A/N: this is for the 5/20/20 fandoms challenge.
Mona rang the doorbell of the Montgomery home and hoped that Mike or his dad would answer.
She really couldn't deal with Aria's bullshit right now, but it seemed as if luck wasn't on her side.
The door opened to reveal her classmate.
"What are you doing here?" Aria asked.
"I'm here to see Mike. Did you think that your pathetic attempts to threaten me would work?" Mona said, raising her eyebrow.
"I told you that I don't want you to pull him into your schemes. He's really into you and I don't want you to use him."
Mona stood silent for a moment trying to find the right words.
"I'm not with him to spite you, Aria. I like him and for some reason he likes me despite everything I've done. I've changed and Mike knows that, so why can't you see it?"
"I don't trust you. You say you've changed but how do we know that's true? I would prefer if you broke up with Mike and save him the heartbreak" Aria asked.
"What have I done since coming out of Radley other than help you all? What more can I do to make amends? Also, I'm not breaking up with Mike. That's up to him," Mona asked.
She was unused to showing her vulnerable side to anyone but if the girls were going to trust her then she had to show that she was still human.
It was boring rehashing the same argument over and over again. It seemed as of she would have to show that she wasn't going to betray Mike, or them again and didn't know how to get them to see it.
Aria, Hanna, and Emily, and even Spencer may come around eventually, but Allison definitely wouldn't. She was still the same conniving manipulative butch she had always been but Mona didn't care about her.
"Aria, is that Mona?" Mike called.
"Yes it is," she called back and moved out of the way to let him through.
"You alright?" he asked.
"Better now you're here," she replied.
And it was true. When she was with Mike it was like all her troubles faded away.
