It was a sunny Saturday morning and everyone in the Wolf household was enjoying a good sleeping in after a late Friday...well everyone except Walden, he was tasked with the grocery shopping.
"Augh...Saturday" groaned Walden getting out of bed while his brothers were asleep.
After a trip to the bathroom, he went downstairs to go make himself some coffee. He looked in the freezer and looked around for Pop-Tarts and after a few seconds of searching he found a pack it had Winston's name on it but Walden opened them and ate them anyway.
"That's for eating my piece of the cherry pie" Walden muttered to himself.
Walden grabbed his coffee from the coffee maker and sat at the table and looked at his phone, looking at his various notifications and such. While he was just browsing his phone the first one down to the kitchen was Wanda who was holding Sunny with Winnie following behind her.
"Morning Walden" smiled Wanda.
"Morning Ma" smiled Walden.
"Walden!" smiled Sunny.
"That's right sweetie, that's your brother," said Wanda.
"Hey Walden!" exclaimed Winnie.
"Hey there are my favorite sisters" chuckled Walden.
Winnie sat down at the table next to Walden, he pat her head and then went back to his phone and he soon got a text from his girlfriend Kendra.
Mornin babe
Walden texted her back.
Hey beautiful, wanna hang out today?
Soon he received a text back.
Of course!
Walden smiled and raised his fist in the air, he loved hanging with Kendra and Wanda took notice of him raising his fist in victory.
"What happened?" asked Wanda pouring herself coffee.
"Oh, Kendra and I are gonna hang...maybe I'll bring her grocery shopping with me, and then we'll hang after I drop everything off" replied Walden.
"Oh, well in that case can you bring Sunny, Winnie, and Dennis with you?" asked Wanda.
"Dennis?" asked Walden puzzled.
"He's coming over for a play date!" exclaimed Winnie excitedly.
"Yeah, Mavis is gonna drop him off later" replied Wanda.
"Sure, what the heck? The more the merrier" chuckled Walden.
"Thanks, sweetie, here's the list of what we need, and here's some money...I even put in a little extra so you can take the kids and now Kendra to breakfast" smiled Wanda handing him a grocery list and money.
Walden looked over the list which was nearly a mile long, the bulk of the list were ingredients that Waldo wanted for things he wanted to cook in the future. Walden looked at the list with shock and awe but he had to get it all.
"Alright I'm gonna hop in the shower and get ready," said Walden.
Walden headed upstairs and as he walked past the bedroom he saw Winston standing in the doorway.
"Ha, ha you gotta go get groceries" teased Winston.
"Ha, ha I don't need to be chauffeured around anywhere" retorted Walden in a mocking tone.
Winston kicked the air like he was kicking dirt as Walden walked away.
Walden went to shower and soon Mavis pulled up to the front of the house and knocked on the door, Wanda went to answer while holding Sunny and Winnie ran excitedly to the door.
"Hi Mavis" smiled Wanda.
"Mavis!" exclaimed Sunny.
"Very good dear" smiled Wanda.
"Hey Auntie Wanda, thanks for watching Dennis for me he was very excited about this play date" replied Mavis.
"Oh anytime, he's always more than welcome" smiled Wanda.
"Dennis!" exclaimed Winnie.
The two laughed and hugged as they were so happy to see each other.
"Hi Winnie I can't wait to play with you!" exclaimed Dennis
"Now you be good and do what Auntie Wanda says" smiled Mavis.
"Okay mommy" smiled Dennis.
Mavis kissed him goodbye and waved to Wanda and drove back to the hotel, the two ran into the living room to watch some cartoons.
Walden finished up in the shower and headed back to the bedroom with his towel wrapped around his waist and went to his closet to grab clothes and get dressed while the rest of his brothers were getting up from their slumbers. One of the first to wake up was Waldo.
"Hey Walden," said Waldo rubbing sleep from his eyes.
"Sup bro?" asked Walden.
"Not much, hey I know you're going grocery shopping so you could do me a favor the meats that I'm asking for on the list can you get them from that new butcher shop on Colchester Ave? I wanna try them" asked Waldo.
"Isn't that a predominantly vegan neighborhood?" asked Walden.
"Yeah and word is not a lot of people are happy about it but I don't care" replied Waldo.
"Yeah I hear you, no sweat I'll go" smiled Walden putting on jeans.
"Thanks, bro" replied Waldo.
Walden threw on a white t-shirt and put on his sneakers and headed downstairs, he saw Dennis and Winnie laughing at cartoons on the TV.
"Hey Dennis," said Walden.
"Hi, Walden" smiled Dennis.
"High five!" exclaimed Walden raising his arm as high as he could.
Dennis noticed and transformed into a bat and slapped Walden's hand with his wing.
"I forgot you can do that, but anyways you guys are gonna get to come with me and my girlfriend Kendra to go grocery shopping" chuckled Walden.
"Okay, Walden" smiled Dennis.
"And if you guys are good, which I know you will be I'll take you all to the park after I drop the groceries" smiled Walden.
"YAY!" exclaimed Winnie and Dennis.
"Alright now everyone into the car," said Walden.
Winnie shut off the TV and she and Dennis walked to the door Wanda handed him Sunny, Walden held her in his arms and smiled at her.
"Later mom" smiled Walden.
Walden and the kids headed to the car, Walden unlocked the doors and helped each kid into their car seats. When they were all fastened and settled Walden shut the door and headed to the driver's seat.
"Alright first stop, Kendra," said Walden.
"Who's Kendra?" asked Dennis.
"Walden's girlfriend" replied Winnie.
"Eww," said Dennis.
"Well I'm your girlfriend though" smiled Winnie batting her eyes.
"Aughhhhh" groaned Dennis.
Walden started the car and backed out of the driveway and drove off to pick up his girlfriend and then go take care of business. Kendra didn't live too far from the Wolf residence, it was like fifteen minutes by car. Walden was driving and listening to some music.
"And I wanna take you down, but your soul cannot be found..." Walden crooned along to Saliva's Your Disease.
Winnie and Dennis didn't mind the choice in music since they were too busy making silly faces at each other and laughing while Sunny was looking out the window. Soon Walden pulled up to Kendra's house and saw her standing there in her plaid skirt and black shirt. He honked the horn at her.
"Hey gorgeous, your chariot awaits" smiled, Walden.
Kendra walked to the car and got in the passenger seat.
"She's so pretty" smiled Dennis.
"Awww why thank you, who's this little guy?" asked Kendra.
"Oh that's my friend Mavis' son Dennis" replied Walden.
"Awww, hi Dennis nice to meet you I'm Kendra. Hi Winnie, hi Sunny" said Kendra waving to them.
"Hi, Kendra" smiled Winnie.
"Kendah!" exclaimed Sunny.
"That's right" replied Walden.
Kendra got comfy in the seat and she and Walden began to kiss much to Dennis' chagrin.
"Gross," said Dennis disgusted.
Winnie looked at him and leaned as far as she could and planted a smooch on Dennis' face, and he looked nauseous.
"Double gross!" exclaimed Dennis.
Walden drove with them to the grocery store which wasn't that far away.
"So you're the babysitter today?" chuckled Kendra.
"Correction, we're" chuckled Walden.
"Kinda feels like we're parents" chuckled Kendra.
"Tell me about it" Walden chuckled.
They got to the grocery store and everyone got out Walden grabbed a cart and sat the three kids in the top basket, since they were all small they could fit. Walden pushed the cart and Kendra walked beside him, she took notice of the shopping list that Walden had.
"Jeez are you guys feeding the Marines?" asked Kendra looking at the list.
"Nah, we call this Monday" replied Walden.
They entered the store and Walden headed into the aisles, grabbing anything and everything on the list. After thirty minutes of shopping, he had a cart filled to the brim with various foods and beverages and such. They went up to check out and after the cashier was done ringing everything Walden paid and they headed out the door.
"Alright, next stop that newly opened butcher shop Colchester," said Walden.
Kendra winced a bit.
"Ooh, I know the people over there were very peeved at that," said Kendra.
"So I heard" replied Walden
Walden packed the car and Kendra put the kids in their car seats. When Walden finished up he headed to the driver's seat while Kendra was in the passenger seat. Walden pulled out of the parking lot and headed to the butcher shop. When Walden approached Colchester he noticed a large crowd in the street.
"What the hell is going on?" Walden mumbled.
"Well looks like the people here really want the butcher shop out" replied Kendra.
Protestors were blocking the streets, in the car Dennis and Winnie and Sunny looked scared.
"What's going on?" asked Winnie scared.
"Everything's gonna be alright" reassured Kendra.
Walden drove down the street hoping the protestors would make way for him but before he got to the crosswalk to park around the corner to go to the shop the car was soon surrounded.
"Can you guys move it so I can turn and park?" asked Walden.
"Don't tell me you're going to go to that filth hole butcher shop!" yelled a protestor.
"None of your business if I do!" exclaimed Walden.
"MURDERER!" yelled a protestor.
"Whatever, will you just move you're scaring my sisters and their friend!" yelled Walden.
The protestors didn't even budge.
"Guys come on we can't even see the cars!" exclaimed Kendra.
Walden clutched the steering wheel, he felt a vein throbbing in his head...the combination of the protestors and his sisters and Dennis being scared and Kendra being upset set him off. Walden unlocked the door and violently swung it open the door knocking a few protestors to the ground.
"GET THE F*&^ OUT OF THE WAY I CAN'T SEE! THERE ARE CARS COMING MOTHERF*&^%$#, GET OUT OF THE WAY!" exclaimed Walden.
The protestors moved and Walden sped off and drove.
Kendra and the kids all looked at Walden with such surprise, never had they seen him that angry. I mean when Walden first brought Kendra for dinner they saw him get upset at Winston but never like that, especially the word he used, now Walden did have a potty mouth but nothing like that. Walden was so angry he completely forgot what he was doing and drove home.
"Walden..." said Kendra.
Walden ignored her because he was angry that those protestors scared his sisters and Dennis all of who he cared very much for. Winnie and Dennis and Sunny soon went from scared to confused.
"I wonder what that word means," said Dennis.
"Which one?" asked Winnie.
"F$# " said Dennis.
"Yeah, I wonder what F%! means too" replied Winnie.
"Maybe we can ask your mom because Walden looks upset," said Dennis.
"Good plan" smiled Winnie.
