Original prompt idea by queenofthefaces on twitter about Reigen being defensive and insecure about the taste of his blood. I liked the idea and decided to write some. The vampire Reigen should be coming soon too.

Tagged as MobRei but you really need to squint to see it since it would be pre-slash. I still tagged it because there's enough hint of it that it might not please some. Y'all are warned ┐( ̄∀ ̄)┌

The night Reigen had found Mob kneeling in an alleyway with the bottom of his face bloodied and a body against the wall, he had been more than shocked. He had then wondered what would be the best way to get Mob out of whatever situation he had just gotten himself into. Maybe if he was quick and careful enough, they wouldn't leave big pieces of evidence behind.

"Shisho!" Mob gasped when Reigen started making his way towards him, looking panicked and distressed. The man would lie if he said he hadn't been a little nervous about getting closer, but chucking this feeling aside as soon as it came. It was Mob, his distressed student, he knew he'd be fine.

And more importantly, he knew the boy needed him right now.

First, he noticed how the person slumped against the wall was still breathing, so at least he wasn't dealing with a murder. That was already a positive point on their side. But he soon forgot all about that person, kneeling at Mob height instead.

He gently placed his hands on the boy's shoulders, thumbs rubbing circles against them in an attempt to calm him down. Mob kept mumbling about it not being what he wanted to do and apologising. Reigen hated seeing his student like this, reminded him of how worried he was about his psychic powers around people.

"Mob." he firmly called out, smiling at the teen when he finally looked up at him properly. "It's alright, he's not dead, everything will be okay" he assured him. Well, he wasn't sure if it was true, but the man didn't seem to be bleeding anymore, so he should be fine. "Let me take care of this for you, okay? All you need to do is try to wash your face a little bit".

Mob still looked unsure, but nodded none the least, trusting him like always.

After that Reigen went and bought a water bottle from a nearby convenience store, ruining his handkerchief while cleaning the blood off the man. Thankfully there wasn't much blood on his shirt, so all that was really left behind were the two little holes in his neck.

The situation started to make sense to him after that.

Mob had then looked unsure when they left the man there, although Reigen assured him it would be fine. He'd likely wake up sooner or later and hopefully would only have vague memories of what had happened. Plus, it's not really like anyone would believe someone as small and scrawny as Mob could ever do something like this.

Seeing how shaken up Mob was about all this, and the state of his clothing, he decided to bring him to his apartment. It was late and the closest place right now and he couldn't leave the boy alone after this. He remembered him mentioning his parents being away for the weekend.

He left Mob to take a shower, letting him borrow some clean clothes for the night since he had put Mob's bloodied outfit in the washing machine (he tried not to think about just how adorable Mob looked in his clothes). He even made some tea for them to drink while they sat down at the dining table to talk.

"Sooo" Reigen started, "Do you want to tell me about what happened back there?" he asked. He had started to have his own suspicion of what might be going on, but he prefered letting Mob tell him at his own rhythm.

At first, Mob was quiet seemingly thinking about it. Reigen was starting to believe maybe the teen wouldn't tell him at all, at least not that night. But then Mob started explaining the situation.

A couple of years ago, even before first meeting Reigen about his psychic powers, he had been turned into a vampire after an unfortunate meeting. Since then Mob had been trying to feed himself off of wild animals and drink from humans as little as possible. But since he had hit puberty it was getting hard to keep on drinking only from animals and with large gaps in between.

"I'm sorry I kept this from Shisho" Mob finished, looking down at his tea. "I was already asking you for help with my psychic powers, I didn't want to scare you away with this" he added, lips pressed in a thin line, looking a bit worried.

Reigen could understand where the worry came from, the idea of vampires could be scary. But he felt like, after seeing to what extent Mob's power could go, him needing to drink blood wasn't all that much.

"Don't worry Mob" he smiled gently to him, fingers drumming softly against his teacup, "I too would have likely hidden it" he admitted. This seemed enough to make the boy relax, tension leaving his body pretty visibly.

But then Reigen started thinking about how this seemed to be a source of trouble for his little student. He had already managed to help him with his psychic power, to a certain degree, and he sure was ready to help him with this too. Mob couldn't go around worrying he'd attack someone because he was too hungry and he also couldn't go around just not eating enough.

But he also understood very well that the young teen was scared of this need for blood he had. Not only was Mob worrying about his psychic power hurting others, but he also worried about attacking people and taking blood from them. With that fear, he could understand why he wouldn't nourish himself properly.

"Why don't I help you with this too" the man offered with a smile. "After all, it's not good for you not to eat properly while you are still growing" he pointed out, disliking the idea of Mob not properly nourishing himself. "So don't worry, Mob, I'll find a solution to make sure you can properly get blood without harming anyone".

"You will?" Mob asked, the hopefulness in Mob's voice making his heart ache. A Teen his age truly shouldn't be worrying about this kind of thing all the time.

"Of course, I will" Reigen assured him. He then noticed it was getting late, suggesting Mob goes to sleep for now. Mob thanked him for the help, before getting himself ready for bed, Reigen having prepared a futon for him.

The older man followed not too long later, first making sure that he had put the teen's clothes to dry. The next day was Monday and he'd still need to wake up early. Yet it didn't stop him from thinking for a part of the night.

And the following day he did the same, walking Mob back to his house on his way to the office, wanting to make sure he'd be alright. Then the day went like usual, taking care of clients while waiting for Mob to come after school.

It was a slower day, so he had time to think of a solution. And if he had to be honest, an easy solution came quickly to his mind:

He could be Mob's blood supply.

In his opinion, it was the most efficient way to do it and keep Mob in better health. Plus, he fully trusted the young man not to harm him in the process. And well, more importantly, he was ready to do anything to make sure Mob could live his best life and not have to worry so much.

If it meant letting him drink some of his blood, then so be it, he'd do it until the day he died.

"Ah, Mob!" Reigen smiled when the young man finally arrived. Just the right timing, seeing the previous client had just gotten out. "I've already got a solution for you" he added with a grin, Ekubo arching a brow at his words.

"Do you?" Mob asked, sounding clearly surprised and happy that he managed to find a solution so quickly.

"Solution for what?" Ekubo asked. His question left Reigen being both surprised he didn't know, seeing how he seemed to have followed Mob around since he met him; And somewhat pretty happy he was actually the first one Mob told about. Well, the first one under reasons that forced it a little, but still the first one none the least.

"Of course I do, I wouldn't be the great Arataka Reigen otherwise," he tells Mob as he gets up from his desk, walking around to join him. "And I found that the easiest way for you to get blood is by using me" he stated.

The teenager's eyes immediately grew a little bit, looking a little pale at the idea. "W-what? I couldn't possibly… What if I hurt Shisho!?" he asked.

Reigen stopped in front of him, hands comings back to his shoulders, thumbs rubbing soothingly against them. "I trust you will never cause me any harm" Reigen stated confidently, "Do you trust me?" he then asked him.

Mob nodded at his question, which made him smile a little more. "Then trust me with this too, Mob" he simply asked, "I know everything will be okay".

Then he took back his hands, going to the couch instead. "Did you get enough yesterday? We can try it now otherwise" he suggested. He was already sitting down anyway, ready to take a break after the last client.

"Why does Shigeo need your blood?" Ekubo asked.

"You're the powerful spirit here and didn't figure it out yet?" Reigen asked with a shit-eating grin, not ready to feed it to him. "Took me a moment yesterday to somewhat figured it out" he then added, just to add a little more.

He stopped giving attention to the floating spirit quickly though as he sees Mob start walking towards him. The young man stopped in front of him, looking a bit more confident than before. "I… I didn't get much yesterday because I panicked soon after" he admitted, as honest as always.

"Then we can try it now" he suggested, patting the place next to him on the couch. "Today's been pretty slow honestly and I doubt people will run to us right now" he admitted, "Though it's probably better to lock the door". At his words, he heard the familiar click of the lock, assuming Mob used his power to do it.

Before he could add any more, Mob finally joined him on the couch. But instead of sitting next to him like he thought he would do, he felt the teen settle in his lap, straddling him. This left Reigen with hovering hands, unsure where to put them now that Mob was on him.

He nonchalantly went to loosen his tie, shrugging off his coat just in case too, letting it sit on the armrest of the couch. He was finishing opening the collar of his shirt when he felt shaky hands grab his shoulders, making him look up at Mob.

He still looked unsure, probably feeling like and thinking he was unable to control this part of him as he once did with his powers. One of his hands ended up on Mob's back, gently rubbing circles to try and relax him, the other one settling on his waist, still unsure where to put it. He tried not to think about what it looked like from the outside, focusing on Mob instead.

"Take your time" he simply stated, "And if you really can't do it, we will try again later" he then suggested. If Mob was able to drink even a little the night before, he'd probably be fine for a certain moment, right? They could come up with something until it wasn't enough.

His student nodded, "I can do it" he assured him, relaxing into his touch, "Tell me if… if it starts to hurt" he then asked him. Reigen wanted to shrug off the warning, say that of course he'd be alright and it wouldn't hurt. But he felt like this wasn't what the young man needed right now, so instead, he reassured him "Don't worry, I will".

He then waited, letting Mob gather whatever he needed to do this. After a long stretch of silence Mob finally bend down towards his neck, hot breath hitting his skin. He was a little surprised by the feeling of soft lips simply touching his skin for a moment, wondering what the young man was doing.

Then a sharp pain came.

He couldn't help but tense a little bit, keeping in the sound that had wanted to escape his lips. The hand on Mob's back went to his head quickly, gently patting him and brushing his hair as he seemed ready to pull away at his reaction. "I'm good, don't worry" he quickly said, "I was just a little startled" he replied, which wasn't really a lie.

Mob didn't move, then seem to go back to what he was about to do before, finally drinking his blood.

Reigen would lie if he said it stayed painful. Sure, there was discomfort, but something else was creeping up inside him and he tried to push that far back in his mind. This was very much not something he wanted to think about when Mob was in his lap like this. Especially when the position and moment felt so intimate, at least, would be if Ekubo wasn't still in the room. At least he had the decency not to look.

After a while Mob pulled back, Reigen quickly putting his hand away, having not realised he was still holding him slightly. He was about to comment on how it wasn't so bad after all, when he noticed Mob was clearly trying to not make a face.

"What?" he asked, unsure if he should be worried.

"I-it's nothing" Mob replies first, not looking at him directly.

"Mob, I want to help you," He said again, "but it won't work if you don't tell me if something's wrong" he pointed out.

The young man seemed to hesitate, before finally telling him. "Shisho's blood… could taste better" he finally says, having clearly thought about how to put it gently. Ekubo immediately burst out laughing above them, repeating what Mob had just said.

Reigen couldn't help but feel his face suddenly grow warmer, looking away in embarrassment. "Come on, Mob, I'm sure my blood tastes better than what you usually find in random animals" he comments. When nothing comes he felt even more defensive and insecure.

He couldn't be tasting worse than some animal?!

Reigen shouldn't feel as insecure and defensive over the taste of his damn blood, but Mob's lack of answer and Ekubo's second fit of laughter sure didn't help him feel good about it. Clearly, he must not have hidden his sudden feelings about it, because Mob started to get agitated in his lap.

"It's not bad!" he quickly replied, "I've tasted worse" which doesn't actually help Reigen feel better. "I-I just think… maybe Shisho should try eating healthier meals and do more exercise" he suggested.

Reigen tried to ignore Ekubo, who had finally been shushed away by Mob, sighing as he let his head fall on the backrest. He can't believe he's being told by his 14 year olds student that he should change his habits to be healthier. How embarrassing is that?!

"Whatever" he sighs before noticing Mob still looking fidgety and worried that he said something bad. Reigen cannot help the little smile on his lips, not wanting to see him worried about it either. "Don't worry about it" he assured him, pushing aside his feeling, before his hand patted the side of Mob's thigh, "Let's get back to work now, with some chance we might get one last client today" he added to change the subject.

Mob finally scrambled off of him, Reigen getting up soon after, although he did regret doing it so quickly. When Mob give him an unsure look he smiled back normally. He then made his way to the mirror a bit more slowly, taking a look at the bite.

Two little holes like the day before, although this time there's no bloody scene, Mob having licked everything off. He even thought of biting low enough that it would be easier to hide with the collar of his shirt.

Then the rest of the day flew by without much happening out of the ordinary, aside from Ekubo who kept mocking him. Mob did try to check if he was alright again on their way back out, Reigen having to assure him he was indeed alright about everything.

And this was somewhat of a lie. He was still kind of embarrassingly insecure about the fact that Mob thought his blood tasted basically gross. But, he had decided to help his student out, which meant he shouldn't focus on only that.

He would work hard to make it taste better for Mob! Plus, if it tasted better, it would mean the quality was better right? Which mean it will be better for Mob's health overall too. He'll make sure to taste like the finest blood bag out there, like this he would be sure Mob will never need anyone else or worry about his own health because of low-quality blood!

That very night he decided to already start eating better, doing some research on what meal would be better. Unfortunately, and pretty understandably too though, there was no guide on how to make his blood taste better. All he found were pretty obscure websites with some slightly concerning other things on there.

So with that newly added knowledge, he started eating better, trying to go for healthier food and thing that should make his blood less bitter (according to some shady website). He took up running in the morning, as much as he hated it, and exercising more when he could make time for it.

He also tried to stop smoking, which was admittedly harder than he thought it would be. He knew it was bad for his health, but he had taken the habit so long ago and never had any reason to really stop. Apparently, it took Mob to really flip all his habits upside down.

He wasn't sure if he would have been able to change his habits enough for the next time Mob would need to eat. But then, three weeks went by without anything coming from Mob and he wasn't sure if he was really alright or if he was just too shy to ask.

"Oi, Mob" he called as closing hours were getting closer and the last clients had been gone for a while now. "It's been a little more than three weeks now, what did I say about not starving yourself?" he asked. He wasn't sure how long the young man should be able to stand, but it couldn't be this long, right?

"Ah, sorry, I-I usually went longer without it" Mob then replied, looking away, "And I didn't know how to ask" he then admitted.

To this Reigen nodded. He supposed it made sense he didn't quite know how to ask, he could hardly see Mob be actually upfront about it. But the teen also needed the proper food for his health and shouldn't stretch it so much. He was certain Mob would start feeling even better if he could drink more often.

He then got up, going to lock the door as he shrugged off his coat. It was close enough to closing hours, a dozen minutes earlier should be alright. He then made his way to the couch like last time, dropping his coat on the armrest again.

He sat down comfortably, hands already loosening his tie and opening buttons. He offered a smile when Mob stood up and started making his way to him, happy to see it didn't take too much convincing either.

He felt less surprised this time when Mob crawled into his lap, straddling him again. He assumed this had to be a position he felt more comfortable doing it. Something deep in Reigen's mind kept whispering that he sure didn't mind this position anyway, before quieting them down.

"I made sure to eat more healthy and move more" he stated, rather proud of himself for something like this, "So it should be… better than last time". Mob offered him a little smile at his words, nodding.

Reigen noticed that Ekubo had seemingly gone away this time, which he was thankful for. In this position, it felt a bit weird and awkward for him to have someone else around. Especially when Mob was still so young.

This time Mob hesitated less before going for the crook of his neck. The older man tried to relax as much as possible, thinking it would help with the pain later. And yet again, soft lips stayed on his neck for a moment, as if kissing the skin as an apology before biting down.

As expected the pain did come first, before fading away into something else. He closed his eyes as he took a deep breath, hands grabbing onto Mob lightly, helping him ignore the warmth it caused inside him.

The teen drank less than the previous time, which he assumed was probably expected since he had drank a lot that time. That or maybe Mob didn't want him to feel dizzy because he took too much blood from him.

"Shisho also started smoking less?" Mob commented, which did surprise Reigen a little bit.

"Ah, yeah I did, figured it would be better in all cases anyway" he replied, "I didn't know it would show so much seeing I haven't fully stopped yet" he admitted.

Mob seemed rather pleased to hear he was quitting his smoking habits, before nodding a little. "Well, the taste is still there even if less than before" he stated, which made Reigen sigh a little, "But I did notice that the smell of smoke on Shisho's clothing was less strong than before" Mob explained. Reigen had even less expected the young man to notice so many things about him like this.

"Does it at least taste better?" he asked, feeling a little pathetic that he wanted so bad to have some positive feedback about his blood.

"It is better" Mob smiled gently, "It's clear that your eating habits as changed and most of the bitter taste comes from you smoking" he then explained. Reigen hadn't expected full feedback about it, but he would take note anyway, even though quitting smoking wasn't that easy.

"Shisho is working so hard for me, thank you" he then added.

This made Reigen look back at the young man yet again, a soft smile settling on his lips. He went and gently ruffled Mob's hair, "I did say I would help you" he pointed out, "It's about your well-being, so of course, I would work hard on this". Had it been anyone else Reigen didn't think he would have been as ready to help or go as far, but for Mob he was ready to do it.

A comfortable silence then settled between them, neither making a move to get up. After a while, Reigen did take a look at the time a got surprised by just how much time had passed already.

"Ah, we should get going," he said, "Wouldn't want your family getting worried about me keeping you too late". Well, Ritsu would especially be, Mob's parents were strangely very alight with everything. Mob's brother seemed to already have a bad enough idea of him, he didn't need to add to it.

Mob stayed quiet for a moment longer, before nodding and slowly getting off of him.

They took a moment to put away any document that needed to be, gathered their things and made their way outside. They met up again with the spirit, Ekubo grinning towards him. "So, how's the improvement?" he asked, clearly trying to get to him.

"Taste much better, It's not bad anymore" Reigen replied, knowing it was not true. He did hope that at least he had gotten above the "gross" category and was just in "bitter but alright".

"Hm, it is better, Shisho worked really hard" Mob replied.

Reigen decided not to leave time for Ekubo to really make any more teasing remarks about it, instead turning back to Mob. "By the way, you don't need to stretch so long between each time you eat," he told the teen, "Just ask me next time you feel even just a little bit hungry, a little bit of blood taken more often is better than waiting for longer but needing much more in one sitting" he explained.

Plus, he wasn't sure he could take losing so much blood in one sitting without it being bad in the long run. He knew Mob would only feel guilty and be even more uncomfortable with his need for blood if he ever hurt him because he took too much.

"I want to see you grow healthy and strong, so you can't starve yourself like this, okay?" he then told him, wanting to make sure he understood him.

Mob simply looked at him for a moment, before a smile appeared on his lips. "I will ask you sooner next time" he assured him, which earned him a pat on the shoulder. This did put Reigen at ease, seeing Mob seemingly ready to tell him next time instead of having him come by himself.

He may not yet be the best Mob could have right now, but he sure was ready to keep working hard on this and following Mob's feedback. He'd get there eventually, with some more work put into it.

But it was for Mob, so he was ready to put all this effort into it.

Look at Reigen, ready to bail Mob out of a potential murder without even a moment of hesitation.

And look at him again, being so dedicated to his little student that he's ready to change all his habits just so Mob can nourish himself properly and it also tastes good.
