Uncle Phoenix found a penny on the ground and tried to pick it up.

"Ahhhh my fingertips are burning!" cried Uncle Phoenix.

John Phoenix used a forensic science minigame to determine there was poison on it.

"But who could've done this, John Phoenix?" asked Kyle Hyde from the Kyle Hyde series. "Who put poison on the ground penny"

"I think I know," said John Phoenix. It turns out it was Dylan Fitchar.

DEFENSE LOBBY

"Thanks for solving that crime, John Phoenix," said Uncle Phoenix. "At least I have this penny now that I've cleaned all the poison off. Every little bit helps."

"OBJECTION not so fast, Uncle Phoenix! You expended more calories bending over and picking up that penny than you could buy back with one cent. Therefore, by picking up that penny you are actually worse off than you were before."

"Oh" said Uncle Phoenix. John Phoenix took the penny away from him.

"Wait..." said Kyle, furrowing his brow and cupping his chin. "That penny... there's something weird about it!"

The screen swirled and Kyle Hyde played a minigame where he zoomed in and out on a penny until it wasn't blurry anymore.

DUH NUH NUH NUH NUH (screen flashed white)

"Got it" he smirked, pleased, with eyes closed.

It turns out it was a rare penny worth two billion dollars.

"Your really lucky to have that penny, John Phoenix!" said Miles Edgeworth.

"I know," said John Phoenix. "That's why I took it from my Uncle Phoenix. And that's why I took it out of Dylan's pocket and put it on the ground and put poison on it- so I could frame Dylan and obtain legal ownership of the rare penny."

The audience cheered! What a great turnabout for John Phoenix! He and Kyle Hyde shook hands manfully.
