The One Who Did The Most
Summary: Five times that someone questioned if Shouta Aizawa came from money, and the one time that he admitted it.
Author's Note: Hey everyone! This was a random idea I had a long time ago of a random thing I wanted to do with rich Aizawa. This didn't really go the way that I planned it in my head, but either way, I hope you enjoy! On with the fic!
Pairings: Minor Hizashi Yamada/Shouta Aizawa, implied BakuTodo and DekuShin or even a mixture of the four in any way you would want xD
The One Who Did The Most
One – Yamada Hizashi
There were a few odd things about Shouta Aizawa. Ever since the day that he met him, he was always very minimalistic. He didn't get special lunches or bring anything with him. Preferring to snack on small things like crackers. He never had anything flashy. Just what he needed to get by. His bag was just a standard one from the department store. His shoes were cheap looking.
Then there was the flip side. Whenever they were not at all, Aizawa was dressed differently. His clothes all looked like high end brands. Even more expensive than the clothes that Hizashi wore, and he spent a lot on his clothes. It's when he started paying more attention. Aizawa's phone was top notch. One of the most expensive ones out there. His shoes even looked nicer. Not worn out like the ones he typically wore to school.
It was like having whiplash looking between what Aizawa brought to school compared to what he did outside of it. Aizawa's demeanor never changed, but it was small things that he would see.
It had him questioning so much.
Finally, he broke.
"Aizawa, are you secretly rich?" He questioned.
Aizawa peered up at him, looking up from his phone. "No." It was all he said on it. Not saying another word to Hizashi as he turned his attention back to his phone. "Are you just going to ask me another stupid question or are we going to go?"
Hizashi blinked and nodded, "Alright, let's go."
It just left Hizashi with more questions than answers.

Two – Shirakumo Oboro
After hearing Hizashi's thoughts on Shouta, Shirakumo had decided to do some digging. He had seen everything that Hizashi had. He was ready to get to the bottom of it. Usually, students who attended U.A. lived very comfortably. Their families made enough to support themselves and the tuition to attend the school. Some students could get in on scholarships or financial aid, but it only went so far. It didn't account for many things.
Shirakumo had been spending more time with them outside of school, and he was even starting to notice that some of Shouta's mannerisms weren't lining up. Shouta never really showed much. Usually just always had an apathetic look or just never really spoke.
He had also noticed another thing. Most of the time, they spent time at Hizashi or Shirakumo's house. Never Shouta's.
That's how he decided to bring it up. Shirakumo was convinced. Shouta was a rich kid. He was sure about it.
"Shouta!" He exclaimed, slipping down next to Shouta where he was leaning back against a tree with a book in his lap. Shouta looked up at him, not saying a word like normal. "We should have our study time at your house!"
Shouta's demeanor immediately changed as he snapped his book shut and shook his head. The annoyance on his face. "Did Hizashi put you up to this?"
"Of course not!" Shirakumo exclaimed, grinning, "You just come to our houses all the time! It would be cool to see where you live!"
"No." Shouta shot back, pushing himself up as he picked up his worn book bag and put his book back inside. "It's time to go home."
Shirakumo wasn't able to get him to stop, but the smirk came to his face. "Oh, you are totally hiding it." He kept the smile on his face as he bounced on his feet, chasing after Shouta to catch up to him.

Three – Kayama Nemuri
Nemuri was absolutely sure that Shouta Aizawa was hiding the fact he came from money. Ever since she had met him, it was more clear. Aizawa would mostly spend time away from home when he was working cases, even taking to sleeping in the most random of places to ensure he was close to his work.
She knew that he lived in a good house with Hizashi since the two of them lived together. Her thoughts were only more confirmed when Hizashi told her that the house actually belonged to Aizawa, and he had moved into the home with him.
When she had visited, she had caught sight of a quite a few items that were pricey. Pricer than than even how much she made as a pro hero and her teaching job.
Still, Aizawa didn't admit to a thing.
In the end, she had decided to question one of the items in their house. She would have assumed it was Hizashi's choice for it since it seemed more like something he would buy and Aizawa was the most minimalistic person she had ever seen. She would have thought that, if it wasn't for Hizashi telling her it had been in the home long before he had moved in.
The home was a large one too. It had many rooms. More than what she would guess Aizawa would move into. Especially off of the little bit of pay that Underground Heroes made. She had already put his application in to U.A. She didn't want to assume. Aizawa lived pretty well for a person who appeared like he didn't have much money.
What she had decided to ask about was an expensive looking rug that was on the floor. It looked and felt like many rugs that had been at one of the most expensive home furnishing stores.
"Oh, Aizawa…" Nemuri questioned, pointing down at the rug as the Erasure Hero turned to look at her. He was leaning on the counter beside where Hizashi was quick at work making dinner. Aizawa peeked up as Hizashi leaned down next to him. "Where did you get this rug? This looks really expensive."
Aizawa looked annoyed for a second before he was grumbling out, "My mother." Nemuri knew there was no getting an actual straight answer from him. Though, he was probably telling the truth.
She was still absolutely sure that Aizawa was born into a rich family, and just didn't want to say it.

Four – Yagi Toshinori
Seeing Shouta Aizawa cleaned up, face shaven, and in a suit was a very rare sight. Aizawa was standing across the room, pinning half of his hair behind his head. His wedding ring was in full display as he twisted his hair up. A golden band of pure gold glistening against the light.
His suit looked immaculate. It fit him perfectly. Like it was tailored to his body. Even the fabric looked high end. His button up shirt even looked like it was made of silk and not just regular cotton. There was something about the suit that was sticking out to him.
With his hair done, the two of them headed out into the gala where the others were waiting. As they walked side by side, Toshinori was able to get a better look at the suit that he was wearing. There was a special stitching on it. One that he recognized. It was the same stitching on many of his suits. The same stitching that one of the finest suit makers used.
And that suit maker charged a lot for their services.
"I didn't know that you could afford such an expensive suit, Aizawa-kun." Toshinori stated. Though, he mentally slapped himself at what he had just said. Implying that Aizawa didn't really have funds. Though, the way that he seemed to live would point in that direction. Still, it felt rude. "It looks good on you."
Aizawa hummed, digging his hands into his pockets. "There are sometimes that I have to look like I care." That was all he said on it. Not going any further and Toshinori wasn't going to push it. Aizawa could be frightening when he wanted to be, and Toshinori absolutely did not want to be on the receiving end of that.
As they got back into the gala, he had started to notice other details. How poised Aizawa held himself. How he seemed to fit right in with all the people in attendance who had money they could just throw around and still have a load left over. He was able to speak and move around with them as if nothing else mattered.
Toshinori had excused himself, moving on to finding their students. The thought plagued his mind. Even though he had plenty of money. Being far well off now compared to when he was a child, even donating a large portion of his earnings to different charities while also keeping a good amount for himself to live off of in retirement, even he couldn't fit in that well. He could fake it, but never to the point that if someone on the outside looked in, they wouldn't tell the difference.
Faking it was not easy. People who came from money tended to just know if someone didn't come from it. This gala was to continue to get sponsors for U.A. and help out their aspiring heroes. It was the entire reason they were here, and here Aizawa was getting deals left and right. A part of him wondered if Aizawa's Underground hero work was a reason he could do this, but at the same time, no one was that good at it.
As he also joined back in with conversing with some of the sponsors with some of the students, his gaze went back to Aizawa. Present Mic had joined him, also in a tailored suit like Aizawa, hair in a bun with a matching ring on his finger. Comparing the two, it was clear that Aizawa and Mic were acting differently. How the people they spoke with reacted to the two of them. They were leaning more towards Aizawa compared to Mic. That felt like even more of an odd sight to see.
That was just strange.
He put the thought in the back of his mind. His conclusion, Aizawa learned these tactics and traits in childhood, not from being a hero.

Five – Tsukauchi Naomasa
Tsukauchi almost felt bad that he had to call Aizawa in on his day off. There had been an incident involving four of the Class 1-A students: Bakugou, Todoroki, Shinsou, and Midoriya who had all apparently been on a double date and had encountered a villain.
In the process, a store had been destroyed by Bakugou with an explosion, but that same explosion had taken down the villain.
It was going to cost thousands in damages. He would send the report over to U.A. and hopefully get it settled. The store had little insurance. It wouldn't be able to cover for all the items lost.
He had recounted the story back to Aizawa as he came to pick the four of them up and take them back to the U.A. Campus. Aizawa did not look pleased. His capture weapon was wrapped around all four of his students, quirk activated, and a glare leveled on them as he practically tore them a new one. Tsukauchi didn't even have to give the statement about making sure property damage stayed to a minimum.
By the time he was finished, all four of his students were looking at the ground and Aizawa was turning to give him a tired glance. "Tell the shop owners not to worry about it. We'll get it handled."
Tsukauchi blinked. That had not been the response he originally thought he was going to hear. "U.A. is going to take care of it."
"Yeah. U.A. will be taking care of all the damages." It shocked him even more that he caught Aizawa lying. Though, he was inclined to believe that it would get done. He just wasn't sure how.
He didn't want to necessarily call out Eraserhead on the lie. It wasn't uncommon for the Erasure Hero to make a rational deception from what he was told by Toshinori, but to lie to him. A man with a quirk that could tell if someone was lying to him. Aizawa would know that was the case. His eyes moved back to the students, and that was all the realization that he needed. This wasn't the first time that this has happened involving Class 1-A and probably wouldn't be the last.
With that Aizawa, had departed, signing off and taking his students along with him.
His suspicions were only confirmed when later that week, a report was placed on his desk stating that the damages were covered in full by an anonymous third party.
A smile came to his face.
Don't want your students to know, huh, Eraser?

Plus One – Class 1-A and Endeavor
Their teacher was not an easy man to read. It was never clear what he was thinking. What he was doing. Not one person in his class could explain to an extent what could be going on with their teacher. He was just a book of mysteries that no one could seem to figure out.
It was like he could fit into any situation that life could throw at him. Easily adapt and hide right in plain sight.
Not one person could figure it out.
That was, until they found out the reason why.
They had been invited to the annual Heroes Gala and the Hero Course students from schools all around were invited to attend. It was a prestigious gala that was organized by the Hero Commission but was hosted by one of the most prominent families in the country. Costume designers, heroes, support specialist, businessmen, celebrities, anyone that someone could think of were in attendance.
As the Gala was underway, and Aizawa was telling them how to conduct themselves while they were here. Aizawa was dressed in a fine suit, an expensive one like he had been in at the Sponsor Gala they had attended. As he was speaking to them, he was interrupted by Endeavor walking over.
Endeavor's face never changed as he pointed to the couple that was with him. A tall woman with bright red hair that fell over her shoulders and back in perfect curls and stormy colored grey eyes and a man with short black hair and crystal blue eyes. He motioned to the couple as he addressed them all, "These two are the hosts of this Gala. Kazuto Akabane and his wife Mitsuki. They have been the hosts of this gala for the last ten years."
The class bowed, giving their thanks. As they stood back up, that's when Mitsuki stepped forward, gushing at Aizawa, "Shouta! You look absolutely darling in that suit! I'm so glad you attended this year!"
"It was a good opportunity for my students." Aizawa merely said, trying to look in a different direct. Almost tilting his nose like he was trying to hide his face within his capture weapon. A tick that he normally did when he was wearing it.
"Aizawa-sensei… do you know each other?" Yaoyorozu questioned.
Kazuto turned to look at Yaoyorozu, giving the young teenager a smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you again, Momo."
"Same to you, sir!" Yaoyorozu immediately said, giving another bow.
"What's going on here?" Ashido questioned. "Do you all know each other?"
Yaoyorozu smiled, "This man is Kazuto Akabane. He owns Akabane Industries. He has investment in my family's business. They also sponsor many heroes and fund a lot of the scholarships into hero schools for like I think the last thirteen or so years."
Kazuto smiled, giving a nod. "You've grown. Last time I saw you, you were just a young girl."
Yaoyorozu smiled, "I've come a long way."
"I see that." Kazuto stated, turning his attention back to the rest of the class, "I hope you enjoy your time here."
"Thank you, sir." Was the reply they gained from the students.
"Who is the woman?" Uraraka questioned, leaning in towards Yaoyorozu.
Yaoyorozu smiled, "Mitsuki is a fashion designer. She has designed many of the hero costumes we seen. She also owns a large fashion line. Only the finest line out there. They are one of the richest families in Tokyo."
Mitsuki laughed for a second, "Thank you for the explanation, Momo."
"This doesn't really answer how they know Aizawa-sensei." Kaminari muttered.
Todoroki tilted his head, eyeing Mitsuki for a second before looking at Aizawa again. Then he paused as the air caught in his throat. "Wait a second—"
He wasn't able to finish speaking before Mitsuki was saying, "You guys don't know?"
The murmurs broke out among them as eyes turned to Aizawa to see that he was covering his face with his palm. Endeavor chuckled for a second, "It's surprising that someone like Eraserhead knows such prestigious people."
That was when Aizawa finally peeked back up, a sharp glare on his face. Mitsuki was also wearing a glare that rivaled Aizawa's as Kazuto's eyebrow shot up. "You really did a good job of hiding it. Didn't you, Shouta?"
"Hid what?" Midoriya questioned next.
Aizawa had stayed quiet for a second before he was placing a hand on his hip and tilting his head to the side, "Endeavor, all I can say to you is that I could buy out your agency, pay off all of the people who work for you, buy your house, and pay for Shouto for the rest of his life and barely make a dent into my bank account."
Endeavor's jaw dropped as he blinked. "You can't be—"
Before Endeavor could finish speaking, Present Mic had came up next to Shouta with a drink in hand for him. Aizawa had taken it, tossing it back without so much as cringing and handing it back to his husband. "Oh, what's got you upset, Shou?"
"I'm going to need another before this night is over." Aizawa grumbled, taking Mic's own drink from him, and also tossing it back before anyone could say a thing to him.
"Endeavor…" Kazuto started.
"Shouta's our son." Mitsuki finished, blinking as the realization came next.
The stunned silence fell over Class 1-A as all the small instances came to mind. Aizawa grumbled again as he excused himself, walking away from them. Hizashi sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. "What happened?"
"My father is an idiot." Todoroki mumbled.
"Wait does this mean…" Uraraka started as Mina finished with,
"Aizawa-sensei is filthy rich."
Hizashi chuckled for a second, looking down at the empty glasses in his hand. "Yeah, he doesn't like to talk about it." The Voice Hero stated, letting his gaze fall on to where Aizawa had walked off too.
Mitsuki looked over her shoulder, also looking at Aizawa. "He's always been that way. He doesn't like to reveal he came from money. When he was just a kid, so many people just wanted to be around him because of it. We changed his last name to my family name after that and it got easier for him." She smiled as she looked back to Endeavor, "Don't judge a book by it's cover, Endeavor."
Midoriya stepped forward, the confusion on his face, "Wait, if he's…"
Kazuto chuckled for a moment, "Our Shouta probably has to be the one rich kid we know that doesn't act like he has money. He has an entire inheritance that we had built up for him, and it's still growing since he has barely touched it in the last thirteen years."
Mitsuki was smiling still as she added, "When he graduated from U.A., he told him he could have absolutely anything he wanted, and it surprised us both with what he said."
"What did he want?" Yaoyorozu questioned.
"All he wanted was for us to sponsor and make grants for underprivileged students of all courses for schools all around the country. Financial aid, scholarships, and grants to students and their families… and aid to families who have lost their children or loved ones." Kazuto explained, also looking to Aizawa for a moment before turning his attention back to the class, "It's called the Oboro Shirakumo Grant."
"We've done it ever since." Mitsuki added. "I'm so proud of our Shouta."
Mic had a sad smile on his face for a moment as it changed and he was grinning, "It's nice to see you two again."
"Like wise, Hizashi." Kazuto stated, holding his hand out for Mic to shake. "Keep taking care of our son."
"Of course." Mic replied. He chuckled for a second, "I'm going to go get him before he gets plastered over there."
Mitsuki laughed for a second. "So, like… he just doesn't touch his money? That's so… weird. If that was me, you bet I would just go crazy." Ashido stated, grinning as she bounced on her feet. "We're learning more about our teacher. I never would have guessed."
Kazuto and Mitsuki shared a look before they were laughing to each other. Even Endeavor looked surprised by the action. "You really don't know, I guess." Kazuto stated. "Shouta paid for all of your tuitions and the cost of the dorm system for your families."
That left the class even more stunned. He paid for them to live at U.A. and even attend school there. Mitsuki hummed for a second as she tapped a finger on her chin. "And there were all those transactions for property damage. That list is pretty long."
Bakugou, Midoriya, Todoroki, and Shinsou all shared looks as the sweat dropped on their foreheads.
"Oh, and the revamped hero costumes!" Kazuto added. "School supplies. I could keep going."
Before they knew it, the two were listing off multiple things that Aizawa had done, and with each one it was something for them. Never for Aizawa himself.
"He really doesn't spend anything on himself." Mitsuki said, "For himself, I know he uses the bank account that his work checks go into, but I can't recall one time that he's pulled money out of his inheritance for himself."
"That's because he doesn't, love." Kazuto shot back. "I think the only other person he has used it on is sweet little Eri."
The two chuckled for a second before looking back at them, "I hope you enjoy the gala! We must get going. It was nice to meet all of the students my son adores." Mitsuki said before they were excusing themselves and moving on.
Endeavor stood there with a shocked look on his face, muttering, "It makes so much sense now."
"I think Aizawa broke my father." Todoroki stated.
They were all stunned at the revelation. Not one of them would have guessed that Aizawa was rich. He didn't act like someone who was. The more they thought about it, the more they realized just how much that he had covered for them. He was practically paying for their livelihoods. Even the families that could afford it no problem at all.
"He really does care about us." Ashido cried.
"I didn't see that coming." Bakugou mumbled, actually quiet for once. Then a look came to his face as he looked at his palms. "Every time I accidentally…"
Midoriya was also looking at his hands. "He paid for damages we caused."
"Woah, this is a trip." Kaminari muttered.
With it all, none of them had noticed that Midnight, All Might, and Mic had walked up. Mic was grumbling about losing Aizawa in the crowd, but a smile was on his face. "Why does he spend so much money on us?" Todoroki questioned, looking at Mic. If anyone had the answer, it would be him.
"Don't you get it?" Mic questioned. He received a bunch of head shakes in return. "Shouta doesn't care about money. He cares about the lives of those around him. To him, money is nothing. A life is priceless. If he can make life easier for you kids, he'll do it in a heartbeat." He smirked as he looked over his shoulder for a second and looked back at them. "Don't tell him I told you that."
"You two knew?!" Midoriya exclaimed, pointing at Midnight and All Might.
"I figured it out a long time ago." Midnight stated.
"It wasn't a hard guess after the Sponsor Gala." All Might added.
No one else could say anything as Aizawa appeared next to Mic, mumbling out, "I want to go home."
Mic chuckled, "You have to stay for the students."
Aizawa cast them a look, knowing full well that he was about to be bombarded with questions. He activated Erasure just as their mouths went to move and hissed out, "No questions. Just enjoy your time here. Go on. We're leaving in two hours."
"Yes, Aizawa-sensei!" They exclaimed, quickly clambering up and starting to head off.
Who would have known?
Shouta Aizawa was rich and managed to fool just about everyone.
Though, it left his class feeling extremely happy and grateful of their teacher. He really was like a second dad to all of them. Taking care of them and anything they needed without any of them actually knowing.
