Hot and dry air filled Cyra's burning lungs as she sprinted across the sand packed ground of the dune sea. The two suns began to set off to the west, casting an orange gold hue, as she approached a canyon. As she ran, she could hear the distant sound of a speeder bike rapidly approaching. Casting a quick glance over her shoulder, Cyra could make out the glint of the metallic armor that sat atop of the speeder bike. Out of breath, but determined, she entered the canyon and searched for cover. Seeing no apparent cover on the ground, Cyra continued through the ravine; the walls blocking out the remaining sunlight. Blinded by the dark, Cyra began to grow desperate.
Hearing the sounds of the speeder bike stop at the mouth of the canyon, Cyra pushed her tiring legs even harder. "Kriff!" Cyra muttered as she tripped over a sharp rock, sending her flying to the ground with a hard impact.
"You done running?" a deep annoyed voice sounded behind her.
Sharply turning to face the owner of the voice, she pulled her blaster from its holster. Stood before her, she could hardly make out the man in metallic armor in the darkness. Before Cyra had the chance to pull the trigger, the blaster was pulled from her grasp. In feeble attempt to flee, she shuffled back on her arms and legs, from the man as he stepped closer; only to be stopped short by a metal rope shooting around her torso.
"Let me go!" she shouted desperately, attempting to break free as the man began to pull the rope and her towards him. Once Cyra was right in front of him, she kicked with all her might at his midsection, which only caused him to stumble back a few feet, but loosened his hold on the rope that secured her.
Feeling the rope loosen from around her torso, she pulled her arms free and stood up. In the darkness she could see the man wore a metallic helmet that matched the rest of his armor. A Mandalorian. Upon this realization, Cyra knew she wasn't going to get out of this easily. "I won't go back." she stated matter-of-factly, a determined glint in her eyes.
With those words, the Mandalorian pulled out his blaster and aimed it at her. "You don't have a choice." then pulled the trigger.
