"It's finally over…"
Shizuku Osaka stumbled her way inside the front door of her home, somehow making it through her 9-5 workday on only five hours of sleep and 10 shots of espresso that was both a blessing and a curse. It may have kept her awake, but damn did it make her fatigued by the time her shift ended. With how exhausted she was by the end of it all, there was little likelihood she had any energy left within her to do some of her daily writing.
That didn't make the fanfic writer happy in the slightest. Her mind wanted to persevere and engage in the hobby she loved so dearly, but her body demanded she take some rest after exerting herself more than she needed to at work. For once, Shizuku's desires would concede to her needs.
Somehow managing to reach her room, the auburn-haired girl groaned loudly as she landed face first against the comfort of her mattress, not a care in the world she had yet to change out of her outdoor clothes. No blanket? No pillow? No need. Shizuku just wanted to rest, and the bed itself was more than enough.
As for her writing, she would just need to put in twice the amount of effort tomorrow. With no work the day after-hell, for the next four days, she had plenty of time to write to her heart's content. Unlike the writer's sanity, her fanfics could survive a day being unattended to.
Would this just be a simple nap that would last a few minutes, or would she find herself awake by the time the sun rose again? She didn't know, and she didn't care. It didn't matter.
All that mattered was that she could finally rest, and nothing, nobody, was going to tell her otherwise now.
There were no more places to travel, no people to talk with, no tasks to complete. For the first time in the 11 hours she was awake, which by all metrics was mentally longer than just 11 hours, Shizuku actually felt at peace with herself.
All there was left to do for the writer now, was to rest.
