Mikaelson Compound

Marcel and Rebekah's House

2:48 pm

Rebekah rolled over in the huge bed, saying, "Marcel, we better get up. The kids will be home from school soon."

The newlyweds had rarely had time alone, as they even brought their children, two nieces, and a nephew with them on their recent honeymoon to the Bahamas.

Marcel sighed, smiling, "I am just glad they are back in school. I like these afternoons. Just us and the triplets and a house full of staff."

Rebekah agreed, "Yes, it is nice. Jolie, that new nanny was smirking at me when I told her we were going to take a nap. I'm glad we made all these bedrooms soundproof. I'm sure even a human could have heard us that time."

Marcel laughed and ran his hand over her collarbone, chuckling, "I thought married folks didn't do it as much. I supposed we are the exception to that rule, huh?"

Marcel's fangs emerged and he fed from Rebekah's neck as she had earlier fed from his. The wounds of the vampires healed quickly, but the thrill sharing blood lasted longer. Marcel thought that he could taste the sun in Rebekah's powerful Original vampire blood. All the vampires in the world hailed from Rebekah and her family's blood.

"Yeah, don't jinx us. Wait, isn't Davina working after school today? I hate the fact that you insisted on that damn car," Rebekah complained, as she rose out of the bed, putting on a robe. "I guess she won't be home then."

"She's sixteen now, hon," Marcel said, getting up himself. "And she knows that if she isn't responsible, she loses the keys."

Rebekah turned back to watch her handsome husband dress. His brown skin was toned and his black hair was cropped close to his head. But it was always Marcel's warm brown eyes that made Rebekah weak with desire. She saw the love and caring he had for her in every glance.

"Well, I get that. I just wish you hadn't got her a damn Mustang," Rebekah scoffed hotly.

Davina, their adopted witch daughter, had just turned 16 when they got back from the honeymoon in the Bahamas on August 13th.

"Kol and Kai found it at that auction. It was a good deal and that is what she wanted...," Marcel drifted off as he pulled on pants. "It's safe and like I said, she knows she has to be responsible. Plus, we told D. that she had to contribute for her car insurance. I really think she is getting better with the customers..."

"Yeah, yeah, next it will be Tommy behind the wheel in a year or so," Rebekah said, going into the bathroom. "Then, the triplets in 16 years...I need a glass of wine. Just thinking about it makes me nervous."

Marcel pulled on a shirt. "I think some of the boys are putting in a shift at the Grill. Matt isn't happy as he was told he can't work until he brings up his grades. But the others should be working tonight as we were short staffed tonight. I'm going to go into town and check on things."

The Mikaelsons had purchased The Mystic Grill, as well as a nearby ice cream shop. Elijah was looking for businesses to bring in some legitimate cash flow into the family coffers.

"Okay," Rebekah called. She stared at herself in the bathroom mirror. Her pale skin and bright blue eyes reflected back at her. "Ugh, I miss my tan. Can we go back to the house in the Bahamas?"

"Nope," Marcel reminded her. "Elijah has it rented out."

"Of course he does," Rebekah muttered. "Tight as a drum, that one."

Marcel popped his head in the bathroom and watched her wash her face.

"That tan looked good on you, but you are beautiful just as you are," Marcel smiled. "Mrs. Gerald-Mikaelson."

Rebekah rolled her eyes, but was pleased. She had developed the habit of tanning in the Bahamas house. Davina and the twins had joined her until both Rachael and Dana got a terrible sunburn due to their pale complexions. Rebekah's skin healed in hours, but the girls' burn had lasted longer and evened into a tan for several days before their vampire skin healed. They were asking their moms for a tanning bed, but Keelin said it was silly and wouldn't hear anymore talk about it. Rebekah wanted one herself, but with the four month old triplets, she didn't have much time to lay about.

"Hey, bring home some rocky road, if you remember," Rebekah called as Marcel neared the door.

"Will do," Marcel said. He heard Tommy come in and went to greet his son downstairs. The 14 year old werewolf had been a little on edge lately. He was usually happy-go-lucky, but either hormones or his wolf genes were causing him to have mood swings.
"How was school, bud?" Marcel asked, as Tommy dumped his backpack and took off his shoes at the door.

"Fine," Tommy said. "Is Mom with the girls?"

"No, they are sleeping. She'll be done in a minute. Want to go into town with me? We can get a burger at the Grill," Marcel offered.

"Nah, I have a lot of homework," Tommy said, unhappily.

"Math again?" Marcel prompted.

"No, English. I have write some paper on mythology," Tommy grumbled.

Marcel tried to stay on top of Tommy's school work. As the boy had lost several years to the Crescent wolf curse in the Bayou of Louisiana, being a wolf most of the month, he had some gaps in his schooling that made it difficult for him to keep up.

"Okay, well, if you need help. I'll be home around 6pm," Marcel said, grabbing the teen and placing a kiss on the top of his head. "Love you."

"You, too," Tommy said, heading to the kitchen for a snack.

Mystic Falls Creamery

Main Street

Davina rolled her eyes as Tyson, the manager of the ice cream parlor, gave the group of rude children their fifth sample of ice cream. She suspected the kids had no money and were just trying to score some freebies.

"I think I will try the strawberry cheesecake this time," a pimple faced tween smirked.

"Sure," Tyson said, a big smile lighting up his face.

"Do you kids actually have any money?" Davina cut in.

"Yes," another girl spoke up. "We have ten dollars." The girl dug into her pocket and held up the money to show Davina.

"Lee, let's go somewhere else. We don't need to be accused of being mooches," the first tween growled. "Screw this."

The tweens tossed their sample spoons in the trash, one missing, and stomped out. The bell rang as they slammed the door shut.

Tyson huffed, "Davina, I told you, you need to stop getting smart with the customers. They are just kids. If they go and complain to their parents, we're going to get another angry call."

Davina scowled, "I know. But maybe we should have a limit on the, you know, free samples. It's just annoying how slow they are."

"You can bring that up with your dad," Tyson replied. "But for now, lay off the customers. You can work on clearing those tables. I am going to work on inventory. I'll send Lauren out to help you. And remember the customer is always right!"
"Yeah, yeah," Davina muttered. She went to get the rag and cleaning spray. She cleaned the glass case and the counter first. Then, she started to wipe the small tables and booths in the front. People were such pigs, especially the after school crowd. As Davina started to clean, she noticed the girls leaning against her car. She loved her black 2009 Ford Mustang GT Premium and she didn't want the girls' sticky fingers all over it.

Just as Davina was about to go out and yell, Lauren, Rachael's friend, joined her in the front.

"Hey, Tyson said we were supposed to clean up. Where you going?" Lauren asked. She was a heavy girl with thick glasses and dull, brown hair.

"You need new glasses, Lauren. I am not going anywhere," Davina snarled. She glanced outside at the annoying kids and had an idea. She uttered a quick spell and shot a slight electrical current through her car, shocking the tweens. They shrieked and ran off into the sidewalk.

Lauren heard the yells and stepped closer to the window to look.
"That was weird," Lauren commented. "Crap, there's a big group coming. Better put on your apron."
Davina sighed as she put on the rest of her uniform and washed her hands. She was glad the shop was doing well, but it wasn't fun working with Lauren as it was with the twins. Tyson stopped scheduling them together after the twins and Davina got into an argument about music on their last shift. Now, only one family member could work at a time.

"Hi, welcome to the Creamery, may I take your order?" Lauren asked a teen boy in the next group.

"Ummm, can I have a sample of chocolate chip?" the boy asked, pressing his hands against the glass she had just cleaned.

Davina sighed and went to help Lauren behind the counter, though she had only been working twenty minutes, she was already irritated.

Mystic Grill

Matt eyed Erik as he worked diligently to bus all the tables. That was Matt's old job and he had been good at it.
"Erik, don't forget to straighten up the condiments," Matt offered. "And that ketchup needs refilled."

"You wanna do it?" Erik snapped. "Dude, you are worse than Uncle Elijah with the nagging!"

"Fuck you, man," Matt responded. "I'm just trying to help."

Erik sighed, "Okay, thanks. Now let me do my job."

"Grab me another Coke?" Matt asked, pushing his half empty glass towards his brother.

"Matt, I'm not your waiter," Erik said. "I'm not supposed to do stuff like that. Stop trying to mess me up."
Erik pushed back his shoulder length blond hair and glared at Matt.

Matt frowned, "Fine. Can you get my waiter, please?"

Erik just picked up his cleaning bin and went to work on another table.

"Dick," Matt muttered. "I'll get it myself."

Matt was irritated that his parents wouldn't let him have his old job back during school. He had worked the Grill in August, but as soon as school started, they had dropped his hours so he could "concentrate" on his studies. Tyler, Erik, and Kai were allowed to continue their shifts.

Matt had offered to drive Erik and stayed to work on his homework. He couldn't focus and just ended up picking on Erik.

Matt heaved himself out of the booth and went to the back to refill his soda.

Sharma, the manager saw him, in a thick Indian accent he said, "Matty, you know you are not allowed back here when you are off the clock."

"Really, Shar? Erik wouldn't get me a drink. What am I supposed to do?" Matt complained.

"I will refill it for you," Sharma said politely. "I see you are not doing much work out there. Do you need help with your math again?"

Sharma had been some kind of professor in Jaipur, but Matt didn't feel like working more.

"No, thanks," Matt said. "I just need to relax a little."

"Ah, yes, relax," Sharma laughed. "I have heard of that, but I do not know what it really means."

The Indian man's dark eyes sparkled with laughter.

Matt realized he was joking. He asked, "I hate school. I would rather work here. I mean, half the stuff we learn is pointless."

Sharma led Matt out of the kitchen and back to his booth.

"Matthew, education is never a waste. You do your studies now," Sharma encouraged.

"Why, man? Look at you, you went to college and are now working at this place," Matt argued.
"I am waiting until my paperwork is approved. For now, I can help my family and take more classes. It is not such a bad deal. Oh, there is your uncle," Sharma said, turning his head towards Marcel.

Matt corrected, "He's also kind of my brother. But thanks, Shar. I get what you are saying."

Matt sat back and opened his book. Marcel patted Sharma on the back and asked about business. Then, he sat down with Matt.

"How's Erik doing? Seems like he's working hard," Marcel noted, thanking the waitress as she brought him a bottle of water.

"He's okay. Kind of touchy today," Matt shared. "I wish Dad and Cami would just let me work here. It's so stupid that I'm not allowed to do what I want. Then, I have to deal with Erik's shitty attitude on top of things!"

"That seems to be going around. I thought you were doing homework. You applying yourself. You know if you want to be a police officer...," Marcel started, looking around to gage the number of customers. He was pleased to see other high school students streaming in.

Matt snapped his textbook shut and almost knocking over his now full drink.

"I cannot take one more lecture!" Matt fired back. "Can you drive Erik home? Or maybe Davina can? I need to study."

"Yeah, sure," Marcel said, startled. "I didn't mean anything."
Matt ignored him and walked hastily out to the truck.

Marcel spoke to Erik and told him that he'd be back after he checked out the ice cream parlor.

Mystic Falls Creamery

Davina dealt with the third group of obnoxious kids and thought her head was going to explode. These boys were especially wild. She didn't recognize them from school. They were flicking globs of milkshake at each other with their straws and giggling wildly, making another mess. One that she or Lauren would have to deal with. She crossed her arms over the red and white striped outfits that she had picked out. At the time, she thought they were cute, now she just found them embarrassing.

"Hey, worker chick, can we have some more napkins?" A cute boy, about her age, asked.

"Sure," Lauren replied meekly.

"Not you, her," Another boy said, looking at Davina.

Davina snapped out of her stupor to roar, "You wouldn't need them if you weren't making such a mess. What are you guys, five?"

The boys snickered and laughed, but the blond went on, "Come on, pretty please? Maybe you could sit with us?"
"I would rather sit on nails," Davina snarked. "Get the napkins yourself. They are right over there."

Lauren went to get the napkins, but Davina stopped her. "No, Lauren. We aren't their personal servants."

"But we are customers," the blond boy sneered, looking at Davina hungrily from head to toe.

Davina's eyes widened and she told Lauren to go get more napkins from the back. She whispered a spell and all the dirty napkins on the boys' table burst into flames. The table heated, cracking their glass milk shakes and causing the boys to jump out of their seats.

"What the hell?" another boy yelled in fear. "Shit is on fire. Let's scram."

Davina's eyes blazed, "You better run!" She took a step back as some of the paper menus also ignited. The smoke rose and soon the sprinklers were whirling and water poured from the ceiling.

Tyson and Lauren ran out.

Tyson boomed, "What the hell happened?"

The boys had run out, one leaving his backpack, which now hissed as the flames that touched it winked out, drenched in water.

"I, ah, um," Davina stumbled. Then, her dad walked in, almost getting knocked over by the fleeing boys.

"D., what did you do now?" Marcel said, waving the smoke away from his eyes.

"Daddy! I can't explain. They were major jerks," Davina whined. She looked at wide eyed Lauren and a furious Tyson and then burst out in tears.

Mikaelson Mansion

Kol and Georgie were having the guest house renovated. They were turning the attic into a sound studio for the boys and updating the bathrooms. Unbeknown to their sons, they were also adding a private room for themselves in a new basement area. Next to that, they were creating a safe room and a connection to the underground tunnels for safety. But until the construction was done, they were staying at the main house.

Kol had been playing with Rosie, Joey, and the dog Sadie in the backyard. He came up to get a shower and found Kai.

"Kai, what are you doing wearing my drawers?" The rakishly handsome Original vampire said dangerously. Kol was close to his brother Klaus' sons, Tyler, Connor, Jeremy, Erik, and Matt. But he was especially close to Kai, his sister Freya's son, who was a witch, like he used to be before being turning into a vampire a thousand years ago. But, like Kol, Kai had a chip on his shoulder that often got him in trouble.

"Uncle Kol?" Kai squeaked in shock. "I thought you were outside..."

"Aye, I was, but now I am here. And I will repeat myself, why are you wearing my new drawers?" Kol demanded.

Kai was standing in front of the full length mirror in Kol's new silk black and red boxers. They had been a gift from Georgie, Kol's soon-to-be wife.

"Um, I can explain," Kai stated, gulping. Since Kol had moved into the guest house, the boys had used his room when they wanted some privacy or even to hang out. But Kol, only being back a week or so, had made it clear that they had plenty of their own space and they were to now stay away unless they had permission to come in.

Kol sat on his and Georgie's bed and smirked, "Aye, I am waiting, lad. I am really looking forward to hearing this one. Go on."

Kai swallowed and ran a nervous hand through his short, dark hair.

"So, you know, that, um, I kinda have a thing for Bonnie," Kai stammered.

"Bonnie, aye, the lovely Bennet witch whom Jeremy still pines over," Kol coaxed. "Very classy."
"They broke up, Uncle Kol!" Kai exploded. "She said they are just friends."

"Oh, that is why he overnights there on the weekends? To spend time with his friend," Kol said, unable to resist being sarcastic.

"Um, he wants to hang out with his sister and help out his aunt," Kai defended. "He said they are paying him to babysit."

Ric and Jenna were still at the Salvatore Boarding house. They were raising their twins, niece Elena, and looking after Bonnie as her father traveled extensively for business. Stefan, his brother Damon, and Damon's old friend, Enzo also lived there. Since Damon and Enzo were de-aged back to human children, the Saltzmans looked after them also.

Kol hid a smile, saying, "Of course, so what does this have to do with the boxers my wife bought me? Hurry up now. I need to shower. Rosie had me digging in the sandbox with her. I feel filthy."

Kai groaned in frustration. "It's just that I asked Bonnie out. Finally. There is a dance coming up. You know, the decade dance. It's the 80s and you know about how Uncle Elijah is with the proper underwear shit! I don't want to look like a moron if, you know, I get lucky."

Kol burst out laughing at the 17 year old's warped perspective.

Kai frowned and clenched his fists. The teen was not only a siphon witch, but a vampire. Like others in the house, his emotions ran hot. His face reddened and Kol cleared his throat. Kol got up and went to Kai, putting his arms on the teen's well-built shoulders. Kai shook him off, but Kol was stronger.
"I am sorry I laughed," Kol said, getting serious. "I get that my brother makes you lot wear those frumpy briefs. He is strict like that and likes everything done a certain way. But do you really think Bonnie is going to bed you like that?"

Kai flushed, "I guess not."

Kol's heightened senses noted that a flash of guilt passed Kai's face.

"Young man, what are you really up to?" Kol prodded.

"Nothing," Kai snapped, lying.

"Take off my drawers. Put them in the hamper," Kol said. He headed for the bedside table where Kai knew from experience, there was a ping pong paddle kept handy. His Uncle Kol had swatted the younger boys with it a few days earlier when they had snuck into the older boys room at night to play a prank.

"Wait! I'll tell you," Kai exclaimed. "Just don't tell my moms!"

"Let me guess, you are cooking up some naughty bit of magic," Kol sighed.

Kai colored, figuring he could not lie to Kol, confessing, "I don't know if it is really magic, but Sharma, the manager of The Grill, told me about it. It's called Crocus sativus. I've been growing it in the greenhouse and it's almost ready. I was going to slip some in Bonnie's drink at the dance. He said guys in India use it all the time. Totally safe."

Kol grinned, "Lad, it's bloody saffron. Maybe it is an aphrodisiac, but it's in a ton of Indian food. I think Elijah even puts some in his risottos. It's tasty, but I don't think it will have Bonnie tearing off your trousers."

"Oh, so I did all that work for nothing," Kai said as he stripped out of the boxers and tossed them in the hamper. He glanced as his chiseled muscles in the mirror. Kai had been hoping the beautiful witch would indeed tear off his pants. Now, he was doubting his whole plan.

"Nay, you are going to learn a valuable lesson here," Kol said dryly. "Did it occur to you that any kind of love magic can go dark? Let us say this ruse worked, does Bonnie not get a say in it? You might as well compel her."

Kai snapped, "Well, that's impossible since she is a witch and all."

Kol exhaled loudly, "Boy, your sass reminds me of me. And in this case, it is not a good thing. My point is that if you really like and respect her, you would not even consider this. Taking consent away from someone is the darkest form of magic, even when it is not magic, per say."

Kai's eyes met Kol's in the mirror. He conceded, "Damn, I didn't think of it like that. Sorry, Uncle Kol. It's just that I am worried that she and Jer do still have feelings for one another."

Kol nodded, "Have you talked to Jeremy about this?"

Kai flexed his biceps in the mirror and replied, "Not really. I mean, he knows how I feel. But I didn't tell him about the dance...I didn't think she would say yes."

Kai turned to admire his taut backside in the mirror. He didn't mind being nude in front of his uncle or the other guys. They had a group shower and he didn't think much of it.

"Talk to him," Kol urged. "I saw Nik and Elijah almost tear each other apart because of the first doppelgänger in our lives, Tatia. She was Elena's ancestor, I wager. This was when we were human, way before Katerina Petrova...They both loved that widow with dark hair and those big brown eyes. Just try, Kai. Please."

"Okay, I will give it a shot," Kai promised. "Thanks for the talk. I'll, um, get out of your way."
But before Kai could put on his own briefs, Kol vamped to him and dragged him to the bed.

"Not so fast," Kol said lightly. "I think you need a spanking first. You know you aren't to traipse in here and search through my things."

Kai's eyes widened, he gulped as Kol put him easily over his lap and started to spank his bare behind. Kai knew he was strong, but his uncle was ten times stronger. He felt Kol arrange him and then he felt a breeze graze his now trembling bottom.

Crack! Crack!

"Ohhhh," Kai exclaimed. "I said sorry!"

Crack! Crack!

Kol was swatting lightly, but using his wrist to create a mild sting.

"Stop fussing or I'll march you down to tell your mums this sordid tale," Kol warned. "I don't know which one would be more angry with you. Probably my sister...but I am sure Keelin has a harder hand."

Crack! Crack!

"Ouch. Don't be so sure," Kai whimpered. In truth, his moms were both reasonable and always were big on "discussing" things with their kids. But they also weren't afraid to ground him and his siblings when they stepped out of line. But he really didn't want to have to explain this thing with Bonnie to them.

Kai tried to wiggle off Kol's lap. Kol clamped his left arm down around Kai's hips firmly, pinning him in place.

"You're not going anywhere, until I am sure, you get my point," Kol lectured. "Magic is not for mischief. And Bonnie is a person, not a play thing. She is also in your coven. That should mean something."

Crack! Crack!

"It d-does!" Kai tried. "Oh, stopppp. Damn..."

Kai's bottom was warming fast and he couldn't help but struggle.

"Fuck! Uncle Kol, please, don't!" Kai begged."God damn it. I said s-stop...I didn't do anything yet!" He was worried Georgie would walk in and see him getting spanked. The pretty vampire would probably laugh and watch the whole thing. She might even give him a few smacks herself.

"Fine. I have my bat handy," Kol said, reaching over with his right hand to grab the ping pong paddle.

Kai turned his head and saw himself over his uncle's lap in the mirror. He admired his tight body a second before the paddle swatted down on his tender sit spots.

"Ahhhh, I hate that thing," Kai whined. It was then he realized that he better change his attitude or he'd really get it.

Pop! Pop!

"OWWWWW," Kol yelped. Of course, the damn paddle was coated with vervain and wolfsbane. If not, his vampire healing would make the spanking almost pointless.

Pop! Pop!

"If you and Jeremy do not show Bonnie Bennet the proper respect, I will spank you both right in front of her," Kol threatened. "Right over my knee like the naughty boys you are behaving like."

Pop! Pop!

Kai kicked and squirmed as he got a series of sturdy whacks on each cheek.

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

"Ohhhhhh, we w-will r-respect h-her," Kai belted out as he tried to cross his feet and take the rest of the spanking. He turned and saw how silly he looked getting paddled in the mirror. The thought of Bonnie seeing this made tears spring to his eyes.

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

"Yes, you will, lad," Kol determined, finishing up with several good cracks right on the center of Kai's, now red, rump.

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

Suddenly, Kol tossed the paddle aside and stood Kai up.

"I mean it," Kol warned. "You two work this out. If Bonnie does not like you two like that, that is her business. Now, put your briefs on before Georgie comes up. She gave Aaron a walloping for sassing her yesterday. She won't hesitate to do the same to you for misbehaving. I hope you didn't dig through her panty drawer!"

Kai hopped on both feet as he rubbed his sore behind.
"Oh, she's really gonna fit into this family all right," Kai sniffed. He hadn't been crying, but his eyes were a bit watery.

"Funny how that happens," Kol agreed, watching in amusement as his nephew wiggled his backside in the mirror. Kol rolled his eyes and picked up the round paddle again. He gave Kai two more swats on his stinging bottom to move the boy along.

Swat! Swat!

"I said get your briefs on," Kol warned. "Aye, you have a nice body. But Bonnie is not just going to fall for a pretty face and cut abs. Got it?"

Kai stumbled over and gingerly edged up his tight briefs, already thinking.

"Yeah, I bet if I could teach her a cool spell...," Kai started. His rear end was tingling and already healing a bit.

"Speak to your cousin," Kol reminded him. "And I'll get you a pair of boxers for the dance. Just don't tell Elijah or I'll be getting a drubbing next."

Kol laughed as Kai winced as he adjusted his briefs. He then pulled the teen into a bear hug.
"I love you, lad," Kol said with emotion. "Now, off with you. And be better than me. Shouldn't be hard!"

Kai smiled, "Not true. Love you, too. Thanks, Uncle Kol!"

"Sure, lad," Kol said. "But just out of curiosity, I will take a bit of that saffron. It's costly, too. Just so you aren't, you know, ah, tempted to use it."

Kai now looked suspicious, but agreed, "Sure. I bet an old guy like you could help some help!"

Kai grinned cheekily and vamped out before Kol could chase him.

Kol stripped down before his shower and found himself flexing in the mirror. He wondered what other secrets this Sharma knew. Maybe he would pay him a visit at The Grill.

Couldn't hurt, anyway, Kol thought. He got in the shower finally and washed away the sand.
