On Today's Episode: The spies of past and future begin their trek up the abandoned radio tower, hopeful to find James and Boogie Gus so they can expedite the baddies' return to the present day. But things get much more complicated when an old foe of the spies also shows up, and like many of their rogues' gallery, this villain is looking for a taste of revengeance. Can the spies deal with this now-trio of villainy?

Act 2: Future Unknown

5:05 P.M. – Future Beverly Hills

Central City Radio Tower

"Does anyone see anything out of the ordinary?" Sam asked as the team continued to explore each floor of the radio tower for any sign of James or Boogie Gus.

"Nope, nothing up here, either," Melissa replied as she pushed another large storage crate aside.

"Man, it's like they're deliberately staying ahead of us," Nick growled, noting that each time the spies had reached a new floor, he sensed the thoughts of James and Boogie Gus further up.

"Then keep your guard up, because I'm pretty sure that this means they're trying to lure us into a trap," Future Britney proclaimed.

"Well, this floor's a bust, too," Clover stated.

"Hey, we'll catch up to them soon, I'm sure of it," Klee responded, holding her hand up and projecting some of her psychic power in the form of an aquatic-blue bubble of light around her hand to light up the otherwise pitch-dark room.

With nothing left to find on this floor, the spies all moved up to the fifth floor via the nearby stairwell.

Nick did a quick psychic radar scan of the area, and found that James and Boogie Gus were still on this new floor.

"I found 'em!" Klee shouted, aiming her psychic beacon towards the area just ahead, where, indeed, James and Boogie Gus were waiting for them.

"Oh, what, did you get tired of running from us?" Sam taunted.

"Hardly, my little flaky sugar cube," Boogie Gus laughed.

"...I'm not even going to dignify that with a response," Nozomi groaned.

"Now, you're going to be my woman, Sam, whether you like it or not," James proclaimed. "I made sure of it this time."

"Oh, and how is that?" Alex shot back.

Just then, Klee sensed a new set of thoughts in the room with them. Without thinking, she raised her hand to project a psychic bubble around the spies. It turned out that she'd done so just in time to protect them from the rain of dark energy bolts that fell from the sky.

"Okay, who's the wise guy now?!" Clover exclaimed.

Alex looked up towards where the blasts had come from, and her expression changed to a frustrated one.

"So, hey, remember earlier when I said I was glad mister dark magic guy was out of our hair?" Alex groaned.

"Wait, you don't think..." Klee gasped when she put the pieces together.

"I wish I could say otherwise, Klee," Alex replied. "Guess who's back?!"

A flare of dark magic erupted behind James and Boogie Gus, and when it dissipated, it revealed an elderly-looking man with sinister-looking yellow eyes, wearing a mutli-colored robe, and his hands glowing with an eerie dark purple light.

"CORVUS?!" everyone shouted.

"Well, well, it's nice to see that you all still remember me after so long," Corvus chuckled. This man was a practitioner of dark magic who had thrown both Klee and Kana backwards in time, wiping Klee's memories in the process, so they couldn't interfere with his plans to turn the entirety of Future Beverly Hills into a cult that served his whims. Though Corvus had supposedly lost his dark powers after losing to the spies previously, his hands were glowing with that telltale darkness.

"Well, you're someone we wanted to forget," Clover stated.

"How in the heck do you have your powers again, Corvus?!" Klee exclaimed.

"I have your little witch friend to thank for that," Corvus chuckled. That's when the spies remembered that during their first crusade against Eitri, the Witch of Ages, she had plucked Corvus from a point in time where he still had his powers to stand in the spies' way. "Thanks to her, I was able to keep my powers despite still losing to you. I simply bided my time until I felt it was the right time to exact my revenge. And given these two seem to have a rather nasty grudge against you as well, it seemed like this was inevitable."

"Yeah, well, the only thing that's inevitable is us kicking your robed keester back into confinement, Corvus!" Nick shouted, his psychic aura flaring to life around him.

Klee let her own psychic aura burst to life as well, now very glad that Kana was back at W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters with some of the other spies.

"You made a big mistake in breaking out, Corvus," Klee proclaimed. "And it looks like I'm gonna have to be the one to give you your due punishment!"

"Try me, you simpleton," Corvus sneered.

"You shouldn't egg her on, pal!" Future Britney proclaimed.

Future May summoned her anchor to help Klee out.

"If there's one thing Klee's good at..." Future Bridget remarked. "It's allowing others to help her win."

"Sounds a lot like Nick," Alex giggled.

"Absolutely," Nick freely replied.

"Obviously, the fourteen of us will do," Future Haruka quipped.

Sam drew first blood with Corvus by firing a Laser Lipstick at him. Alex was next with her own Laser Lipstick; Klee added more oomph to the punch with her own psychic powers.

"Watch and be amazed, papa," Klee replied as she flew forward to start attacking Corvus.

"Do you really think the same old tricks will work?" Corvus laughed as he projected a bubble of darkness around himself.

"Maybe not, but here's a new trick I'm sure you haven't seen yet," Klee responded, pressing her glowing palms together.

As the aquatic-blue glow surrounding her hands began to get brighter, Klee wrenched her hands apart, creating a sphere of psychic energy between her palms. A second later, Klee tossed the sphere of energy into the air, where it bloomed into a four-leaf clover shape, then split apart into multiple smaller four-leaf clovers that surrounded Corvus and began firing psychic bolts rapid-fire, eventually shattering the dark bubble and allowing Klee to floor Corvus with a Final Shine Attack.

Nick took to the air himself, firing off a flurry of psychic bolts to keep Corvus down so the others could focus on James and Boogie Gus.

"I think we got Corvus, guys," Clover proclaimed.

"There's no way you can outsmart Sonic Mode," Future Bridget quipped.

Klee fired up a Final Shine Attack to go after Corvus.

"You shouldn't have broken out, pal," Klee emphasized to Corvus. "Because you know how it's going to go down!"

Klee fired another Final Shine Attack that knocked Corvus flat on his stomach, allowing Klee and Future May to look down on him.

"Damn it!" Corvus swore.

The spies started approaching Corvus as he got up.

Klee fired a Final Shine Attack at Corvus, but he reacted and dodged it.

"I'm declaring this a draw," Corvus sneered as he up and disappeared.

"We really got to do something about that..." Melissa groaned.

"I know," Dawn groaned as well.

"I wonder how May, Bridget, and Haruka will act to finding out we got put on a mission while they're away..." Mat remarked.

"Well, I wouldn't necessarily say the shoe's fully on the other foot in this case," Britney deduced.

"My thoughts exactly," Nick replied in agreement. "Besides, May and I had to go by ourselves, or Jam wouldn't have approved."

"True that," Blaine remarked.

Nick simultaneously noticed that James and Boogie Gus had made a break for who-knows-where, but they had not gotten far after Corvus had retreated, thank to using his psychic radar.

"Oh, no you don't..." Nick quipped.

Clover jumped in first and demonstrated she still had the cowgirl side of her by using her Expandable Cable Bungee Belt to grab Boogie Gus.

"Damn you, crazy woman!" Boogie Gus complained.

However, that good feeling was short-lived because James had somehow disappeared... or did he?

"Where'd James go?!" Britney wondered.

Clover then got knocked over; it turned out James still had some of the invisibility formula on his person and had used some.

"Now you're MINE, Sam!" the invisible James proclaimed as he made a beeline for Sam.

Thankfully, Nick was able to snatch James in his psychic hold and toss him into a nearby wall.

"Did you forget something, James?" Nick taunted. "Remember, your invisibility goop may make you unseeable, but I can still read your thoughts. Study up on rule ninety-one next time!"

Nick continued to toss James around while Klee flew around to avoid shots from Boogie Gus.

"Stand still, you little munchkin!" Boogie Gus shouted as he continued to fire his 80fier at Klee to no effect.

"Um, excuse me, I'm actually eighteen now, thank you very much," Klee retorted before diving downwards to send Boogie Gus rolling away with a psychic pulse. "It's like I didn't brick this into your skull the last few times. Honestly, when are you gonna learn?"

Both Sam and Mat waited for James' invisibility serum to wear off before blasting him into a nearby wall with Cyclone Blast Hairdryers, though this didn't keep him down for long, as he quickly jumped back up and leaped forward to pin Mat to the ground.

"You're going to see my way of thinking soon enough, you little shit!" James proclaimed. "Sam is my woman, and nothing you can say will change that fact! Now I'd suggest you renounce your engagement with this harlot before you lose one of your limbs."

Suddenly, James found himself stumbling backwards as Melissa ran in and whacked him in the face with a spinning kick.

"Maybe snap the pieces of your brain back into place before you start saying things like that, mister," Melissa responded before doubling back to help Mat to his feet. "You okay, Mat?"

"He doesn't faze me," Mat proclaimed as he kissed Melissa on the cheek. "But thanks for the assist."

"Wanna mess him up together?" Melissa asked.

"Oh, you know it," Mat chuckled as he and Melissa prepared themselves.

Naturally, James took the bait and charged towards them, fully intent on hurting Mat in any way possible. Mat and Melissa joined hands and then used their connected hands to punch James in the face, sending him reeling backwards.

"Hey, Nick, I see our opportunity!" Future Bridget exclaimed. "Sonic Mode, online!"

Future Nick immediately got the message as he extended his hand so that Future Bridget could take it, the two of them dashing towards James.

"I see it, too, Bridget!" Future Nick exclaimed. "Let's give this sexist scumbag a taste of the Purple Comet Attack!"

James just barely recovered from the earlier face punch just in time for Future Nick and Future Bridget to bum-rush him, using their boosted speed to send James into the air with their joined arms, causing James to fly into the air flipping.

Future Nick and Future Bridget let go of each other so they could go on the offensive, Future Nick landing a lifting flying kick to send James higher into the air, while Future Bridget leapfrogged off of Future Nick's shoulders and snap-kicked James back down to the ground.

Before James could even bounce, Future Nick and Future Bridget were on him again, lashing out to hit him with multiple super-fast strikes before sending James back into the air with dual flying kicks.

"Ready, Nick?" Future Bridget exclaimed.

"Let's stomp 'em!" Future Nick shouted.

With that, Future Nick and Future Bridget charged, attacking James nonstop from multiple angles, making it look like James was being pinballed around in the air.

For the finale, Future Nick and Future Bridget both attacked James in perfect sync, resembling a much faster version of Nick and Haruka's Accel Dance maneuver, before charging through James and sending him careening into Boogie Gus, sending both villains crashing to the ground.

"Still haven't lost that touch," Future Bridget giggled as she high-fived Future Nick.

"Damn it all, mister jumpy, this ain't workin'!" Boogie Gus groaned. "We need to boogie on outta here and think of somethin' else!"

"This won't be the end of our time here, ladies," James taunted. "Make no mistake, Sam, you will be mine before I drag you back to the present day."

James threw down a trio of smoke bombs to cover their escape.

"Ugh, it's like he gets worse and worse with every time we have to deal with him," Britney quipped.

"Hey, as long as we're here, he's not gonna be messing with anybody," Future Nick proclaimed.

"I'm more concerned with Corvus, believe it or not," Klee stated. "What exactly is his angle? He can't be teaming up with them just for the funsies."

"He's probably just using this as an excuse to take his revenge on us," Future Nick replied.

"How goes the mission, everyone?" Future RiCO asked from Sam's X-Powder.

"We got the dastardly duo to flee the tower, but we have another problem," Nick explained. "Corvus is on the loose again."

"Wait, really? I thought he lost his dark magic after you sent him packing!" Future RiCO gasped.

"Apparently, Eitri restored his powers when she 'recruited' him the first time we faced her," Melissa replied. "I guess they didn't go away when we fixed everything."

"Well, you won't have to look far, because I just detected all three of them heading towards The Groove!" Future RiCO exclaimed.

"Even twenty-one years in the future, they still go after The Groove," Clover groaned. "I should have figured."

"Well, then let's get our butts over there and take care of business, shall we?" Klee proclaimed.

"No need to say it twice," Alex quipped.

"I can get us there in no time," Future Bridget told everyone.

The sixteen spies (with Future Britney coming along with Future May, Future Bridget, Future Haruka and Future Nick) all got together after Nick created a psychic bubble. Before long, Future Bridget kicked up the speed and made a break for The Groove.

"Seems like our rogues' gallery in the future is just as predictable as our own rogues' gallery," Clover commented.

"I'll second that," Mat replied.

"Here we go, everyone," Future Bridget stated. "Sonic Mode, online!"

With that, Future Bridget kicked up the turbo and everyone got to The Groove.

5:59 P.M. – The Groove

"Here we are," Sam quipped.

"You wouldn't believe how common this has been to us," Future May replied.

"I would imagine they always retreated to The Groove," Blaine commented.

"Maybe eight times out of ten they retreated to The Groove," Future Haruka told them.

"That's pretty common," Alex groaned.

Nick used his psychic radar to pinpoint where specifically in The Groove James, Boogie Gus, and perhaps even Corvus got to.

"Anything, Nick?" Melissa wondered.

"Not yet," Nick replied. "But I know they're close by."

"Well, the sooner we find them, the better," Clover replied.

"I have a lock on them," Nick told everyone.

"Where?" Dawn wondered.

"The food court," Nick answered.

They had to fight through a crowd of screaming people running towards them after some havoc had started.

"I don't need three guesses to figure out what they're running from," Klee replied.

The spies made their way to find Corvus wreaking havoc on the people at The Groove right away. Boogie Gus and James were also in the spirit, too.

"Good thing our future selves are back home," Alex commented.

"I'll second that," Britney replied.

"What's the plan, guys?" Melissa wondered.

"Oh, that's simple," James laughed as he came barreling towards the spies. "You can all just lay down and accept your fate!"

Before James could reach any of the spies, however, Nick raised his hand so that James slammed head-long into a psychic barrier instead.

"Okay, that's getting really old at this point, so how about you workshop some new lines before you keep firing off that amateur crap?" Nick taunted.

"How about you try this on for size, then, ya crazy cracker?!" Boogie Gus laughed as he fired off a much larger 80fier blast from his weapon that the spies all had to dodge. "New and improved, wouldn't ya say?"

"Yeah, I wouldn't go that far," Klee laughed as she took to the sky and started rapid-firing psychic bolts at Boogie Gus, only to be blasted out of the sky thanks to a dark energy javelin courtesy of Corvus.

Thankfully, Klee landed on her feet before turning to face Corvus. "That was low, even for you," Klee growled.

"Oh, you flatter me, little lady," Corvus taunted.

"Excuse me, but I'm eighteen, thank you very much!" Klee shot back, charging forward and weaving through dark bolts to actually headbutt Corvus in the chest, knocking the wind out of him.

"OOF," Future Nick quipped. "I felt that one."

While Corvus was dazed, Klee hopped back and raised her glowing right hand, drawing a circle of light in front of her, before using her left hand to draw a star shape inside of the circle. The magic circle began to glow brightly as Klee raised her right hand again.

"Chew on this, you has-been," Klee proclaimed. "Meteor Starfall!"

Klee thrust her right hand through the magic circle, and it began firing off hundreds of star-shaped psychic bolts into Corvus before finishing off with a bright explosion of blue light that sent Corvus tumbling backwards.

While all of this was happening, James was tussling with Sam and Mat.

"You know what you have to do to make all of this madness stop, my dear Sam," James cackled, only to find himself spinning through the air courtesy of Sam whacking him in the head with a right cross kick.

"And you should know that's never going to happen, you sick bastard," Sam shot back. "I'm engaged to the love of my life, and we're going to get married in the future, as you can clearly see. And, news flash? THAT ISN'T YOU, YOU SICK FREAK!"

"It could be, if I apply a little 'pressure'," James laughed.

"God, does everything I say to you just go in one ear and out the other?!" Sam shouted.

"Don't worry about it, Sam," Mat replied. "He's clearly beyond reason by this point, so let's just take him down so we can get back to our lives."

Sam and Mat reached out to hold hands, clearly taking great delight in the fact that it annoyed James so badly.

"YOU ARE MINE, SAM!" James bellowed as he bum-rushed them. "NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, YOU ARE GOING TO BE MINE, AND THAT IS FINAL!"

Before James could get close enough, Corvus crashed into him, courtesy of getting blasted by Nick, Future Nick, and Klee with a three-way Final Shine Attack.

"Oh, just shut your yap for once in your life, buddy," Nick quipped.

Eventually, Boogie Gus also crashed into the villain pile, courtesy of both Alex and Nozomi tag-teaming him.

"Now are you going to give up and make it easy for us, just once?" Nozomi proclaimed.

"You wish, little go-gurt girl," Boogie Gus chuckled.

"We have better things to be doing right now, honestly," James proclaimed.

"So, for now, we shall bid you all adieu," Corvus stated before raising his hands, surrounding all three villains with a tornado of darkness.

When the dark tornado dissipated, all three villains had vanished completely.

"I'd really like that to work, even if just once," Nozomi sighed.

"Given how stubborn most of our rogues' gallery tends to be, I wouldn't count my chickens for that happening anytime soon," Mat quipped.

"On that note, I really was hoping we'd never have to hear from Corvus again," Future Nick proclaimed. "It was bad enough being mind-controlled by his wrinkly old face, but I shudder to think what he's got cooked up this time around."

"Hey, how about we head back to the beach house to see how future us is doing?" Alex asked. "Considering we now have a third ne'er-do-well out there..."

"Good idea, Alex," Future Britney replied.

6:45 P.M. – The Future Beach House

"Yikes, and now Corvus is back, too?" Future Mat quipped once the spies explained what had been happening.

"If I wasn't on maternity leave, I'd smack that poser silly for what he tried to make me do the last time," Future Clover responded.

"We just figured we'd give you the update, just in case they try anything," Sam stated.

Suddenly, a large explosion rocked the surrounding area.

"Holy crapbaskets, are we under attack?!" Future Alex gasped.

Nick jogged over to the nearby window and noticed the residue of a dark magic explosion on the horizon. When he realized where it had come from, though, he clenched his fists in anger.

"Where'd that come from, Nick?" Melissa asked.

"You're probably not gonna like this, but that explosion came from W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters!" Nick exclaimed. "We'd better motor on over there!"

"Yeah, make with all the haste!" Dawn shouted.

"Not good news," Mat replied.

"What about Future Me and Future Sam?" Alex wondered.

"Apparently, Alex got close a time or two," Future Nick told Alex. "But I think the news about Corvus on the loose left the baby too scared to come out."

"Same goes for Sammy," Future Mat replied, overhearing.

"They'll be fine, I hope," Sam commented.

"Believe me, Kana's been a big help," Future Mat added.

"You better hurry," Future Sam called out. "The next time could be it!"

"We'll do our best," Melissa quipped. "But let us know when it's happened."

"Believe us, we will!" Future Alex called out.

Future Nick and Future Mat nodded, but Future Nick was already on it with Future Bridget to prepare the spies to get to W.O.O.H.P. in record time. Future Blaine chose to come along, too, but Future Mat chose to stay behind since it was any time now...

In the meantime, Future Clover occasionally checked on Future Sam and Future Alex for their well-being.

"Sonic Mode, online!" Future Bridget proclaimed as she kicked it into high gear and they got to W.O.O.H.P.

"Something's telling me that once we get these three where they belong, the inevitable will happen," Clover told everyone.

"That seems like a safe bet," Blaine replied.

7:21 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters

"Oh, spies, thank goodness!" Future Sortiliena exclaimed.

"Yeah, we got the word that Corvus and James and Boogie Gus are in the vicinity," Britney replied.

"Future Nozomi's already on the stick and got everyone else here on the alert," Future Sortiliena told them.

"Good move on her part," Nozomi quipped.

"They're all in the east wing," Future Sortiliena added.

"Well, we better hurry," Dawn emphasized.

With that, the 19 spies high-tailed it to the east wing to stop them. It was then and there that the lights in W.O.O.H.P. all went out.

"Talk about old school," Clover scoffed.

"But still effective," Future Haruka added.

"No worries, guys," Nick told them. "I got this..."

Sam and Alex even shared a nod over their future selves not far from giving birth.

"Let us at them first," Alex proclaimed.

Both Future Nick and Klee raised their hands and projected a psychic beacon around their hands to illuminate the otherwise pitch-black hallways.

"Where did you go, boys?" Klee taunted. "You know you can't possibly hide from us forever."

No answer came, but the spies did hear footsteps around them, but saw nothing.

"Either James is using his invisibility thing again, or..." Nozomi quipped.

Nick used his psychic radar to make sure of things before turning just to the southwest and firing off a Final Shine Attack that blasted a bubble of sorts, the bubble flickering away to reveal James and Boogie Gus, with Corvus behind them.

"Come on, can you seriously get a new act already?" Nick proclaimed. "You know you can't truly hide from a psychic."

"Oh, but we weren't really trying to hide, you crazy nut," Boogie Gus laughed. "We knew you'd come baying for our booties like the goody-goodies you are."

"And now, we have you right in our trap," James proclaimed. "So sorry that you couldn't make it in time to stop us."

"Um, buddy, I wouldn't declaring victory when we're all still standing," Future Haruka shot back. "Rules for villains, number ninety-three: don't declare your scheme as successful until you're sure the good guys are completely at your mercy."

"We're all still here and kicking, and we're going to send all three of you back to containment where you freakin' belong!" Future May shouted, activating her Emergency Gadget Transporter to summon her trusty anchor to her hands.

"Oh, wow, talk about old-school," Boogie Gus taunted. "Didn't pirates die out ages ago?"

"Hey, a true Jellyfish Pirates classic never goes out of style," Future May giggled.

"And we might know a certain other-dimensional friend that would beg to differ," Nick chuckled. "So just stop delaying the inevitable and get over here so we can lump you!"

"Well, if you insist," Corvus quipped, his hands glowing with dark energy.

("Take Over" by Lyn Inaizumi plays)

Klee made the first move, lunging forward and firing a spread of psychic bolts to scatter the three villains in different directions and allow the spies to better deal with them.

"When are you going to get it through your concrete-thick head, James?!" Sam proclaimed as James approached her and Mat. "You and I are never getting back together, no matter what you say or do!"

"Oh, poor, deluded, simple-minded woman," James cackled. "You honestly don't realize that this little Hawaiian dish duped you? He doesn't actually care about you, he just wants a floozy for his little collection."

Before either Sam or Mat could respond to that brazen statement, James suddenly bent backwards in pain. Sam got a closer look and saw that the cause was Kana, having joined the battle by rushing in and headbutting James in the chest much like Klee had done to Corvus earlier.

"Um, excuse me, pot, name's kettle, have we met?" Kana taunted as she jumped and kicked James in the head, sending him tumbling down the hallway.

"Nice shot, Kana!" Sam exclaimed.

"Hey, I figured I have enough martial-arts knowhow to take this guy down a peg myself," Kana quipped. "Besides that, he's gonna really regret messing with my mom and dad, no matter what time they're from!"

"That's the spirit, dearie," Mat proclaimed. "Now let's mess this guy up good."

Meanwhile, Boogie Gus raised a new weapon towards the spies, using it to blow bubbles, of all things, but when the bubbles got close to the spies, they exploded violently, forcing the spies to stay on the defensive.

"Yeah, how do you like them bubbles, you punks?!" Boogie Gus laughed as he continued to send explosive bubbles towards the spies.

One bubble came dangerously close to Britney, but Melissa quickly used an All-Weather Umbrella to defend against it before firing a Cyclone Blast Hairdryer to knock the bubble weapon out of Boogie Gus' hands.

"Guess who's the real gunslinger around here, pal," Melissa taunted.

"Gunslingers are from the cowboy days, little missy!" Boogie Gus shot back, only to get beaned in the chest by Future May's anchor.

"Pay attention when you're rambling, buddy," Future May retorted.

While all of this was happening, Nick and Klee were flying around Corvus dodging dark magic blasts and waiting for an opportunity to retaliate.

"Yes, fly around like the pests you truly are," Corvus taunted.

In response to that crack, Nick stopped in mid-air and began firing psychic bolts one after another from both of his hands, although none of them seemed to be on target.

"I'm not even dodging you," Corvus cackled. "Seriously, are you even trying to hit me?"

"No," Nick quipped.

"Whatdo you mean 'no'?" Corvus wondered, only to gasp in shock when he realized his mistake.

All of the psychic bolts that Nick had fired were now surrounding him.

"Should have kept your eye on the birdie," Nick chuckled as he clapped his hands together, and all of the psychic bolts he'd fired converged on Corvus at once, flooring him instantly.

"Out of my way, little girl!" James shouted as he attempted to punch Kana, only for her to effortlessly dodge each of his wild swings. "This is between me and this little tart!"

"That's my mom you just insulted, you know," Kana replied as James tried to jump over her, only for her to reach up, grab James by the leg, and smash him back into the ground. "And for your info, I don't take that lightly."

Boogie Gus came rolling into James a couple seconds later thanks to Melissa and Dawn tackling him away from Nozomi.

"Yeah, this isn't going too well for you three, is it?" Nick taunted. "How about you do the sensible thing and surrender?"

"Oh, you should know the answer to that, boy," Corvus chuckled.

"I know, I just figured I'd give it the ol' college try," Nick replied.

"We're just getting started with you little nutmegs," Boogie Gus cackled. "So why don't you just bend over so we can..."

Just then, something very strange happened.

As James and Boogie Gus both moved to attack, they were just as quickly frozen in their spots, their bodies surrounded by a faint dark glow.

"W-what the... what the hell?" James gasped.

"Why... why the heck am I an icicle?" Boogie Gus gasped. "It's not even winter yet!"

Before anyone could wonder what exactly was going on, Boogie Gus moved his hands to activate his time travel device, and James walked closer to him.

"Hey, man, we're not done here yet, so don't you dare send us back!" James exclaimed.

"It's not me, dude! My body isn't listenin' to me anymore!" Boogie Gus shouted.

Before James could make any further arguments, a red bubble of light surrounded him and Boogie Gus, warping them away before it closed.

"Okay, so... what the heck just happened?!" Clover gasped.

"I'm willing to bet that was your doing, Corvus?" Nick quipped.

"But of course," Corvus responded. "I only intended to play along with their inane little games just long enough to get me into position to play my own hand. I always planned to double-cross those two upstarts, and they had no idea."

"Ah, good ol' rules for villains number eight," Future Haruka chuckled. "Never assume that teaming up with another villains mean an equal partnership. Always plan for a double-cross."

"Lots of villains don't seem to remember that one," Nozomi quipped.

"And where did you send them off to?" Klee wondered.

"I simply made the hipster send them both back to your time where they belong, so we can have our fun without any unwanted elements getting in our way," Corvus cackled.

"Oh, bring it," Nick challenged.

Before the spies could all go on the attack, however, a loud scream caught their attention, and they turned around just in time to see Kana get encased in a bubble of darkness and brought over to Corvus.

"I would advise against a reckless charge, if just for the sake of this poor girl," Corvus taunted. "Meet me downtown and we'll settle our grudge for good. Don't keep me waiting, spies."

With his spiel said, Corvus vanished in a dull flash, taking Kana with him.

"Oh, that little slimeball," Sam growled.

"Trust me, he's gonna pay big time for that," Nick proclaimed as he flipped open his X-Powder. "Sortiliena, we've got a problem here. Corvus sent James and Boogie Gus back to our time, but then he kidnapped Kana and high-tailed it downtown. Can you send some agents to the beach house to look after future us while we do the big battle thing?"

"Understood!" Future Sortiliena exclaimed. "Go and stick it to him good!"

And so, after a quick stop in Sortiliena's office for a gadget refit, the spies all set out into downtown Beverly Hills to find Corvus and take him down before he did anything to hurt Kana.

To be concluded...

Next time...

Sam: Where the hell are you, Corvus?!

Mat: Don't tire yourself shouting, Sam. I'm pretty sure he's going to show up eventually.

Klee: Lo and behold, you were right!

Corvus: So glad you could make it, spies. And here I was thinking you were going to leave me high and dry.

Sam: Not when you've got our daughter in your grimy clutches, you bastard. Now give Kana back, or else!

Corvus: And what, exactly, are you going to do about it?

Nick: Oh, we're very glad you asked that, freak show. You'll just have to wait and see until next time, on the final act of Totally Spies: Future Frenzy, "The End of Time"!

Future May: ...hey, are those Power Rangers Time Force references?

Alex: I was waiting for someone to get it!
