The Addams Family Checks In
Before you read: This takes place after both "Addams Family" movies and the first "Hotel Transylvania" movie, but before the second "Hotel Transylvania". Enjoy.
It was a dark and spooky night at Hotel Transylvania, and everything was horrifyingly peaceful as all the frightful guests were happy. Monsters of all different shapes and sizes were in the lobby, some were relaxing in the chairs, some were walking into other rooms, and others were checking in or out. Frankenstein and his wife Eunice entered through a corridor, Griffin was leaning against the wall reading a magazine, and Murray was strolling through. Suddenly all of Wayne and Wanda's kids swarmed through the lobby and wreaked havoc before leaving.
Dracula, who was at the desk, showed an annoyed expression as he said, "Housekeeping!"
The housekeeping witches flew in and used their magic wands to fix all the damage the pups caused and then flew away.
Wayne and Wanda walked to the desk and Dracula looked at them with an annoyed expression as he said, "Do your kids ever behave?"
Wayne glumly replied, "Yes, when they're sleeping."
Wanda rubbed her stomach and smiled as she said, "Winnie still behaves."
Wayne looked at her as he said, "Yeah, for now."
Wanda nodded and then they left the lobby, then Johnny and Mavis quickly came down and hurried to Dracula.
Johnny showed a friendly smile as he said, "Hey Drac."
Dracula smiled happily at them as he said, "Hello Johnny. Hello Mavy."
Mavis smiled as she replied, "Hi Dad."
Mavis glanced around and Dracula noticed something about her and said, "Honey-bat, what's on your mind?"
Mavis spoke up as she sincerely said, "Dad, I've been thinking, maybe we should start letting humans check into the hotel."
Some of the guests started staring at them and Dracula politely said, "Mavis, the hotel wasn't built in a day. Just because I have come to accept humans doesn't mean that everyone else will too."
Johnny spoke up and said, "What about me?"
Dracula looked at Johnny as he reasoned, "Everyone knows you pretty well Johnny. Some humans out there might not be ready to accept monsters yet either. We need to proceed slowly. These things take time."
Mavis was disappointed as she said, "Yeah I guess you're right."
Johnny sadly nodded, then Dracula tried to raise their spirits as he said, "But a couple weeks ago I did put out an add trying to get humans to come here."
Mavis and Johnny got excited as Johnny said, "Oh that's awesome! How many humans have called so far?"
Dracula glanced to the side as he said, "Uh… not a whole lot. Like I said, some humans still aren't ready to accept monsters, we need to be patient."
Mavis understood her father as she said, "Well, if it's only been a couple of weeks I guess we shouldn't expect a lot. Have any humans called yet?"
Dracula raised his finger as he answered, "We did get one call. A woman reserved three rooms for her and her family for four days."
Mavis got excited as she said, "That's great dad! When are they coming?"
Dracula was a bit nervous as he answered, "Today."
All the monsters in the lobby suddenly stared at them nervously and Dracula raised his arms and said, "Yes, humans are coming to the hotel. So advise everyone to try hard not to scare them and make them feel welcome."
Everyone nervously complied and went about their business, still tense about the idea of humans coming to them.
Dracula turned back to his daughter as he said, "Mavis, you have more experience with humans than any of us, and you know them better than we do. So I want you to help out. I'm putting you in charge of taking care of these humans. They're wealthy so a happy vacation here would also be good for the hotel and help our reputation. I want you to tend to them, show them around the hotel, make sure they have a good time, and make sure nothing goes wrong."
Mavis smiled confidently as she said, "You can count on me dad!"
Dracula placed his hand on her shoulder as he proudly said, "That's my girl!"
He then turned to Johnny and said, "And Johnny, I want you to help her. Since you're a human you'll know how to handle them."
Johnny smiled enthusiastically as he saluted Dracula like a soldier and said, "You got it Drac! I'm on it!"
Mavis curiously asked, "So any idea what time they'll be here?"
Dracula glanced around in thought as he replied, "They called a little while ago saying they just left from the airport. They're on their way here right now."
Meanwhile
A spooky-looking car was driving through the haunted forest on its way to the hotel; the car was not a hearse but it was frightening. Riding in the car was none other than the feared Addams Family on their first ever family vacation. Their living hand Thing was driving the car while their butler Lurch sat in the passenger seat and the rest of the family was in the back. The family was tightly squeezed together between themselves and their luggage, they could barely move and yet they were not the least bit phased. Wednesday sat beside her mother and Grandmama sat beside her, and Wednesday's pet octopus Socrates rested on her shoulder. Across from them sat Gomez, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, and Cousin Itt, with Kitty Kat laying on the floor in front of them. The car was also packed with large suitcases that contained various objects they brought with them.
Wednesday spoke in a monotone voice as she said, "I am pleased that we are going on a real vacation. Who knows what untold horrors await us?"
Gomez smiled as he said, "Yes my little night crawler, I am very excited! This was a wonderful idea Morticia!"
Morticia smiled politely as she said, "Thank you darling. I think this is going to be a truly gruesome experience for us to bond together as a family."
Itt glanced around as he spoke his gibberish, then Gomez smiled at him and said, "Yes and I'm so glad you could join us Cousin Itt."
Pugsley glanced out the window and curiously said, "Yeah, but where are we going mother?"
Morticia smiled calmly as she explained, "A few days ago when I was watching television I saw an ad for this delightfully frightening hotel, Hotel Transylvania, run by Count Dracula. From what I saw I think we'll feel right at home."
Wednesday was surprised as she glanced up at her mother, then smiled deviously as she said, "Count Dracula? That is most frighteningly interesting."
Pugsley was slightly confused as he said, "What's a hotel?"
Gomez spoke up as he answered, "A place where people go to stay and relax for short time when they want to get away from things bothering them at home."
Morticia nodded and indicatively explained, "Yes and from what the commercial said, they have a Five Scar restaurant, a spa with various torture devices, a pool, and they offer room service and other leisurely activities."
Fester smiled anxiously as he said, "Ooh, sounds classy!"
Grandmama excitedly said, "I've heard that some of the most infamous monsters stay there!"
Morticia nodded and looked at Wednesday and Pugsley as she said, "Yes Grandmama, which is why I want you children to be on your worst behavior. This is a disrespectable hotel and we don't want the other guests to think we're a civilized family with no rudeness."
Wednesday and Pugsley both rolled their eyes as they simultaneously replied, "Yes mother."
Their car drove through the forest when a trap door opened downward and the car drove through an underground tunnel. Thing continued driving the car through the tunnel, and when they came out of it they drove across a bridge, finally arriving at the hotel. They drove through the gate and pulled up in front of the stoop as Thing jumped off the wheel and put the car in park.
Lurch turned to face the family as he groaned, prompting Gomez to say, "Ah, we're here!"
The headless horseman chauffeur walked up to their car and opened the door to let the family out. Kitty was the first to come out as he roared and ran forward, then the rest of them came out, including Lurch and Thing.
Thing crawled onto Gomez' shoulder as Gomez smiled at the headless horseman, gave him a dollar, and said, "Thank you for your hospitality."
The headless horseman smiled as he tipped his hat; Wednesday and Pugsley stared up at the hotel with blank expressions.
Wednesday sounded disappointed as she spoke with her monotone voice and said, "I was expecting something more horrific."
Pugsley nodded in agreement until Morticia looked down at them and said, "Now Wednesday, let's not be unnecessarily cruel. Remember what we discussed."
Wednesday nodded as she said, "Yes mother."
Morticia smiled as she turned to Lurch and said, "Good, now Lurch, please get the bags."
Before Lurch could do anything the zombie bellhops climbed over their car, moaning as they pried open the car and grabbed all the suitcases.
Morticia was surprised as she said, "Oh how thoughtful of them to disturb our luggage's resting place. Come everyone, let's go inside."
The Addams Family all walked together up the steps and through the revolving door, and entered the lobby. Immediately after the Addams's entered all of the monsters immediately stared at them with their eyes wide open in shock. At the reception desk on the other side of lobby stood Dracula, Mavis, and Johnny; Johnny squinted his eyes curiously as he stared at the humans at the entrance.
Johnny suddenly recognized them as he said, "No way! The Addams Family!"
Dracula and Mavis eyed him curiously as Dracula perplexed, "You know these people?"
Johnny acted a bit nervous as he frantically explained, "I've never met them but I've heard of them! People say lots of things about the Addams Family! Lots of people say they're crazy and scary! They say their house is a museum that makes people scream!"
Dracula and Mavis both seemed troubled as Dracula said, "Really…"
The Addams Family glanced around at the lobby and all the guests inside as Morticia happily said, "What a lovely lobby."
The Addams's started walking down the red carpet as all the monsters continued staring at them.
As they walked Wednesday looked around with half a smile as she said, "Perhaps I spoke too soon. This place looks most wonderfully horrifying."
As they walked they passed Blobby, who Itt turned to and greeted as he took off his hat and said some gibberish. Blobby replied with some more gibberish as he waved at them and watched them walk to the reception desk.
They stopped at the desk and Dracula smiled as he put his arms out and said, "Hello, welcome to Hotel Transylvania."
Gomez smiled happily as he held his left arm out to shake Dracula's hand, but instead Dracula shook Thing while Gomez said, "Hello, my name is Gomez Addams and we're here for our terrifying family vacation."
Dracula stared at Thing as he shook him then let go as Thing stood on the desk while Gomez said, "This is my wife Morticia."
Morticia smiled politely as she said, "Charmed."
Gomez introduced the rest of the Addams's while he said, "These are our children, Wednesday and Pugsley, this is our butler Lurch, my brother Fester, my mother Eudora, and my Cousin Itt."
Itt lifted his hat and spoke some of his gibberish to greet Dracula, who looked at the Addams Family with a shocked expression.
He suddenly noticed something and said, "Nice to meet you all, although there is one small problem. When you reserved your three rooms you said they were for seven adults, two children, and two pets; however I see you only have one pet."
He looked at Kitty Kat, who growled, then Wednesday walked up to the desk and held her arm up as she said, "This is Socrates."
Socrates uses his tentacles to climb up Wednesday's arm and sat in her hand as he stared at Dracula, who was still a bit surprised.
Dracula simply stared at the octopus as he said, "Oh I see."
Socrates climbed down and hung onto Wednesday's left pigtail as she curiously said, "Are you truly the Count Dracula?"
Dracula looked down at her and replied, "Yes I am."
Pugsley tried to imitate him as he put his arms up and said, "Blah blah blah!"
Dracula was annoyed as he said, "I don't say that!"
Wednesday eyed him judgingly as she said, "Good because that sounds ridiculous. Although I must admit you're not as frightening as I thought."
Everyone immediately gasped in shock and horror, especially Johnny and Mavis, and Dracula stared at the girl with an insulted expression.
He glared at Wednesday and said, "You think I'm not scary? I have terrified the bravest of both men and monsters!"
Wednesday was still skeptical as she said, "Prove it."
Mavis frantically put her arms up as she said, "Dad no! Don't!"
Dracula didn't listen as his face turned red and he roared at the Addams Family, prompting all of them to cry in fear as they took a step back.
When Dracula calmed down Wednesday actually smiled and said, "My apologies. That was impressively terrifying."
Gomez smiled happily as he leaned on the desk and complimented, "Yes, you live up to your infamy."
Grandmama was panting before she smiled and said, "You almost gave me a heart attack! I haven't had a scare that good in decades!"
Pugsley raised his fists as he said, "That was awesome!"
Morticia politely applauded as she said, "Quite. Thank you Count for that horrible demonstration."
Everyone was shocked by how much these humans enjoyed being scared and Dracula said, "Uh… you're welcome."
Dracula then moved his hand to refer to Mavis and said, "My daughter will now tend to your needs."
Mavis then walked around the desk and stood in front of the family, smiling as she said, "Hello, my name is Mavis, I'll be taking care of you all during your stay here at Hotel Transylvania."
Morticia smiled politely as she said, "How kind of you."
Dracula handed the room keys to Mavis, who started walking as she said, "Now if you all just follow me I'll show you to your rooms."
They all followed her as Gomez happily said, "Thank you."
Mavis escorted them to the elevator, which they crammed themselves into before turning around to face the lobby. Mavis pushed the button, closing the elevator door while all the monsters stared at them with their eyes wide open.
When the doors closed Johnny, stunned by what he saw, asked Dracula, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
Dracula stared at the elevator door with a stunned expression, but immediately smiled while he said, "Absolutely. I like these guys!"
All the other monsters immediately smiled as they cheered, "Yeah!"
Dracula smiled at Johnny as he said, "Johnny I wasn't sure about this at first but these humans are great! I have a good feeling about this!"
Johnny was a bit surprised as he stared at Dracula, but then relaxed as he said, "Yeah, I think they'll fit in just fine."
Meanwhile on a higher floor
The elevator doors opened and Mavis lead the Addams Family down the hall; they passed dozens of other rooms.
One by one, all the shrunken heads hanging on the doors said, "Do not disturb."
Mavis stopped when they reached the rooms and said, "Alright here we are, rooms 542, 543, and 544."
Room 543 was on the left side of the hall and the other two rooms were on the opposite side of the hallway.
Mavis unlocked room 543 and handed all three room keys to Morticia as she said, "Make yourselves at tomb. Our bellhops will bring your bags up shortly."
Morticia unlocked the other two rooms before turning to her family and said, "Alright, let's go over the sleeping arrangements."
Kitty immediately ran into room 543 and started napping on the floor, the room only had one bed so Morticia already knew what to do.
She looked at Gomez and said, "Dear, you and I will stay in this room with Kitty."
Gomez smiled as he joined his hands and said, "Wonderful darling."
Morticia walked into room 542, which was bigger and had two beds and a large window and a large closet on the wall opposite of the beds.
Morticia glanced around before turning around and pointing her finger as she said, "Children, you both will sleep in here along with Lurch and Thing."
Lurch moaned while Thing gave a thumbs-up and Wednesday looked at the two beds and said, "Mother there are only two beds in this room."
Morticia indicatively said, "You kids will have to share one."
Wednesday pointed at Pugsley as she blankly said, "Or Pugsley could sleep on the floor."
Pugsley thought and said, "Hmm… sounds good."
Mavis walked past them as she said, "Actually…"
She walked to the closet and opened the doors before pulling out a third bed; this bed was a bed of nails with a pillow on it.
Mavis turned around and politely said, "We do have pullout beds of nails in some of our rooms."
Lurch walked past Mavis and sat on the bed of nails, feeling no pain at all as he said in his low voice, "Diiiiibs."
Morticia was pleased as she said, "Wonderful!"
Gomez lead the others into room 544, which had had two beds, a window, and large couch on the wall opposite of the beds.
Gomez smiled as he turned around and said, "Alright, brother you will sleep in here with mother and Cousin Itt."
Itt stood on the couch as he said some of his gibberish, then Fester jumped on his bed and said, "Oh this is great! I wish I had a death bed like this at home!"
Grandmama lifted the blanket of her bed and smiled in delight and said, "And bed bugs! Just what I've been missing!"
They turned to Mavis as she smiled and said, "Okay, I'll let you all get settled. If you need anything just let me know."
Morticia smiled as she nodded and politely said, "Thank you."
Mavis turned into a bat and flew down the hall as Morticia turned around and said, "What a delightful young vampire."
Soon the zombie bellhops came and brought all their bags and the Addams Family unpacked their things and made themselves uncomfortable. In room 542 Wednesday had unpacked her dolls, weapons, and torture devices, Pugsley unpacked all his explosives, and Lurch unpacked his books. On the nightstand between Wednesday and Pugsley's beds they had a goblet full of water for Socrates and Thing's box. Pugsley sat in his bed working on a bomb, Wednesday sat on the floor where she set up her mini guillotine, and Lurch sat on the pullout bed of nails reading one of his books. Suddenly their door opened and they looked to see Uncle Fester standing in the doorway, wearing a bathing suit and having a towel draped over his shoulders.
Fester smiled at Wednesday and Pugsley as he said, "Hey kids, I'm going up to the pool. When you're ready come on up and we'll see how long we can hold our breath before drowning."
Wednesday grabbed her crossbow and aimed it at Fester as she said, "Okay Uncle Fester."
She fired the crossbow but Fester dodged it as it narrowly missed his head, then he smiled and said, "Nice try Wednesday but you need to work on your timing. Great aim though."
He left down the hall revealing the arrow stuck in the wall, suddenly Mavis came and noticed the arrow. She glanced at Wednesday, pulled the arrow out of the wall, walked to her, and handed it to her.
Mavis returned the arrow as she politely said, "I believe this is yours."
Wednesday took the arrow and politely said, "Thank you."
Mavis kneeled down and fondly said, "You know, I used to have a crossbow like that when I was a kid. I used to shoot at the zombies all the time, always between the eyes."
Wednesday became interested as a small smile appeared on her face and she said, "Impressive. 'Mavis' is it? Are you as frightening as your father?"
Mavis smiled coyly as she said, "Well, I don't like to brag but my dad has taught me some scary techniques."
Wednesday then requested, "Could you show me one?"
Mavis was flattered as she turned away, waved her hand, and said, "No, I really shouldn't."
Wednesday became anxious as she said, "If you scare me to death my spirits will be lifted."
Mavis surrendered a she politely raised her finger and said, "Well… okay! But just one."
Mavis immediately turned to Wednesday as her face turned red and she showed her fangs and roared in Wednesday's face. Wednesday screamed and jumped back frightened, then Mavis stopped and showed a friendly smile.
Wednesday immediately calmed down and smiled as she said, "I've been traumatized."
Mavis chuckled and said, "You should see my Aunt Lydia."
Mavis and Wednesday suddenly turned as they heard Pugsley say, "Hey!"
Pugsley stood on his bed and waved a pocket watch back and forth as he said, "Tic toc Mavis. Watch the watch. You are getting very sleepy. Very sleepy. When I snap my fingers you will think you are Wednesday."
He snapped his fingers but nothing happened, and Mavis showed a bored expression as she watched his pocket watch.
She spoke sarcastically and said, "That's cute. You're a little mouse."
She stared at him and her eyes glowed blue, and so did his for a brief moment as she hypnotized him. When they stopped glowing he started squeaking and scurrying across the floor like a mouse as Mavis and Wednesday watched.
Mavis chuckled and Wednesday smiled deviously as she put her fingers tips together and said, "If only I could manipulate him like that."
Wednesday looked up at Mavis and curiously said, "You live in this hotel with your father?"
Mavis nodded as she happily replied, "Oh yeah I've lived here most of my life, ever since I was thirty-three years old. I grew up here."
A small smile appeared on Wednesday's face as she said, "That sounds most wonderfully dreadful."
Mavis chuckled and said, "Yeah, I know lots of ways to have fun here. That's why my dad asked me to make sure you and your family have a good time."
Wednesday politely said, "Perhaps you could show us to the pool?"
Mavis stood up and said, "Sure, why don't you all change into your swimsuits and I'll lead you to the pool, I was in the mood for a swim anyway."
Mavis walked to the door and passed Pugsley before snapping her finger and snapping him out of his trance. He was eating a crumb off the floor when she snapped him back to normal and he got back on two feet and looked around.
Later at the pool
Many monsters were out relaxing, Fester was sitting in the pool with Johnny as Dracula came up to check on everyone.
When he saw them he flew over to them, and whispered to Johnny, "Johnny, how is everything going?"
Johnny smiled, glanced over his shoulder, and whispered, "Oh great! I've been showing Fester around and he's been having lots of fun here."
Dracula smiled as he gave him a thumbs-up, then suddenly a sandstorm occurred and Murray appeared above the pool shouting, "Here's Murray!"
He splashed down into the pool as everyone laughed, including Fester, and Murray swam over to Johnny, Dracula, and Fester.
Murray showed a friendly smile as he said, "Hey Drac, what's up buddy."
Dracula was annoyed as he said, "Murray I told you not to get sand in the pool!"
Murray apologized and said, "Sorry man, couldn't help myself."
Fester had his fists on his sides as he happily said, "No problem I like it. Feels like I'm at the beach in the Bermuda Triangle."
Murray smiled as he swam next to Fester and said, "Thanks man, you like sand? You should see my dune doom technique!"
Fester was interested as he said, "Sounds good! Maybe you could bury me some time!"
Just then Mavis came up in her one-piece bathing suit while leading Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday, and Pugsley. Gomez and Pugsley were both wearing swim trunks while Morticia wore a black bikini and Wednesday wore a black one-piece similar to Mavis'.
Fester waved at them and said, "Hey kids, come on in the water's great!"
Pugsley jumped in as he shouted, "Cannonball!"
Mavis jumped in while Wednesday simply climbed in and Gomez happily dived into the water, while Morticia stood in place and watched them.
Gomez surfaced and smiled up at her as he said, "My love come, join us, it is very refreshing."
Morticia politely declined, sat in a nearby grave chair, leaned back against the headstone and said, "Perhaps later dear. I think I'll just sit here and enjoy the moonlight."
Gomez turned around while saying, "Alright, when you're ready to join us we'll be waiting."
He swam down into the pool and surfaced next to Murray and Fester as he said, "Hello Mr. Mummy, I see you've met my brother."
Murray smiled as he pointed his thumb at Fester and said, "Yeah, and I like this guy. He's loads of fun!"
Fester suddenly shoved Murray down into the water from behind, and Murray resurfaced and the three of them began roughhousing happily.
Mavis swam to the edge of the pool when Dracula leaned over next to her and said, "Mavy how are our special guests doing?"
She smiled happily as she answered, "Great dad! I think they're really enjoying themselves. They're not scared at all, they're really nice and polite, and they know how to have fun. I like them."
Dracula was pleased as he said, "Good, I'm glad to hear it."
Suddenly some black ink squirted Dracula in the face and he cried in small pain as it got in his eyes, he wiped it off and opened his eyes. He and Mavis turned to see Wednesday smugly floating in the pool with Socrates sitting on her shoulder. Dracula wagged his finger as he chuckled playfully and then Socrates squirted more ink, but Dracula waved his hand and used his telekinesis to move him and make him squirt Wednesday instead.
She wiped the ink off her face and Dracula smiled as he said, "Sorry little girl but you don't want to mess with the Ruler of the Night."
Mavis chuckled at his comment and Wednesday respectfully said, "Well played Prince of Darkness."
Dracula showed a flattered smile as he said, "Thank you mouse."
He turned and walked away and Wednesday looked at Mavis and said, "Your father is impressively mischievous."
Mavis chuckled and said, "Yeah I know."
Suddenly something splashed in the water near them and a small bomb floated to the surface as Wednesday showed a blank expression. She quickly grabbed it and threw it up into the air before it blew up, then she and Mavis turned to see Pugsley floating in a black inner tube with a slingshot in his hand as he smiled maniacally at them. He pulled out three more bombs and launched them at his sister and the young vampire but they were not deterred. Mavis smiled playfully as she waved her hands and used her telekinesis to send the bombs away, blowing up at the sides.
She smiled down at Wednesday and said, "Your brother has a thing for explosives."
Wednesday showed a blank expression as she said, "I know. It's so juvenile."
Pugsley launched another bomb but it stopped in midair surrounded by blue glowing mist and Dracula used his telekinesis to pull it into his hand.
Dracula held the beeping bomb as he sternly said, "Please no bombs in the pool."
He threw the bomb high in the air as it exploded then Pugsley turned to Gomez as he whined, "Dad…"
Gomez raised his finger as he said, "Now Pugsley this Count Dracula's hotel, not our house. We need to follow his rules."
Pugsley put his slingshot away as he surrendered, "Fine!"
He floated in his inner tube as he bobbed up and down then suddenly his inner tube was popped and he turned to see Wednesday with a needle in hand and a smug smile on her face. Suddenly a giant tentacle rose from the pool and Fester stood on top of it as he prepared to jump down from an enormous height.
Fester looked down as he excitedly said, "Alright everyone, watch this! I call this 'the splat'!"
Fester jumped off the tentacle and did a large belly flop into the pool, splashing water on almost everyone in the pool. He surfaced and almost everyone else laughed in pure delight, except of course Wednesday who showed a small smile. Morticia walked out of her seat and over to the snack bar where a zombie chef was handing food to different monsters.
When Morticia came she pointed at what she wanted and said, "I'd like one piece of Avocado toast with some guacamoldy."
The zombie chef gave her what she wanted and she politely said, "Thank you."
She went back to her grave chair and took a bite of her Avocado toast with guacamoldy on it, she chewed it and swallowed with a satisfied expression.
She happily said to herself, "Delightfully putrid."
After she took a few more bites before Gomez swam over to her and said, "Darling, please come in. Join us. We should be spending time together as a family."
Morticia smiled as she put her plate down and said, "Very well dear. I just ate so it would be nice for me to get a cramp anyway."
She walked down the staircase and entered the water as she began swimming with a relaxed expression.
Morticia pleasantly smiled at her husband as she said, "Oh… this water is as cold as a corpse."
Gomez happily jumped and said, "I know, isn't it wonderful!"
Morticia started doing a backstroke as she said, "Yes dear, this is very relaxing. It reminds me of when parents and I used to go to the beach to enjoy dark and stormy days."
She stopped swimming and leaned back against the side of the pool where she was joined by Mavis and Wednesday.
Mavis smiled politely as she said, "So Mrs. Addams, are you enjoying your stay?"
Morticia showed a friendly smile as she said, "Yes I am Mavis, and by all means call me Morticia."
Mavis was surprised as she said, "Okay Morticia, I'm glad you're enjoying yourself."
Wednesday floated next to her mother with a blank expression as she said, "Mother, I wasn't aware that you could swim so well."
Morticia smiled proudly as she reminisced, "Well, when I was a young girl I used swimming in quicksand almost every day."
Wednesday glanced away in thought as she said, "Intriguing. Perhaps you sometime we should go swimming in quicksand together."
Morticia fondly placed her hand on Wednesday's shoulder and said, "I'd like that very much."
Mavis showed a warm smile as she saw how close Wednesday was with her mother, then she turned and looked up at the night sky as she thought about her mother. Johnny swam over next to her and smiled lovingly as he put his arm around her and she happily leaned against him.
Morticia and Wednesday swam away as Morticia noticed the young couple and smiled as she softly said, "Young love."
Later in Wednesday, Pugsley, and Lurch's room
It was very late at night and sunrise was only hours away and the Addams Family was enjoying dinner together. They had ordered room service and were together eating strange food that most people would find disgusting or horrifying.
When they finished Morticia happily said, "Delicious."
Gomez smiled at her as he said, "Agreed, I am glad we decided to order room service."
Grandmama smiled as she raised her finger and said, "They should call it 'tomb service'."
Fester laughed as he pointed his spoon at her and said, "Yeah, that's really clever!"
Pugsley was talking with his mouth full as he said, "These spleens in blankets are great!"
Lurch was eating live bugs as he moaned and then said, "Yum."
Morticia looked at the clock and put her plate down as she said, "It's getting late. We should all turn in."
Pugsley was disappointed as he whined, "Aww dad…"
Lurch started taking everyone's plates while Gomez stood up and said, "Your mother's right children. The early vulture gets the carcass. Off to bed, we all have a big day tomorrow."
Wednesday got out of her seat as she complied, "Yes father."
Lurch put the garbage away and fed the leftovers to Kitty Kat while the others prepared for bed, and soon they all went to sleep. They slept as the sun came up and they all slept through the entire day like all the other monsters in the hotel, which was easy for the Addams Family since they were still on New Jersey time. Not long after the sun went down did they start to wake up; Morticia and Gomez were the first to wake up when the skull phone next to their bed started screaming.
They were surprised as they watched the skull scream and Gomez smiled as he said, "I like that. We should get one for the house."
Morticia smiled politely as she said, "Agreed dear, now answer it."
Gomez answered the phone and said, "Hello? Oh really? Yes we'd love to!"
He hung up the phone and said, "My darling, wonderful news!"
Shortly afterwards Wednesday and Pugsley were sound asleep in their beds while Lurch slept comfortably on the pullout bed of nails. Wednesday and Pugsley were in their sleep clothes with socks on as they both slept quietly until the door opened. They both woke up as Wednesday sat up like a vampire, with her arms crossed over her chest. Pugsley got up and growled like some kind of disturbed animal, and Lurch raised his arms straight out and sat up like Frankenstein. Thing lifted the lid of his box and stretched his fingers outward while Socrates slowly emerged from the goblet of water next to Wednesday's bed.
They all looked at Gomez and Morticia, and Gomez happily said, "Wake up children. Count Dracula has invited us to join him and his friends for breakfast."
Wednesday was surprised as she said, "Really? Intriguing."
Morticia smiled as she said, "Yes, this is delightful. Now both of you get dressed. Let's not keep them waiting. We don't want to be rude."
Wednesday started walking as she said, "Yes mother."
They soon got dressed and woke up Fester and Grandmama as well, then the whole family went down to the hotel's restaurant. When they went down they saw Dracula, Mavis, and Johnny waiting for them at the end of a very long table.
Dracula smiled politely as he greeted them and said, "Ah, Addams Family, I'm glad you decided to join us."
Gomez walked to Dracula and put his hands out to his sides as he happily said, "Thank you for inviting us to join you for breakfast count."
Dracula glanced around as he honestly said, "Well you are all our special guests so I wanted to make you feel welcome, and I thought what better way than to invite you to breakfast with friends and family."
Morticia politely replied, "That's very kind of you."
Frank and Eunice entered through the doorway behind the Addams Family and Frank suddenly noticed Lurch.
Frank's face lit up in delight as he said, "Lurch, is that you?"
Lurch turned to Frank and groaned with a blank expression, then Frank hugged him, lifted him off the ground, and said, "Great to see you buddy! It's been years! You look good."
He put Lurch down and said, "So what new with you?"
Lurch groaned again and then Frank said, "Really? Well that's great!"
Morticia walked up behind Lurch and said, "Lurch, I didn't realize you knew Frankenstein."
Frank smiled as he glanced at Lurch and said, "Oh yeah we go way back. We used to be poker pals. Until about thirty years ago when a mob found us and ruined our game. They chased us with torches on…"
Lurch smiled as he interrupted and moaned, "Fire. Firrrrrre baaaaaaad…"
Dracula, Mavis, and Johnny all started laughing and Dracula said, "Yeah we all know that. Fire bad!"
Frank glared at them with an annoyed expression then he turned as Eunice said, "Frank, get over here, let's order breakfast already!"
Frank smiled as he said, "Coming honey."
Frank walked away and sat down next to his wife and Dracula said, "She's right. By all means, Addams's sit down and decide on your order."
Morticia turned around and started walking but stopped when she suddenly bumped into something and she looked to see a pair of sunglasses floating in midair looking at her, it was Griffin.
Morticia politely apologized, "I'm sorry. I didn't see you there."
Griffin's sunglasses showed he didn't mind as he said, "It's cool. Happens all the time."
Griffin left and went to his seat and Morticia did the same thing, Murray entered along with Wayne and Wanda. Before long all members of the Addams Family were seated at the table with Dracula and his friends and family. Dracula sat at the head of the table with the Addams Family sitting to his left and everyone else to his right. Gomez sat next to Dracula at the end of the table, and next to him sat Morticia, next were Wednesday and Pugsley in that order. Grandmama sat next to Pugsley and next to her sat Lurch, and Cousin Itt sat next to him. Fester sat next to Cousin Itt at the other end of the table. On the other side of the table, Mavis sat next to her father at the end of the table and next to her sat her boyfriend Johnny. To Johnny's right sat Wayne and then Wanda, and next to Wanda sat Kelsey with all of her tentacles moving. Next to Kelsey sat Frankenstein, across from Lurch, and Eunice sat next to him across from Cousin Itt. At the other end of the table, next to Eunice, sat Murray across from Fester and Griffin sat between them, across from Dracula.
They all picked up their menus as Dracula happily said, "Well I already know what I want, when all of you are ready to order just say so."
Morticia studied her menu and glanced at him as she politely said, "Thank you Count."
Mavis smiled as she looked at Wednesday, who showed a returned her gesture with a small smile of her own. It wasn't long before they all decided what they wanted to order and Quasimodo came out as the gargoyle waiters delivered their meals.
Quasimodo happily said, "Bon appetit!"
Soon they all began eating their breakfast; Dracula was enjoying a dragon egg omelet with side of blood beaters. Mavis was happily eating her worm cakes and Wednesday ordered the same thing as she swallowed a worm covered in syrup. Gomez was eating some Blue Scary Muffins with a cup of coffin coffee and Morticia was peacefully eating her breakfast Ghoulash. Pugsley was eating deviled lizard fingers while Grandmama ate her jellyfish rolls and Cousin Itt was eating some stone ground crickets. Fester had a bowl of stoatmeal while Griffin had some legs benedict, which disappeared as he ate them with his invisible mouth. Everyone else ate different monster food while Johnny just had a simple bowl of cereal.
Morticia happily swallowed a tentacle and said, "Disgusting! My insults to the chef."
Gomez swallowed a bite of his muffin and happily said, "Agreed my love. This is some of the worst food I have ever had!"
Dracula was flattered as he said, "Thank you both. I will tell Quasimodo you enjoyed it so much."
Wednesday looked at Dracula and curiously asked, "Count Dracula, how does a monster of your infamy become the owner and manager of such a horrific hotel?"
Dracula looked at the Addams Family and moved his hand to refer to Mavis while he said, "Well you see I always wanted to open a safe place for monsters to go to get away from the dangers of humans. When my daughter was born I wanted to have a safe place to raise her where she wouldn't be lonely, but then an angry mob of humans attacked our old home and killed my wife. I raised her in this hotel so she would have a good afterlife and never be threatened by any humans."
Mavis nodded and Gomez understood as he nodded and said, "Ah yes. My family and I were chased out of the old country on our wedding day, but then we moved into a lovely asylum and made it our new home."
They looked at Morticia as she said, "But after being cooped up for so many years we decided to get out more. We went on a cross country road trip last month, and then we heard about your horrible hotel and decided it would be a better choice for a vacation."
They all looked at Fester as he happily said, "Yeah and so far it's worse than we expected. It tops the time I spent the night in that tomb."
Murray laughed and smiled at Fester as he happily said, "I love this guy!"
Frankenstein looked over at Lurch and smiled as he happily said, "So Lurch how you been buddy?"
Lurch groaned a bit and Frank happily replied, "Oh that's great! You've sure moved up in the world!"
Eunice smiled and nodded as she said, "Yeah, never thought I'd see you as a butler for such a great wealthy family."
Lurch groaned again and Frankenstein chuckled and pointed at him as he said, "Oh I hear that."
Dracula looked back at Morticia as she politely asked, "Tell me count, do you have any special events planned?"
Dracula smiled as he glanced up and said, "Well in two days we are planning a big party for all of the guests."
Gomez smiled as he happily said, "Oh wonderful! That's our last day here! After that we'll be on our way back home."
Dracula smiled as he held his hands out to his sides and said, "Perfect! In the meantime you and your family are free to explore the hotel and enjoy all of our other activities and facilities."
Wednesday smiled deviously as she said, "Two days, if we make it that far."
Later that day Gomez went to the hotel spa, where he found his wife relaxing in a cauldron of boiling hot water. He glanced around and saw some of the other guests enjoying various different torture devices and being treated by employees. He saw Frankenstein moaning in relaxation as he sat in an electric chair that was shocking him.
He saw Griffin lying on a bed of nails as he said, "Oh yeah! That really sticks me."
Gomez walked over to a rack and spoke to a zombie as he politely said, "I'll take a stretching thank you."
The zombie groaned as Gomez laid on the rack and then the zombie chained up his wrists and ankles before he started turning the wheel. He tightly pushed the wheel as Gomez's arms and legs straightened out as the medieval torture device stretched his body out.
His body made cracking sounds as he happily said, "Oh yes! That's very good! I haven't been tortured like this in years!"
Dracula walked over to the rack and smiled at Gomez as he said, "Always the worst for our guests here at Hotel Transylvania."
Dracula happily left as the zombie kept stretching Gomez on the rack; meanwhile Wednesday was outside in the cemetery. She was sitting on a headstone looking up at the night sky while she kicked her legs through the air.
Suddenly she looked up and saw Mavis flying toward her as a bat as she said, "Wednesday? What are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be having fun with your family?"
Mavis changed to her vampire form as Wednesday glanced around and said, "I am trying to get away from my family so that I may see the sights before I blind them with my wrath."
Mavis chuckled and sat down on the headstone next to her and happily said, "Yeah, I know how you feel. When I was a kid I always wanted to go out and see the world, but my dad wouldn't let me because I was too young and the world was dangerous."
Wednesday looked up at her and replied, "Yes, my parents sought to hide us from the world before we started going out. Our home was my prison and Pugsley and I were the inmates. Solitary confinement was always something I looked forward to."
Mavis looked at the hotel and smiled as she nodded and said, "Yeah, I did meet a lot of great monsters here though, and my chores were nice on slow days."
Suddenly the heard a loud shout and they curiously looked up to see Pugsley hang gliding off the roof of the hotel and heading toward them.
Wednesday looked away and groaned in annoyance as she said, "My brother is playing one of his games again."
Mavis watched as Pugsley glided toward them and pulled out his slingshot; he launched an explosive at them and it landed near their feet. Mavis smiled competitively as she kicked the bomb away before it exploded, then she smiled back up at Pugsley as he launched several more at her. Mavis ran with her vampire speed as she twisted and turned through the cemetery, avoiding all of Pugsley's explosives. She laughed after dodging the last one, then she turned into a bat and flew next to him as he glided through the air.
She looked at him with an amused smile as she said, "Taking down a vampire is not something for a kid your age, especially since I'm a Dracula."
Suddenly an arrow was launched through the air and tore a hole in Pugsley's glider, they looked down to see Wednesday holding her crossbow. Pugsley soon crashed down into the forest and climbed out of a tree as he briefly groaned in pain.
Mavis flew down next to him and changed back to her vampire form when Wednesday sarcastically said, "How amusing Pugsley."
Pugsley looked at her with annoyance and said, "Come on! You never tried to blow someone up when you were my age!"
Wednesday loaded another arrow into her crossbow as she said, "Explosives are so juvenile. I prefer sharper weapons."
Pugsley groaned and walked away while Mavis chuckled and happily said, "Sometimes I wish I had a brother."
As Pugsley walked away Wednesday looked at Mavis and offered, "Would you like mine?"
Mavis politely declined, "No thanks."
Suddenly they heard Dracula singing and looked up at a window in the hotel as Wednesday said, "Is that Count Dracula I hear?"
Mavis pointed at his bedroom window and said, "Yeah. That's his room right there. He's probably getting out the shower right now."
Wednesday smiled evilly as she said, "Interesting."
She aimed her crossbow at Dracula's window while Mavis watched with an amused smile as Wednesday shot an arrow through the window. Dracula had finished getting dressed as he stood in front of a mirror, despite having no reflection, and smiled with his eyes closed as he adjusted his shirt. Without opening his eyes, he turned and moved his right arm out and caught the arrow in his hand.
He walked over to the window and looked down at Wednesday and Mavis as he politely said, "Good shot Wednesday."
Wednesday was shocked that he caught it and Mavis patted her on the head as she said, "Don't feel bad. It took me ninety years before I finally managed to hit him, and even then I think he let me do it."
Dracula turned into a bat and flew down to them before changing back as he said, "You're not the first human to try and kill me, and you probably won't be the last."
He gave Wednesday back her arrow while she said, "I see that I am no Abraham Van Helsing."
Dracula was surprised as he thought out loud and looked at Mavis as he said, "Van Helsing? That's a name I haven't heard in a long time, since before you were born Mavis."
Mavis smiled while Wednesday said, "I read about him in many novels about you. He tried to kill you many times."
Dracula looked up in space with an annoyed expression as he said, "Yeah, that guy was annoying. He was obsessed with trying to kill monsters, especially me. I beat him over and over again but he kept coming back for more, just like his father, his grandfather, his great-great-grandma… I beat every single one of them but they never learned."
Wednesday was not amused as she said, "It sounds like he came from a long line of pathetic failures."
Dracula looked up in annoyance but then smiled down at her as he said, "Oh you don't know the half of it. But if he was more like you I might've had something to worry about."
Wednesday started walking back to the hotel as she said, "Thank you count. That's kind of you to say."
Dracula and Mavis both happily watched Wednesday walk back to the hotel and Dracula said, "She reminds me of you when you were that age."
Mavis smiled back at him as she said, "Yeah, me too."
Dracula looked up in thought as he said, "And the boy has a lot of spunk for a human."
Mavis looked up and smiled as she thought out loud, "Yeah. I hope one day Johnny and I have great kids like them."
Dracula smiled as he pointed at her and said, "Ho ho ho, I know that you'll make a great mother one day."
She was flattered as she said, "Thanks dad. I hope I'll be as good as mom, or Morticia."
Dracula smiled confidently as he said, "I'm sure you will."
Wednesday overheard them talking and became intrigued as she continued inside, getting an idea as she proceeded. Meanwhile, Itt and Fester were sitting in the hotel lobby with Griffin, Murray, and Wayne; he spoke his strange gibberish and the others all started laughing.
They laughed hard as Wayne said, "That's a good one!"
Murray fell out of his chair as he happily said, "I did not see that coming!"
Griffin finished laughing and said, "That's hilarious!"
Fester did not laugh as he moved his hand to refer to Cousin Itt and happily said, "I never understand a word that guy says."
Meanwhile Grandmama was walking through a hallway but stopped when Wayne and Wanda's werewolf children came swarming in front of her. They swarmed past her, fighting and biting each other while wreaking havoc in the hall as Grandmama watched nervously. She wanted to get past them but the hundreds of young werewolves would not be going anywhere soon.
Suddenly Winnie came and yelled, "Stop!"
All of her siblings immediately stopped and Winnie took Grandmama's hand and walked her across the hall, past the other werewolf kids. They came to the door on the other side of the hall and stepped through, then the other werewolf children went back to causing trouble.
Grandmama smiled as she patted Winnie's head, reached into her pocket, and gave her a treat as she said, "Good girl. Way to assert yourself as the leader of the pack. Here, have a pigeon wing."
Winnie gasped in delight and happily ate the pigeon wing and happily said, "Thank you."
Grandmama turned and proceed on her way while Winnie happily watched her before leaving to go join her siblings. Meanwhile Johnny was helping a zombie bellhop push a luggage cart that was loaded with a bunch of heavy suitcases.
They had a hard time pushing the cart toward a room as Johnny grunted and said, "Those gremlins sure don't believe in traveling light!"
The zombie bellhop was groaning as they kept slowly pushing through the hallway; suddenly they started moving faster. Johnny was shocked as the cart felt much lighter, and he looked up to see Lurch standing over him, pushing on the luggage cart. The zombie fell to the floor and fell to pieces as Lurch stepped on him twice before proceeding.
Lurch and Johnny reached the room and Johnny smiled up at him and gratefully said, "Whew! Thanks Alfred."
Lurch groaned before he turned and left, Johnny looked down at the zombie's head and said, "If only Drac could get him to work here."
The next day the Addams Family did various other activities at the hotel and had fun with the other guests. After breakfast they went to the pool again and had fun as they swam and played dangerous games involving weapons. Afterwards Wednesday came to a fish tank in the restaurant and watched as a bunch of piranhas eat all the meat off a whole turkey, leaving only the bones. Kitty Kat went to one of Wayne and Wanda's sons and growled at him threateningly, but then the rest of the werewolf pups showed up and started growling at him. Kitty Kat whimpered in fear before he took off running as the hundreds of werewolf pups started chasing him, but then he ran past Pugsley. Pugsley saw all the werewolf pups coming and smiled evilly; they all ran at him growling and barking as they prepared to attack. Pugsley smiled evilly as he pulled out his slingshot and started launching explosives at the werewolf pups. They scattered and dodged all the bombs as they blew up, then Pugsley blew a hole in the wall and all of the werewolf pups ran outside.
Pugsley smiled as he watched them run and joked, "Who let the dogs out?"
Meanwhile Fester was going to get some food from the buffet when he joined Murray and they both enjoyed some beetles. Wednesday was walking through the hall with Socrates on her shoulder when they approached Eunice.
Wednesday stopped when Eunice looked in her compact mirror and said, "Aww no! I forgot my eyeshadow! Now what'll I do?!"
Wednesday pointed at her and Socrates squirted ink on Eunice's face; she whipped it off most of her face and smiled at her reflection.
Wednesday started to walk away when Eunice gratefully said, "Much better! Thanks Wednesday."
Wednesday walked away with a blank expression as she said, "I know a thing or two about keeping up appearances. If looks could kill you'd all be dead."
Eunice chuckled and walked down the hall happily while Wednesday proceeded on her way to find Mavis.
She came up to Mavis' bedroom door and stopped as the shrunken head said, "Hey kid, whatcha doing here?"
Wednesday looked at her with a blank expression and asked, "Is Mavis in?"
The shrunken head then shouted, "Mavis, someone's here for you!"
Mavis curiously opened her door and looked down at Wednesday, she smiled and said, "Wednesday! What are you doing here?"
She looked up at Mavis and asked, "May I come in?"
Mavis stepped aside and held her left arm out as she politely said, "Sure. Come on in."
Wednesday entered her room and Mavis closed the door as Wednesday curiously glanced around at her room.
She was interested as she said, "So this is your room?"
She looked at Mavis, who walked up the wall and onto the ceiling while she said, "Yeah. It's not much but it's homey."
Wednesday looked at Mavis' bed and curiously said, "So… You sleep on this bed?"
Mavis hopped down from the ceiling and lifted the lid to reveal it was a coffin and she replied, "Well, actually I sleep inside it."
Wednesday looked inside the coffin and said, "It looks uncomfortable."
Mavis smiled as she sat in the coffin and happily said, "Oh it is. When I sleep in it I have some of the best nightmares."
Wednesday was intrigued as she said, "Really?"
She turned around and put Socrates on a dresser while Mavis climbed out her coffin and asked, "How did you know which room I lived in?"
Wednesday looked at her with a creepy smile as she said, "Yesterday, after dinner, I wanted to know where you slept so I followed you to your room."
Mavis showed a flattered smile as she said, "Aww, that's cute. So what brings you here?"
Wednesday pointed at Mavis and said, "I want you to bite me."
Mavis was shocked as she exclaimed, "What?!"
Wednesday pointed at the side of her neck and said, "I want you to bite my neck and suck my blood so that I can be a vampire."
Mavis was almost speechless as she said, "You want to become a vampire?!"
Wednesday nodded and looked up with her arms out as she said, "Yes, now bite me! Turn me into a creature of the night!"
Mavis was very concerned when suddenly she heard a knocking on her and said, "Come in."
The door opened and Morticia walked in and said, "Ah Wednesday, there you are."
Wednesday looked at her and curiously asked, "Mother, what are you doing here?"
Morticia smiled down at her and said, "I saw you sneak out of the dining room and I wanted to make sure you were up to something. Now what's going on?"
Wednesday pointed at Mavis and replied, "I was just asking Mavis to bite my neck."
Mavis looked at Morticia and nervously said, "I wasn't going to! She wants…"
She was interrupted when Morticia chuckled and smiled at Wednesday as she said, "You want to become a vampire. How cute. I wanted the same thing when I was your age. Wednesday, I know how you feel. I know what it's like to want to be undead."
Wednesday stared into space in thought as she said, "To have such unholy powers! To be able to turn into a bat, to hypnotize with my eyes, to walk on walls and ceilings, to drink the blood of my victims, and to be immortal!"
Morticia sat down and calmly explained, "Yes, I know it seems perfect but afterlife as a vampire is not all it's cracked up to be. Yes they have horrifying powers, but there are also downsides to it. If you become a vampire then you can't have garlic anymore and the sunlight will destroy you."
Mavis closed her eyes and held her left palm up as she calmly explained, "Yeah, and we don't really drink blood anyway. Human blood is so fatty and you never know where it's been. We just drink either near-blood or blood beaters."
Morticia pointed at the mirror and said, "Also, if you become a vampire you won't have a reflection anymore."
Wednesday turned around and looked in the mirror, she saw herself and her mother, but she could not see Mavis.
Wednesday looked back at them and said, "I see. You're right mother. The price is too high. Being a vampire would make me much more dangerous, but I would have to give up too much. I am terrifying just the way I am."
Morticia smiled proudly as she poked her finger out and said, "Exactly."
Mavis let out a heavy sigh of relief while Morticia stood up and Wednesday said, "Forgive me Mavis. I thought being like you would make worse, but I now see that I just need to be myself."
Mavis showed a flattered smile and forgave her as she said, "It's okay Wednesday. You know what they say: the fog is always thicker on the other side."
Morticia nodded in agreement as she and Wednesday left Mavis' room while she waved "goodbye" to them. The next day, after a long day of torture and fright, it was time for the party that Dracula had announced. The whole Addams Family entered the party room and everyone looked at them and watched them walk through the crowd.
They came to the front of the crowd and glanced around as Frank happily said, "Hey look. It's the Addams Family."
Morticia, Gomez, and Grandmama all happily waved at some of the other guests when Dracula walked up to a microphone.
He then regretfully said, "Attention everyone, I'm afraid I have some bad news. The Rolling Bones' van broke down and they can't make it, so we have no band."
Mavis and Johnny were both shocked as they exclaimed, "What?!"
The other guests started booing while Dracula tried to calm down as he said, "I know, I know. I'm sorry. I know it's short notice but I think we can still throw something together."
As the crowd grew restless Morticia thought and looked around when she spotted an organ at the back of the room.
Morticia then whistled and smiled up at Lurch as she said, "Lurch, would you please?"
Lurch groaned as he walked over to the organ and immediately started playing, and everyone loved his music as they started dancing.
Dracula smiled happily as he went to the Addams Family and smiled at Morticia as he said, "Thank you!"
Soon they were all dancing to "Crazy Family" and they had a great party with music that was loud enough to wake the dead. Morticia danced with Gomez while Mavis danced with Johnny before being joined by Dracula. He cut between them, Mavis was annoyed but smiled as the three of them had fun dancing together. Griffin danced with Itt while Wayne and Wanda danced together with Thing dancing on the floor by their feet. Frank and Eunice danced together behind Lurch while he kept playing the organ and they cheered for him. Fester was happily dancing with Murray while Grandmama danced with three witch maids, showing much spirit despite her old age. Pugsley and Wednesday danced to the music with some of Wayne and Wanda's children; Pugsley showed off his moves to the boys while Wednesday had a small smile as she danced with Winnie. The hotel had a great party thanks to the Addams Family and everyone had a great time as they danced with the strange human family. The next day, it was early in the evening, the sun had just gone down, and the zombie bellhops brought the Addams Family's luggage to their car. They were getting ready to leave when Dracula and the others came out to say "goodbye".
Dracula smiled politely as he said, "So, I guess this is goodbye."
Gomez walked up to him as he happily said, "Yes, thank you. We had a horrible time. No matter hard we try, we will never forget this."
Dracula was flattered as he said, "Thank you."
Wednesday joined the as she said, "Goodbye Count Dracula."
He smiled down at her as he said, "Goodbye Wednesday."
She turned and walked away and Dracula smiled at Gomez as he said, "You have a great family."
Gomez smiled proudly as he said, "Yes, I'm very unlucky."
Wednesday went up to Johnny and Mavis and said, "Goodbye Mavis."
Mavis smiled as she patted Wednesday's head and said, "Goodbye Wednesday."
Wednesday glanced at Dracula and said, "Your father is truly terrible."
Mavis nodded and smiled proudly as she said, "I know."
Lurch passed by Frankenstein, who raised his hand and happily said, "See you around Lurch."
He looked at him and groaned as he continued toward the car, Pugsley looked and saw some of Wayne and Wanda's kids. He smiled deviously as he pulled out a dead rat and threw at them, and they all started fighting over it.
Fester was with Murray, who happily said, "If you're ever in Egypt, stop my tomb on the north side of the Nile."
Fester smiled and walked away while saying, "Sounds great. I haven't gone graverobbing in years. Bye."
Cousin Itt was with Griffin as he said something in his strange gibberish, and Griffin said, "Yeah, it's been fun. See you around."
The Addams Family all loaded into their car and Morticia waved at everyone as she shouted, "Goodbye."
They all waved back at them and Gomez rolled down his window and smiled evilly as he said, "We'll be back, and we won't be alone."
They drove off through the haunted forest and Dracula happily said, "There goes a very special family."
Johnny smiled and nodded as he said, "Yeah."
Author's note: I wanted to post this before Halloween, and it I think it turned out great. I'm sure a lot of you are disappointed that I didn't put Dennis in this. I wanted to set this story after the first movie but before the second movie, I thought it would be better and it would be a nice way to foreshadow events of the second movie. Please review.
