Talking aloud to self

Early the next morning we see a space blanket. The camera moves up the blanket to the head of the bed. We can see Jammy asleep with Goddard curled up next to her. The two looking peaceful until a voice is heard.

Alarm clock: Liftoff in five, four, three, two... We have liftoff!

We see a rocket ship alarm clock. It rings at 7:30. Jammy stirs from her sleep. We see her pajamas are red t-shirt with an atom on it and blue sleeves and red pajama pants.

Jammy: Abort mission. (Jammy rubs the sleep from her eyes.) Abort mission. (She slams her hand on the top of the ship to shut off the alarm.)

Jammy: Goddard, wake mode. (Jammy turns to Goddard from her position on the bed. Goddard wakes up from his sleep.) Morning, bud. Did you sleep well? (She pets Goddard who gives her hand a few licks sleepily.) That's good, boy.

Jammy gets up from bed and stretches.

Jammy: All right. Come on, boy. Race you to the kitchen.

Jammy raises her arms up like an airplane and runs from the room giggling. Goddard jumps from the bed and barks playfully at her. Jammy rushes around the corner to the stairs and jumps on the railing to slide down it. Goddard is hot on her heals. Jammy laughs aloud determined to beat Goddard. Running into the kitchen, Jammy decides to use her socks to slide to the fridge to slow down. She barely beat Goddard to the kitchen first.

Jammy: Beat ya. (Jammy opens the fridge seeing what all there was.) Hey, Mama, did you get any more Purple Flurp? (Not hearing any movement or a response she calls again.) Mama! (She calls a little worried since her parents are always up before her.)

She closes the fridge door, a touch sad that it seemed that her mom was ignoring her. Jammy then notices a piece of paper attached to the fridge door. She removes the magnet and grabs the letter. Jammy begins to read the letter aloud.

Jammy: "Dear son/daughter..."

We see a close-up of the letter, tilting down slowly as it is read.

Jammy: "We have gone to Florida for an extended vacation."

Carla: "Love, your parents."

We see Sheena on the street, with the same letter Jammy and Carla have.

Sheena: Yeah! My parents went to Florida, too! (Sheena points to the letter in her hand.)

Jammy: That's weird. (She looks at some kids in the street, all with the same letter that Jammy and her friends have before them. All of the kids are all looking around for their parents.) From the look of it, I'd say a lot of parents are gone.

Carla: Well, uh... did they all go to Florida?

Sheena: Maybe they went to get juice or something? (Sheena tries to joke to lighten the mood a little.)

Carla: I don't digest pulp well. It makes me bloaty.

Jammy turns to Goddard and states in a serious tone.

Jammy: Goddard, scan for adult life-forms.

Goddard raises a satellite from his back that spins in a circle trying to collect data. He lifts his chest panel showing a scan of all of Retroville for adults. While looking at the screen, no adults can be found.

Jammy: Just as I thought. There are absolutely no adults anywhere within radar. They're gone! (Jammy turns to look at her friends, they all looked a little sullen.) The whole city! No parents!

Carla: No parents. (Carla says sadly.)

Sheena: Hmmmm...

The three of them gasp suddenly, realizing their wish came true. Their eyes twinkled in delight believing that everyone's parents were only gone for the day, see as the letter seemed to be more like a joke.

Jammy, Carla, and Sheena: NO PARENTS! (The girls cheer together.)

They, followed by the other kids run off, celebrating.

The screen then shows a 50 foot stacked ice cream cone. The camera pans downward showing other kids having similarly stacked cones walking through the town. Jammy is riding on Goddard in his scooter form in the middle of the road. She passes by a boy with an enormously stacked ice cream.

Jammy: Excuse me. (Goddard barks in warning. The boy gets startled from Jammy's passing, falling on his butt, and dropping his ice cream.)

We then see different kids breaking rules that their parents had. A blonde haired girl with glasses is seen in her kitchen leaving the fridge open.

Amber: I'm letting out the cold! (She cheers.)

We then switch over to Sheena's house. In Sheena's bedroom is adorned with Ultra Lord collectibles. She has posters on every wall with a bookcase full of action figures. On her bed is an Ultra Lord blanket that says, "Hero in the making". We see Sheena jumping on her bed while wearing her Ultra mask.

Sheena: I'm jumping on my bed!

The streets of town are baren of its usual car traffic. Cars still parked on the curbs or in their driveways. The petting zoo animals from Retroland stampede the empty road. Several llamas are seen congregated together as they run free. On top of one of the llamas we see an ecstatic Carla as the llamas head closer to town.

Carla: Weeeeeeee! Llama, llama, llama!

A bunch of kids are seen swarming into the Retroville mall. At the arcade, Nick has a sucker in his mouth and hits one of the machines starting up the whole arcade. Kids flock in beginning to play the games. In the middle of the mall a boy is messing around on the escalator.

Boy in hat: I'm walking up the down escalator! (He shouts as he tries to run up the down escalator.)

A boy wearing a checkered shirt, green vest, blue pants with a brown boot, and a white dress shoe is shown. He is standing in front of Retro Gear clothing store.

Boy in mismatched outfit: My clothes don't match! I'm out in public and my clothes don't match! (He dances around in defiance.)

We now see someone knocking on a white door. The door opens to show Sydney appearing. He looks around confused before seeing a gift for him. Attached to the gift is tag saying 'To: Sydney, From: Your Secret Admirer'. The camera pans upward to show Jammy's "boy-eating" plant. The plant snarls at Sydney before playfully snapping at him. Terrified thinking the plant was going to eat him, Sydney lets out a girlish scream before slamming the door shut. Jammy and Carla then pop up from the bushes of Sydney's house laughing as the plant gives Jammy a 'thumb's' up.

Carla: That outta teach him a thing or two about teasing you. (Carla nudges Jammy with her elbow gently.)

Jammy: Yeah, you're right. Maybe next time he'll actually think twice before doing so. (Jammy giggles in delight.)

We are now shown a colorful little store called the Candy Bar. Many kids are outside eating a variety of candies. Jammy uses Goddard's scooter mode to drive up to the front doors. Once there Jammy steps off of Goddard who then reverts back to his normal self. Jammy and Goddard walk into the Candy Bar and are greeted by a tall hostess girl.

Hostess: Welcome to the Candy Bar. Whoopee cushion or non-whoopee cushion? (She gestures with her hands to each direction to show the separation. Jammy looks to the Whoopee Section where kids are bouncing on Whoopee cushions. A voice calls to her.)

Carla: Jammy! (Jammy turns to look towards the non-whoopee cushion and sees her friends. They are both dancing on top of the table. Smiling towards her friends she runs off to join them. Goddard barks and stays on Jammy's heals. Jammy and Goddard reach the table as Brandon shows up.)

Brandon: What'll it be, girls? (Brandon crosses his arms over his chest. A pie is then flung hitting Carla in the face. She smacks her lips tasting the pie.)

Carla: We'll have what he's throwing. (She says pointing in the direction the pie came from.)

Brandon: Excellent choice. (Brandon states while pulling two pies out from behind his back. He throws one at each of the girls in front of him.)

Goddard barks playfully wanting in on the action before licking at Jammy's pie covered face.

Jammy: Goddard! No! Bad dog! Sit, stay, heal! (Jammy giggles the whole time as her friends clean off their pie covered faces laughing as well.)

The screen now shows all the kids heading to the school. Inside a boy in fishing waders has the water fountain on causing there to about two feet of water to be in the school. One boy is paddling across the water as Sydney is shown driving a jet ski with Bertie is water skiing.

Sydney: Hang on!

Miss. Fowl sees the jet skiing and calls out.

Miss. Fowl: No skiing in the halls! (Miss. Fowl shouts before she hears the worm growl and readies herself with a toothpick to fight back.) Don't make me get the protractor. (She jabs her 'spear' at the worm.)

The "no parents" party has moved to the school were all the kids are now gathered together. Jammy is seen raising the flag but instead of a flag we see a pink t-shirt that says "Girlz Rule". Carla, Sheena, and a few other girls salute the 'flag'. A popcorn cart has been brought near the entrance of the school. The top of it has been removed so popcorn can fly out of it. The school is seen as a 'winter wonderland' covered in popcorn. Two girls make a 'snowman' while two boys go sledding.

It's now nighttime at the school. Bertie is DJing as Jammy, and her friends dance in front of lights. Carla takes a bite from her hamburger then a donut alternating between the two. Sheena is drinking two sodas at once. Jammy has sausage links wrapped around her head, a cookie monocle and is drinking a soda. Fireworks are let off as the whole kiddom is seen dancing in front of the school.

The screen goes black.

While the screen is still black we hear intense sniffing as Jammy opens her eyes. A close up of Goddard is seen before he licks her head. Jammy is seen lying on the stairs of the school, food and trash covering the ground.

Jammy: Morning, Goddard. (Jammy groans as she sits up. She puts a hand to her head trying to help her sugar induced hangover headache.) My head. What a night. (She then hears Carla groaning and looks over. Carla is by the lamppost; cupcake wrappers littered on the ground around her.)

Carla: I'm stuffed now. I couldn't have ano... OK, one more. I'm gonna have one more and then that'll be it. (Carla reaches for one and 'eats' a cupcake even though she's holding none.)

We then pan over to a huge popcorn hill. Sheena pops her head out of it groaning.

Sheena: What a battle. Muy destuctivo. Are there any survivors? (Sheena falls back into the popcorn still full from last night. She manages to raise her hand out and speaks up.) Ayudame.

We now focus back on Jammy who is leaving the school clutching her stomach and walking unsteadily. She looks sickly as her hair droops slightly and she has to refrain from puking. Nick is seen leaning against the statue the school has with is sucker in his mouth. He looks perfectly find having known his own personal limit. Nick notices Jammy walking by and removes the sucker from his mouth.

Nick: I remember my first time. Shake it off, Jamicakes. (Nick laughs obnoxiously, but then switches gears knowing an opportunity has struck.) Seriously though, you want me to walk you home.

He starts walking up to her, his hand reaching out to grab hers. Goddard seeing this steps in between Nick and Jammy and growls lowly at Nick. Jammy not being in it, didn't notice what had just happened. Nick backs away from Jammy slightly fearful of Goddard before speaking up.

Nick: Never mind I just thought of something I forgot to do. See you later, Jamicakes. (He turns away before trying to nonchalantly run off. Goddard barks in approval that his master doesn't have to deal with that idiot. Jammy looks back towards Nick confused.)

Jammy: What just happened? (Jammy turns to look at Goddard, still looking sickly. She shakes her head refocusing on what she was doing beforehand.) Oh well, I gotta get home. Mom and Dad might be back by now. (She starts gesturing with her hands for Goddard to follow her. Her steps still a little shaky.) Come on, Goddard. (Goddard barks in agreeance as he walks up beside Jammy keeping her steady. The camera then zooms out to show that the schoolyard is completely trashed from last night's party.)

Jammy makes her way walking through town, once again holding her stomach. Goddard walks beside her sluggishly, sad that his master is feeling bad. They start to pass by a bunch of TVs. The TVs flicker on, catching her attention. She stops walking to watch the kids news. We see Oleander sitting at the reporters desk reading a special report.

Oleander: We interrupt this program to bring you this report. (Arnie messes with the camera.) Hey, knock it off, Arnie. (Arnie stops and then the camera focus closer in on Oleander.) "Trouble in Paradise." That's what some kids are saying in the aftermath of yesterday's (The camera in the studio begins to drift away from Oleander causing him to shift with the camera while speaking.) "Mom and Dad are gone" celebrations. Here's Courtney Tyler.

The news switches over to Courtney Tyler in the park which is also trashed.

Courtney: What started as an awesome day has become, like, a real bummer.

Some kids begin running around in a panic. No longer liking the 'no parents' thing.

Red head boy: Help us!

Brown haired boy: I don't know how to make lunch. I want my parents.

The red headed boy from earlier runs up to the camera grabbing it and shakes it a little.

Red head boy: Somebody hold me. (The boy exclaims in desperation and panic.)

The news camera then shows Nissa on the ground holding her knee. Courtney holds the microphone to her so she can tell what happened.

Nissa: I was playing on the teeter totter and the next thing I knew I was on the ground and my knee hurt! (She says in pain as tears stream down her face.)

Courtney is back at the park again reporting.

Courtney: Reports of tummy aches, owies and constipation have reached epidemic numbers over the past few hours, with little indication of slowing down. (Courtney walks away to where Zachary is sitting on the sidewalk near a cotton candy cart.)

Zachary: And so we were gonna see who could eat the most cotton candy. And I won. (He sniffles before he starts to cry.) I want my mommy. (Zachary burps causing his shirt to tear a little.)

The camera once again shifts to the park. Courtney rubbing her nose a bit trying to look strong. Her voice begins to crack.

Courtney: So, there you have it. (Courtney starts to frown as her eyes become glossy and her lip trembles.) I want my mommy, too. (Courtney breaks down crying.)
