Talking aloud to self
The ship flies away from the despicable planet. Inside the command center the group of friends exclaim in delight. They are overjoyed that they have escaped. Jammy and Sydney hug in celebration before quickly breaking apart, a slight blush on both of their cheeks. Thankfully no one saw them as the others celebrate. Bertie and Sheena hi-five. Carla was about to get up from her seat to join the celebration before she noticed several dots appearing on her screen. She calls out in fear.
Carla: Jammy, here they come!
Jammy looks to her screen to see what Carla was talking about. She grits her teeth in frustration. Dozens of Yokian ships come from the planet, hot on their tail.
King Goobot: Time to discipline the naughty children. (Goobot states gleeful.) Open fire. (He commands.)
All of the Yokian ships power up their weapons. Each one firing upon the escaping ship. Jammy maneuvers the ship away from the hits bombarding them. She looks out the window frantic for a solution to their dilemma. She notices a sun dead ahead, an idea pops to her head.
Jammy: OK, who wants fried chicken? (She calls out determined.)
Jammy slams her foot down on the 'accelerator' of the ship. They take off for the sun. Once within range, Jammy causes them to circle the sun. Several flares come off of the sun hitting the ships above. Nearly all of the Yokian ships were destroyed by the insidious flames. The only ones to remain were King Goobot's ship and Jammy's.
King Goobot: So, Neutron, now it's just you and I. All weapons online.
King Goobot's ship powers up all weapons. He targets the sole ship, determined to shoot them down and regain the lost sacrifice.
Sheena: Ultra Lord is not afraid of chickens. He is not afraid... (Sheena sings as one of the weapons hit the side of Jammy's ship causing the ship to jolt a little. Several more blasts are fired in their direction.) He may be a little bit afraid of chickens. (She says in sing-songy fear.)
Jammy tries to increase speed, but the ship has already hit max speed.
Jammy: This thing's too slow. I... I can't outrun 'em. (Jammy says worried.)
Sydney looks to Jammy in concern. Bertie on comms hears that they are being hailed. He turns to Jammy speaking up.
Berty: Incoming message.
Jammy: On screen.
The window switches to show King Goobot sitting in his throne-like chair of his ship. He holds himself in a cocky, pretentious way. He starts speaking in a childish holier-than-thou way.
King Goobot: You see, Jammy, you can't win. All of your friends and family would be safe at home, if it wasn't for one little problem. (He stresses little very smugly.) You.
Jammy puffs out her red tinted cheeks.
Jammy: Little? (She states insulted.)
King Goobot: Now you all must die! (Goobot laughs evilly.)
Jammy: Little, huh? I'll show you little. (Jammy says exasperated as she jumps from her seat. She calls to Sydney before going to leave.) Sydney, take over. Come on, boy.
Sydney gets up from his seat and moves to the now open chair. He starts to drive the ship. Sydney shouts to Jammy over his shoulder.
Sydney: What are you doing? Is this one of those feminine things? (Sydney questions as he glances over to Jammy.)
Jammy stops and turns back to look Sydney in the eye. Goddard waits outside the door for Jammy.
Jammy: No. This is personal. I have to do this. Redeem myself for causing this mess. Goobot needs to be taught a lesson and I'm the only one who can do it. I have a plan but just in case, no matter what happens, keep heading for Earth.
Sydney nodded his head focusing back on driving. Jammy turns to leave again and makes it out of the door when a hand shoots out and grabs her wrist. She looked up to see who it was, come to find that both Carla and Sheena were there with Goddard waiting patiently between them. Carla has a gentle but firm grip on her as she pulls Jammy off to the side.
Carla: What do you think you're doing?
Carla releases her grip from Jammy looking at her friend in confusion.
Sheena: Yeah, you think we'd let you go on your own, chica? Think again! Nadie se queda atrás!
Tears come to Jammy's eyes from being so moved by her friends. When she was younger she never thought that she'd have friends who would stay true to her and be there if she ever needed anything. She always thought it just be her and Goddard. Looking at the two girls she became best friends with three years ago, she knows that there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. Their words solidify what Jammy knows she has to do.
Jammy: You guys are the best friends ever, but it has to be me. Alone. No one else. I love you both, but this is my fault. I made the satellite. I tried to contact aliens. I showed them my parents. They took everyone's parents because of me. It's my mess to fix. Please don't follow me.
Carla and Sheena look between each other before glancing at Jammy's pleading expression.
Sheena: Fine! But we no nos gusta.
Carla: Friends by chance. Sisters by choice!
Jammy: Thank you. Could... could you guys do me a favor? (Carla and Sheena stay silent a moment as they glance between each other before nodding slightly.) If something does go wrong, tell my parents I love them and that I'm sorry.
Carla: We will but nothing will happen.
Sheena: You're too smart. Muy inteligente. Goobot won't stand a chance.
Jammy hugs her friends before heading for one of the pod ejectors with Goddard in tow. Goddard and Jammy arrive at a platform that takes them down to the bottom of the ship. Jammy kneels down beside Goddard.
Jammy: I know we haven't field-tested this feature yet, but we've no choice, buddy. (She says with slight trepidation in her voice. Jammy pets Goddard's snout lovingly as they jump out an escape chute.) Goddard, flycycle!
Goddard converts to his new flycycle mode. He flies underneath the chute Jammy is falling from. She lands directly on the seat that she installed on Goddard. Jammy twists on the handlebars of Goddard, revving him up. The camera turns to show the backside of Goddard who now has a license plate that says, 'BAD DOG'. Jammy and Goddard fly towards King Goobot's ship. His ship retracts the weapons powering down.
On King Goobot's screen he sees Jammy flying towards them upon Goddard.
King Goobot: Would you look at this? I do believe she's going to ram us, Ooblar. Remind me to clean the windshield later. (Goobot says in a snobby tone.)
Jammy flies towards the ship as though playing a game of chicken. Each one of the 'vehicles' closing the distance. A determined look is on Jammy's face.
Jammy: You steal my parents; you threaten my dog...
King Goobot begins dancing around playfully as he insults Jammy.
King Goobot: Itsy bitsy Jammy Neutron!
Ooblar hops over in his bucket and joins in with King Goobot.
Ooblar: She does look a bit small and silly, doesn't she, sire?
Jammy: You attack my friends, and you make fun of my size!
The two Yokians continue to make fun of Jammy's size.
King Goobot: Tiny, tiny!
Ooblar: So, so tiny!
Jammy: Well I may be small, but I've got a big brain!
Jammy sets her shrink ray to 'Planet Size', then zaps herself. Both her and Goddard grow to the size of a planet, making Goobot's ship look miniscule in comparison. Jammy's eyes completely fill the window of the ship. The two Yokians exclaim in fear.
King Goobot: Argh!
Ooblar: Not tiny!
The tiny ship stops in front of the huge Jammy. King Goobot realizes he tried to bite off more than he could chew. He attempts to blow off the whole ordeal.
King Goobot: Can't we just call this whole thing a mistake and go back to your plan - rendezvous for universal brotherhood and whatnot? (He chuckles nervously.)
Knowing the gesture was a farce, Jammy blows Goobot's ship away sending it into an asteroid where it explodes. In the command center, you can see Jammy's friends cheer for her. Goobot calls out his vengeance to Jammy.
King Goobot: You've not seen the last of us, Jammy Neutron!
We see King Goobot floating in space. His gelatinous form completely exposed. Jammy flies by Goobot causing the exhaust of Goddard's flycycle mode to hit King Goobot, resulting in him looking like a fried egg. Still in his bucket, Ooblar passes by Goobot and gives him a compliment.
Ooblar: You look marvelous sunny-side up, sire. That's no yolk.
Jammy flies side-by-side with the ship her friends are on. She maneuvers closer where her eye takes up one of the window panels. All of her friends in the command center cheer once more.
Sheena: All right, Jammy! Good job! (Sheena calls out while pressing several buttons to check their eta.) Orbiting around Jammy's big head. Estimated time to ear: Seven minutes.
We see the ship that Jammy and her friends took to save their parents, flying in space. The camera pans inward fading to a room with all the parents and their kids. The door opens revealing Jammy and Goddard, who have shrunk back to their proper size. Jammy enters the room where she sees Sydney coming towards her. He shoves his hands into his pants pockets looking a little uncomfortable.
Sydney: So, I guess I can't call you short any more. (Sydney says a little nervous.)
Jammy: Don't worry. I'm sure there are all kinds of other insults you can come up with. (Jammy says happily, glad that their 'enemy' status towards each other has now gone to 'rivals'.)
Jammy walks off glancing around the room seeing the many happy reunions. What she doesn't see is before Sydney returns to his parents is that he was watching her go, having an inner war. Eventually he shrugs it off, turning back to his parents, giving them both a huge hug.
Jammy sees Carla with her parents Ebenezer and Martha. A peaceful look on her face. Her mom rubs her stomach, singing to her while her dad cleans off his glasses. He then places a loving hand on Carla's back rubbing gentle circles.
Ebenezer: Let me tell you, as soon as we get home, we're going out dancing! (He tells Carla before jumping onto the bench and starts to dance.)
Carla's mom shields Carla's eyes from her dad's "dance moves".
Jammy looks the other way and sees Sheena with her dad, Harp Estevez. She has her Ultra Lord mask on her forehead. Her dad has a similar mask, but his is on his face.
Sheena: Ultra Papá! (Sheena says while spreading her arms out, with a goofy grin across her face.)
Harp: Ultra Hija! (Harp responds as he picks up his daughter, hugging her close to him.)
Jammy keeps walking through the crowd, looking for her parents. A slight frown present on her face, not yet seeing her own parents. She casts her gaze to the ground. She is happy that everyone else is with their parents but can't help but be saddened that she is not with hers. She hears a girl call out to her dad.
Random kid: Dad! Daddy!
Jammy glances upward and sees Nick with his mom. Nick calls to her.
Nick: Hey, Jamicakes. Nice job. (He hands her his half-sucked sucker as a reward.) Maybe when we get back to Earth, we can hang out. (Nick offers while giving Jammy a wink and a charming smirk.)
Jammy: Thanks (Jammy says at Nick's statement but plasters a fake smile on her face slightly grossed out by the sucker. She grabs it from Nick to be polite.), and I'll think about it, ok?
Nick nods at the consideration and turns back to his mom. Jammy walks away from the two. When she's sure Nick isn't looking she gags a little and drops the sucker to the ground while rubbing her hand against her pant leg. She keeps walking, scanning the crowd for her parents when she hears her fathers' voice. Goddard's head perks up at the sound. Jammy turns and finally sees them.
Hugh: I've got that for you, dear. (Hugh states while removes the mind controlling helmet from Judy. He places it on the bench they are sitting on.)
Jammy runs to her parents as hard as she can, tears streaming down her face. Goddard matches her pace as they make it to the two parents.
Jammy: Mama! Daddy! (She hugs her parents tight, happy that they're safe. She then breaks away slightly from the hug, sitting on the bench, so she can speak.) I'm so sorry! I should have listened to you when you said don't talk to strangers. None of this would have happened if I had listened. I thought that I was smart enough to do everything on my own, that I didn't need your help. That I could make you proud! But I was wrong, and I screwed up again. I love you guys so much! (Jammy sobs while speaking, her voice cracking all the way. She hides her face in her hands looking down. Goddard walks over placing his head on her knee in comfort.)
Hugh and Judy: We love you too, Jammy. (They wrap their arms around her shoulder giving a side hug. Jammy sobs quieted slightly but her head remained covered not entirely believing her parents caring words.)
Goddard moves to sit at Jammy's feet so Judy can have better access to comfort Jammy.
Judy: Sweetie (Judy lifts Jammy's head up so that she is looking at her daughter. She brushes away the tears that leak from her daughter's red eyes.) you didn't screw up. You made a mistake and learned from it. We don't blame you at all. You're such a special girl. Having a genius for a daughter may not always be easy, but it's always interesting. You make us so proud.
She looks to Jammy lovingly. Jammy rubs her eyes, removing the rest of her tears. She looks at her mom with a smile, realizing that her mom does understand her, and she is truly proud of her.
Hugh: You sure do, Princess. Your Mom and I love you too much. Nothing you could do would ever stop us from loving you. Your mistakes make you stronger and let you grow. And you know, not every family gets to ride in an alien spaceship, hurtling through the universe at warp speeds, millions of miles from home. We thank you for that. (He says moving his arm to rest his hand atop Jammy's.)
Judy: You gotta admit, that is pretty neat. (Judy admires while booping Jammy on the nose causing a small giggle to escape her lips as her parents join in. Goddard watches the family in contentment.)
The ship is then seen heading off into the distance, back to Earth.
