"I can't believe this is bloody happening…" Annoyed, Ann mutters miserably under her breath brow furrowed fuming from it all, a part of her unable to even believe this was happening and yet here they are, here she stood scowling at the sea ahead as she sees nothing but blue ahead as they take off for their two day trip or so…

"Yes well it is so get used to it." Ann scowls at the familait figure brushing by her as she arches a brow by the object under his arm.

"…Is that a lawn chair?" Confused, Ann eyes said lawn chair under his arm as he sets it down.

"Yes…yes it is. Now don't talk to me until we get there." Tiredly, Kuzan plops himself down on the lawn chair.

"…The urge to punch is so strong…Scowling, Ann raises her furious fist fidgeting fury freely flowing through her, her hue twitching tiredly tense, a part of her pondering how that arm chair will even stay there considering the washing waves, surprised to see said chair not swaying from side to side, how lucky was this guy!?

"I thought you were meant to keep an eye on me?" Mystifed, Ann argues as she furrows her brow down at the fool.

"Do you want me to?" Kuzan stretches out upon said arm chair enjoying the brisk breeze as he pulls the sleeping mask off, his hues meeting her own challenging her almost as she glares down at the ass below brow furrowed about to respond when…

"ARGH sea king!" Alarmed, Anne jolts up at the scared sharp screech from the marines pointing at sea beast before them taking them aback as Ann's hands dart down towards her sword, coiling her fingertips around the sheath scowling. She glares at the beast before her, ignoring the sharp screams of the mortified marines, preparing herself for the fight ahead as she draws out her blade.

Shouldn't you help?" Scowling, she turns to the so called leader of the ship and the marines, responsible for those on board but….

"Got two words for you." Kuzan raises his hand up to her show said fingertips to her, two to be exact.

"I bet they won't be helpful." Anna assumes annoyed as she glares down at the lax fool leant back, sleeping mask still on despite his screaming men and the boisterous beast trying to take a bite out of their ship.

"Your problem." Kuzan answers as Anne glares glowers down at the ass before her.

"I was right." Agitated, Anne curses cross as she strides over to said beast, sword smoothly pulled out glinting gleaming as small sparks play along the slick smooth metal dancing almost as it crawls up and down the blade shining.

"Isn't that…the cursed sword Nariko!"

"One of the cursed blades!"

"They say those that have tried to wield Nariko have ended up dead!"

"Hm-!?" Anne reels her blade back about to end this beasts career when next she knew…

"…Eh?" Anne releases a small breath brow furrowing from the frosty silver sheen spewing out of her lips as she notes the sudden drop in temperature turning towards the frosty figure on the lawn chair.

"The beast has been slain!" Smiling, a marine merrily gasps giddily as Ann stares shocked at the ice encased beast before her.

"Kuzan-sama saved us!" The merry marines cheer beaming brightly at the man forcibly prying his ice encased had from the icy floor below. Brow furrowed, she eyes said ice below noting the trail towards the washing waves of the sea now seeing ice encasing the washing waves leading towards the beast.

"That's Kuzan-sama for you!" The marine merrily cheers oblivious to the ice encasing the side of his face.

"Bastard stole my victory…Anne couldn't help but scowl from the ice encased beast before turning to the man waving his hand trying to brush the ice off him as Ann eyes him. His hue briefly meeting her own but he doesn't say much more simply silently returning to his nap, lowering his sleeping mask to his face.

"Could someone just point me to my room?" Tiredly, Anne sighs softly exasperated etched into her singular sigh.

"Yes mam!" Saluting, a marine nods leading the way.

"Thank you." She nods her head thankful before going inside, going to rest for now until she was needed.

Quietly, Ann leans back on top of the bed, her head touching the framework of said bed as she feels the soft sway of said ship as she turns the page of her book, brow furrowed firmly focused on the content within the ruby red crimson cover of the book. However she soon perks up at the creak of the door making her hand darts down to her sword leant against the bed side.

"The hell are you doing here?" Ann's hues narrow at the tall, towering figure of Kuzan bowing his head as he enters the room, hands shoved into his pockets.

"It's late." Kuzan answers.

"And…?" Ann probes perplexed puzzled even by his aloof answer.

"And I'm going to bed." Kuzan answers.

"Then go to your bed." Bluntly, Ann gestures to the door.

"That is my bed." Bluntly, he points to the bed she was perched upon.

"No this is my bed you're to bunk with the soldiers due to the ship accommodation." Ann answers as she waves him off, the two knew of the situation they had been warned since the other ships had been sent out…

"I outrank you." He points out.

"…I'm the only women on board." Bemused, she smirks back.

"…" Quietly, Kuzan stares down at Ann.

"…" Scowling, Ann glares up at Kuzan.

"It seems we've hit an impasse." Kuzan steps back, gently plopping himself down on the sofa.

"We really haven't." Honestly, Ann eyes the man settling on said sofa.

"I'll sleep on the floor." Frowning, Kuzan rolls turning to the side.

"…You really don't want to sleep with the guys down there do you?" Ann leans back on her bed only to met by still silence seeing said slumbering state of Kuzan.

"And he's already asleep damn he's fast…Internally impressed, Hayami gives him that as she turns the light off, the two heading to bed…

"Papa!" Alarmed, Ann rushes over to the raven haired male's side lurched over on the chair clinging clutching onto it as the coughing continues, hearing his harsh curt coughs, her nose twitching at the sickening stench of iron hanging heavily in the air as she takes note of the shy scarlet specks staining the wooden floorboards below.

"Ann sweetie what are you doing in here?" Hoarsely, he whispers weakly while she hands him a glass of water worriedly while the man simply smiles down at the girl concern clear on her furrowed facial features.

"You're coughing blood again." Anxiously, she points out.

"It's fine sweetheart." Softly, he places his hand on her hair noting the ruby red ribbon keeping her hair up.

"But it's not none of this is fine." Furious, the angry man snaps scowling up at her father smiling sadly down at her.

"Ann…listen to me no matter what happens you must listen to Garp." Resolved, Roger kneels down before the girl confusion clear on her furrowed features from the mention of that loudmouth.

"…Garp?" The young girl furrows her brow by the thought of that loudmouth marine practically obsessed with her father as her father was with him.

"Trust in him as I do." Determined, he tells her his grip tightening around her shoulders scaring her.

"I…I don't understand! Papa-" Anxiously, Anne begin but…

"Ann!" Roger raises his voice to her making her flinch from it, her father had never really raised his voice unless he was serious.

"…" Silently, she stares shakily at him, his hues softening sadly guilt clear on his furrowed features for raising his voice at her but it had to be done…

"Please." Pleadingly, the man begs beseeches the astonished Ann as he places his temple on hers, their temples touching as she sniffles slightly at the tenderness of his tender tone.

"…Okay." Obediently, Ann bows her head, recalling her father's firm words to her…

Shining, the sun shimmers shines down upon the cheering crowd celebrating the death of the accused as amongst the crowd stands the strained smile of a young girl, the brisk breeze brushing through her hair as she has a big broad smile upon her lips despite the tears freely falling from her as soon the crowd disperse and the girl notes the hand tugging at her own.

Her ears ring as the redhead tries talking to her but her ears simply ring roaring in her ears as before she knew it, a tall, towering figure stood over her. She feels a hand slam down upon her shoulder as next she knew, her watery browns stare up at the man with black hair, a familiar scar showing to the side of his temple as next she knew, she no longer wore her pink and browns but instead she wore the whites of a Marine…

Ann scowls at the murky memory filtering in her head jolting up from her bed by the sheer sight of said memory. She holds her head trying to combat against the searing sensation of her tense temple taking note of the shy streams of baby blue descending down as she swiftly swipes it aside as she composes herself. What time was it? She couldn't help but ponder as she looks towards her watch on the counter, taking note of it being 3am…wow that was pretty late for her normal sleeping habits…

Ann couldn't help but feel the sluggish wave of disappointment hit her, 3 she woke up at 3, she must really have been tired. Ann scratches the back of her perky pink locks ruffling them as she decides to start to do some early paperwork. She gets out of her bed and makes her way to her desk unfazed by her disgruntled drained state she sits down slowly turning the lamp on as she begins working or at the least try to…

"You better have a good excuse…" Startled, said woman jolts up at the husky voice, squeaking startled as she practically leaps out of the chair gawking gaping at the man sleeping on said sofa or at the least trying to if not for the fierce feeble flicker of a familiar flame casted between both of them.

"Holy shit! You're still here!?" Taken aback, Ann gawks gapes at the calm cool composed Kuzan simply sat slouched on said sofa as Ann holds onto the chair she is draped over, her nials digging deep into the feeble fibres of said chair confused to see him still here, here she thought he would have left, had he been here the entire night!?

"I am now what's your excuse…" His hues narrow as he removes said sleeping mask off him, his hues once more meeting her heated hues of brown glaring glowering at the man.

"Excuse? When do I need to give you an excuse? I'm doing my work unlike a certain someone." Snippily, Ann glares glowers at the lazy moron before her, poison dripping down her tense-tired tone.

"It's 3 am." Annoyed, he glares at Ann.

"Wow congrats you can read a watch." Dryly, Ann sneers scowling at the moron, it didn't matter what time, the more work that was done the better.

"Why are you working at 3?" Baffled, his hues narrow at her.

"Why aren't you?" Scowling, she argues annoyed at her so called superior, with how lazy he was she could already imagine the poor workers who had to do his work.

"Because I have a healthy sleeping schedule." Simply, he states.

"I think there's a limit to healthy when it comes to your sleep schedule if you have a problem with it then leave you have that lawn chair right? Go nap out there." Tiredly, Ann waves the man off not having the time to deal with him as she tries to return to her work, brow furrowed firmly focused on the task at hand.

"It's cold." Calmly, Kuzan responds, simply shrugging.

"Is it now? Tell you what, why don't you do it what I'm doing and suck it up!" Angrily, Ann snaps scowling as next the tall, towering Kuzan knew he was kicked out of the room, blinking befuddled as the mystified marines gawk gape at their admiral being kicked out…

"Did the admiral just get kicked out?"

"They really were right about lady Ann…"

"She's so scary!"

"As terrifying as her grandfather!"

"She's a demon!"

…Cute. Silently, Kuzan couldn't help but think as he plopped himself down on the lawn chair returning to his nap.

"Say…lady Ann hasn't left that office yet…"

"Lady Ann has always been like that we normally leave food for her!"

"But I haven't seen her eat anything!"

"Yeah sometimes she gets so focused on her work she forgets to eat…"

"She does?!"

"Yeah that's our lady Ann she's so dutiful as a marine!"

"She's so cool!"

"And so beautiful!"

"She's such a hard worker she's going to be an admiral one day mark my words!"

Quietly, Kuzan leans back in his lawn chair, his brow further furrowing shielding such an expression from their works with his sleeping mask as he continues his attempt at a nap…

"Urgh!" Aggravated, Ann releases a strained sound scowling from the paperwork upon paperwork before her, a tall towering tower of paper before her, swearing she was going to die before long…she hated when it was like this, she had done all she could but all she could do now is wait for Mr lazy bones to actually sign them off…frustration flows through Ann at the thought if she could just sign them they wouldn't be nagging at her, gnawing away at her tainting her almost as if the papers were snickering smugly at her, taunting her that if she had Kuzan's position she could sign all of this off and be done with it, but no she didn't even though she had been with he marines for YEARS…se still didn't have the power that ass did.

She had no choice she had to bite the bullet bring that ass back here, he didn't have to do much just sign some stuff off and it could be off their minds. She had done the rest, she just needed his signature that was all and it would stop nagging at her. Ann arises from her seat to do so sighing, she hated having to bite the bullet but she had little to no choice, sure the idea of forging his signature had popped up in her head however the consequences of doing such a thing with the already bad book she was in was not in the cards…

"Oi icehole!" Angrily, Ann slams said boot into her door slamming it open, oblivious to the tray of food being casted aside as she scowls sauntering over to ass, hating every single second of having to grovel at the ass of having to ask for the ass's help as to her surprise she sees said ass with one leg over the other on the lawn chair, not batting an eye to the glaring pink haired girl marching over, a stack of paperwork in hand, her hair blowing briskly in the wind while she remains firmly locked on the lazy bones, oblivious to the small smirk upon his lips at her attempt at insulting him.

"I need you to sign these." Tense, she snaps slamming said paperwork on the table near his deckchair.

"Later." Aloofly, he waves her off earning a twitching brow.

"There is no later, there's only now!" Angrily, she scowls down at the lazy bones sleeping mask still on as he leans bac on the deckchair, the other marines watching worriedly on while others simply sigh adjusted to their captain's quick temper often colliding with Kuzan's calm cool composed temperament.

"There's always a later." Lazily, he turns his back to the gawking gaping girl.

"There's never a later!" Scowling, she barks back to him however he simply stares ahead aloofly blanking out the fuming pink haired girl grumbling, growling, glaring at him.

"Forget it, don't come crying to me when the fleet admiral is on your ass!" Angrily, Ann turns on her heel huffing, storming back into her room, not batting an eye to the spilled soup and such as the man on said lawn chair simply sighs at the wasted food, furrowing his brow by the headache that was Monkey. D. Ann.

Urgh that guy is such an…! Angrily, Ann curses cross internally incensed, feeling her blood boil, bubble, burn even enraged as she frantically taps the side of her head, trying to see some sort of loophole to allow herself to write said documents or at the least hope for some sort of mistake she could fix to buy her time but in the end as she looks over at the work, doing a double check, she soon leans back, fatigue flowing through her exhaustion etched into the single sigh she releases as she leans back in her seat, in defeat.

"That was quite the sigh." Surprised, Ann jolts up at the calm cool voice of…

"Holy shit! Stop scaring me like that!" Tense, Ann places her hand over her chest glaring at the tall towering figure of Kuzan.

"You know they say the more you sigh the less you'll grow." Kuzan approaches placing the tray down.

"What kinda bullshit is that?!" Agitated, Ann demands from him.

"It's what I heard." Kuzan simply shrugs.

"Yes well not all of us can live life as lax as you." Ann huffs leaning back in her seat scowling up at him.

"You could try to." Kuzan points out.

"If I did, no work would be done and we'd both be on the streets." Scowling, Ann deadpans.

"Are you always so serious?" Sighing, Kuzan plops himself down on the bed brow furrowed at her.

"Are you always so carefree?" Curtly, she demands done from the fool.

"…" Together, the two glare glower at one another, a still silence falling between both of them until…

"What's this?" Ann asks as she points towards the tray of food.

"Your food." Kuzan answers as he slides his sleeping mask down.

"A bit much don't you think?" Ann eyes the food below brow furrowed.

"It's your breakfast and dinner." Deadpanned, Kuzan yawns stretching out on said bed, feeling a strange sense of comfort from the scented sheets below.

"…Oooooh." Ann leans back something seemingly clicking.

"Oh?" Kuzan arches a brow by her reaction raising a brow by it irritated.

"I knew I was forgetting something." Softly, she whispers, she knew she could get a bit too focused at times that would tend to lead to her forgetting something when getting invested into something…

"How do you forget to eat?" Baffled, Kuzan furrows his brow at her, his back still turned to her.

"How do you…okay I don't have a comeback right now but I am planning to come up with one." Annoyed, Ann grumbles glaring down at the food below.

"I'm sure you are." Amused, a small smirk crosses Kuzan's lips from her response.

"Why are you even doing this? Don't suppose it's due to a guilty conscious." Coyly, she smirks slightly at the thought however she is met by still silence making her hue twitch tense.

"If it is those papers over there need your signature." Scowling, she hollers crossing her arms over her chest throwing a glare at the man behind her.

"I've just given your food and already you're putting me to work." Kuzan sighs softly setting his sleeping mask down.

"Work that should have been done on the mainland yes!" Angrily, Ann turns towards the fool only to gawk gape at the still silence she received seeing said male sleeping on her bed making Ann growl glare at the back of the ass as she is soon stuck to sleep on the sofa.

Quietly, the young girl sweeps some floor panels, the young girl's hair is tied into a low perky pink ponytail as she sweeps the hallways all by her lonesome, simply scowling down at the floorboard below. She had to be strong, she had to be better, she had to…her hues narrow at the footsteps approaching as she scowls at the silver and black-haired man making her furrow her brow by the sheer sight of the tall towering figure…most of all, she couldn't trust him…it wasn't just her life on the line…

"Report..." The girl's hues narrow at the voice.

"No luck, we've followed Roger's trail and found nothing, none of the women had shown to be his…" The marine reports as the girl's grip tightens around the brush as just then she scowls hearing the sound of footsteps approaching. Her browns narrow glaring glowering up at the man brushing by…

She couldn't understand him, she just couldn't…why…?! Why that man!? Mad, the girl glares glowers up at the tall towering figure of the man that tried to take her father to impel down time and time again that tried to kill him time and time again how could she trust the hero of the marines!? Mad, the girl growls glaring as next she knew she sweeps to the side smirking smugly when seeing said marine hero come crashing down to the ground below hitting face first into the wooden floorboards below.

"G-Garp san!" Surprised, the man gawk at the fallen figure of the war hero unaware of the small smirk crosses the pink haired girl.

"Oi brat!" Rudely, one of the marine men grab the girl's arm making her hiss as she is roughly grabbed glaring up at the older man but before he could do anything else…a hand swiftly stops it.

"G-Garp san?" Surprised, the man furrows his brow at the older man removing the girl from him, gently placing the girl down, his hues sternly staring down at the girl glaring back before sighing softly, disappointed almost before taking his leave, the other men following behind the war hero leaving the surprised pink haired girl but she shakes her head dismissing such shock, she didn't care, it was an act that's all…she…she couldn't she just couldn't…she…

She wouldn't…she couldn't trust him, she refused to! She would protect what remained of her family no matter what!

"I can't believe it's been a year since that murder's death!"

"King of pirates my ass king of scum is what he is!"

"Yeah haha! Scum of the earth!"

Obnoxiously, the laugher echoes throughout the training grounds of the merry marines cackle, grown men murmuring amongst themselves as they clink beer bottles beaming brightly oblivious to the sharp scowl of the glaring glowering pink haired girl.

"Captain you sure you want us to take on the little girl?" Cockily, one of the marine men from before smirks down as the three older men tower over the little girl glaring up at them from the rim of her cap.

"Yeah it seems a bi-" Unsure, another voice belonging o another marine on said field furrows their brow but as soon as the bell rings…

"Argh!"

The fallen figures of the grown men collapse to the ground, their body parts positioned distortional, scarlet staining the floor below, blue bruises littered with purple ad ruby red littered all over their bodies, their shake some screaming from the sheer brutality before them as the grinning girl looms over the boys below beneath her.

"She's going to kill them!" Terrified, a voice screeches scared as she seethes snarling slamming her fist again and again into the fatigued facial features of the battered, broken, bashed in skull of the unconscious marine, scarlet smearing her furious fist.

"The match is over! Ann enough!" The instructor roars at the girl but it falls to deaf ears, her ears ringing as she grins giddily continuing to smash her fist fiercely into the side of the man's head, calcium chalky chunks spewing out of the cracked teeth of the man below.

"M-Mommy…" A marine whimpers weakly begging beseeching for it all to end as a shadow soon looms over the girl.

The marines murmur fearfully oblivious to the bright broad grin crossing the girl's lips as she smirks down at the battered, beaten, bruised men before feeling a hand on her shoulder, making her turn to scowl up at a familiar figure, her hardened hues of brown glaring up at the marine war hero….

"G-Garp san!" Surprised, the marines perk up at the sight of the man towering over the girl, grabbing her by her collar.

"LET ME GO!" Glaring, the pink haired girl snarls as a familiar man in white grabs the girl, seeing her thrashing.

"G-Garp san!" Surprised, the group gasps as the girl's hand uppercuts the older man mortifying everyone even the girl gawking at the shy streak of scarlet streaming down the scowling older man.

"Wh-What the hell is she?"

"A devil…a demon!"

"A monster!"

Terrified, the group of grown men gawk at the fleeting figures of the older man dragging the child away as before the girl knew it she was tossed into a cell of sorts, cursing as her back bashed into the stone wall making her hiss glaring glowering at the war hero.

"You ain't making things easy kid." Garp sighs softly sitting down on the barrel below him as the girl glares at him.

"…" Silently, she stares scowling at him.

"If you could tell me where-" Garp sighs softly sighing at the girl before him however she simply scowls at him.

"Go to hell." The girl spits at his fit.

"I only want to help." Unfazed, he tells the glaring girl.

"We don't want your help." The girl scowls to the side.

"…The more you drag this out the more likely those guys are going to find them." Truthfully, Garp crosses his arms annoyed at the only source of finding them however he is soon met by still silence making Garp sigh at another attempt at getting the truth failing…he knew he had to earn her trust but what was with this family being so difficult?

"Wait you telling me she beat some marines!?" Mystifed, the marines in the lunch hall gawk at the news eyeing the still silent figure outside of the lunch hall, sat upon a bench brow furrowed eyeing the small scrape of a bowl before her.

"Beat them black and blue, one of them is in a coma while another had their skull bashed in, he can't look into one of his eyes again!" His friend tells the marine.

"The hell that kid ain't human!" Horrified, the man gasps oblivious to a blonde boy shyly staring watching the grumbling girl eat her food furrowing her brow by it irritated stabbing into said bowl.

"U-Um…." Meekly, the boy approaches the pink haired girl shyly staring at the glaring girl looking up at the blonde briefly before returning to her food.

"I…" The boy begins but soon stop staring stunned at the sheer intensity of said stare.

"…" Silently, she continues staring scowling glaring at the boy, she had seen him during practice at the start when she was with the beginner group before being taken to the higher rank groups. He was weak, she recalled, always falling on his face, falling o his behind, a clumsy clutz…a weak link.

"I..C…Can I s-sit here?" Hopeful, he asks as he points towards the empty space by her.

"…Why?" Scowling, she furrows her brow at him.

"Y-You…you seem lonely." The blonde bows his head, his grip tightening around the tray.

"…Do what you want." Huffing, she dismisses him.

"O-Oh okay!" The beaming blonde approaches only then to gasp falling forward flat on his face flabbergasting the perplexed pink haired girl as the blonde simply smiles grinning at the perky pink haired girl, her hues widening when seeing said smile, a smile so brightly, so genuine so….the soft sound of utensils hitting the stone below echoes alarming the boy gasping at the floodgates that come crashing down him as next the girl knew…

"H-Hey why are you crying? I-I'm sorry!" Apologetically, the blonde frantically waves his arms about anxiously towards the tears freely falling from the pink haired girl…

Urgh…Ann furrows her brow as her hues slowly but surely open as she seemingly stretches out attempting to adjust, awaiting for the crisp cracks of bones from sleeping on said sofa only then to falter furrowing her brow by the prim plum fabric below, noting the duvet draped over her. Her hues widen when she soon realizes what she is lied upon, the bed? But she was…Ann's befuddled brows narrow lost as her hues turn towards the sofa seeing much to her surprise a familiar sleeping masked man. She notes the curled up ball she forms as she sees the bed she is on wait wasn't she on the sofa…? What…wait did he? Astonished, Ann holds her head not quite sure what to say…

Ann slowly slides out of her bed brow furrowed, she looks towards the desk, her hues widening when seeing said signature upon each and every paper before turning back to the sleeping Kuzan, brow furrowed, not quite sure what to make of it all. She needed some air, Anne decides as she strides out of the room, trying to be as quiet as possible as she is soon greeted by the bright blaring sun shyly greeting the morning day. She feels the brisk breeze brush through her blondish perky pink hair combing her fingertips through it, brushing some stray strands aside as she attempts to welcome the morning day.

Silently, she nods at a fair few sleepy marines heading down, their shift ending as the marines make their way down to the barracks while the marine morning shift soon make their way on top. Ann leans over the railing of the ship, leaning into the palm of her hand looking out at the sun shining warmly welcoming greeting the day to come.

"Why are you up?" Grumpily, the voice huffs as Ann turns towards the source seeing said tall towering giant that was Kuzan joining Ann's side.

"I could ask you the same." Smirking, she looks up at the sleepyhead.

"…" Silently, said male simply stares down at her.

"There is nothing quite like the morning sun." Smiling, she turns back to said sun, she hadn't thought about it as a child but when she reached Wano on her father's ship that sun…changed something within her, she didn't know what but it just…when the adventure was over, she supposed she should have spent more time enjoying what she thought would last forever…

"I can think of a few things better than that." Tiredly, Kuzan mutters making the amused Ann smirking shaking her head, he had no idea…

"I used to be like that as a kid…" Ann smiles softly at the thought, her father was rousing her up despite her protests, his boisterous bellow being her alarm.

"You're still a kid." Kuzan smirks down at her.

"Oi I've grown!" Lightly, Ann hits his shoulder only making his smirk widen when hearing her teasing tone.

"Physically perhaps mentally not so much." Mischievously, Kuzan remarks eyeing her up and down.

"And you'd know?" Ann scoffs smirking.

"The crater back at the base would." Kuzan reminds her.

"Oh ha ha…" Ann huffs giving him a playful glare.

"What do you mean about the morning sun?" Kuzan queries curiosity clear in his tone towards her.

"I guess it's something I took for granted as a kid seeing the sun day in day out, nothing is quite like the morning sun." Sadly, she smiles sadly at the thought of her younger years on board with what felt like family, with what felt like an adventure that would never end and yet…

"Hmm…" Kuzan hums looking down at the girl below noting the faint sheen in her sorrowful browns, looking mechanical too mechanical for someone her age…his hues soon soften noting the brisk breeze brushing through her hair as he couldn't help but stare stunned, the warmth of the sun the ethereal glow in which she stood smiling sadly….he couldn't help but furrow his brow by the strange sight of serenity of beauty of…

"What?" Ann calls out snapping Kuzan out of his thoughts briefly by it.

"…Nothing." Aloofly, he brushes it off confusing Ann as he takes a seat on his lawn chair, lowering the sleeping mask he took out of his black trench coat pocket however before she could ask about his habit of staring…

"THE HELL!?" Horrified, Ann astonished screeches startled by the sudden shift in direction of said ship as next she knew she was about to be flung back if not for the hand swiftly snatching her ankle, holding her while many marines crumble to the ground, some screaming as they are thrown to the side hitting the railing or those unlucky few to fall into the washing waves below.

"Sir we have a problem!" Smoker roars through the tidal waves of gales, gust blows through the ringing alarmed Ann's ears.

"Clearly." Cross, Ann agitated snaps slapping said hand off her ankle as she reaches for one of the support beams trying to retrieve some semblance of normality through the brisk breeze brushing through her hair tousling it, going crazy as rain suddenly strikes pouting down upon the ship.

"What's going on now?" Calmly, Kuzan queries stretching out almost attempting to get comfy despite the storm their ship has found themselves dragged in.

"Don't act so lax about this!" Tense, Ann angrily yells at the ass ignoring the shy shudder of the sudden drop of temperature.

"The current its cha-argh!" A solider soon tries to scream before being thrown back.

"Oh shit!" Ann curses as she soon is blown back by the wind as next she knew, her nails dug deep into the railing of the ship, noting her hair dampening acting as a heavy weight almost to drag her down into the seawater below.

"Hmm…" She hears Kuzan hum as Ann angrily attempts to crawl back up clinging to the railing glaring glowering at the unfazed sleeping man on the lawn chair.

"We're going to be heading into a storm and you're just going to sleep!?" Scowling, she snarls snapping at the ass.

"Wake me up when it ends." He mutters leaning bac against the lawn chair.

"Don't you dare go to sleep!" Scowling, she glares glowers at the man lying lax on his lawn chair.

"…" Silently, said male leans back against the lawn chair.

"Don't you do it." Incensed, she snarls snapping at him however despite her screaming bloody murder at him…

"…Zzz." The soft snore echoes as next Ann knew she was falling but most of all she was swearing as she fell into the dark depths of the washing waves below…

*So what do you think of Ann's past? Of her and pre-story Kuzan?*
