Prologue
Isaac shook his head and groaned. "Wh-where am I?"
He stood up and examined his surroundings. He noticed that there was nothing around him but darkness and a soft purple glow coming from the ground. He walked around hoping to find something that he recognized.
"Well looks like I'm not in Vale anymore..." He sighed after a while and turned to see some bright light glowing in the distance. "Huh?"
Curious about what that light was and where is lead, Isaac began to run toward it. When he got there, he saw it was a vast field full of strange plants and animals. He walked around and saw three figures sitting around a patch of flowers and laughing along with the strange animals.
As he got closer, he saw that one of the figures was his, idiotic, childhood friend Garet.
"Hey Isaac! Where've you been? You're kinda late." Garet said and smiled. "C'mon and sit here with us! This is gonna be even better now that you're here."
The other two figures, having their faces shadowed over, seemed to be a girl of his age and a boy that was about fifteen. "Um...yeah..." Isaac said a little confused. He looked around and noticed that most of the animals were Djinn. The rest of them didn't look like any he's seen before. He decided not to ask.
After a while, Isaac began to feel uncomfortable with Garet's new friends. They seemed...odd for some reason.
The younger boy seemed to notice pretty quickly. "Is there something troubling you Isaac?"
Isaac shook his head and smiled. "No there's nothing wrong. I'm just fine!"
The boy shook his head and closed his eyes. Isaac felt a strange surge of energy run through his head. After a while, the boy opened his eyes and frowned.
"You do not approve of us being here?" He asked.
Isaac shook his head. "No...It's not that...It's just..."
"We're odd and aren't very familiar to you?" The boy finished for him.
//How did he know? It's as if he read my mind...// Isaac thought. "Uh..yeah..."
Then, the ground began to shake beneath them.
"Wha-what's going on?" Garet yelled over the noise.
"I don' know!" Everyone else answered.
They all stood up and tried to regain their balance as Isaac tried to keep the ground steady with his Psynergy. Just then a fault split the ground beneath them. Everyone except Isaac, who was concentrating so much he didn't notice, jumped aside to avoid from falling.
"Isaac jump!!" Yelled the girl. Isaac opened his eyes and yelled as he clutched onto the edge of the fault.
"Grab hold!" Garet cried reaching out. Isaac obeyed quickly and grasped it. He slipped and seized hold of the edge again.
"Your hands are too slippery!" Isaac shouted. He tried again holding on as tight as he could as Garet tried to pull him up. He slipped again this time striking his head against a falling rock knocking him unconscious. The last thing he heard was his name being called by Garet and the other two.
