The Mystery of Ranger
Chapter 1- One Weird Camper
"Keep digging!" shouted Mr. Sir, spitting sunflower seeds into an empty hole. While all the boys of D-tent were 3 feet deep into their holes, one camper was completely done. As that camper climbed out of the hole, all the boys looked up.
This camper was different from the other campers at Camp Green Lake. For one thing, this camper was known as Ranger. Ranger never spoke. Zero is more talkative then Ranger and Zero is extremely quiet. No camper has ever heard him talk. Also he wears a white scarf over his face so all you can see is his bright green eyes. Also he wore a white hood over his head. His skin was light and he stood at 5 foot 6 inches.
Ranger gave a quick look at his hole and started to walk towards the water truck, which was right next to Zero's hole. As Ranger walked up to Zero's hole, he saw a discouraged look on Zero's face. Zero was no longer the fastest digger in camp.
Ranger continued to walk to the truck and climbed into the passengers' seat. This truly shocked the D-tent boys. No one EVER just sat in the water truck.
But Mr. Sir just got into the truck and drove over to the Warden's cabin. Now the D-tent boys knew there was something wrong with the camper Ranger.
