CHAPTER 1

Don't Understand It's A Date

"Lizzie?" asked Gordo, sounding annoyed. "Lizzie?"

Lizzie McGuire wasn't asleep, she was just in Ethan-mode. She wouldn't look at anyone; She wouldn't listen to anyone;

She would just stare. Who was she staring at? The same person she always stared at.

Ethan Craft. Ethan wasn't smart, wasn't romantic, wasn't interesting, and wasn't just about anything you could think of except handsome.

He had perfect hair, perfect eyes, a perfect nose, a perfect mouth, a perfect neck, a perfect hight, a perfect... everything. If he had a good personality,

he'd be irrisistable, Lizzie always thought.

"Lizzie, when your done being hypnotized by Ethan can you listen to what a friend has to say?" Said Gordo.

Lizzie jumped out of her trance. "Yeah, Gordo?"

Gordo didn't have the courage to continue, but he knew he had to. "Lizzie, I was wondering, Would you, um, like to, you know, go to a movie with me?"

Lizzie was puzzled by his shyness. "How could Gordo be scared of a movie with me?" she thought. "I've only gone to them with him a gazillion times!"

"Of Course, Gordo! How about Friday night."

Gordo was relieved. "Sounds Great! Bye!"

As Gordo walked to his next class he began thinking. "Why was I so scared? I always invite her to the movies and she never realizes I want it to be a date.

But how could she when you never tell her your feelings!" With those thoughts on his mind Gordo walked to biology and sat down.

He took out his picture of him and Lizzie at age 6, and stared at it. "Lizzie," he said to the picture. "Someday, I'll tell you. Someday."
