Thunder booms outside of a small village. A boy notices the noise, and cowers to his mother. She clings to him tightly as the storm moves in. The boy begins to cry as the thunder shakes the heavens once again.

A man closes up his small shop as the sky is lighted up by one, gigantic lightning bolt. The town slowly creeps into shadows as clouds engulf the sky around it. The boy from before sits inside his cozy little home. His mother happily cooks him a little snack before they go to sleep to wait out the storm.

Little do they know the storm is not what it seems. A man, with a long black cloak, and a small katana in it's sheathe, and on the sheathe are three, small, metal balls, softly embedded in it, walks slowly into town. The sheathe hangs from his side. He turns his head slowly, counting each house. He nods, and draws his sword, he grasps it firmly. He lifts it high into the air, and then thrusts the blade side straight into the ground, causing a large gust of wind to come from it, and go straight through half of the houses in the town, destroying them.

A small explosion occurs after the wind finishes, and reaches around 50 feet from where the man stands. He turns around, and takes off a small metal ball from his sheathe, and throws it in the middle of the rest of the houses. After several seconds, the ball explodes, sending fire and metal through the air, destroying the rest of the town.

The man grins as he wipes the sword on his cloak quickly then puts it back into it's sheathe. As the man walks away, rain drops begin to fall from the sky, putting out some of the fire, but still letting it burn the remains of the dead bodies and town.

The next morning, a small sob is heard from the ruins of the town. The little boy from before sits on his knees in front of his mother's body, which lays lifeless on the ground. Tears drain from his eyes as he pounds his fist on the ground, shouting, "WHY, WHY, WHY!!!!!" Finally, he lowers his crying to a sob. He stands up and wipes his eyes gently with his sleeve.

He walks around the town, trying to find anyone that survived, still sobbing every so often. When he reaches the middle of the town, he falls onto his rump, saddened to find no survivors. As he begins to cry again he looks down, and sees a small, black rose. He picks it up gently, but still gets a thorn jammed in his thumb, causing it to bleed some. Immediately, he drops the rose and puts his finger into his mouth, sucking the blood. He goes and gets a small piece of clothe, and raps his finger in it. Then, he rips off a piece of his clothing from his shoulder, and wraps it around his hand, and then grasping the black rose, and strips its thorns from it.

He looks at it, and remembers to the night before. He crushes the rose in his hand, and leans his head back, screaming, "I WILL KILL THE MAN THAT DID THIS!!!! DO YOU HEAR ME!?!?! I WILL KILL YOU!!!!!"

And so begins.. Hosha's Revenge.
