It was a warm, bright summer day and Joey Wheeler was walking up to Yugi's house holding a single white rose. Of course, it wasn't for Yugi. It was for his cousin Saria who had arrived the night before. Joey's palms felt slightly sweaty as he hopped up the steps. He raps lightly on the door.
"Hello? Anybody home?" He asks loudly, to be heard of course.
A green-eyed girl with shoulder-length emerald hair races to the door. She opens it and sees Joey. She giggles.
"Hey Joey!" She says. Her green eyes sparkle as she speaks. "It's good to see you again!"
Joey stares at her. She was wearing denim hip-huggers and a baby tee.
She laughs, "Joey?"
"Uh. Yeah. Hi." Joey manages to get out.
She smiles and tucks some hair behind her ear as she watches Joey in his jeans and t-shirt. He also had on his infamous green jacket.
Oh my god. I can't believe that Joey could look so cute with such little effort! Saria thought.
Joey smirked slightly. Wow. Saria's even prettier than I remembered. He offered the single white rose to Saria.
Saria took it, grinning. "Why, thank you Joey. You're such a gentleman."
Joey blushes slightly, "Hey Saria, would you like to join me for lunch."
She giggles, nodding. "Yeah! That'd be great."
He grins and offers her his arm, which she takes grinning as they walk down the street.
