Sometimes it Rains in Cape Suzzette

Kit Cloudkicker let after he turned 24,
just after he got his license to fly
I bet he's flying better than I ever could
With Baloo corkscrews zooming through the air.
I miss Kit because I loved him like my son.
A boy, this boy like that is hard to block out my pain.
I miss Kit because it is so lonely here,
And I know, I know this day had to come my way.
Sometimes it Rains in Cape Suzzette.
Sometimes the pain is so real.
Sometimes I feel that he is still here with me.
Together flying, pilot & navigator.
Cape Suzzette has always been my special place.
A place of airplanes flying over my pain.
But Cape Suzzette is now a place of memories,
Memories of Kit, flying on runs.
He used to say to me "Oh papa Bear when will you teach me that maneuver"
I looked surprised, knowing these moments will pass us both by.
No one could surf the clouds the way my L'britches could surf the clouds.
Sometimes it Rains in Cape Suzzette.
Sometimes the pain is so real.
Sometimes I feel that he is still here with me.
Together flying, pilot & navigator.
I sometime look in the heavens,
and I see Kit's face up there.
I hope that he will come to see me again.
Hopefully he's doing and living well.
Hopefully I'll still be he's Papa Bear.
Sometimes it Rains in Cape Suzzette.
Sometimes the pain is so very, very, real.
Sometimes I feel, no wish that he is still here with me.
Together flying, pilot & navigator.
Together flying, pilot & navigator.
Lord knows, I miss that boy and,
I love him so.
I
