Does he love me? A songfic based on "its in his kiss" by the supremes. . .
*Does he love me, I wanna know,
how can I tell if he loves me so?*
Hermione Granger sat, feeling very confused. She and her best friend Harry had just became a "couple" last year and still they hadn't edged close to using the "l" word. She was talking to Lavender, explaining all her troubles while sitting on her four poster bed.
"How can I tell the way he feels without asking him," Hermione asked distraughtly.
*Is it in his eyes
oh no you'll be deceived*
"Sometimes when he is starring at me, I feel like there is nothing between us, like he and I are alone without a care in the world."
"Just because his eyes tell you one thing doesn't mean his heart is saying the same. Boys are fickle, confusing creatures Hermione. Nah, you can't tell by his eyes alone," Lavender replied.
*is it in his sighs
oh no he'll make believe*.
"When we cuddle he sighs with happiness like the happiest man on earth. He is content and full of joy. When I hear these sighs something inside me tells me that he really does love me. Can I go by that feeling alone?"
"Not necessarily. He may love you but those sighs could just be sighs," advised Lavender, as though she knew something Hermione didn't.
* If you wanna know
if he loves you so
it's in his kiss
that's where it is.... oh yeah!*
"Hermione, may I ask you something about you and Harry's relationship?"
"Sure if you can help me."
"Have you two well, you know, kissed?"
"Of course. And those times when we have been kissing have been the happiest, most magical times in my life. The fireworks explode between our mouths and sparks fly."
"Then that is how you know. What you just described; its what all people in love feel. It's Harry's way of saying those three little words that mean so much to you, even if they don't mean as much to him."

The next morning Hermione awoke early and went to the common room to catch up on Transfiguration studies. When she reached the end of the stairs leading up to the girl's dormitory from the common room she was happily surprised to see Harry coming down the stairs that desscend from the boy's dormitory.
"It's still early. Why don't we sit together by the fire," Harry suggested with a grin on his face the could be more than just a 'good morning honey' smile.
Hermione blushed, but complied and slid down to sit on his lap and rest her head on her favorite pillow, also known as Harry's shoulder.
He gently kissed the top of her head and was filled with a wonderful scent that was Hermione.
"What was that for," she asked very pleased.
"So you will always know that I love you," Harry replied, meaning every word.
A smile spread across Hermione's face slowly and she thought back on what Lavender had told her last night. She pressed her lips to his softly and the sparks still flew.
"You mean that Harry," she asked unsure.
"With all my heart," he reassured her.
She kissed him again, full of passion and then she knew that the feelings were mutual.
"And that was so you know that I love you Harry Potter, and always will.
With that the young couple grasped each others hands and headed towards the great hall for breakfast.
