Rick O'Connell was in the gym practicing shooting when he heard his wife, Evy talking to someone.
"Who was that?" He asked when he walked to the front door seeing his wife closing it.
"Ardeth. He wanted to know if he could bring a teenaged medjai. I told him she could. He'll be here in an hour with her." Evy answered
"Are you sure she won't be a bad influence on Alex?"
"I don't believe she will be a bad influence, possibly a good one. She can teach him how to defend himself in school. C'mon let's prepare a room for her." They went upstairs and prepared it.

"Dad! Mum! Someone's at the door." Said Alex
"It must be Ardeth and the girl. I'll get it. Continue doing your homework!" Said Rick as he walked to the door and opened it. "Hello Ardeth ol'pal. Is this the girl?"
"Hello O'Connell. Yes, this is Tori. Get Evy down here. I would like to show you and her Tori's abilities. Ahh Evy let us take this into the gym." Said Ardeth and they walked into the gym.
