Ok first warnings. This is completely out of character for Zel. But really
in this case that's the point. Second, I don't know what's funny, I made
this up not knowing so I'm asking you all to come up with ideas and tell me
what you think. To lengthen this I may make a second chapter using that
idea or I'll make three chapters and have the middle one be a voting thing.
So that I can present everyone's ideas and get the one people like the
best. (I really like the last idea, I love to interact with my readers. It
makes me feel loved ^ ^). That's really the only bit of warning I have. It
doesn't even have a coupling. It doesn't need to.
Disclaimer: If I owned Slayers I'd know what Zel's thinking of or seeing. Since I don't ::shrugs:: don't bug me about it. You can't sue a person for not knowing something. ________________________________________________________________________
And suddenly that struck him as funny. REALLY, REALLY funny! He started to chuckle.
"What's so funny Mister Zelgadis?" Amelia tilts her head slightly.
After a few minutes of just him chuckling Amelia speaks again. "I don't get it?"
At this Zelgadis' chuckles turn into full fledged laughter.
"Mister Zelgadis," Amelia's eyebrows furrow in concern. "Are you hurt? Is everything ok?"
This of course is met with another burst of laughter. Oh, this was too rich! Clutching his sides he laughed all the harder. His eyes started to water slightly and he couldn't breath.
"MISS LINA!!" Amelia shrieks, "SOMETHING'S WRONG WITH MISTER ZELGADIS!"
Waving his hand up in reassurance he doesn't even pause his laughter. Tears were pouring from his eyes in great streams down those stony cheeks (waterfalls come to mind).
Lina steps into the room. "Amelia, what are you up to n-" Catching sight of the highly amused chimera her expression goes from annoyed to confused. "Zel?" Lina's head tilts slightly to one side.
Shaking his head in reply Zelgadis tries to calm down his humor but instead all it turns into is giggles.
'Ok, now I've seen everything, rock golems, drag-ons, even the complete negation of the entire universe takes second fiddle to this.' Lina shakes her head. 'Zel is actually GIGGLING!'
"Wow, what's so funny Lina?" Gourry, who had just strolled up, scratches his head in confusion.
"You know Gourry, for once, I'm as stumped as you." Lina walks up and taps Zel on the back. "Common Zel let us in on the joke!"
Zel pauses straightened up and his face took on a very monotonous facade again. Finally taking in one huge breath he prepares to explain all when he catches sight of the inquisitive expressions gracing everyone's faces. With his mouth still open his eyes start to water again and he snorts into another fit of laughter. This time the gales are so fierce he falls to the floor and rolls around clutching both sides with his hands.
"Hey, ZEL!" Lina shouts. "You never answered my question.
"Yeah I still don't get it Mister Zelgadis." Amelia whines pitifully.
"Huh?" Gourry just stares at him in confusion. Even he realized this wasn't normal Zelgadis behavior.
"I-I.... HAHAHA" Finally he couldn't even make the appropriate noises for laughter as he'd run out of breath for even that.
"ZELGADIS GREYWARDS YOU ANSWER ME NOW!" Lina ground out. 'How dare he ignore me!' she thought, 'Fine, I'll teach him.' In anger (and obviously not thinking) Lina walked up beside him and in one smooth motion she pulled back her leg and kicked him right in the head.
"OW!!" @.@
