Author's note: This is a little story I started a while back but I've gotten a little stuck with it since then. I'd really appreciate reviews or suggestions about it.

"We have to stop meeting like this Nuada," she said, her pretty silver and gold fur shining in the moonlight.

"But Sapphira, I...I don't know what I'd do without you, you're my everything," Nuada's voice was only a whisper, but considering they were so close to the junkyard he had to keep his voice low. He gently took hold of her paw but she snatched it away again.

"Don't do this to me," she whimpered, "You know we can never be together, our parents would never allow it. We have to break it off before they find out."

"I don't give a damn about our fathers, all I know is I want to be with you so much. My heart aches so much without you, don't make me live with that pain," he gently took Sapphira in his arms, "Let's run away," he whispered to her.

"What?" she couldn't believe her ears. Run away? From her family, from her friends? But her heart was calling to her, wanting to be with her love.

"Run away," Nuada repeated, "We could find a little place to live, I could take care of you, we could grow old together in peace."

Sapphira smiled, "I'll do it, just...I have to see my family one more time," she quickly ran through the junkyard gates. It was late and most of the jellicles were asleep by now, except those on guard. Sapphira looked into her parent's den, they were sleeping peacefully. Gold fur entwined with silver, they never stirred as Sapphira glanced in,

"Goodbye Mum, goodbye Dad," she whispered tearfully, before running back to her love.
