Prologue

Staring blankly at the screen nothing made sense. That was the beginning. How he remembered it. Nothing had made sense. The words blurred into each other as he continued to stare. Soon they were engulfed by the pitch-black background, swallowing them whole. Swallowing them whole, just as it would swallow him whole. Nothing would be left. And again nothing would make sense. Does it ever make sense? For instance, does this very paragraph make sense? How do we know when something does make sense? There are no rules outlining and defining such a thing, so should we merely assume that nothing makes sense?

That would be the sensible suggestion. But when does one come to that as the conclusion? Never. Fate always twists events, changing our paths just seconds before we walk them. Leaving us helpless, left to just continue on on our own. With no one to help us through the darkness. But what if someone could help us through? Guide us with light, wipe away that darkness and leave the way clear and bright for us to find our way. Help everything make sense....

For that to happen reality would have to diminish. That option is not even there for us, it is impossible. Nothing ever makes sense. Nothing can ever make sense. That's the way it has been, is and will be. Nothing can change that...well, nothing could change that...why now should it be any different?

The words appear back on the screen, clear and bold, the luminous green shimmering against the black. Frowning Elijah looked at them more intently wondering why they didn't make sense....

Love your hate, your faith lost

You are now one of us

Love your hate, your faith lost

You are now one of us

Nothing from nowhere, I'm no one at all

Radiate, recognize one silent call

As we all form one dark flame... Incinerate

Nothing from nowhere, I'm no one at all

Radiate, recognize one silent call

As we all form one dark flame

As we all form one dark flame

As we all...

Love your hate, your faith lost

You are now one of us

Love your hate, your faith lost

You are now one, one of us
