Well, I am currently struggling through The Silmarillion and, though a work
of sheer brilliance, is a little confusing on the name-side. Please don't
take offence, I love Tolkien's works and this is just further appreciation.
~~ Ch.1
And it was that Finarfen and Eärwen were driving down the great March of Maedhros in search of the holiday resort of Lake Helevorn. Thus, Finarfen spake to his children, Finrod and Orodreth,
"If you don't shut up, I'm going to turn right back around we'll go straight back home."
The children fell silence as Finarfen and Eärwen discussed the plans of their journey.
"We passed Ladros about thirty miles backs," sayeth Eärwen, but Finarfen did protest,
"Nay! We want the Pass of Aglon, where we may cross into Himlad."
Eärwen made a rude gesture, that maketh her children cry out. Thus, the car came to a halt and Finarfen's face grew dark.
"Excuse thou?"
"Nothing," his wife declared and thus she spread her arms and blinked her eyes in implication of her innocence.
The car passed across to the head of the Little Gelion, where they came across a man all in grey.
"Pull up and let's ask him," Eärwen said. But Finarfen raised his eyebrows and did look into the distance in a thoughtful and heroic pose.
"Dad, we're going to crash!" shouteth Finrond and thus, the car swerved to a halt. And so it was that Finarfen hailed the stranger.
"Hail, well met, greetings, how's it going, friend?" quoth Finarfen. The stranger, for he was Olwë of Alqualondë spake with a heavy heart.
"What do you want?"
"Do you happen to know where the Mount Rerir bypass is?" asketh Finarfen.
"Onwards you must go! Past the rocks of Helium, Litmus, Dumbledore and Jello!" cried Olwë of Alqualondë, "Then past the trees of healing, eating, murdering and, of course, constant singing. Past the great Wall of Marmalade, under the Macdonald's sign and it's on your right. Thou cannot miss it!"
And thus, he was gone.
