The Newest Rancher

"We are now down to our last two Ranchers in the Monster Rancher Battle Tourney!" exclaimed the announcer, "They are Drake Zaiol and Gensei Suki."
"Drake is using a Joker and Gensei is using a Jell." said the announcer to the excited crowed, "Drake has won every battle with the same monster while Gensei has had to switch three times."
"Who will win only time will tell." said the announcer. "Lets ask some fans."
"I think Drake will win considering he beat the last six monsters in three turns." said a boy in the first row.
"Hey announcer come here for a moment!" hollered Drake over the roar of the crowd.
"Yes Drake, What can I do you for?" asked the announcer.
"I would like to dedicate this battle to that boy in the first row for his faith in me." said Drake. "This ones for you my man."
During the time it took Drake to say those words his Joker dodged seven attacks from the opponets Jell.
"Its time to finish this." said Drake as he instructed his virtual Joker to use his finishing move.
The Joker raised his scythe and slashed the Jell into pieces.
"Battle over!" exclaimed the electronic voice over the loud speakers.
"Its all over the winner is Drake with a flawless battle and complete victory over his opponents." said the announcer. "His prize is the newest version of the video game Monster Rancher."
"I would like to thank my fans because I would not be here if it wasnt for you." said Drake. "I will be in the parking lot signing autographs in the parking lot in one hour."
"That was our new champ Drake, and this is the end of the ceremonies and tourney." said the announcer. "Good-bye."
Several hours later Drake returned home to his apartment to try out his new game. He walks in and goes to the kitchen to get him something to drink. He returns to the living room and opens the package then starts to read the booklet that came with the game. After he finished reading he reaches over and pops open the PS2 and places the disc in the slot. When he pushes the power button he hears the normal whirring of the disk. As he does this he accidently bumps his water over and drenches the PS2. He suddenly feels a shocking sensation and feels a pullling sensation.
The next thing he knows he is falling through an open summer sky heading toward what looks like a girl and a Golem from the Monster Rancher game. END OF CHAPTER ONE
