"And that's next time on Yu Yu Hakusho!" The TV sounded the end of my favorite anime show. I snapped the TV off with the remote and then flopped down on my couch. "Ally come and eat!" My mom's voice rang like a sweet church bell, calling me to dinner. I stood up and ran my fingers through my mass of brown hair, trying to flatten and smooth it to look presentable. I walked into the kitchen slowly and sat down in my usual spot of comfort. My little brother Zach presented himself in the chair on my right. "Now that we are gathered, lets begin." My dad cut the large chicken while the rest of the family helped themselves to the side dishes. Today it was mashed potatoes with gravy, peas, and chicken! I licked my lips as my mother passed me the plate of chicken. After taking a leg, I passed it to my brother. I daintily began eating my food using my manners as I had been taught to do.
"So Ally how was your day at school dear?" My mom questioned me as she always did; it was a mere routine for me. "Boring as always though I have to admit that in first period we had an interesting go at World War II. I have always found it interesting to talk about the wars." "Really? You know your great-grandfather was a fighter in that war." My dad piped up and I could tell this was going to be another family discussion that I found so very boring. "Yes, you've told me only about a million times dad." I replied calmly and quickly made to finish my dinner before we got too far into this talk. I pushed back my chair abruptly and took my plate to the sink. I washed it off and ran up the stairs to take a shower.
The warm water poured over my bare back as I washed up for the night. The soapsuds filed down the drain and I turned the shower off. I opened the shower curtain and stepped out. Drying myself off as quickly as possible, why was I in a rush I did not know. I looked into the mirror, staring into the depths of my emerald green eyes. "Ugh if only I could be taken away from this world before it gets way to boring. Not forever, just until I find it interesting again." My words sounded strange but I smiled to myself. I was like that; I couldn't be predicted because my vision of things changed constantly. I brushed my hair and washed my face a final time. Looking into the mirror once more, I examined myself. I wasn't one of popular ranks and I wasn't exactly beautiful. Just a pretty face in the crowd that was never noticed by anyone important. My body had a perfect tan for I played a lot of sports plus did even more outdoor activity. My hair was a little longer then shoulder-length. My legs were slender and smooth as were my arms.
"Ally could you please get out of the bathroom! I gotta go bad!" "Oh sorry Zach!" I opened the door and my brother rushed in, pushing me out. I heard a muffled "Thanks!" as he closed the door. My brother and I usually got along; it was rare when we didn't. "Oh well. Bed. Early to bed, early to rise." I smiled muttering part of an old quote. "Or late night anime." I rushed down the stairs and swung myself onto the couch. I set the sleep timer and covered myself with a light blanket to watch InuYasha and Trigun. I began to get sleepy as I watched Trigun, my eyelids fell and would not open. I fell asleep into a deep slumber, the TV shutting off as planned.
Little did I know that something was going to happen. Something I wasn't expecting. Something that would totally turn my world upside down.
- Sorry so short! How is it though? *looks hopeful* well R&R!!!! -
