Getting Ready For the Day
Eda Clawthorne smiled slightly as she watched her adopted daughter play with her little girlfriend, who was now her niece by adoption. The wild witch blinked as she realized how easy it was to call Amity Blight her niece, even though she had only been part of the family for less than a day.
"Titan, how did my life turn out like this?" Eda muttered contently under her breath.
She heard the whoosh of magic and looked to the "knocked-down" couple. Amity had made a small abomination platform, just high enough that her girlfriend couldn't reach. But Luz Noceda/Luzura Noceda-Clawthorne wasn't one to give up easily. She reached for the belt she grabbed just a few minutes ago and let out a cute gasp when she felt it missing.
"Uz-Uz," Amity called to her girlfriend teasingly.
The "knocked-down" human looked at her witch girlfriend and angrily puffed out her cheeks at what she saw. Somehow Amity managed to get her girlfriend's belt with Luz noticing.
"No faiw!" the human witch pouted.
"Sowwy, not sowwy," the abomination witch replied playfully, and then tossed the belt down.
Luz caught the belt and slapped it on, ready to continue the game of witch tag. The game didn't get a chance to continue, however, as Lilith stepped out of the front door and clapped her hands to get the current children's attention.
"Alright, you two. That's enough playtime, we have to get ready for the day."
Everyone groaned (Eda included), and Lilith gave her younger sister a small glare. She turned to the two current children and put on a warm smile.
"Don't worry, I promise today will be fun."
The former coven head walked up to the two and leaned down to give her niece a quick kiss on forehead. Luz blushed bashfully as her witch aunt brushed a lock of hair out of her face. Lilith turned to her new daughter and walked up to the platform she was on. She reached out to help her down and Amity jumped into her new mother's arms.
Startled, Lilith wrapped her arms around Amity and held her tight to her chest. The warm smile returned to her face as she heard the soft giggling coming from her daughter.
"You really have been hanging around your girlfriend for far too long," Lilith muttered warmly.
Lilith kissed her daughter on the forehead as she turned and made her way into the house, the rest of her family not too far behind her.

Lilith tried to keep the scowl from appearing on her face, as she fixed the pain-nabbing plant around Amity's wrist. There was a scar around the young witch's wrist, where the Ouroboros Curse once rested.
Lilith recalled what the Oldstone siblings had told her late last night. Because the curse was on Amity for so long, there would be only a small amount of its magic within Amity. This small amount wouldn't be anything serious, but it would leave her with a small, dull pain.
This was proven true, when helping her daughter to get dressed, Amity said her wrist felt funny.
'Just another thing to add to that ever growing list of things I hate about that woman' Lilith thought angrily.
She finished tying the plant around Amity's wrist and grabbed a brush. She began to brush her daughter's hair but couldn't help but think back to everything she learned.
Willia Oldstone had advised Lilith to use Pain-nabbing plants sparingly. The odd healer had warned that overuse could cause Amity to develop resistance to the aloe in the plant, and since Pain-nabbing plants were the main ingredient in pain-numbing potions, that could be a problem down the road.
"No need," Amity's muttering brought her new mother out of her thoughts.
Lilith looked down and a sympathetic smile graced her lips. The newest Clawthorne member was on her knees and her hands were holding the skirt of her pink dress down with all of her might. Her face was red and she kept muttering the same thing over and over again.
"Sorry," Lilith whispered sympathetically. "While feeling has returned to your legs, last night's "incident" show that you're not completely over the effects of the pain-numbing potion."
Amity's face flushed more and she hanged her head in shame as she recalled how she had an accident when hugging her girlfriend. Thankfully, Luz had been good-natured about it, and understood that accidents happen.
Sensing her daughter's sadness, Lilith leaned forward and wrapped Amity in a tight, motherly hug. Amity immediately got lost in her new mother's warmth and scent. The new mother and daughter stayed like this for a solid two minutes before Lilith gently pulled herself away from Amity, but kept an arm around her, for comfort.
"Now, dear, do you want your hair like I've been putting it?" Lilith inquired warmly. "Or do you want to try something different?"
Amity's blush returned, only more bashful and she looked to her right. Lilith followed her glaze and saw her sister finishing up with Luz. The "knocked-down" human was wearing her "knocked-down get-up" as Eda liked to call it, and the wild witch was fixing the otter hair clip onto the side of her head.
Lilith felt a tug on her shirt and looked at Amity. She saw that her daughter's blushed had deepened slightly, and she pointed to Luz. Lilith smiled as she understood the gesture, and began working to set her new daughter's hair in a similar style to her niece.
Lilith even found a cute white cat-shape hair clip to put into Amity's hair.
Meanwhile, Luz saw what her aunt was doing, and decided she wanted something like what Amity was doing. She tugged on her witch mother's skirt to get her attention.
"Yeah, kiddo, what'cha you need?" Eda asked.
With a big smile, she pointed at her girlfriend, more specifically, the plant now around Amity's wrist. With a knowing smile, Eda pulled out a plant glyph from her hair and put it on the table as she activated its magic. A vine with a Softglow plant was created a second later, and Eda gently picked it up.
With an eager smile, Luz held out her left arm and Eda laughed heartily as she began to tie the plant around her human daughter's wrist.
The sisters were just finishing up with their daughters when Hooty opened the door.
"We have some new and cute visitors!"
The entire Noceda-Clawthorne family looked up as the Park parents and Perry Potter stepped into the Owl House. The three adults looked equally disturbed, no doubt a bit traumatized by experiencing Hooty for the first time.
In front of the adults were two familiar but now "knocked-down" witches, looking at the inside of the house with awe.
Luz squealed and rushed out of her witch mother's grasp so fast she nearly took the wild witch's hands with her. The human witch tickled her friends to the ground and the trio of "knocked-downs" began to giggle.
"Well, I know what happened to my last vial of rejuvenation potion," Eda muttered.
She stood up and gave her hands a quick look over, to see if anything was out of place, and looked at Lilith with a crooked grin.
"This was Luz's idea, wasn't it?"
"Naturally," Lilith replied lightheartedly.
The former coven head stood up, hands on her daughter's shoulders and gently led Amity closer to the group. Lilith studied Willow and Gus, taking in their appearance.
The young Park was wearing a dress like the one she saw in a picture Amity carried around, only the dress was in Willow's current colors. Also, Willow was wearing her slightly longer hair in the new style that Amity helped her. Lilith did see that a band had been fitted around the young plant witch's glasses, and she didn't have bandages covering her body.
Gus was basically in a downsize version of his usual outfit, but the sleeves on his tonic were slightly shorter and his pants legs were a bit on the baggy side. What caught the new mother's interest was how much bigger and puffy the young witch hair had become.
She knew longer hair was a side-effect of the rejuvenation potions, but she hadn't seen hair this long…or puffy before. She wondered if it was genetic, like how all of the Clawthorne family had long and unruly hair.
Lilith decided to file this into the back of her head, and watched as Luz untangled herself from her friends. She noted how bashful Amity had suddenly become, looking at Willow uncertainty.
She wasn't the only one to see this, as Luz looked at her girlfriend with a big smile and bounced over to her. She took Amity by the hands and they got closer to their friends. With a small shave, Luz put Amity right in front of her old best friend.
The two stared awkwardly at each other. It was clear that both wanted to say something, but were just two awkwardly to do anything. It looks like someone might have to step in for things to get started.
"Am-Am!" Willow screamed cutely.
The "knocked-down" Plant witch suddenly took the startled Amity into a bone-crushing hug. The cute 'eep' that escaped Amity caused warm smiles to spread across all of the adults' faces, and a little gushing from a certain "knocked-down '' human.
With the barrier down, it wasn't long before the entire group of "knocked-downs" were involved in the hug and giggling like crazy.
"So Parkys, how was your first morning with a "knocked-down" kid?" Eda asked the two dads teasingly.
Harvey fixed his glasses and was clearly still a little unnerved by his interaction with Hooty. "It was a bit weird…but nice."
Gilbert looked ready to say something when Perry piped in.
"Miss Clawthorne, inquiring minds would like to know, what's the plan for the day? After all, you didn't set up a leave of absence for our kids without some kind of plan in place."
Lilith just smiled at the reporter and his keel instincts for picking up on things. The reporter's statement had caught everyone's attention and they all looked at the former coven head with eagerness.
"I'm glad you ask," Lilith was beaming with satisfaction as she said, "We're taking our kids to the Bonesborough's Amusement park."
"AMUSEMENT PARK!" Eda screamed, and bolted upstairs, confusing everyone in the room.

This isn't going to be a long story, as this is a sort of extended epilogue to the first story arc in my Noceda-Clawthorne series. So, that means…I have to stuff as much baby antics and shenanigans as possible!
