Just a fun story I came up with a while back. First written for me then decided to share. Hope you enjoy.
I have republished the story I noticed I skipped a chapter.
Who am I?
The day started like most, Chase woke to pups for breakfast. Everypup ate their fill, except Rubble of course because that wasn't possible. The pups cleaned the Lookout then did their usual service on their vehicles, just another typical day in Adventure Bay.
The pups had finished their duties and were laying around trying to decide what to do next. Zuma and Skye were entertaining the crowd with a heated game of Pup Pup Boogie. Zuma was just about to pull ahead when their collars alerted "Paw Patrol to the Lookout!"
"Ryder needs us!" the pups all chimed running for the elevator. Marshall in usual still slid in knocking them all down.
"Strike!" laughed the dally, everyone laughed along as the elevator rose.
The pups stepped out into their usual places Chase did a quick glance to check everyone.
"Paw Patrol ready for action Ryder Sir!" Chase said.
"Thanks for coming so quickly pups" said Ryder as he turned and brought up the screen showing Cap'n. Turbot jumping up and down on the ship.
"Pup's Cap'n. Turbot has lost a propeller on the Flounder and is drifting dangerously close to some rocks. He needs us to help quickly before he runs aground." Ryder explained "Zuma I need you to dive down and help fix the propeller. Rocky I need you to ride out with Zuma and find something that we can use as a propeller in case we can't find the old one."
"Ready, Set, Get Wet!" yelled Zuma heading for the slide.
"I better not get wet" Whined Rocky "Oh well, Don't lose it, Reuse it!" Rocky also turned and headed for the slide.
"Paw Patrol is on a roll!" yelled Ryder heading for the pole. "The rest of you pups standby in case we need you."
Zuma fired up his hovercraft and Rocky jumped in with him. The met Ryder on the driveway and headed out. Once they got to the water Zuma easily slid on to the water without slowing down, Rocky closed his eyes and held on tight to Zuma as they moved across the bay. Ryder converted his ATV into Jet Ski mode and inflated his life vest. They quickly arrived on the scene and found that the ship was getting closer and closer to the rocks.
"The ding dang Prop fell off" yelled Cap'n Turbot frantically "I'm gonna be smashed to smithereens on those rocks if we don't get it back on."
Zuma immediately dove down to find the old propeller.
"Have you tried to drop the anchor and at least hold the ship in place until we can fix it?" asked Rocky.
"Ha! You know, I should have thought of that" said Cap'n Turbot pulling the lever which activated the anchor.
It quickly dropped into the water and sank quickly unbeknownst to Zuma swimming below. The anchor hit Zuma in the head and he immediately went limp. Rocky witnessed the incident and screamed for Ryder but Ryder had not gotten to the ship yet. Rocky watched for a moment knowing his friend would drown if he didn't act quickly.
"I hate the water!" Rocky yelled as he dove into the water and swam with all his might to reach Zuma before it was too late.
Ryder arrived and Cap'n Turbot yelled to let Ryder know what was happening. Ryder called the Lookout.
"Marshall! I need you out here fast Zuma's been knocked out and Rocky's trying to save him. There's a boat waiting for you at the dock." yelled Ryder
"Rocky's in the water? Man it must be serious" yelled Marshall calling out his catch phrase as he tripped into the slide.
"Skye can you fly out here and carry Marshall and Zuma back to Katie's" Ryder asked
"Pup's gotta fly" called out Skye. Chase could stand it and followed to make sure Zuma was going to be ok.
After the anchor hit zuma it continued to the bottom where it caught and held the Flounder in place.
Rocky swam as hard as he could and finally reached Zuma's lifeless body. He grabbed the pup and swam for the surface. They broke the surface and Rocky yelled for help.
"He's not breathing!" Rocky cried.
Ryder quickly pulled up to them and grabbed Zuma then reached for Rocky. "Marshall's on the way" Ryder said obviously worried.
"No get him to Marshall, I'm already wet I'll try to fix the Flounder" said Rocky turning back to the lumbering ship.
"Ok Rocky, I'll be back" Ryder called out as he took off. At the same time He called Marshall to give an update and tell him he would meet him at the dock.
Marshall pulled up to the dock and was waiting when Ryder pulled up.
"He's not breathing Marshall!" Ryder cried out "Please help him!"
Marshall had never seen Ryder this upset before, it scared him for a second but the moment he looked at Zuma he focused and went to work. Ryder laid Zuma down on the dock. Marshall quickly assessed Zuma and began artificial respirations. It seemed like hours went by and finally Zuma coughed up what looked like the entire ocean to Marshall and Ryder. Skye and Chase had pulled up and looked on with fear for their friend.
"That's it Zuma, Cough it up, buddy" cried Ryder.
"Breathe Zuma! Breathe" Marshall said through tears of joy and fear.
Zuma was breathing but still unconscious. He had a very bad cut on his head where the anchor hit him. Marshall wrapped it up and Chase brought the stretcher. Marshall and Chase gently lifted Zuma onto the stretcher and Marshall loaded him into the ambulance. Marshall jumped into the driver's seat and took off with his sirens blaring. Chase rode in the back with Zuma.
Ryder turned to Skye "I have to go back and check on Rocky. He's was going to try and fix Cap'n Turbot's ship."
"I'll come and help if I can" said Skye running for her helicopter.
Rocky had found a spare dive rig on Zuma's Hovercraft and had been able to find the old propeller. He was just finishing up when Ryder and Skye arrived.
"That should do it Cap'n Turbot" said Rocky as he climbed on the deck shaking off his fur.
Cap'n Turbot looked at Rocky in disbelief "I didn't think you could swim"
"I can" said Rocky "I don't like to though"
Ryder pulled up beside the Flounder "I'm so proud of you pup, you saved Zuma and then did what had to be done."
"How is he? Did Marshall get him breathing again? Is he going to be ok? Is he …" Rocky spouted questions as fast as he could.
"Rocky slow down, yes Marshall got Zuma breathing again. But as for the rest I don't know" Ryder broke a little "If you're done here, let's head for Katie's. Can you drive Zuma's Hovercraft?"
Rocky dove back into the water and got on Zuma's Hovercraft headed toward Katie's as fast as he could go.
Ryder laughed a little, "I'll take that for a yes. Cap'n Turbot well check with you later."
"I'm great thanks to the Paw Patrol" said Cap'n Turbot "I really hope ZUma's ok."
Skye had seen Rocky take off and followed. Ryder turned and headed to Katie's as well.
Marshall flew through town as fast as he could go. He pulled up and KAtie was standing in front of the shop.
"What's his status Marshall?" asked Katie as she stepped to the back of the ambulance. Chase opened the doors and began pulling the stretcher out.
Marshall explained what he knew and that Zuma wasn't breathing at first. He gave the pup's vital signs and a complete rundown of the injuries. They wheeled him inside the shop and then into Katie's makeshift emergency room. Marshall and Katie began thoroughly checking over Zuma for other injuries while taking care of the injuries they already knew about. Chase watched from the window until the others arrived. Ryder had called Rubble who had met them there.
"Now we wait" said Ryder pacing outside the door of the emergency room.
