Saiyan Anti-Hero
It was a bright sunny day out as families were enjoying Independence Day, having picnics, barbeques, flying their kites. It was a peaceful day, until panic began to rise and ensue, as ice began freezing over the area, causing people to run away screaming in terror at the one responsible for it, with many of them, becoming frozen statues themselves.
Up on the rock formations, ice froze over as Mr. Freeze made his presence known, to the cowering family below.
"Enjoying family time?" He questioned, before using his Freeze Ray on the family, causing them to become frozen solid. "My family has other plans."
Sliding down, Freeze was about to use his weapon on more of the surrounding people, before it was knocked off target by a throwing blade that came out of nowhere.
"Batman." Freeze said. "I was wondering when…" He stopped when he saw that Batman wasn't there, and heard an echoing laugh around him. Looking around, he tried to depict where that sound came from, before he looked up, and a pair of boots kicked him in the helmet, and knocked him off balance as Robin flipped over and landed on the grass, tossing two more blades throwing discs that caused more cracks than his kick caused, to form on Freeze's helmet. "Oh. Boy wonder. The bat sent you to drag me off to prison? Frankly I'm underwhelmed." Freeze said, picking himself up.
"Great, but I'm kinda in a hurry here." Robin said.
"Kids, always in such a rush." Freeze said.
"Not talking to you." Robin exclaimed.
Freeze's eyes opened wide in realization, and turned around right before Batman made his appearance, flying high above him, before coming down and knocking him out, while shattering his helmet at the same time with a fist.
~Star City~
All was peaceful and fine on the bridge leading in and out of Star City, until ice began freezing everywhere, as Icicle Jr, came and started causing havoc, before he started to laugh manically. However his laughter was interrupted when several arrows lodged themselves into the wall of ice he made, before one lodged itself into the ice covering his shoulder, which was the first to detonate. The arrow in his icy shoulder-pad detonating caused a chain reaction in the other arrows detonating, destroying his ice wall.
Looking up at where the arrows came from, Icicle Jr saw Green Arrow and his sidekick Speedy, atop the bridge.
"Finally, I was wondering what I guy had to do to get a little attention around here." He exclaimed, growing his claws out and throwing his arms forward, launching the claws like projectiles.
"Junior's doing this for attention?" Speedy asked, firing off his arrows.
After some had managed to get through their defenses, Speedy and Green Arrow made their way down the bridge, and continued fighting back against Icicle Jr. Dropping down from the bridge, Speedy sent an arrow at Junior, and hit him in the face, knocking him out.
"Haha, kid had a glass jaw." Green Arrow smiled.
"Hilarious, can we go now? Today's the day." Speedy said.
~Pearl Harbor~
The water surrounding the ships were frozen as Killer Frost, was causing havoc while fighting against Aquaman and Aqualad. Freezing Aquaman in place, from the neck down, Aqualad took command and used his magic infused water to form weapons in the hilts as Aquaman broke free.
"Don't tell me you're not excited." Aquaman said, as they continued to dodge Killer Frost's attacks.
"Right now my King, my priority is on the task at hand." Aqualad said, before jumping into the air, to bring his weapons down on Killer Frost.
The ice villain saw his attack coming and froze his arms and the water based weapons, before they could hit her. Falling a few feet short as he landed, Aqualad lunged forward and brought his frozen arms up, slamming them against the underside of her jaw, shattering the ice, and knocking the villain out.
Aquaman came walking up from behind him, and with a smile, raised an eye brow expecting an answer from him.
"Well?" Aquaman asked.
"Yes I am excited. Today's the day." Aqualad said.
~Central City~
The sound of a store alarm was going off as a jewelry story was covered in ice, as the villain responsible was outside, trying to freeze the speedsters running circles around him.
"Stealing ice? Isn't that a little, cliché?" Flash asked.
"C'mon we don't have time for this." Kid Flash said.
Running around to disorient Captain Cold, even further than he already was, the duo speedsters ran faster, before Kid Flash made a move, and ran towards Cold, just as a ray was fired in his direction, grazing his shoulder as he twisted around and grab the Cold Gun, before skidding to a halt. Cold looked down at his empty hand, and back to Kid Flash, before Flash came and knocked him out with a punch.
"Relax Kid." Flash exclaimed.
"No. You're going to chat it up with the reporters, with the police, with Cold even. Not this time." Kid Flash said, getting up in his mentor's grill. "Today's the day."
~Hall of Justice~
The sun shined brightly against the windows of the Hall of Justice, as Batman, Green Arrow, and Aquaman stood outside the doors, with Robin, Speedy, and Aqualad.
"Today's the day." Batman said, genuinely smiling.
"You both get that signal from Martian Manhunter?" Green Arrow asked his teammates.
"I did, he sounded quite urgent about it." Aquaman said.
"Same. I wonder what he needs to talk to us about." Batman inquired.
"Aw man." The six heroes and sidekicks turned around to see Flash and Kid Flash coming up to the group. "I knew we would be the last ones here." Kid Flash said.
With all four heroes and sidekicks together, the eight of them went for the entrance to the Hall of Justice, all while the media was trying to get their pictures.
"Oh man, this is so exciting." Kid Flash said as they made their way to the entrance. "We're finally getting an inside look to the Justice League's HQ. I'm overwhelmed."
"You're overwhelmed, Freeze was underwhelmed, why isn't anybody ever just whelmed?" Robin questioned as they went inside, passing under the seven statues of the Justice League's founding members. "Oh, maybe that's why." Robin said in awe.
The doors to the inner part of the sanctum opened up, revealing Martian Manhunter, and Red Tornado.
"Robin, Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash. Welcome." John Jones said before turning around and leading the way. "You now have unlimited access to the gym, our fully stocked galley, and of course our library." He exclaimed, as they entered the library.
"Make yourselves at home." Flash smiled, before Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad took their seats.
"Quick debrief to discuss the coincidence of four ice villains attacking on the same day." Batman said before looking to the sidekicks. "We shouldn't be long."
"Recognized, Batman 02. Aquaman 06. Flash 04. Green Arrow 08. Martian Manhunter 07. Red Tornado 16." A robotic voice said, scanning each of the league members, before opening up to a zeta tube.
"That's it?" Speedy questioned. "You promised us a real look inside, not a glorified backstage pass."
"It's a first step, you've been granted access few others get." Aquaman said.
"Oh really." Speedy said sarcastically, motioning up to the window, above them, where tourists were watching them, and taking pictures. "Who cares which side of the glass we're on?"
"Roy, you just need to be patient." Green Arrow said.
"What I need, is respect." Speedy exclaimed before turning around to face, Aqualad, Kid Flash, and Robin. "They're treating us like kids, worse, like Sidekicks. We deserve better than this." Speedy said, expecting them to agree with him, only they didn't seem to mind where they were. "You're kidding right?" He asked, after realizing they had no complaints. "You're playing their game? Why? Today was supposed to be THE day. Step one in becoming full-fledged members of the league."
"Well sure, but I thought step one, was a tour of the HQ?" Kid Flash said.
"Except the hall, isn't the league's real HQ. I bet they never told you, it's just a false front for tourists, and a pit stop for catching zeta beam teleporter tubes to the real thing. An orbiting satellite, called the Watch Tower." Speedy said.
Green Arrow turned to see Batman and Flash, both giving him disapproving looks, as Batman crossed his arms.
"I know, I know but I thought, maybe we can make an exception?" Green Arrow asked shrugging his shoulders. Batman's disapproving look just deepened. "Or not."
"You are not helping your cause here son. Stand down." Aquaman exclaimed stepping up. "Or…"
"Or what, you'll send me to my room?" Speedy questioned. "An' I'm not your son. I'm not even his." Speedy said, looking to Green Arrow. "I thought I was his partner, but not anymore." Speedy exclaimed, removing his hat, and throwing it to the ground, before he began marching off. "Guess they're right about you three. You're not ready." He said walking past his friends, before bumping into someone.
"An' with behavior like that, you really think you are?" A new voice questioned as the leaguers looked surprised to see him there, and causing Speedy to look up at him in shock. Standing in front of them, was a man with spiky black hair, an orange Gi with a blue undershirt, and a big smile on his face. "You're acting like a spoiled child, who didn't get the toy he wanted from Santa on Christmas morning. Have a little patience, you'll get there in time."
"An' who the hell are you?" Speedy asked.
"Nice to meet you to kid, my name's Goku." He smiled, before looking up and walking to the other Leaguers. "Hey Bats, Aquaman, Manhunter, Tornado been a while, hey Flash."
"Goku, my man. What are you doing here on our Earth?" Flash asked.
"I managed to get away from Chichi for some training, and thought I'd have a sparring match with the big guy. Where is he anyway?" Goku asked.
"He's currently at the Watch Tower, you're free to come with us, if you'd like." Aquaman said.
"Seriously, he gets to go to the Watch Tower, while we can't?" Speedy questioned.
"Well he is a member of the League." Manhunter said.
"He is? I've never seen him around." Green Arrow said.
"Oh, we haven't met. I'm Son Goku. It's a pleasure for you to meet me." Goku said kinda awkwardly.
"Right." Green Arrow said, shaking his hand.
"Don't worry, he's not the best when it comes to saying formal stuff. He always gets his words mixed up like that." Flash said. "In all honesty, he should be counted as one of the founding members, since he did help stop the invasion that initiated the Justice League's start up."
"Well, if there are no more distractions, and you haven't changed your mind about letting us aboard the Watch Tower, then I'm leaving." Speedy said, marching out of the room.
"Yeesh, what crawled into his breakfast?" Goku questioned. Before anyone could respond to anything, a transmission was coming in, and the big man in blue came up on the bid screen.
"Superman to Justice League. There's been an explosion at Project Cadmus. It's on fire." Superman said.
"Hey Sups, long time no see." Goku smiled.
"Goku, what are you doing on at the Hall of Justice?" Superman asked.
"I came by to see if you wanted to spar. But it looks like you're busy." Goku exclaimed.
"Very busy." Superman said.
"I've had my suspicions about Cadmus." Batman said taking charge of the call. "This may present the perfect opportunity to in…"
"Zatara to Justice League." Another projection of a man dressed as a magician, with a hat and wand, appeared on the same screen as Superman. "The Sorcerer Wotan is using the Amulet of Attan to blot out the sun. Requesting full League Response."
"Superman?"
"It's a small fire. Local authorities have it under control." Superman said.
"Then Cadmus can wait." Batman said. "All Leaguers Rendezvous to Zatara's coordinates, Batman out."
"Mind if I tag along? This sounds like it could be a challenge, and I've had my fair share of dealing with magic users." Goku said.
"Superman?"
"He is a member of the Justice League." Superman said. "An' he is on the planet, so he can come if he wishes."
"Alright." Goku smiled before stepping in front of the zeta tube scanner.
"Recognized, Saiyan Goku, 00." The robotic voice said.
Batman turned to the remaining sidekicks and gave his instructions clearly.
"Stay put." Batman said.
"What, why?" Robin questioned.
"This is a League Mission." Aquaman said.
"You're not trained." Flash exclaimed.
"Since when?" Kid Flash asked.
"I meant you're not trained to work as part of this team." Flash said.
"There will be other missions when you're ready." Aquaman exclaimed.
"But for now, stay put." Batman said, walking off to the zeta beam tube with Aquaman, Flash, and Goku.
"Glad you didn't bring, you know who?" Green Arrow asked.
"Indeed." John said, as they followed.
"Chin up you three. I'm sure you'll be ready for a mission when the time is right."
With that, all the League Members went in front of the zeta beam tube, zeta beaming to where they needed to be.
"When we're ready?" Kid Flash questioned. "How are we ever supposed to be ready when they treat us like, Sidekicks?"
"My Mentor, My King. I thought he trusted me." Aqualad said.
"Trust? They don't even trust us with the basics. They've got a secret HQ in space." Kid Flash said.
"I have a better question. Why didn't we leave with Speedy?" Robin inquired, causing the three of them to shut up and think for a bit.
"What is, Project Cadmus?" Aqualad inquired.
"Don't know, but I can find out." Robin smiled, before going to the main computer at the hall.
"Access denied." The synthetic voice said when he tried searching for information on Project Cadmus.
"Heh, wanna bet?" Robin smirked as he continued hacking.
"Whoa, how are you doing that?" Kid Flash questioned.
"Same system as the Batcave." Robin said.
"Access Granted."
"All right, Project Cadmus, Genetics Lab, located right here in D.C. That's all there is." Robin said. "But if Batman's suspicious, maybe we should investigate." Yang said.
"Solve their case before they do. It would be poetic justice." Aqualad said.
"Hey, they're all about justice. It's in the name." Robin smiled.
"But they said stay put." Aqualad said.
"For the blotting out the sun mission, not this." Robin exclaimed.
"Wait, are you going to Cadmus? Because if you're going, I'm going." Kid Flash said, before they turned and looked to Aqualad, smiling at him.
"Just like that? We're a team on a mission?" Aqualad inquired.
"We didn't come for a playdate." Robin stated.
~Project Cadmus~
Sirens were echoing through the air, as firefighters were desperately trying to put out the flames. But weren't having very much luck with it.
"Help."
"Get us down." Two scientists called out.
"Stay put. We will get you out." One of the fire fighters exclaimed.
Not a second after he said that, there was an explosion sending the two scientist out the window.
From out of nowhere, Kid Flash came running to the building and ran up the wall, grabbing both scientists before throwing them to the roof, but was unable to move fast enough to get there himself, and wound up hanging from the window they just fell from.
"It's what's his name, Flash Boy." The Fireman shouted.
"Kid Flash, why is that so hard?" Kid flash called out and questioned.
Back down the street, Robin and Aqualad came up to the burning building.
"So smooth." Robin joked.
"Does he always have to run ahead? We need a plan." Aqualad exclaimed, looking to Robin, before finding he was gone. "Robin?" He questioned, before he heard echoing laughter and looked over to see Robin running along the firetruck, before swinging in to the building on his wire, and helping Kid Flash through the window.
Aqualad sighed and went running up to the firemen, pulling out his weapon's hilts.
"I need to borrow that." He said, before his tattoos began to glow, and he pulled the water towards him, creating a platform that he used to send himself to the roof, and reach the scientists. "Get on. Now." He told them.
After they got on, Aqualad lowered the platform, jumping in through the window as he continued lowering it to the ground, before the scientists were safely out of harm's way, and covered them in water momentarily, to douse any ambers that may have been on their clothes.
"Appreciate the help." Aqualad said, jumping in as Robin and Speedy were already rummaging through the office.
"You handled it, besides we're here to investigate. Poetic Justice, remember?" Robin asked, as Aqualad went walking around the building.
Aqualad was searching through the hall, playing the role of lookout, when he heard the dinging sound of an elevator door closing and looked over to see the silhouette of something that didn't look human, just as the doors closed.
"There was something in the…"
"Elevators should be locked down." Kid Flash said, as he and Robin joined Aqualad in the hall, all three of them going to the elevator.
"This is wrong." Robin said, before going to his wrist computer. "Thought so. This is a high speed, express service elevator, they only belong in factories or company buildings more than ten stories tall, it doesn't belong in a two story building."
"Neither does what I saw." Aqualad said.
Using his Atlantian strength, Aqualad forced the doors open, looking down the shaft.
"Guess we know why it's here then." Robin said, hooking a cable to the ceiling of the elevator shaft with his grappling hook gun.
Jumping down, the trio went down the shaft of the elevator for several minutes, before they stopped at Sublevel26.
"I'm at the end of my rope." Robin said, before swinging to the elevator door they stopped at, with Aqualad and Kid Flash jumping to the ledge. "Bypassing security. There, go." Robin exclaimed.
Aqualad forced the doors to the underground lab open, allowing for the three of them to enter the lab.
"Welcome to project Cadmus." Robin said.
Without thinking ahead first, Kid Flash ran off ahead of them.
"Kid, wait." Aqualad called out, but his cry was ignored.
Skidding to a halt, Kid Flash freaked out as he was suddenly in front of several large behemoth like creatures who were heading right for him. After rolling out of the way from being stomped on one of them, Kid Flash made his way back to the group, who had come to see what was going on.
"No, nothing odd going on here." Aqualad said, obvious sarcasm in his voice.
~Genetics Lab~
The lab was barely lit as Dr. Desmond was working with materials given to him by his higher ups. Though his current priority was on Project Blockbuster. All the other projects could wait.
All around him in the lab, were creatures who were incubating in cryo-tubes curled up in the fetal position, like unborn infants in their mother's womb.
"Dr. Desmond." Someone called out, entering the lab.
"Tell me, Guardian, what part of no interruptions, did you not understand?" Dr. Desmond questioned, icing the latest vial of Blockbuster Formula.
"A G-Gnome on Sublevel26, reports 3 intruders." Guardian said.
"Ohh. Did I miss a perimeter breach alert?" Dr. Desmond questioned.
"No."
"Then the G-Gnome's confused. Whatever might occur in our faux lab above ground, the real Cadmus, is the most secure facility in D.C." Dr. Desmond exclaimed.
"My job to keep it that way." Guardian said.
"Fine. Take a squad."
"Might I recommend Guardian leave his G-Gnome behind? If violence should occur…" A horned man with deep lavender tinted skin, Dubbilex, exclaimed.
"The little guy would be in my way." Guardian finished.
"No. The advantage of instant telepathic communication, outweighs other concerns." Dr. Desmond exclaimed, scratching the chin of his own G-Gnome, signaling it to do its job, and contact guardian's G-Gnome, resulting in more obedient control.
"I need my G-Gnome with me at all times." Guardian said, before marching off.
~The Team~
After traveling down further into the lab, Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash, made their way through another locked door, thanks to Robin's hacking skills, but they all froze when they saw what was going on.
"Okay, I'm officially whelmed." Robin said.
In the room, there were hundreds of electricity producing giant insects, all looking like they were in stasis.
"This is how they hide this massive underground facility from the world." Kid Flash said. "The real Cadmus isn't on the grid. It generates its own power with these things. Must be what they're bred for."
"Even the name is a clue. The Cadmus of myth created a new race teeth into the earth." Aqualad said. "An' it seems, this Cadmus creates new life as well. Robin?"
"Already figuring out why." Robin exclaimed. "They call them, Genomorphs. Whoa, look at this. The stats on these things… Super Strength, Telepathy, Razor Claws. These things are living weapons."
"They're engineering an army. But for who?" Kid Flash questioned.
"Wait there's something else. Projects Kr, and SS." Robin said. "Ugh, the files are triple-encrypted. I can't…"
"Don't move." Guardian's voice called out, rushing in with several Razor Clawed Genomorphs. "Wait, Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash?" Guardian questioned looking to each of them.
"At least he got your name right." Robin smiled, downloading a copy of the encrypted files.
"I know you. Guardian, a hero." Aqualad said.
"I do my best." Guardian said.
"Then what are you doing here?" Kid Flash questioned.
"I'm chief of security." Guardian said. "You're trespassing. But we can call the Justice League, figure this out."
"You think the League's gonna approve of you breeding weapons?" Kid Flash asked.
"Weapons? What are you… what have I-ugh…" The G-Gnome on Guardian's shoulder, began to cloud his mind, evidence of this being its glowing horns. "My head… Take them down hard. No mercy."
As soon as they received that order, the Genomorphs went charging at the group, but their path was blocked with smoke when Robin threw down a smoke bomb and swung out of there with his grappling wire, leaving Kid Flash and Aqualad to fight off the Razor Genomorphs. Guardian made his way into the fight, and started taking on Aqualad, and slammed him into a panel of a control console. When Aqualad picked himself up, he was forced back as Guardian was on him again. Having no other choice, Aqualad used his magic to electrocute Guardian and knock him to the ground.
With a path cleared open for them, Aqualad and Kid Flash went running off, through the halls, back to the elevator. Robin was already hacking the elevator systems as the alarm was blaring trying to keep it from shutting down and locking them in the sublevel with plenty of trouble ready to come and take them out. Aqualad held the Genomorphs off while Robin was doing his thing.
"Way to be a team player, Rob." Kid Flash said, annoyed.
"Weren't you right behind me?" Robin asked, before the elevator doors opened up.
"Hey, we've got our exit, move it." Kid Flash called as he and Robin entered the cabin.
Knocking one of the Genomorphs away, Aqualad ran at the elevator, managing to get himself in, before the doors shut, and the elevator began to move. But it wasn't moving up.
"We're headed down?" Aqualad inquired.
"Dude, out is up." Kid Flash said.
"Excuse me? Projects Kr, and SS, are down on Sublevel52." Robin said. "We're this close to figuring out what Cadmus is up to."
"This is out of control." Aqualad said pacing around the cabin of the elevator. "We need to contact our mentors. We need to contact the Justice League."
The trio were silent for a moment, thinking about what she said, before they heard the, ding, of the elevator signaling to them, that they were on the floor Robin had entered.
The doors opened up, to reveal the walls looking like they were covered in some sort of organic rock substance. Robin ran ahead to get a better look.
"We are already here." Kid Flash said, before Aqualad followed.
After a bit of traveling they came across an intersection.
"Which way?" Aqualad questioned.
"Good question, bizzar looking hallway one, or bizzar looking hallway two?" Robin questioned.
"Halt." Dubbilex said blocking their path in hall number2.
"Run." Robin said, as Dubbilex used his power to throw explosive canisters at them, forcing the three sidekicks to go down the first hallway.
When the elevator doors opened, Dubbilex looked to Guardian and the Genomorphs as they came running out.
"They are heading for Project Kr, and SS." Dubbilex said.
As they ran down the hall, they spotted a door, similar to the one the electro Genomorphs were in, with Kr, and SS, on the front. To their surprise, it began opening. Pushing his limits, Kid Flash zipped ahead, running past the scientist that came out, and stopped at the doors just as they began closing. Thinking fast, Kid Flash grabbed a heavy canister and used it to prop the door open.
"Hurry." He called out before running into the room with Project Kr.
Making their way past the doctor, Robin and Aqualad jumped into the room, right before Aqualad kicked the canister away, allowing for the doors to shut, before he turned to his comrade.
"I disabled the door. We're safe." Robin said.
"We're trapped." Aqualad said.
"Uh, guys. You'll wanna see this." Kid Flash said, turning the lights on at the console.
The lights came on, revealing two pods in the center of the room. One of them, holding what looked like a younger version of Superman, in a white solar suit, with the Kryptonian Shield on his chest. An' the other, held a young girl in her mid-teens, with long black hair reaching down her back, wearing a black skin tight suit, with the same crest on the chest. Both pods contained three G-Gnomes, currently inactive. The glass on the front of the pods had Kr for the young man, and SS on the glass for the young woman's pod.
While the young man looked like a younger version of Superman, the girl looked very different. She had an hourglass figure, with wide hips, thick thighs, a perfect waist, a supermodel face, and a large chest.
"Big K, little r, the atomic symbol for Krypton. But what does SS mean?" Kid Flash said. "Clones?"
"Robin, hack." Aqualad said.
"Already on it listen to this." Robin said, getting her attention. "Weapons designated Superboy and Super Saiyan. Clones force-grown in… 16 weeks? From DNA acquired from Superman, and the Saiyan Goku." Robin said.
"Stolen from Superman and Goku." Aqualad said.
"Wait, Goku, as in the Gi wearing martial artist who went with the other members of the League to the blotting out the sun mission, and can go toe to toe with Superman?" Kid Flash inquired.
"That's him. He and Superman had a big fight when they first met, and it ended with Goku kicking his ass, which honestly worried Batman, but they were still on friendly terms after that, and became friends, choosing to stay in contact to spar with one another, before Goku went back to his planet, which strangely enough, is also called Earth." Robin said.
"No way the, big guys know about this." Kid Flash exclaimed.
"The solar suits they both wear, allow them to absorb yellow sun radiation, 24/7."
"What does it say about Project Super Saiyan?" Aqualad asked.
"Right, right. Weapon designated Super Saiyan. DNA acquired from Son Goku when he last visited earth. Due to some mishaps with the cloning sequencing, the clone came out as a female, instead of a male Saiyan. She wears a black solar suit, because it's theorized the Saiyans derive their power from the sun, just like a Kryptonian."
"That's preposterous." Kid Flash said. "Everyone in the science community knows, Saiyans don't get their power from the sun, they get it from the moon, when it's full."
"Which is precisely why, when Project Super Saiyan was force grown to five years old, her tail was removed after an incident that was buried under the rug." Robin said, reading more of the file.
"An' these, creatures?" Aqualad asked, pointing to the six G-Gnomes on the screen.
"Genomorph Gnomes. Telepathic. Force feeding them an education. The ones in the pod for Project SS, are also feeding her martial arts skills and techniques, including a few moves Goku used himself, when he fought Big Blue." Robin said.
"An' we can guess what else." Kid Flash exclaimed. "They're making a slave out of, well Superman's son, and Son Goku's daughter."
"Now we contact the League." Aqualad said.
~Outside the Door~
"They're still in there, with the weapons?" Dr. Desmond questioned.
"We can't get the door open." Guardian said.
"Use your telekinesis." Desmond demanded, turning to Dubbilex.
"I have tried, to no avail." Dubbilex said.
"Useless." Desmond growled. "This is a debacle. Get some G-Trolls down here to muscle the door open now."
"Already on their way." Guardian said.
"You realize once we get in there, we can't ever let those intruders leave." Desmond said.
"Doc, these aren't your typical meddling kids. You don't want to get on the wrong side of the Justice League." Guardian said.
"Better than getting on the wrong side of the Cadmus Board of Directors, believe me." Desmond exclaimed before spotting Guardian's G-Gnome. "Contact the G-Gnomes inside Kr and SS." He ordered it.
~Inside~
"This is wrong." Kid Flash said, not noticing the horns of the G-Gnomes in the pods lighting up.
"We can't leave them like this." Robin added, as Aqualad was in thought.
"Set them free." Aqualad said, coming to a decision. "Do it."
Robin hacked into the mainframe for the pods, and overrode their commands, opening them, and setting the two clones free. Both clones were motionless for a minute, before their hands moved, clenching into fists, that's when Aqualad noticed the horns of the G-Gnomes and looked down towards the clones as they opened their eyes, both of them looking ready for a fight.
Almost instantly, both zipped out of their pods, with Superboy slamming into Aqualad, and Saiyan slamming into Kid Flash, knocking him on instantly as his head hit the wall, while Superboy pinned Aqualad down to the ground, and began punching him.
"Hey, hold on there you two. We're on your side." Robin said, pulling out a stun gun. "I don't wanna fight you." He exclaimed, before firing off the stun gun, hitting the girl in the chest.
The Saiyan clone just gripped the cables, and pulled Robin towards her, at a very fast pace, before she clotheslined him. She grabbed the back of his suit as he was spinning through the air, and slammed her knee into his back, before knocking him out in a chokehold, and dropping him to the ground.
Looking to her pod mate, the Saiyan girl saw he was done with Aqualad, who was now unconscious, and was walking to the door, before he forced it open, allowing for Dr. Desmond to come in and see their handy work.
"Well done children, well done." He smiled.
~2 Hours Later~
"Time runs short. You must awaken. You must awaken now." A voice echoed in the heads of all three in question, and they woke up with a shock, before they spotted the two clones who captured them, standing side by side, in front of their pods looking at them.
"What, what do you want?" Kid Flash questioned. "Quit starring, you're creeping me out."
"Uh KF, how about we not, tick off the guy, who can fry us with a look, and the girl who can most likely match him in strength?" Robin suggested.
"Please, we only sought to help you." Aqualad said.
"Yeah, we free you, and you turn on us, how's that for grati…"
"Kid please. Be quiet now." Aqualad said, silencing his friend, as Robin began discretely picking his locks. "I believe our new friends, were not in full control of their actions."
"Well what if we…" Superboy began.
"Well what if we weren't?" The Saiyan girl said, finishing what Superboy was saying.
"They can talk?" Kid Flash questioned, causing Superboy to clench his fists.
"Yes, we, can." Superboy punctuated, causing Robin and Aqualad to give Kid Flash a look.
"Not like I said, those things." Kid Flash said.
"The Genomorphs taught you, telepathically." Aqualad said.
"They taught us much." Superboy said.
"We can read, write. We know the names of things, I even know how to cook. Not that it'll do me any good in a place like this." The Saiyan girl exclaimed. "We don't even have proper names."
"But have you seen those things you know the names of? Have they actually let either of you see the sky?" Robin questioned. "Or the sun?"
"Images are implanted in our minds." Superboy said.
"But no, we have not seen them." The Saiyan girl stated.
"Do you know what you two are, who you are?" Aqualad asked.
"I am the Superboy, a Genomorph. A clone made from the DNA of the Superman. Created to replace him, should he perish, to destroy him, should he turn from the light." Superboy said.
"I am the Saiyan Warrior, a Genomorph, a clone made from the DNA of the Saiyan Son Goku. Created to destroy him should he ever return to destroy this world, and eradicate his evil." The Saiyan girl said.
"To be like Superman, is a worthy aspiration." Aqualad said. "But Goku isn't evil. He doesn't come to this planet to take innocent lives, or to destroy worlds."
"So… everything about Goku I was taught from the G-Gnomes was a lie?" The girl asked. "He's never taken an innocent life, or destroys whole cities just for fun?"
"Man what nonsense is Cadmus feeding you? No of course not. He's Superman's sparring partner. They're good friends. He's even saved the universe a few times." Kid Flash said.
"An' like Superman and Goku, you both deserve, a life of your own." Aqualad continued. "Beyond those solar suits, beyond your pods. Beyond Cadmus."
"We live, because of Cadmus." Superboy exclaimed.
"It is our home."
"Your home is a test tube." Robin said. "We can show you the sun."
"Uh, pretty sure it's after midnight, but we can show you the moon." Kid Flash said.
"We can show you, introduce you, to Superman and Goku." Aqualad said.
Superboy and the Saiyan girl looked at Aqualad, hoping he was serious, before the doors behind them began to open.
"No, they can't." Desmond said. "They'll be, otherwise occupied. Activate the cloning process."
"Pass. Bat cave's crowded enough." Robin said.
"An' get the weapons back in their pods." Desmond told Guardian, as the man went to them.
The Saiyan girl and Superboy looked to their new friends, feeling conflicted on what to do.
"Help us." Aqualad said.
"What are you going to do with them after the clones are made?" The Saiyan girl asked.
"That's none of your concern." Desmond said, walking up to them, as a G-Gnome jumped onto her shoulder, with its horns glowing. "Don't start thinking now. See you're not a real boy and girl, you're weapons, and you belong to me. Well, to Cadmus, same thing. Now get back to your pods."
"No." The Saiyan girl said, smacking the G-Gnome off her shoulder and to the ground. "I'm done, letting you control me. We are not, your weapons. We have our own wills, and will not stand by and let you do as you please, anymore." She declared, punching Desmond in the stomach, causing him to fall to his knees, his dinner forcing its way out of his mouth.
When Guardian tried to grab her, and make her stop, Superboy grabbed him by the shoulder, and did the same to him that the Saiyan girl did to Desmond.
"Why… you little brats…" Desmond said, trying to stay conscious.
"C'mon, we have to get out of here." The Saiyan said, breaking Aqualad out of his pod, while Superboy freed Kid Flash from his cloning pod, while Robin got himself out of his own.
"Ugh, finally. Lucky Batman isn't here. He'd have my head for taking so long to escape." Robin said.
"Seriously? That's what you're worried about? The whole League will have our heads after tonight." Kid Flash said.
"Thank you, both of you." Aqualad said.
"C'mon, we can escape through the elevator shaft." The Saiyan girl exclaimed.
"Follow me." Robin said.
"Do not go giving me orders." Superboy exclaimed.
"Y-you'll never get out of here. I'll have you back in pods, before morning." Desmond said, shakily getting on his feet.
"That guy is not whelmed. Not whelmed at all." Robin said, throwing three explosives at the cloning pods.
"What is it with you and this whelmed thing?" Kid Flash questioned as they ran out of there, before the explosives destroyed the cloning pods.
"Activate every Genomorph in Cadmus." Desmond said.
Running through the halls, the five new friends kept making their way through the halls, making their way to the elevator.
"We are still 42 levels below ground. But if we can make it to the elevator…" Aqualad stopped talking as several G-Trolls blocked their path.
"Oh no. Desmond's activated the final security system." The Saiyan exclaimed, as the pods behind them, began to glow with several razor Genomorphs popping out of them. "Looks like we're gonna have to fight out way out of here."
The Saiyan thrust her hands forward, hitting the G-Trolls with Ki blasts, while Superboy slammed his fist into the others. Slamming her fists into one of the G-Trolls, the Saiyan girl sent it flying towards the others, knocking them down, and clearing a path for them.
"Superboy, come on, let's go." She said, putting a hand on Superboy's shoulder.
Running for the elevator, The Saiyan girl dug her hands into the seams of the elevator doors, opening the shaft for them.
Grabbing Aqualad, Superboy jumped into the air, expecting to fly, but panicked when he felt gravity pulling him down.
"I, can't fly." He said, before the Saiyan girl grabbed his hand and wrist, and flew through the elevator shaft, while pulling Superboy and Aqualad with her.
"But she can. Must be using the same technique Goku uses for flying." Robin said, before looking up. "Guys, this'll have to be our exit." He said, before the Saiyan girl, used a Ki blast to burst open the doors to sublevel15.
Throwing in Aqualad, and Superboy, Kid Flash and Robin jumped in with the Saiyan flying in, narrowly missing the elevator coming down the shaft.
Running through the hall, the five had no clue of where they were going, but the Saiyan girl and Superboy seemed to be leading them somewhere, as they took a left, and then a right, but found it was a dead end.
"Great directions you two. You trying to get us repoded?" Kid Flash questioned.
"I don't understand." Superboy said.
"Don't apologize, this is perfect." Robin smiled.
The Genomorphs chasing them, turned the corners following their scents, and came to the same dead end, to find no one there, but the vent grate was open and on the ground.
"Ugh at this rate we'll never get out." Kid Flash said, annoyed as they crawled through the vent.
"Well we'd better pick up the pace, because the razor Genomorphs are on our tails." The Saiyan girl said hearing the clattering of the Genomorphs following them.
~Desmond~
"Someone, Robin I'd wager, hacked out systems, deactivating internal security cameras." Desmond said, running through the halls with Guardian and one of the other scientists. "But he neglected the motion sensors. The Genomorphs are closing in, they're all coming out in here." Desmond exclaimed as he lead them to the men's restroom. "We have them cornered."
Waiting for their quarry to come to them, Desmond and the Genomorphs around here were shocked as more Genomorphs came spilling out, with no sign of the sidekicks or weapons.
"He hacked, the motion sensors." Desmond growled.
~Team~
"I hacked the motion sensors." Robin said proudly.
"Sweet." Kid Flash smiled.
"Still plenty of them between us and out." Robin exclaimed.
"But I've finally got room to move." Kid Flash said, pulling his goggles down, before he went running up the emergency stairs, knocking down the Genomorphs that were getting in their way.
"More behind us." Robin said.
As soon as she heard that, the Saiyan girl used a Ki blast to destroy the stairs in several spots, creating a large gap, too big for the Genomorphs to clear in a single bound, while knocking down the ones that were right behind them.
~Desmond~
"We'll cut them off at sublevel1." Guardian said, as he was in the elevator with Genomorphs and Desmond.
"We'd better, or the board will have our heads. My head." Desmond said, before remembering something. "I need to get something from Project Blockbuster, just in case. I'll meet you at Sublevel1." Desmond exclaimed, stopping the elevator and getting out, before it closed again.
~Team~
"Oh crud." Kid Flash said, as he couldn't stop in time, before he hit the gate that sealed off the hall, when the alarm was sounding.
"We're cut off from the street." Aqualad said.
"Thanks, my head hadn't noticed."
"Let me try something." The Saiyan girl said, taking a stance.
"No, I'll handle this one." Superboy said, walking up to the riot gates and punching it, before Aqualad and him, tried prying it open.
"Can't hack this fast enough." Robin said.
"This way." The Saiyan girl said, kicking open a door, as G-Trolls started getting closer.
Leading the way, with the others following suit, the Saiyan girl didn't stop flying even when she spotted all the Genomorphs. Something inside her, something primal, was making her relish the challenge, and excited for the fight, as she slammed her fists into Guardian, knocking him into the wall, and rendering him unconscious, before she began fighting off all the Genomorphs, before she felt a familiar, yet different psychic touch in her mind. Looking back to the team, she saw they were all in a lucid dreamlike state that rendered them harmless.
"It is pointless to struggle. You'll find my mental abilities are far greater than those of our little Gnome brothers." Dubbilex said. "Perhaps for the sake of all Genomorphs, our brother and sister, Superboy and Saiyan, should make up their own minds."
"It was you?" Superboy and the Saiyan girl both said telepathically, remembering that voice leading them to the vent shaft.
"Yes my brother and sister. I set the fire, and lured your new friends down into Cadmus, woke them when they were in danger…"
"An' guided us." Superboy said.
"Why?" The Saiyan girl asked.
"Because the both of you, are our hope." Dubbilex said, reaching into the Saiyan girl's mind, and clearing out all negative images of Goku she'd be forced to learn, and replacing them, with what he knew, was the true face of Goku. "The Genomorph heroes. You will blaze a trail for all our brothers, showing us the way, to freedom."
"Ugh, what's going on?" Guardian questioned, picking himself up as he was no longer under mind control, as the others picked themselves up as well.
"What, is your choice, brother, sister?" Dubbilex asked.
"I, choose, freedom." Superboy and the Saiyan girl said.
"Feels like… fog lifting…" Guardian said.
"Guardian?" Aqualad questioned.
"Go, I'll deal with Desmond." Guardian said.
"I think not." Desmond said, revealing he was behind them. "Project Blockbuster, will give me the power, to restore order to Cadmus." Desmond exclaimed, holding up a vial of the serum, before drinking it.
Almost painful to watch, Desmond's body began to change, and grow, with sickening pops and cracks echoing around the hall, as he turned into a monster, letting out a deafening roar that showed, he was no longer human, with the sclera of his eyes turning black, with the pupils turning red.
"Everyone back." Guardian said, before he went running at Blockbuster, only to be sent flying with a backhand slap.
Almost instantly, Superboy went running at Blockbuster and punched his face, before Blockbuster, hit him in the side of the head with his own fist, knocking the kryptonian to the ground.
Not a second later, the Saiyan girl slammed her fist into Blockbuster, knocking him back, before Superboy slammed him with an uppercut to the jaw, with both his hands clasped together, with a double strike. Taking the opening, the Saiyan girl grabbed Blockbuster by the waist, and flew through the ceiling, using Blockbuster as a battering ram breaking through, to the ground floor, into the main lobby of the building, with Superboy and the others following closely behind.
Following the fighting duo, they were shocked to see the Saiyan girl, holding her own against Blockbuster, as the moonlight shined through the windows, seeming to give her more strength, as the rubbles that had built up around them, began floating through the air, before Desmond knocked her away, to the center of the room.
Looking around, Robin saw that some of the support pillars were already damaged, most likely due to the entry the Saiyan girl made with Blockbuster. That's when he got an idea.
"Superboy, KF, Aqualad, I have a plan." Robin said, bringing up a holographic image of the support pillars in the lobby.
With the Saiyan girl keeping Blockbuster busy, the others got to work on Robin's plan, destroying their designated pillars, as Robin prepped his for destruction, and drew an X on the ground, in chalk.
"Saiyan, bring Blockbuster over here, and hit him with the most powerful attack you have." Robin called out.
Hearing those words, the Saiyan girl pushed Blockbuster back, before jumping in the air, and spin kicked him in the face, sending Blockbuster landing on the X, to where Aqualad spread water on the ground, and froze his feet there, as the Saiyan girl took a wider stance with both her hands to her right side, with the left over the right, as she began to build up her energy for the attack, one in which Robin recognized.
"Kame…"
"Everyone hit the deck, and find cover." Robin called out.
"…hame…"
"Why?" Kid Flash questioned, before seeing the light coming from the Saiyan girl's hands.
"HAAAAAAA!" The Saiyan girl shouted, sending the attack at Blockbuster, hitting him square in the chest, breaking the ice, and sending him to the ground, as the waving energy triggered the explosives Robin placed, causing the entire building to collapse as the final pillars were destroyed.
When the dust of the destroyed building began to settle, the rubble began to move as Aqualad and Superboy removed it from the others, but stopped when they saw the Saiyan girl, digging through a different pile of rubble, her suit completely intact.
"Um, Saiyan?" Robin asked.
The Saiyan girl's head shot up, and she turned around spotting them, sighing in relief before she came down from the pile towards them.
"You're all okay." She said.
"More or less. A few bruises and sore bones but otherwise we're fine." Kid Flash said. 'Now that I'm getting a good look at her, she's smoking hot.'
"I was afraid you'd all gotten crushed in the rubble. I managed to avoid it by surrounding myself in a protective layer of destructive Ki, so any rubble that touched me was instantly destroyed. I'm so glad you're all alive though." She said tears in her eyes.
"What's this? I thought Saiyans were supposed to be tough as nails warriors?" Robin chuckled.
"Sorry, I'm just so happy none of you are dead." She smiled pulling Superboy in for a hug.
"Hey look." Kid Flash said, pointing their attention upwards. "The moon."
As they looked up at the moon, two flying figures came into view, both being someone neither of them expected to meet right after their liberations.
"Oh, Superman and Goku to." Kid Flash said. "Do we keep our promises or what?" He asked, as the Saiyan girl hid behind Goku. Since Dubbilex had given her the actual memories of what Goku was like, she's been nervous about meeting him, since she was designed to kill him if he ever came back to earth.
"Well, looks like you guys had quite the party." Goku said, landing on the ground, as the rest of the League surrounded the area of what used to be Cadmus. "Did you have fun?"
"You… could say it was an adventure." Robin exclaimed.
With the rest of the Leaguers gathered around, Superboy stepped forward, with the Saiyan girl following close behind him, and placed the torn symbol of his suit, back on his chest, causing the other Leaguers eyes to go wide.
"Is that what I think it is?" Batman questioned.
"He doesn't like being called an, it." Kid Flash said.
"I am the Superboy. Superman's clone." He said.
"So, who's your friend behind you?" Goku asked.
"Um… well." The Saiyan girl took in a deep breath and stepped out from behind Superboy, showing she wore a black version of Superboy's suit. "I'm not a clone of Superman. I'm actually, Son Goku's clone."
"But… you're wearing the S and everything." Goku said.
"My project code name was Super Saiyan, SS, for short." She said.
"Start talking." Batman exclaimed.
~One Explanation Later~
"So, you're really my clone huh?" Goku asked, sitting beside the Saiyan girl. "An explanation like the one you all gave, would have been impossible to make up and agree to, on the fly. What's your name?"
"I, don't have one." She said.
"Whatever the case, I'm just glad you don't wanna kill me anymore." Goku smiled.
"Yeah. I'm glad to." She smiled.
"I suppose, since I am technically your father, what with you having my DNA and all, I should give you a name." Goku said. "Anything you'd like in particular?"
"Would… would you be able to give me a traditional Saiyan name?" She asked him.
"I'm afraid, I can't. I was only a baby myself when I was sent to my Earth, and Planet Vegeta was destroyed." Goku said. "So I can't give you a traditional Saiyan name."
"T-that's fine." She said. "Anything you pick for me, will work."
"Great." Goku smiled, before looking to one of his comrades. "Hey Wonder Woman." Goku called to the Amazonian. "Can you come over here a sec?"
With the woman finishing up what she was talking about with Martian Manhunter and Superman, she came over to them, as Superman went over to Superboy and the others.
"What's up Goku?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Hey, let me ask you, do you know any names for a deity of war?" Goku inquired.
"Ares and Athena are the only names I know for deities of war." Wonder Woman said. "There are other deities from other cultures. I think one of them would be good for her. How about Kali, the Hindu Goddess of Darkness, and several other titles?"
"I like it." The Saiyan girl said.
"Well, I guess I have a name for you then." Goku said, turning to his clone/daughter. "Welcome to the family, Kali."
"Wait… why were you wanting to name her after the Goddess of War?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Well think about it. She's a Saiyan Warrior, who defeated Blockbuster, practically all on her own, while not once having seen the outside world. I'd say it fits." Goku smiled. "But Kali does suit her better."
"Hey, Saiyan." Robin called to her.
"Your friends are calling." Goku said. "Let's go see what they want."
With her name picked out, Kali came back to the group, facing Batman, Flash, and Aquaman.
"Cadmus will be investigated. All 52 levels." Batman said. "But let's make one thing clear."
"You should have called." Flash said.
"End results aside, we are not happy." Batman said. "You hacked Justice League systems, disobeyed direct orders, and endangered lives. You will not, be doing this again."
"Now hold up Bats." Goku said. "They did good work here. They've shown they're ready for their own missions. Sure this job went off the rails, but 90% of the time, the first plan always does."
"I am sorry Batman. But we will, be doing this again." Aqualad said.
"Aqualad, stand down." Aquaman exclaimed.
"Apologies my King, but no." Aqualad stated firmly. "As Son Goku said, we did good work here tonight. The work you trained us to do. Together, on our own we forge something powerful, important."
"If this is about your treatment at the hall, the three of you…"
"The five of us, and it's not." Kid Flash said, interrupting his mentor.
"Batman, we're ready to use what you taught us, or why teach us at all?" Robin questioned.
"Why let them, tell us what to do?" Superboy questioned, stepping up. "It's simple, get on board, or get out of the way."
The five teens stood their ground, something Goku seemed a bit proud of them for doing, mainly though, he was proud of Kali.
~July 8th Mount Justice~
"This cave was the original secret sanctuary of the Justice League." Batman said. "We're calling it into service again." He exclaimed, walking in front of the five new sidekicks, dressed in their casual wear, all except for Kali.
The Saiyan clone continued to wear her Solar suit, but had the additions of a pair of jean shorts, and a jean jacket with a circle on the back of her shoulder blades, similar in design to Goku's own Kanji symbol, but her Kanji symbol said, Super Saiyan, with the outfit finishing it off with a blue sash around her waist, and a pair of kung fu slippers over the bottom feet of her solar suit, and a pair of fingerless gloves.
"Since you five are determined to stay together, and fight the good fight, you'll do it on League terms." Batman continued. "Red Tornado volunteered to live here, and be your supervisor, Black Canary, and sometimes Goku whenever he's around, is in charge of training. I will deploy you on mission."
"Real missions?" Robin asked.
"Yes, but covert." Batman said.
"The League will still handle the obvious stuff. There's a reason we have these big targets on our chests." Flash said.
"But Cadmus proves the bad guys are getting smarter. Batman needs a team that can operate on the sly." Aquaman said.
"The six of you, will be that team." Batman said.
"Cool, wait six?" Robin asked.
Looking behind them, Batman's change of view caused the five teammates to look behind them to see Manhunter and a young girl with green skin, and red hair.
"This is the Manhunter's niece, Ms. Martian." Batman said.
"Hi." She said.
"Liking this gig more, every minute." Kid Flash smiled, before he was jabbed in the chest by Kali's elbow.
"Finally, I'm not the only girl on the team." She smiled walking to Ms. Martian. "Welcome to the team. I'm Kali, that's Kid Flash, Robin, Aqualad, and Superboy."
"It's cool if you forget all their names, and just remember mine." Kid Flash smiled, before he was sent headfirst into the ground, by a punch from behind from Kali's fist.
"Ignore him, for everything he says, is filled with the urge to impregnate something." Kali said, dusting off her hands.
"Kali, you and I have somewhere to be right now." Goku said. "We should probably get going, or we're gonna be late for your lesson with Vegeta."
"Coming dad." Kali sighed. "Sorry, looks like you'll have to suffer without me for a while."
"It's not a problem. Go have fun with your training." Ms. Martian said.
"I'll be back as soon as possible." Kali said, before Goku grabbed her shoulder, and used Instant Transmission to leave the base, and head for his planet.
~Capsule Corp~
"Damn that Kakarot, why in the world would he ask to meet with me today of all days?" Another Saiyan with a large widow's peak questioned, pacing around the courtyard with a blue haired woman sunbathing in a bikini, and a purple haired kid, shadowboxing in a green Gi.
"Oh relax Vegeta. I'm sure Goku has a reasonable explanation for it." Bulma said, lowering her sun reflector.
"Hey mom, you think he's coming by with a secret child he had behind Aunt Chichi's back?" Trunks asked.
"Now Trunks, why would you even suggest such a thing? Goku is a sweet and honest man who would never do something so adulterous." Bulma said. "He's probably just coming by to have a sparring match with Vegeta and RSVP for my birthday party on the cruise liner in a couple weeks."
"Hey everyone." Goku said, appearing with Instant Transmission at the Capsule Corp courtyard. "How's it going?"
"Kakarot…" Vegeta said, sensing someone. "Who's that hiding behind you?"
"Oh, hey get out here and say hello to everyone Kali." Goku said looking behind them.
"I can't dad, I'm nervous." Kali said.
"Dad?" Bulma and Vegeta questioned, their eyes going wide.
"I knew it." Trunks cheered victoriously. "Pay up dad. 300 Zeni."
"Oh fine." Vegeta groaned, giving Trunks three slips of paper money.
"You two were gambling on what the reason was?" Bulma questioned.
"Get out here right now Kali." Goku said.
"Fine." Kali sighed, coming out from behind Goku. "Uh, hi everyone. My name's Kali. It's a pleasure to meet you all."
"At least she's not a bumbling idiot with her formal introductions like her father." Vegeta said.
"Alright buster, you better start explaining yourself right now, before I call Chichi and tell her about this." Bulma shouted, getting in his face.
"Well you see… it's kind of a long story." Goku chuckled nervously.
