I don't own one piece. Don't sue me, Oda, please
...
Luffy stood alone, the final treasure was his, it was right there, the One piece in all of its glory. Yet Luffy didn't feel any fuller, there was no sense of accomplishment, no happy feeling, and he knew why. Behind him lay the graves of his Nakama, the people who had saved him at his worst, the people who had seen him as more than just a dreamer, the people who had joined him, the people he called family, all dead.
Tears streamed down the face of the pirate king as resolve filled him. He turned to face the graves. "I'm sorry," he murmured, before walking calmly to the Thousand Sunny. He looked at the ship for a moment before boarding. "Let's go," he murmured.
The ship started moving, unleashing itself, it turned and began at full speed heading out of the river. Luffy sat on the lion's head with his eyes closed as they exited the river, returning once more to the grand line.
A loud snarling voice rang out as the Sunny passed into the great sea. "So pirate king, are you ready to face your end," it said, and Luffy opened his eyes to face Sakazuki and the navy fleet that followed him before nodding.
Determination filled his eyes, "this will be over before you can say let's go," Luffy declared.
The Fleet Admiral laughed, "Really straw hat, we both know that you have no chance against an awakened fruit without another awakened fruit." Luffy swung his arm out faster than anyone could see and a hole appeared in Sakazuki's chest.
"That should shut you up," Luffy smirked. Before launching his fist again taking off Sakazuki's head. Luffy faced the fleet raising his arms "final use, rubber sea," he roared as the sea around him started turning into rubber. "Gear second," he muttered, before shooting off into the sunny and over the new sea of rubber. He smashed into the first warship causing it to explode. His leg swung out, chopping another in half with sheer force. At an alarming speed, he destroyed ship after ship until all that remained was the ship carrying the admirals.
"I do not want to kill straw hat, but you choose violence," Fujitora declared before unsheathing his blade.
"You killed all of my friends," Luffy roared. As he swung towards the blind admiral causing Issho's chest to break. The admiral replied with a slash slicing Luffy's left arm off cleanly. Luffy roared in anger before snapping the admiral's sword in half and forcing the broken blade down on his neck.
Behind him, Borsalino attacked in an attempt to pierce Luffy with his light sword but Luffy simply covered himself in Haki. Then he turned and punched the Pika Pika no mi user in the face, removing the head of the now-former admiral. Finally, he turned to Ryokugyu as the marine admiral swung down his blade. Luffy sighed before dodging his swing. The admiral swung again, this time nicking Luffy on his other shoulder. Luffy swung his remaining fist and put a hole in Ryokugyu's chest, before leaving the last ship and walking back to the sun.
"So this is it," Luffy murmured, as darkness began to creep upon him. He lay down on the deck of the Thousand Sunny, as memories flowed through his mind the sea slowly reverting back from rubber as his power drained towards zero. "I'll see you soon guys, he murmured as a picture of Hancock entered his mind, quickly following Hancock was Zoro, then Ace, then Nami and Usopp, and Sanji. Chopper followed Sanji after a moment and Robin followed him along with Vivi. Franky and Brook came next, then Jimbei and Sabo, then Pudding joined Sanji, and Hiyori joined Zoro, and finally, altogether he saw them all.
"I did it guys, he whispered his voice barely loud enough for him to hear himself. "I did it, but it doesn't feel right. I wish I could do it again, find the one-piece with you all again. I wish I could have saved you all, but I couldn't. I fulfilled my dreams but you never finished yours." Luffy continued, tears once again streaming down his face. "Thank you, and I'll see you soon my friends," he finished as his eyes closed for the final time.
Your wish has been granted.
