Hey what's up guys, I just finished this chapter and it was awesome. This was one of the many scenes that I wanted to get out of the way for quite some time, my inspiration for this chapter came from a few horror movies that I watched during the past two months and from a old horror game that I've recently started playing. Cry of fear for those who are familiar with the name, I never really had the guts to play horror game tbh but I decided to give this game a chance and I really like it so far. Like I said in the previous chapter, things are about to get interesting, this is just the beginning. Also, remember that this story is gonna get dark in the future, just not any time soon since this is only the beginning obliviously. But there will be some moments here and there, this story isn't going to be all sunshine and rainbows so if you're not comfortable with that then you are free to leave. I'd rather you guys make your decision now rather then waiting for me to go further just to go and complain in the reviews sections of how you're sensitive heart can't take it anymore, nobody has done that yet but I'm just warning you. I'm not going to leave a warnings for each chapter except if it's really needed, so keep that in mind.

Anyways, don't forget to leave your thoughts about what you guys think of this chapter or story. I read all the comments so don't feel as if I'm ignoring them. Oh, and I updated the summary, because I felt that it needed a rework.

Take care and i'll see you guys in the next one! Peace!

Erebus eyes twitched as he was getting frustrated from having to check every corner of the streets to find the location that would lead him towards the sewer, it has not even been an hour and he already regretted accepting this mission. Having enough of walking in circles, Erebus stopped in his tracks and pulled out the device that Jackass had given him to look up his position. As he turned on the device he couldn't help but to frown as he saw some strange symbols on the screen that seemed to change every second before suddenly stopping, however he didn't know what to do next. He tried to concentrate on the pattern that Jackass had shown him and managed to remember most of it before typing it on the screen, a map soon appeared in front of his eyes which showed what he could only assume what his current location. Erebus raised a eyebrow as he continued walking while occasionally glancing at the device in his hands, there wasn't any machines near him which made wonder where could they be hiding.

'This is getting me nowhere, I can't carry on like this. I need altitude if I ever want to reach my destination.' Erebus thought with irritation as he looked around his surroundings before his eyes rested on a small building across the street, he quickly sprinted towards a rusted truck and jumped on the roof. Rapidly, Erebus bounced from the vehicles and gripped the border of the window before quickly pulling himself up and landed inside a room. The first thing he noticed that the room was barely illuminated, everything looked old and rusted. As Erebus walked through the room, he noticed a large sized bed that was covered in dust and a crimson liquid. Slowly, he made his way towards the bed and touch the liquid in his hands before smelling it. 'Blood?' Erebus thought before narrowing his eyes as he realised that the substance between his fingers was fresh, it surprised him that someone had used this room as a temporary hideout. Turning his head, he noticed a small picture on top of a wooden table near the bed.

He carefully made his way towards the table and took the picture in his hand, inside the picture could be seen a cathedral surrounded with trees. 'What kind of person keeps a picture like this? Well, It wouldn't surprise me if it belonged to a zealot...' Carefully, Erebus put down the picture and made his way towards the window where he entered and pulled out his device. He pressed on the screen and saw that his location had changed, he quickly lifted his head and stared at the immense view of the city ruins that could be seen through the window. Erebus eyes narrowed as he saw a small alleyway that was between two metal fences, he concluded that this must've been the place he was looking for all along. After putting the device away, he jumped out from the window and caught a tree's branch before letting himself touch the ground. 'Now I just need to follow the directions.' He sprinted towards his destination while passing by many trees and animals. Erebus didn't know why he absolutely wanted to reach the amusement park as fast as possible, perhaps it was his curiosity that prompted him to find out what was awaiting for him once he arrived. Either ways, it didn't matter to him. As long as he learned more about the strange world in which he awoken, he wouldn't complain.

'I've passed this area countless times and this device didn't even bother showing me that I was at the right place all along...' Erebus bitterly thought as he finally reached the location that his device had showed him, it was the second time that he saw a area protected by metals fences which made him wonder if this territory belonged the resistance camp. Slowly, Erebus walked pass the fences and observed his surroundings. There wasn't much to see except more fences and a moose that was staring at him from the corner, he soon stopped in front of a white ladder that seemed to be connected to a underground area.

Erebus peaked his head to look down where the ladder was continuing and saw nothing but pitch black, his silvery eyes glanced around him until he saw some small pebbles laying on the ground. He took some in his hands and dropped them inside the hole while listening for the pebbles to reach the bottom, soon a splashing sound could be heard which reassured him as he wouldn't be forced to walk through the sewer's dirt. 'That's not very deep.' Erebus thought as his hands reached towards his hood before removing it, he doubted that there would be anyone living inside the sewers which meant that he could finally breathe without having to hide his face. If someone was to discover his identity then he would make sure that no words would reach the resistance camp. After some moments of reflection, Erebus gripped the ladder and began descending down into the sewers. ''This is it...''

Dark and cold, this is what Erebus felt as he quietly walked through the sewer's narrowed path. His grey eyes were frantically glancing all around him as the sound of the water canalisation filled his ears, he could barely see anything which resulted him in tracing his hand along the walls so that he could get a sense of direction. The eerie silence that surrounded him only made him more anxious than he already was, along with the sound of his heartbeats that only seemed to become louder with each step he took into the sewer's depths. Erebus took a deep breath as he carefully navigated through the pathway, his instinct were screaming at him, alerting him that he wasn't alone in this place. 'I need light or else I'm never going to escape this place.' Erebus thought before lifting his hand to summon a red orb in his palm, his expression softened as his vision was clearer than before. While he couldn't use this sort of magic as a weapon of destruction, he was thankful that it could be utilised as a tool.

Erebus halted his movements and snapped his head towards the sudden sound of what could only be described as a groan coming from a distant path far further from him, he couldn't see anything ahead of him since the light coming from his orb wasn't strong enough to illuminate the entire area. Slowly, he continued to strode the tunnels while observing his surroundings until he stood in front of a entrance that was blocked by debris. 'Was this path blocked intentionally? Or was it just an accident?' Erebus wondered as he began searching for another way of leaving this place, he lifted his red orb to illuminate his vision further and saw another path at the opposite side of where he was standing. After some moments, Erebus crossed the pathway while making sure that nothing caught him by surprise before continuing making his way towards the end of the tunnel.

After what felt like hours, Erebus sighed as he finally reached a familiar white ladder. He was thankful that he managed to find his way without losing his sanity inside these tunnels, he noticed that most of the sewer's path were mostly blocked by debris which made him feel as if he was being trapped inside a labyrinth. He absolutely despised the feeling of being lost and vulnerable, it made feel him weak, something he had sworn to himself to never become no matter what happens. Taking a deep breath, Erebus held the ladder and began climbing it.

''Wh...e...re...''

Erebus froze as his eyes went wide, he heard it again, the same strange noise that he kept hearing since he arrived here. Only this time, it sounded more like whispers. Erebus immediately dropped down from the ladder and draw out his sword while summoning another red orb in hand to help him navigate towards the source of the strange sound, each step he took echoed within the tunnels that seemed to grow narrower as he continued walking through the depths of the sewers. His grey eyes narrowed as he reached a dead end, however, he noticed a hole giant within the wall before him. After some consideration, Erebus decided to enter the hole while making sure to not stumble on something.

'It's even darker than before.' Erebus thought as he walked ahead while pushed his red orb in front of him to illuminate his path, he continued walking until he tripped on something soft beneath his boots. Curiously, Erebus brought his eyes down to see what he had tripped over and was confused to see his armour boots soaked in blood. His body went rigid as his eyes were fixated on a severed hand laying on the ground, surrounded by a puddle of blood.

''...He...llo...?''

Startled, Erebus quickly snapped his head towards him and focused on the brightness of his orb until he was satisfied. His eyes stared in shock at the gruesome sight that he would have never thought to witness while exploring this place, he kneeled in front of what he presumed was the source of the occasional whispers and groan he kept hearing for hours.

In front of him was a barely covered woman slumped against a wall, her legs were missing, along with her arms, almost as if they had be forcefully ripped out from her body. But what disturbed him the most was the lack of facial features that could be seen on her bloodied face, her eyes were absent, there was just empty sockets with small wires that came out of the holes. Most of her cheek's flesh were torn apart, which caused him to clearly see what was beneath her skin.

''An android...?'' Erebus silently muttered to himself as he observed the unmoving woman before being startled by a sudden movement, he could only watch in disgust as she slowly turned her head to look at him or at he assumed was an attempt to know where he was. Her mouth was slightly hanging open as she tried moving her jaw, which only disturbed him further. 'How is she still breathing? She shouldn't be able to even move in her current state.'

''Who...are...you?'' The severed android asked in a raspy tone as she tried to keep herself conscious.

Erebus silently stared at her, his silver eyes devoid of emotions as he quietly draw out his sword. He wasn't going to take any risk by allowing someone to knowing his identity. She seemed to perked up at the sound and soon began shaking uncontrollably, making him frown in return.

''...You're one of them?!'' She scaredly asked while trying to cover herself with her missing limbs, ''What more do you want from me?! Please, just leave me alone...''

''...One of who?'' Erebus curiously asked as he wondered who she could possibly be referring to, his teeth gritted as he began hearing her weeping. ''Answer me or else you won't like what I'm about to do.''

''Scavengers!'' The damaged android choked out as she remembered the horrific torture they put her and her friend's through. ''I swear, we were going to repay them back! We were just coming back from scouting the east city's library for books, but then we got ambushed by a group of machines. One of them managed to pulverise her leg and we didn't have any spare parts on us to fix her leg, or to even replace it, I carried her on my back for hours until we reached a small camp, we didn't know this territory belonged to them! We thought it was an abandoned place since there was nobody present when we arrived.''

'Scavengers?' Erebus thought as the name sounded strangely familiar to him. ''And? What happened after?'' He impatiently asked as he wanted for her to finish telling her story.

''And then...'' Her voice grew weaker as she tried remembering what followed after. ''They...came back and caught us searching through their supplies, we...didn't have time to explain ourselves when they rushed at us with their swords. After making sure that none of us were able to move, they decided to...kill my friend, they forced me to watch, no matter how much I begged them to stop.''

Erebus listened to her story without saying a word, his mind was preoccupied with the scavengers that she had encountered. He couldn't help but to feel as if he had already heard about this story, but he couldn't recall from where. What interested him was knowing how she could have ended up inside the sewers without having most of her limbs, he highly doubted that she had crawled all this way by herself without the use of her arms.

''After...they were done with...her, they dragged me inside a small building before doing the same thing as they had done to my friend. I was still conscious when they finished with me, the pain was...unbearable.'' The severed android's voice began to quiver.

''That doesn't explain how you managed to get here.'' Erebus interjected as he wanted to know how she ended inside the wall.

''...To make sure nobody would...discover my body, they threw me down here and left without looking back. When I first got here, I managed to crawl through the tunnels with my remaining arm that was barely...holding into pieces. But after some time, I lost my...arm along the way, my sensory system soon began malfunctioning. It was my only source of navigation left since I didn't have...eyes anymore.'' Her head slightly hunched over as she tried to use every ounce of strength within herself to finish her story. ''I didn't have a...choice but to his my chin to help me move forward, I ignored the pain in my jaw and continued...until I managed to push myself inside this...place.''

Erebus couldn't believe what he had just heard, she had managed to survive all this time by dragging herself across these tunnels like an injured animal. He didn't know whether to be impressed or disturbed by what she had managed to accomplish. He couldn't help but to stare at her damaged body, there was no doubt that she didn't have much longer to live and her weakened voice only reinforced his belief. Slowly, Erebus moved closer to her while readying his sword.

''...What are you going to do with...me?'' She asked as her chest rise and fall at every word she managed to muster. ''Did they...send you to finish me off?''

''Those scavengers you've mentioned, what did they look like?'' Erebus asked while ignoring her question. He needed to know what those people resembled in order to confirm his suspicions. ''There was two of them, correct?''

She gave a weak nod at his assumption and began thinking on their appearance. It took her some time before slowly remembering some details, ''One had...Blonde hair, while the other one had black hair.''

Erebus frowned as the memories of a certain duo came resurfacing in his mind, ''One was wielding two swords while the other one had a great axe?''

''Yes, that's...correct.'' She confirmed while being surprised that this strange person knew exactly what they resembled like, it became clear to her that he wasn't a scavenger, which confused her even more as she wondered who this mysterious person was. ''How...did you know that? Did you also encounter them? Did they tortu-''

''I killed them both.''

''You...killed them?''

''Yes.'' Erebus simply said while observing what remained of her bruised face. An eerie silence took over them before she mustered the strength to what he presumed what an attempt to smile at him.

''...Thank you so much, for...avenging her'' the damaged woman said before slightly lifting her head and offered him a faint smile. ''You know, my friend wished nothing more than for this war to finally end. I remember...the day when I first met her at the resistance camp, both of us had lost many allies throughout the years but maybe...that's what brought us closer together in the first place. I...hope that you'll live long enough to see this...war finally end, that you'll celebrate that day with your...loved ones, something that many androids won't...have the chance to experience. I know we've just met, but whoever...you are, i'm glad to have spoken to you. Being...lonely can mess with your mind, it slowly eats you...away until you began hallucinating things that aren't real, and that's when you fall into despair.''

Erebus didn't reply, he silently stared at her as he moved closer to her body, the only sound that could be heard were the droplets of water that leaked from the metal pipes above them. He could see the agony all over her face, he knew what needed to be done, he needed to show her mercy.

''I have one last favour to ask of you.'' She requested while straightening her back. ''I don't... have the strength to carry on fighting in this...war, neither do I want to anymore. So, I was wondering if you...''

Erebus tightened the grip on his sword and bought it towards her chest, he could see the relief all over her face as he pressed the tip of his blade against her.

''Before we...part ways, what's your... name?'' She calmly asked while struggling to keep herself from slouching.

''...Erebus.''

''Ere...bus, that's unique.'' she mused the name on her lips before turning her head towards him. ''Do you think...I did good by trying to survive...as much as I..could in this...war?''

Erebus frowned as he thought about what to say before gently guiding her severed body towards the ground, he decided to give her some closure before finishing their conversation. ''You fought for your life until the very end, despite your current state. Many wouldn't had the strength to accomplish what you did, you should be proud of yourself, woman.

''Thank you, this...means...a lot...to me.''

In a swift motion, Erebus plunged his sword through her chest, caused her to cry out in pain before silence soon took over the room. He watched her bruised body going limp before carefully removing his blade and stood up from her corpse, his eyes glanced down at his sword stained in blood with a neutral expression before walking towards where he came from. As Erebus was about to exit the room, he spared one last glance behind himself and was meet by a pair of empty eyes sockets that seemed to stare right back at him, right into his soul. After some moment, he turned around and exited the room as the blood dripping down from his blade trailed behind him.

''Commander, we require your authorisation to proceed with the exchange of materials and equipments with the resistance camp located in the city ruins.''

''Very well, go ahead and authorise the trade.'' Commander white nodded towards the Operator that seemed to write down on her device before walking away towards the group of Operators that were patiently waiting for her response. Sighing, commander white walked towards the center of command's room while occasionally greeting units that noticed her approaching. It was been an exhausting week for her, having to fill out hundreds of documents while also making sure they were a step ahead of their enemies in their plans was enough to mentally drain her. Her ears perked up at the gasp and whispers from coming from various units all around her as she walked through the room, she was aware that many of her subordinates were obsessed with her which she found quite disturbing and flattering at the same time.

''Look, she's here!''

''Ugh, I can't take my eyes off her! Watching her walk is so hypnotising!''

''Do you think she's secretly dating someone?''

''I doubt it...''

''Everyone, keep quiet and get back to work! Or else I'll report each single one of you to the commander!''

Shaking her head, commander white ignored the remarks directed at her and stopped in front of a panel. She began analysing the informations displayed on the screen in front of her eyes until the sound of someone clearing their throat caught her attention. Glancing behind herself, the blonde Yorha leader was confused to see 210 standing behind her while holding some documents in her hands.

''Is there something you wish to discuss about?'' Commander white asked before her green eyes flickered towards the documents that 210 was holding. ''If this is about the supplies that we were supposed to send on the moon then that will have to wait, we have more important matters on our hands at the moment.''

''No commander, this isn't about the supplies.'' 210 said while looking through her documents before handing over a page to her leader. ''This is more concerning, it's about the recent reports that has been send to the bunker by Yorha units that were patrolling the city ruins. Two resistance members corpses have been found dead near the resistance camp perimeters, inside an alleyway to be more precise.''

''I'm already aware of this case, unit 11B has informed us about the scene-''

''This is a different case commander, the ones that 11B described us were scavengers. These ones were part of a resistance camp, please take the document and see for yourself.'' 210 said while still extending the documents towards the Yorha leader.

The commander white hesitantly took the document and began reading it, her brows contracted as she kept analysing each datas before looking back towards the blonde operator before her. ''I don't see what makes this case so special, they were just another pair of androids who had the misfortune of being ambushed by machines at the wrong place.''

''What makes this case interesting, is the circumstances in which the both of them died.'' 210 explained as her eyes remained on the documents that she was holding. ''The first android died with a stab wound located at his stomach, while the other one died from an unknown cause since there weren't any visible wounds on his body.''

''What exactly are you trying to say 210?'' The commander white asked while resting a hand on her hips. She noticed the strange tone that came from the blonde operator but dismissed it as nothing worth to be concerned with.

''It wasn't any machine that killed them commander, All the clues we've gathered leads us to believe that the machine responsible for their deaths is also the same machine that unit 4S and 2B fought in the city ruins.'' 210 replied while staring into the Yorha leader's eyes. ''Normally, when machines kill androids, they don't leave precise wounds on their bodies. Which isn't the case of the first android, and we certainly haven't had reports of machines being sophisticated enough to invent swords that were thinner than a wrist.''

'There's only one machine that would be capable of committing such disturbing acts.' Commander white thought as she remembered the gruesome details that a certain battle unit had described her when talking to her through the communication line a week ago. ''And what about the second android? How are we certain that he wasn't affected by a virus which would have caused him to kill his partner? For all we know, it wouldn't be a surprise if the machines managed to create a virus that would affect older generations of androids. That would explain why one of them died without sustaining any injuries.''

''In other circumstances, you would've been correct Commander. However, our scanners detected no virus within the deceased android's programs. Which means that the machine behind this android's death must've resorted towards a traditional way of killing without the use of weapons.'' 210 said with a matter of fact tone before taking a deep breath. ''We believe that the android in question must've been chocked to death, which was unheard of from machines life forms up until now. The machine that murdered these two androids knew exactly what it was doing commander.''

''There's no mistaking then, Erebus is the one behind the slaughter of these two androids.'' Commander white's concluded before her eyes narrowed. ''What exactly do we know about Erebus?''

210 took her tablet and began searching through the bunker's database for any information they had discovered. ''For what we've gathered so far, he appears to be a humanoid machine with proficient swordsmanship. I would go as far to say that his skill is on par with our latest battle models, even above since was able to defeat every single android in his path. As for his origins, his first appearance was recorded in the forest kingdom which isn't that surprising since this place is mostly known for inhabiting a vast amount of machines.''

''I see, to think that he just appeared out of the blue one day before successfully defeating one of the best series of units that Yorha has to offer. And now he has a personal vendetta against the resistance members.'' Commander white said as her eyes glanced towards the massive screen before her. ''Who would've thought that one single machine would soon turned out to become the biggest threat that the army of humanity has ever faced in centuries...''

''Commander, he's too dangerous to be left roaming around the city ruins. His humanoid appearance is identical to any androids, which means that he could easily blend in with other groups of androids. We should take the necessary measures towards this situation before it's too late, the fact that we haven't heard of him for quite some time is very concerning. This proves that he understands that in order to keep continuing his killing spree, he needs to keep himself hidden from Yorha and any possible military organisation associated with the army of humanity. We should contact the resistance camp immed-''

''We are not contacting the resistance camp.'' Commander white sternly said before turning her head towards 210 who slightly recoiled by her harsh tone. ''If anyone ask about what happened to these two androids, then we will let them know that they didn't have the strength to carry on fighting in this war and decided to take each other's lives. This case is now confidential, absolutely no one on earth except Yorha personal is to learn about this. Is that understood?''

'She wants us to disguise their murders as suicide?' 210 thought as her green eyes observe the commander's expression. ''Yes commander, we will make sure that no informations leaks out.''

''Good, now if that's all you wished to discuss about then I will take my leave. My presence is required elsewhere. If anyone needs me while I'm absent, then tell them they'll have to wait until I return.''

''Yes, commander.'' 210 said as she stepped aside and let the Yorha leader walk past her before making her way towards the room's elevator, her eyes watched the commander disappearing above the operator's floor before relaxing her shoulders. While she wasn't the type to question her leader's decisions, she couldn't help but to think that there was something strange about the commander white sudden decision to classify the cases of these two androids. 'Why wouldn't commander white inform the resistance camp about this machine? There's a chance that Erebus has already managed to infiltrate their ranks, wouldn't it be wiser for the commander to instead warn the resistance's leader in the city ruins so that they can verify every member that display abnormal behaviour?

''Hey 210! How is it going!''

210 sighed as she saw 60 rapidly walked towards her with a joyful expression while a small group of operator followed after her, she didn't know what 60 had planned but she certainly wasn't going to be part of it. ''I'm doing fine, I was just finishing sorting out my documents.''

''Well that's good news! I just finished my shift and so did the girls!'' 60 said as she mentioned towards the small group of operators that were chatting between themselves. ''We're gonna spend some time between us and I was wondering if you-''

''No.''

''Hey! I didn't even finish what I was trying to say.'' 60 said as she pouted at the stoic operator who seemed to not pay any attention to what she had to say.

''I already know what you're going to ask me 60, and I'm telling you that I don't have the time for this.'' 210 replied as she began walking towards the elevator before being blocked midway by 60 who stood in front of her and grasped her shoulders.

''C'mon don't be like that, you need some time off just like everyone else in this bunker. Even the commander takes more breaks than you!'' 60 said as she tried to convince her to join them, she knew that 210 wasn't acting like her usual self these days which is why she was trying her best to prevent the workaholic operator from having a burnout. ''It will be fun! We'll talk about many things, like our love interest-''

''I am not participating in your group's activities, and certainly not if it's just to hear more of your failed relationships.'' 210 said with an impassive tone, she had better things to do then to listen to their pointless conversations.

''Now you're just being mean! And I'll let you know that I don't have any failed relationships.'' 60 protested as she scolded at 210 before shamefully looking away. ''It's just that love is...complicated...''

''I wouldn't know about that since unlike you, I don't waste my energy on these pointless concepts.'' 210 replied with boredom in her voice. ''I've wasted enough time here, I'm going to my room so that I can finish classifying my reports without being disturbed.''

60 didn't have the time to reply as 210 removed herself from her grasp and continued walking ahead, she tried to formulate any argument to convince 210 from leaving but nothing came to her mind. A small smirk soon appeared on her lips as a idea suddenly clicked inside her mind. ''Weeell, I guess we're gonna have to forget about the recent things we learned about human families since 210 won't be joining us girls.''

''That's a shame, here I was hoping that 210 could help us have a better understanding of the recents data that our scanners were able to discover.''

''Aww, why does she always leave when we're about to do anything interesting!''

''Maybe she just has better things to do, we shouldn't force her.''

''I know, I know girls. But there's nothing we can do about it for-'' 60 smirk grew even wide as she heard footsteps slowly approaching towards her, she always knew how to make the workaholic operator crack.

''20 minutes.''

''Hm? 20 minutes of what?'' 60 asked innocently as she turned her head to see 210 standing behind her with her arm crossed.

''20 mins is all that I'm ready to spare to hear about the recent information that you have gathered about human families.'' 210 replied as she blankly stared at 60 who beamed at her.

''Really?! That's wonderful, you're not gonna regret it!'' 60 happily said before turning her attention back towards the group of operators that were listening to their exchanges with curiosity all over their faces. ''You heard her girls! Let's get out of here before 210 change her mind!''

210 watched the operators walking past her and make their ways towards the elevator, her mind was preoccupied with the commander strange attitude towards the murders of the two resistance members until 60 grasped her hand and dragged her across the room where the group of operators were patiently waiting for them. 'I'm definitely going to regret this.' 210 thought as everyone stepped inside the elevator while talking about various subjects.

''That must be the place.'' Erebus muttered to himself as he climbed up the ladder and exited the sewer, he rapidly covered his eyes as the sun was shining brighter than when he had left the resistance camp. Curiously, Erebus observed his surroundings and was surprised to see what he believed were the tallest trees he had ever seen throughout his entire existence. As he walked through what he presumed was a secluded forest, he couldn't help but to feel slightly nervous as the sound of multiple explosions filled his ears. He hoped that Jackass hadn't tricked him into sending him in the middle of a crossfire between two factions, because he certainly had no intention of becoming a prisoner of war. He would prefer being executed rather than becoming someone's prisoner. He was ready to slaughter anyone necessary in order to keep his freedom, he couldn't tolerate the thought of being at the hands of someone's else mercy.

Erebus was astonished by the sight before him, his eyes stared at the colourful sparkling that covered the sky, erupting with each passing seconds. 'So that's what I kept hearing since I got here...' He thought as he walked through the small path that lead towards the entrance surrounded by small barriers, he couldn't help but to admire the strange castle that was surrounded by metal rails. Everything felt so unreal to him, he felt stranded in a deserted world that was completely devoid of any meaning. Erebus was brought out of his thought by a small machine who stood in front of him, both of them silently stared at each other's until the machine extended a small flyers towards him.

''Welcome to the amusement park, we hope that you'll enjoy your stay and that you'll try out our latest attractions like the others.''

Erebus blankly stared at the machine before pulling out his device, he searched through the information that were displayed on the screen while occasionally glancing at the small machine that seemed to watch him with curiosity. He stopped searching through the device as he finally founded what he needed, he put the device he was holding beside the machine and began comparing them. 'That's not the machine I'm after.'

''Is there something-''

Erebus snatched the flyer from the machine's hand and walked past the barriers while ignoring the small machine offer to guide him through the amusement park, he wasn't in the mood for guidance, he was here for a killing mission, not for vacations. As he walked through the center of the park, he noticed the occasional machine that were stared at him, which caused him to glare at them until he stood in front of a fountain. '

'What is this thing...' Erebus thought with uncertainty as he stared at a giant golden statue that resembled a machine holding a trumpet on the top of the fountain. Shaking his head, he peeked his head above the edge of the fountain's border and was surprised to see water that flowed from the statue. He was glad to have found water since his throat was pretty dried up due to the excessive amount of walking he had done after leaving the camp, he brought his head down and began drinking from the fountain before taking a small portion water in his hands and splashed it on his face. The sensation of fresh water dripping down from was face was enough to appease his mind, until the sound of sparkling erupted in his ears.

Erebus immediately lifted his head before frantically looking around him, his eyes narrowed as he saw a crowd of machines wearing strange clothes marching towards the center of the park. They were chanting and twirling on themselves while throwing small pieces of paper all around them, his eyes glanced above him and notices that the sky had visibly obscured since he arrived. This confused him since that was probably the closest thing to a night time that he had ever seen since he had awoken from his slumber. Cautiously, Erebus stepped away from the fountain and made his way towards the stairs ahead of him while keeping a firm grip on his great sword. He didn't trust machines and he certainly wasn't going let his guard down around them just because they were dressed in a certain way, his eyes stared in disbelief at the absurd amount of machines that conversing with each other's on the staircase.

Frowning, Erebus pushed through the machine crowd while not caring of what they were talking about until he saw two path at the opposite of each other's, protected by giants barriers. His silver eyes glanced between the two path before deciding to take the path to his left, there weren't any machine inside this path, only houses that were mostly red and purple which made him wonder who could possibly be living inside these houses. Taking the narrow alley, Erebus felt as he was being secretly watched, his instinct forced him to stop and to turn around. His eyes widened as he caught glimpses of light coming through the window of a small house, he quietly made his way towards the house entrance and saw that the door was slightly opened. After some reflections, Erebus opened the door and stepped inside the house. The furniture was mostly old, in the middle of the room was a medium sized table surrounded by small wooden chair. As he walked through the room, he noticed the watch hanging down from a wall beside a shelf filled with trophies. His feet stopped at the bottom of a staircase that seemed to be leading towards the upper floor of the house, he slowly climbed the stairs while making sure to not fall until he stood inside the hallway.

He pulled out his sword as he walked through the hallway while occasionally peeking his head inside the abandoned rooms, until he reached the last door, he took a deep breath before turning the creaking knob and stepped inside the room. His body went rigid as he saw a chair with someone sitting on it with his body facing towards turned off screen. 'Where did the light came from if it's not from this screen' Erebus readied his sword while slowly advancing towards the chair, the person sitting inside the chair didn't seem to hear him approaching, which was strange since his armour boots were quite heavy. As Erebus was behind the person, he rapidly put his blade against the man's throat and pressed it further.

''Not one word, if you make the slightest movement, then I'll end your life. Understood?'' Erebus whispered in the man's ears, to his surprise the man obeyed him without trying to protest. ''Good, now I'll slowly remove my blade. If you scream for help then you know what will happen.''

'Looks like some of them know how to properly listen.' Erebus slowly walked beside the unmoving man, however he felt there was something wrong about this man's silence. ''Who are you?'' He sternly asked while staring at the man sitting on the chair but got no response, he frowned as he placed his hand on the man's shoulder, making him turn to look at him. Erebus's eyes widened in shock as the man body fell against his chest. 'Is he..?!' Suddenly, the screen beside him turned on, showing the image of a strange shape before taking the form of a girl wearing a red headband.

''We meet at last, android. Or perhaps should I refer you as...human?''
