Chapter 6: A New Plan
Elizabeth: Yep.
Agent BM: Glad to hear that.
Back the hotel, the Bad Guys had to rethink their plans.
"Did you hear what she said about us?" asked Shark.
"Yeah, no one's ever said anything like that about us." said Tarantula.
"So what do we do now?" wondered Piranha.
As Wolf thought about it, Snake piped up.
"You know, I've been thinking about these pearls."
"What?"
"Why do those pearls mean so much to Honey? And why does this mystery guy want them?"
Those were some good questions.
"Well guys, I'm not sure about the second question, but for the first question we need to go right to the source." said Wolf.
So the next day, they went back to see Honey. They found her and her bees in the park.
"And that my viewers why getting out in nature is not only good for the body but for the mind." she said to her camera.
Then she signed off.
"Excuse me, Honey?" called Wolf.
"Oh, Mr. Wolfstern, this a surprise." Honey told.
"What are you doing here?" asked Buzz.
"Sorry to keep bugging you like this, but we had another question." mentioned Shark.
"Sure what is it?"
"Why do you wear those pearls?" asked Tarantula.
"Well, this pearl necklace is very important to me."
She then touched her necklace gently.
"This is gonna be a good story." Bumble told Snake.
And then Honey began to tell her story.
Years ago, when Honey was a teenager, she was shy and didn't have much self confident. And of course that made her practically invisible to her peers. Her parents were concerned for her, and knew she needed to break out of her cocoon.
Then when Honey's school were looking for people to be on the school dance committee, Honey wanted to join, but she was just too shy. Then one day, while on a trip to the mall, Honey saw something that caught her eye.
In a jewelry store was a lovely pearl necklace. When her parents saw how drawn she was to it, they bought it for her. With the pearls on her neck, Honey began to feel different. The necklace made her feel prettier, and that gave her a little boost in confidence.
When she went back to school, she decided to try and sign up for the committee. And to her surprise, she was selected. Honey knew that the necklace didn't get her picked, but wearing gave her confidence, and she began to break out of her shell.
She talked more, made more friends, and eventually started making her videos.
"I've worn these pearls ever since. And every time I do they remind me of how far I've come." Honey finished.
"Wow." breathed Snake.
"Yep, that's our girl." said Stinger.
"That's quite a story." replied Tarantula.
"Yep, and I enjoy telling it." told Honey.
"And I'll be wearing them when I got to Los Angeles next week for a charity auction."
"Well...thanks for the story. We need to go now." Wolf told her.
And they left.
"So Honey just wears that necklace because it makes her feel confident." Shark told.
"You know I'm thinking the guy who hired us to steal the necklace just wanted to kill Honey's confidence." thought Piranha.
"Well you really think about it, that's stupid reason to steal something." Snake mentioned.
"Yes it is." Wolf agreed.
"So what do we do now?" Tarantula wanted to know.
Wolf thought for a minute.
"Guys, I've just come up with a new plan."
The others looked at him curiously.
Later that day, the Bad Guys paid a visit to a jewelry store. Tarantula hacked the security system, Shark distracted the staff, Piranha took care of the security guards, and Snake covered Wolf, so he could get the target.
After getting it, they high tailed it out of the store.
"You really think this is gonna work?" asked Tarantula.
"Of course." Wolf told her.
And he held our a pearl necklace that was similar to Honey's.
"Now let's get back to the hotel so we can go home."
And so the Bad Guys got their things, checked out of the hotel, and drove back to LA.
Once they got back to their hideout, they found another DVD. After popping it in, the mysterious silhouette appeared again.
"Hello Bad Guys. If you're watching this I can assume you've retrieved the pearls. Leave them outside your door, and in the morning you'll see your reward."
Then the screen went blank.
"Well better follow his instructions."
Wolf put the necklace in a box, and then put it outside.
The following morning, when the Bad Guys woke up; they went to check outside. Sure enough there was a suitcase in place of where the box had been. After taking it inside, they opened it and there was a large amount of $100 bills.
"Now that's a beautiful sight." observed Snake.
"You think the guy will figure out we tricked him?" wondered Tarantula.
"Probably, but hey we already got our money what's he gonna do?" Wolf replied.
They all laughed.
Next week, the Shaws went to Los Angeles for the charity auction.
"All kinds of famous faces have arrived for the event." Tiffany Fluffit announced.
"And here comes Honey Shaw."
The car pulled up, and the chauffeur opened the door. The whole family stepped out wearing their nicest clothes, even baby Zack was in a baby tux. Then Governor Diane Foxington went up to the family.
"Mrs. Shaw, we're so honored to have you and your family here."
"And it's a pleasure to be here, Governor Foxington." Honey replied.
As they all walked into the building, they ran into a guinea pig in a suit.
"Hello, Diana." he greeted.
"Professor Marmalade, so glad you made it." Diana told.
"Have you met Honey Shaw and her family?"
"Ah the famous influencer and spokeswoman. A pleasure." Professor Marmalade told Honey.
"It's nice to meet you, Professor."
"I must say, that's a beautiful pearl necklace you're wearing."
"Thank you."
Later that night, Professor Marmalade was back at his mansion, but he was in anything but a good mood.
"I can't believe it! Those Bad Guys tricked me!"
He grabbed the pearl necklace he's gotten from the Bad Guys, and threw them against the wall. His assistant, Cuddles walked up beside him.
"Don't worry, Cuddles. I have another idea for those Bad Guys."
He then looked at his heart shaped meteorite lamp.
The End
