It's Minoru Park- I mean, Mineta's- first day of UA! He is ready to take the bull by the horns! This'll be fun!
For the reader, not him. He'll hate it.
Finally, it was time for the first day of school, and he hated it!
"Waking up at six in the morning just to get to the train on time… why not just drive me!?"
Danny placed a bowl of mixed rice and vegetables at the center of the table.
"I know it's tough, but being a hero is all about getting ready at any moment. Think of this as your training before your training."
Minoru groaned and sank into his chair, "Thank's I hate it."
Danny hummed, "You'll get over it. You're stronger than you think."
The teen sighed and sat back up. He needed as much food as possible if he wanted to survive the first half of the school day.
"Oh wow. This is really good."
Danny smiled and took a bite himself. "A regular gave me her recipe as thank you for my services."
Minoru grinned mischievously, "Oh really? What kind of 'services' are we talking about?"
Danny flicked a chopstick at Minoru, which pounced on his forehead, and was caught again.
"She had a husband and already has a son."
Minoru rubbed his forehead but still had his grin. "HAD, meaning past tense."
"Finish your breakfast." Danny groaned.
"Oh come on, Uncle Danny…"
"You're going to be late."
"I'm sure her son needs a strong father figure." He waved a fist in the air. "And who better than IRON Fist? Y'know, because of IRON, a metal, which is strong…"
"One more word and I'll make you clean the bathrooms."
Minoru gulped and finished his breakfast. He got ready, uniform on body, backpack on back, and an aura of determination surrounding him.
"Ok. Here I go."
But before he left…
*snap*
"...Did you just take a picture?"
Danny nodded and smiled. "Yes. Your father wanted to see you on your first day of school."
The teen gasped as his uncle showed him the photo on his phone.
"It's not even my good side!"
"Finally, just in time!"
He had a hectic ride to UA. In combination with his small stature and how crowded it was to his surprise, he felt like he should've died a few times already. Fortunately he found a large stick and used it as a cane.
Brushing himself off and throwing the stick away, he gazed at his new school. It was huge and the gates were imposing.
"Show time."
The halls were long, wide, and very tall, making him feel even smaller. The doors to the classrooms were just as big too, making him wonder just how often big students and teachers had to come to make them a requirement.
"Class S, C, B… here we are…"
Class 1-A. The most difficult and prestigious place to be in the school. Many heroes went through these doors, Endeavor, Present Mic, Midnight, and even All-Might himself! And now it is his and his classmates' turn to go through them.
He reached for the handle and was surprised to see it open easily.
"At least that's one thing off my shoulders."
Entering the room, he saw… no one…
"(I'm the first one here!? Aw man they're going to think I'm some kind of suck up or something. Like a teacher's pet…)"
"Oh, good morning."
Minoru turned around to see a student that was MUCH taller than he was.
"Oh god! Don't sneak up on people like that!"
The taller teen nodded and bowed, "I apologize. I am Mezo Shoji."
"Hi, I am Minoru Pa-Mineta. Minoru Mineta… wait a minute."
Minoru took another step back to have a better look. And wow, was he outclassed by this guy. Not just by his height, awesome hairstyle, or his mysterious mask, but by his arms… his SIX ARMS!
"(Oh sure, why not? I swear if he has a spider quirk I'm gonna…)"
"Um, are you ok?"
Minoru snapped out and was fumbling, "Oh, uh, sorry! I was just um…"
Fortunately, Shoji seems to be used to it. "It's the arms, I know. My quirk is Dupli-Arms and it gives me these." He then flexed his arms. To Minoru's surprise they are connected with skin. Like weps on a duck's foot.
"Wow, what can you do?"
Shoji then stretched one of his arms, made it do a loop, and formed a mouth, and TALKED THROUGH IT!
"I can duplicate any body part through them."
Minoru was at a loss for words again. "That. Is. So. Cool."
Shoji rubbed the back of his head. "Well, it's handy, but not that impressive."
Minoru gasped. "Are you kidding me! Your quirk is so cool!" He then started to circle him "I can see it now: sneaking around, using one of these things to look around a corner, the other to hear. You can form a mouth on one end of a hall to trick them into investigating it…" Minoru started to drool as he turned his back to Shoji, "(Oh yes, then when they least expect it, we'll have the perfect chance to snag one of their colorful pa…!)"
"Uh, are you speaking english?"
The smaller teen wiped up his saliva. "NO! How would you know!?"
Shoji narrowed his eyes. "You are one interesting individual, Mineta."
"O-Of course I am! With my quirk no villain can stand a chance against me!"
"Really?" Shoji asked curiously, "What is it?"
Smugly, Minoru reached over his head. "Well, my qu-"
"Hello? This is 1-A right?"
"Of course it is, it says so right up there."
"Uh, you are blocking the door."
All of a sudden more of the elected 1-A students came in, interrupting Minoru's explanation of his super cool quirk.
"God damn it."
They all took the time to introduce themselves. There was the cute pink girl and tail guy from the entrance exams, an invisible girl, a funny blond one, a red haired one, a bird headed one, but most importantly, two new complete hotties!
A frog quirked one named Tsuyu Asui and another called Momo Yaoyorozu!
By the time they all showed up it was almost time to start class. Minoru made sure to sit near his preferred one, Yaoyorozu, and ended up in front of her.
"(Not ideal, but I'll get to charm her at the end of the school day… maybe sooner if those two stopped fighting!)"
Two of the guys were fighting over placing their feet on the desks, the glasses one rambling on about respect and property and stuff.
It wasn't all too bad until a messy green haired one opened the door. What was weird was that everyone stayed quiet and looked at the new arrival. It was awkward.
"(I almost feel sorry for him. Maybe I can help him. The awkward needs to be balanced by the cool.)"
Then another girl came in and the green guy became a blushing mess.
"(Oh, well now I need to help him. And maybe she has a few friends too.)"
It's not over yet though, because a man in a sleeping bag slid across the floor! And despite his goofy entrance, the man intimidated them in two seconds flat. And before they knew it, they were all outside at one of the school training grounds, bearing their gym uniforms and scared out of their minds.
"Quirk assessment test?!"
"The entrance exam didn't let you use your quirks to their full potential. Here I will test you if you actually deserve to be in UA."
There were protests about missing orientation, but Aizawa had none of it. Minoru didn't pay much attention though. He managed to be right behind Yaoyorozu!
"(I didn't even plan this one. Score!)" But was interrupted with a flick to the back of his head. A silent 'ow' escaped his lips when he turned to face Sato(?), who looked at him disapprovingly while shaking his head. Minoru rolled his eyes and waved 'fine'.
"(Party pooper. Probably jealous.)"
But his train of thought was interrupted when an explosion shook their bodies.
It was from Bakugo. He used his quirk to throw the soft ball… at SEVEN-HUNDRED AND FIVE METERS!? … and point two…
Minoru was afraid, but the others seemed to be excited for some reason.
"This looks like fun!"
"I want to try!"
"Let me go next!"
But it was short lived when he laid down the harsh reality.
"You have three years to become a hero. You think it's all going to be fun and games?" the man then smiled, sending chills down everyone's spines. "You will be tested in eight physical activities to measure your potential. Whoever comes in last has none and will be expelled on the spot."
"WHAT?!"
"(This is bad! I… I can't throw that far!)"
Of course they protested on how unfair it was, but once again, Aizawa shut them down. How life isn't fair, villains are a thing, and it is the jobs of heroes to keep everyone safe and to surpass their limits.
"(Come on! Ok Minoru, you'll have to give it your all today, and once you pass it'll be smooth sailing from there!)"
Test #1: 50-Meter Dash
"Next up, Sero Hanta and Mineta Minoru."
The two students walked up to their starting lines.
"Aizawa sure knows how to inspire us." Sero stated as he got ready.
Minoru sighed, "I guess. In a threatening kind of way."
Hanta Sero was just about the same from everyone else. Taller than Minoru, short black hair, his elbows being where his quirk manifested, but what slightly unnerved Minoru was his grin… Does he ever close his mouth properly?
"(His teeth are well kept at least…)"
The drone gave the go and they sprinted. It was obvious that Sero was going to get there first, no thanks to the dwarf's legs, but he had a plan.
Around half way through, he plucked a ball from his scalp and threw it in front of him, hopped, and once he was on it, used all his strength to bounce across the air.
"(Ha! Watch and learn because I'll-)" from the corner of his eyes he saw Sero, using the tape from his quirk to run faster! He would throw one, pull, throw the other and pull again along with his steps. Minoru was surprised, he swore that he saw that move before, so much so that he forgot he was in the air and slid across the floor on his face.
"5.34 seconds!... 6.04 seconds!"
"Gosh, are you ok?!"
Minoru gave the thumbs up, face still on the floor.
How humiliating.
Minoru grumbled through the ground. "(I hate you.)"
Test #2: Grip Strength
Minoru stared at the device in his hand longingly.
"Is it just me or are they making these things bigger…"
Sero snickered. "Sorry buddy, but they've always been like this."
Minoru glared at him. "You are not helping."
He took a deep breath.
"(Ok… here we go… and go!")
The device beeped…
"What?! Forty kilograms!?"
Sero chuckled.
"Oh yeah! Let's see you do better!"
"Easy!" Sero gripped the device as hard as he could… "What!? FIFTY!?"
Minrou smirked, "Tough luck, buddy."
"Hey, it's still ten more than you!"
They were about to discuss their strength when they saw Shoji give his device a go.
"That is better than I thought."
Sero and Minoru looked at it.
Sero gasped, "Five hundred and forty! You're a beast!"
Minoru agreed, "Yeah! Like a super strong octopus!"
Shoji rubbed his head. "Thank you, but it's no big deal."
Sero laughed. "Don't be so humbled, man! Like he said, a super strong octopus!"
"(Octopus are sexy too…)"
Shoji and Sero looked at the dwarf with confusion. Minoru's eyes grew bigger as his face turned red.
"Was that english?" Sero asked.
Aizawa then announced for the next test.
"Oh look! We better hurry!" And Minoru quickly left them behind.
Now they think he's a complete weirdo.
"(No they don't.)"
There's that denial again.
He huffed, "(I swear!)"
Test #3: Standing Long Jump
I mean… is it really worth mentioning? It was awful. Minoru was certain he didn't even make it to a third of the sand pit! Even with his quirk, he needs a running start.
"(This is the end, isn't it?)"
He walked back to the group in shame.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do good on the rest, kero."
He looked up to see Tsuyu Asui. If he was honest with himself, the frog-like face made it hard to read her, but he guessed she meant it.
"I hope so too."
He turned again to see Sero readying himself. But, he used his tape quirk to latch onto the ground, pulled back, and retracted them to make him jump further than he should have…
"(Wait a minute… is he… nah… Unless…)"
Test #4: Repeated Side-Step
Finally something he can do! It took him no time at all to set up and off he goes!
"Ten side-steps per second!"
He was proud of himself! No one could beat him on this… but how does he stop?!
"I can't stop!"
They stood in surprise for a moment until Sero came to the rescue.
"Wait for it… and… gotcha!"
He was rattled, but got over it quickly. "Thank you, Sero. I owe you one."
"Don't mention it. What are heroes for, right?"
Test #5: Ball Throw
There were some impressive ones other than Bakugou. Sato used his Sugar Rush quirk to enhance his throw, Shoji's Dupli-Arms also made him "stack" the strength of his, but the real mvp was Ochako Uraraka…
"Infinity!"
"Oh wow, I'd hate to be on her bad side."
"That's amazing!"
"I hope it comes back…"
Now it was Midoryia's turn…
Minoru heard about this guy's quirk. Apparently he one-shotted the largest robot, but he also fell down like a rag doll afterwards.
"(Let's see. Powerful, risk taker, cute freckles, and is a stuttering mess… all the ladies will flock over him! But then why hasn't he been using his quirk?… He's saving the best for last! You sly dog, you can't fool me with that shy caricature."
His eyes flooded with tears of jealousy as he clenched his fist. He didn't want to see how this Midoriya guy blows this out of the water… but it never came.
Not only did he score forty-six meters, but Aizawa UNLEASHED his scarf, and wrapped it around Midoriya!
Something about being a liability and being useless. He didn't care, all he cared about was how scary his teacher was!
"(That's so scary…)"
Aizawa let the frightened Midoryia go and told him to hurry up.
"That was really tough on him."
"Can he do it?"
"Of course not! He's quirkless!"
Then, Midoryia threw that ball so hard that it caused a raging wind to surround him! It was so cool!
"That was so cool."
"So the rumors were true…"
"Is his finger broken?"
"(I NEED to be friends with him…)"

Test #5: Long-Distance Run
A NIGHTMARE!
His tiny, stubby, little legs could barely carry him!
"(Did you really have to use all those words!")
Yes.
Test #6: Seated Toe Touch
For once his small stature helped. Smaller body means easy reach.
And yet he was still in the lower half.
"(I'm tired ok.)" He wheezed.
-Test #7: Sit-Ups
Hated it!
His head was too big for his tiny body.
"(I just accepted this by now. Give me your worse voice!)"
…
….
….
Minoru's classmates looked at him weirdly. Apparently he's been talking to himself this whole time. However they pretty much accepted that he was just tired. Most of them were too.
"That's one way to deal with this."
"I usually talk to myself too."
"I don't know. Not everyone gets mad at the sky."
"Except for Bakugou. Maybe they have more in common than we think, kero."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY!? DON'T COMPARE ME TO THAT PURPLE SHIT SHRIMP!"
End…
Finally! Done, finished, ended, and every synonym in between. Most everyone was exhausted and ready to head home!
But not yet…
They all stood in silence, waiting for the results of their exercise… And…
"(Nineteenth! Oh god that was way too close! But then that means…)"
He took a quick glance at Midoriya. He looked devastated… He understood what Aizawa meant. The world isn't fair and we need to fight for what we want. But this? He got there for a reason, no!?
"(I… have to say something… Y-Yeah! If he's expelled then I- No no, I don't want that! But this is stupid! Maybe I ca-)"
"And I wasn't serious."
… What…
"It was tust a ruse to make sure you gave it your all!"
Everyone lost their minds! Some almost fainted!
"You guys didn't figure it out?" It was Momo… "I thought it was obvious. I guess I should've mentioned something."
Everyone thought the same thing…
"YEAH YOU SHOULD HAVE!"
Walking out of the school, Minoru gave the biggest yawn he could muster. He was exhausted, sore, exhausted, sleepy and exhausted.
"(I just want to go to bed! But I need to see the syllabus… I can do that tomorrow…)"
His phone buzzed.
Pulling it up, Minoru saw the text message sent by his sister attached with a news article.
"Mission Accomplished! Exclusive Early Access!"
Spider-Man And Upincoming Hero Spider-Mech Takes Down Mysterio After Days Of Investigation!
He quickly skimmed through the article.
After many days of hard work, the fruits of labor finally paid off when Spider-Man and Spider-Mech took down an underground operation led by the Illusion Villain: Mysterio!
"It is never easy, but going two days without sleep and running only off of energy drinks, coffee, and trail mix, actually paid off!" Spider-Mech stated, from within her armored suit.
"I would love to thank everyone involved in making sure to bring them to justice."
The plan seems to be to release literal tons of Mysterio's gas quirk in tanks to the city to cause havoc to Manhattan, and maybe beyond. Whatever the plan was, it'll never come to fruition!
Now here–…
Minoru smiled.
"(At least I know they're safe.)"
He put his phone away and began his journey. He only hoped it would be easier than in the morning.
Dany stared at the clock on the wall. He just finished with his last client and dismissed his team. Now he waited…
"He better be back soon. The sun's just about to set."
He knew he shouldn't worry, Minoru knew his way around, but he still did.
"(Going to look fo–)"
"FINALLY!"
From the door, his nephew limped inside, using another large stick as a cane.
Danny quickly caught him, "Are you alright?!"
"No! I was being smothered by so many people!"
Danny laughed. He was glad to see him alive.
"(You know, maybe I can make it easier on you. You worried me for a second.)"
Minoru smiled weakly. "(Finally. You will not believe the day I had.)"
"(Eraser-Head is your homeroom teacher?!)"
"(W-Whoa yeah. Why?)"
They were having dinner talking about Minoru's day. At the mention of Eraser Head though…
Danny sighed, "(He's… an… interesting character… Spend enough time in the stealth department mand you'll hear about him from time to time…)"
Minoru gulped his food, "(Um… good things, right?")
Danny swayed his head, "(Mostly. Because of his reputation, I didn't expect him to be the teaching type.)"
Slouching down, the dwarf sighed. "(Great, just what I needed. Training that would probably break my bones.)"
"(Don't worry about it.)" Danny reassured, "(This is UA, they know what they're doing.)"
"(I hope.)"
With Minoru fast asleep in his room, Danny took the liberty to look over his syllabus in the dining room.
"(Let's see, Aizawa, Midnight; a jeez. Then english with Present Mic… wait… All M-
Then his phone begane to ring. It was Peni.
"(Peni? Shouldn't you be asleep?)"
Peni yawned, "(Yeah I know. Just needed to make more webbing.)"
Danny looked bored, "(Let me guess, Peter wanted to check on him, but passed out.)"
She wasn't there, but he knew she nodded. "(I should've known.)" He took a deep breath, "(Minoru's fine, he'll have his hands full for a while, but nothing a Parker can't handle.)"
Peni chuckled, "(Tell that to Cherry. She actually misses him.)"
Danny smiled, "(I thought she hated your brother.)"
"(Oh she does. She misses making his life miserable.)"
Danny laughed. "(I would assume so.)"
They talked for another ten minutes before saying their goodbyes.
"(Take care of your father for me. None of us are getting younger.)"
"(Always. Tell him I said hi.)"
"(Will do.)"
