"Leave me alone!" Windy yelled as he ran through the network.
"You're coming with me." Bohman yelled as he chased on his D-Board.
"I escaped Lightning once, I am not going back to that tyrant!"
Bohman took out a golden whip from behind his white gown and fired it ahead which grabbed Windy's leg.
"No!"
"You're coming home Ignis!"
Bohman fired the whip which extended all the way as it grabbed the Wind Ignis around the waist.
"I'm never going back!"
Windy channelled his power and a wind surge blasted from his hands which sent the whip flying back to Bohman.
"As if I wasn't ready for that!"
"You really weren't." smirked Bohman as Windy begun to light up in a golden glow.
"What's this?!"
"I just rewrote some of your code, a little gift from the Light Ignis. In one minute you'll be transported back home." Bohman disappeared as Windy looked at the light begun to shine brighter.
"Damnit!" Windy quickly looked around. "I can't do it…. I can't…. but neither can I return back to Lightning, he would have me locked up again…. I have no choice!"
Windy closed his eyes and sensed the network. He could feel the presence of the figure he was after and teleported away in a gust of wind.
Real World
At his desk was Kengo who was watching over CCTV footage. Since LINK VRAINS was out of action he couldn't bounty hunt anymore. Kengo was working as a decoder for a private military in a private office.
Kengo looked at his phone as he had received a message from Emma; he opted to ignore it once again.
"Leave me alone, Emma."
He placed the phone down but it flipped itself over so the screen was facing upwards.
"What the-?"
A blast of wind surged from the phone and fired into Kengo's duel disk which was located on his desk.
"What was that?!" Kengo stood up from his chair and looked at the duel disk.
"Am I free?" Windy's green eye appeared on the duel disk screen and Kengo was taken aback.
Windy arose from the duel disk and saw the golden glow disappeared.
"Well it's worked." Windy said. "I'm locked into this duel disk…. I'm safe."
"Ignis?!"
"Yes…. I'm the Wind Ignis… you can call me Windy I suppose."
"Ignis?! You're…. you're the Ignis that Kogami made from me?!"
"That's correct…."
"Get out of my duel disk!"
"I'm afraid I can't."
"AI ruined my life…. you ruined my life. I would hunt you down if I was still a bounty hunter… so I'll give you one more warning." Kengo snarled.
"Well I don't wish to be here either but the leader of the Ignis is a sadistic Ignis who wants us all in one place and under his control. That's not happening!"
"Then I'll have to delete you." Kengo said.
"I'm locked into your duel disk… we're stuck together."
New LINK VRAINS
Lighting watched as Bohman returned home.
"He was able to find his partner." Lightning stated. "As expected."
"So now we go after the partner."
"And we can trace him easily. Prepare Bohman, using the data of Bohman 1.0, I have created your deck."
"Yes creator."
Kengo
"Then I'll just switch duel disks."
"I'm locked onto you. I'll just pop up in your next duel disk. I don't want to be here either but I can't go back to Lightning."
"What happens with you Ignis is up to you."
"I come from you, Kengo I-"
"Don't you dare say my name, you see this?" Kengo raised his hand and showed an artificial arm, lost it in the Lost Incident. When the rescuers took me to hospital… I had nerve damage from all the shocks."
"That's not my problem! I'm more than an AI, I'm a living being!"
"You're still AI, the less of you lot the better! Maybe I should find this Lightning and give you to them!" Kengo fiercely spoke.
"Well you need to take some reasonability!"
"I was kidnapped as a child! I have no link to you. You're not my problem!"
However as Kengo finished a green data field surrounded the room.
"What now?!"
"Oh no…." Windy looked as a golden glow came out of Kengo's phone and the figure emerged into Bohman.
"Who are you?!"
"I am Bohman, the enforcer of the Light Ignis' will. I am here to take back the Wind Ignis."
"Then take him." Kengo affirmed.
"He is locked into your duel disk and since they are based on dueling programming, only a duel will unlock him…" Bohman stated.
"Then I'll surrender the duel… just take this AI off me!"
"This Bohman is also an AI!" Windy yelled back.
"I don't care what conflict Ignis have… just leave me alone!"
"I admire the gesture but I also can't just leave you here by yourself…." Bohman smirked at Kengo. "The human children are a poison that corrupt the Ignis… you'll be removed! Your soul will be mine!"
"What?!"
"Like it or not we need each other!" Windy said.
"Shut it! Fine… I'll take you down first then work out how to kill this Ignis later." Kengo placed his duel disk on as it lit up. Bohman lifted up his arm to reveal a yellow duel-wrist band.
"I will not fail you creator." Bohman thought.
"Duel!" both yelled.

"I summon Air Drone!" A white ball with a green ring around it flew into action.
Air Drone ATK: 1400 DEF: 1000 Wind/Cyberse/LVL 4
"Wait you had Cyberse Cards already?!" Windy yelled from the duel disk.
"Be quiet."
"I am also interested… you had Cyberse Cards before meeting your Ignis?" Bohman enquired.
"The Cyberse Cards existed when we first logged into the network… I assume it was the same for each of the kidnapped children."
"Since LINK VRAINS was made from data material from Cyberse, it makes sense." Windy replied.
"Now be quiet! I can summon another Drone from my hand! Appear Drone XL!"
Drone XL ATK: 100 DEF: 100 Wind/LVL 4/Machine
"I Link Summon LINK-2! Deploy LINK-2, Battle Drone Sharp Shooter!" A black drone shaped like a bow and arrow emerged. It had wings on both sides and two barrels attached to the string.

"When I use Drone XL to Link Summon I summon a Drone Token!"

"Next when I summon Sharpe Shooter I can draw a card! Now I Link Summon again! Emerge LINK-3, Battledrone General!" The Monster zoomed in from the sky and appeared before Blood. It was a long black fighter jet with missiles either side of its wings.

"Next I use the Continuous Spell, Blitz Drone! General's effect allows me to return Sharp Shooter to its link arrow!"

"Blitz Drone's effect! When I summon a Drone from my graveyard I can tribute it to hit you with that Monster's attack as damage!"
Sharp Shooter exploded and it turned into light beams which fired at Bohman who stood firm from the hits.

"I set one card and end my turn!"
"Not too bad at all…." Windy said to himself. Kengo ignored him.

"True deck?" Windy said.
"There was a Bohman decoy… he was basic but now I can truly take my place on the battlefield! I summon Hydradrive Booster if I control no Monsters in the Main Monster Zone!" A small robotic fly appeared.

"Hydradrive?" Windy questioned.
"I Link Summon, LINK-1! Flow Hydradrive!" Booster flew into the sky and appeared from the circuit was a larger green verison.

"Next I equip it with Hydradrive Accelerator! Since I equipped it to a Wind Monster, when you activate an effect which targets a card I control, I can negate it!"
"Wait? Wind? Is he targeting my attribute?!"
"That's right Ignis! The perfect deck to bring you home! I summon another Booster!"

"Appear a second Flow Hydradrive!"

Kengo remained firm as well as the two Flow Hydradrive fired a blast of wind at him, twice.

"Link Summon! I use Drone Pawn and Sharp Shooter! Appear LINK-3, Battle Drone Colonel!" This Drone was green box shape with missiles on each side, it was in camouflage colour. Kengo summoned it to General's bottom link.

"Next I use the Field Spell, Castle Link! I can move General next to Colonel! And now Colonel's effect! When co-linked I destroy all your Spells and Traps and since this affects all your cards, this doesn't count as targeting! Plus you take 500 damage for each!"
"Then I'll counter with the Counter Trap Hydradrive Access! If I control an equal amount of Link Monsters with the exact same attribute as you do, that Monster is banished!"
"What?!" Kengo watch as his Link Monster was banished before his very eyes.
"His is using your Wind Attribute against you! Stop storming into his moves!" Windy replied.
"Enough! I use the Equip Spell Assemble Drone! This Spell lets me return a Drone to the field! Drone XL with 500 more attack!"

"I set General and Drone XL into the link arrows! Deploy LINK-4! Battle Drone Beta!" A large green army drone in camouflage emerged.

"When Link Summoned all your Monsters have their effects negated!" Both Flows turned to grey and they lose attack equal to this card's attack!"

"You were able to save yourself at the final moment…" smirked Bohman.
"He wants you to attack!"
"What do you mean?" Kengo replied.
"It's obvious he has some Trap set… don't rush into it!"
"And an AI would tell me the truth because?"
"I don't want to be here the same as you! But right now we need each other! He will have some Trap which stops your attack!"
"I don't believe you! Attack Flow Hydradrive!"
"I use the Trap Hydradrive Reveal! When I'm attacked and I control a Monster of the same attribute as you do, that attack is negated…. then I can add one Spell from my deck named Judgement Arrows!"
"Judgement Arrows?!" Windy yelled as the same faded.
"You were right…." Kengo gritted his teeth.
"Forget that! Judgement Arrows is a card Lightning has been building! It can double the attack of a Link Monster and give extra arrows to the Main Monster Zone!"
"Correct!" Bohman showed the card and smirked.
"I end my turn…."

"Draw!"
"I should've listened…." Kengo said to himself.
"Well you better have a good idea how to get out of this or we're both toast!"
"I play Judgement Arrows!" Bohman played it in his middle Spell Trap Zone. "This allows me to Link Summon to my Main Monster Zone and it doubles their attack if it points to them during battle!"
"The Light Ignis made this?"
"He's a bigger threat than you assume." Windy replied.
"I summon another Booster!"

"And again I Link Summon again to make my third and final Flow!"
Flow Hydradrive ATK: 1000 Wind/Cyberse/LINK-1/Down
"I use my three Flow Hydradrives and Link Summon using them! Appear LINK-3, Trident Hydradrive Lord!" A warrior with green energy flowing through it emerged. He held a trident. He was summoned in the Main Monster Zone above Judgement Arrows middle link.

"When I Link Summon this card is treated as the material attributes used to summon this! Lord becomes Wind!"

All Wind Monsters on your field are negated! Next is the Spell Hydradrive Reign! If you control a Monster with the same attribute as Trident, I can hit you with 800 damage for each one on your field!"
Kengo felt the burning pain as he took the damage.
Kengo LP: 2000 – 1200
"Now Trident attacks your Beta and Trident's attack double!" Trident launched the weapon which matched its name at Beta.
"Please have a response!" Windy yelled.
"Like I wouldn't! This is going to hurt my pride but… it's better than dying! I use the Trap Damaged Drone! When you attack a LINK-3 or higher Drone Monster, I tribute it and we both take damage equal to its attack!"
"Coward!"
The drone exploded and both duelists were sent flying into the walls of the large office.
Kengo LP: 1200 – 0
Bohaman LP: 2200 – 0
"This has been a useful experiment…." Bohman said as he faded away and the digital field ended.
"That was too close." Windy said.
"Now get out of my duel disk."
"That's not going to happen! Bohman would capture me without a duel!"
"Then I'll be working out a way to remove you for good."
"Listen, I was right about Bohman's move before you walked into his Trap Card, this is now going to be a war! Lightning will come for the Lost Incident children as well, it's better if we combine! I don't want to be stuck with some human either but like it or not…."
"I don't care… I will find a way to remove you…." Kengo replied with the coldest of hearts. "I have someone to meet."
Hour Later – Café Nagi
Emma met Kengo at Kusanagi's truck, inside was Emma and Kusanagi along with Jin.
"So you're the person this Wind Ignis is built on?" Kengo said.
"Yes… sadly."
"It's not your fault, Jin." Emma said.
"Still the Wind Ignis is here now." Jin said.
"And not through choice." Kengo said.
"Listen." Emma said to her brother. "You might not like it but right now you are needed okay!"
"We're in the process of getting the Earth Ignis user, Spectre from-"
"Spectre… that name rings a bell…." Kengo gripped his hand.
"Yes… he was a Knight of Hanoi alongside a girl who went by the name of Violent Dagger… she's left with Revolver." Emma explained.
"So two Knights of Hanoi were there when we were kidnapped…. of course…. and you expect them to work with you?"
"No… but right now Lighting is a common threat, we don't need to become friends… we just need to ally for now."
"That's what I've been saying!" Windy yelled.
"You do have a way to mute this thing…. right?" Kengo refused to look at Windy in the eyes.
"Well…. Yusaku… the Dark Ignis user did know a way yes, if you wait here… he'll be back soon."
"Where exactly are they?"
"Spectre is being held in a detention centre…. also Lightning isn't the only threat we face… SOL are also up to something." Jin said, this peaked Kengo's interest.
Den City Youth Confinement
Yusaku and Takeru sat behind some glass with a phone to the side of them. They were waiting for Spectre to come from his cell. The second in charge of the Hanoi was held in this prison despite his youth because of the threat he caused.
Spectre came out in an orange jumpsuit and picked up the phone from the other end.
"So Playmaker… Soulburner…. I got your invite… how nice to finally meet."
"Our covers are blown now anyway, SOL knows." Yusaku said.
"And I guess they know about me?"
"It's likely." Takeru replied.
"And this Light Ignis… he's trying to round up the others and he thinks us Lost Incident children are at threat?"
"Yes." Yusaku said.
"Which makes you fear more? The threat of an Ignis or…. a company which controls basically everything, at least we the Hanoi were trying to deal with the Ignis… then SOL would have nothing left to try and capture!"
"You tried to wipe out an innocent race of AI… and you destroyed LINK VRAINS which brought people happiness dueling all over the world. You are not innocent." Takeru hit back.
"Naturally… I wouldn't be in prison if I wasn't. Why are you here, you warned me about this in the letter? Why come?"
"We need your help… we…"
"The prison won't let me out, what are going to do? Break me out?!"
"Of course not, we are going to appeal to them and they will be able to see sense." Yusaku said.
"Even if you could…. it's too late…" Spectre begun to laugh.
"Why?!" Takeru stood up and slammed his hands down.
"SOL has already been in contact with me…. well…. the former me!"
"Former?" Yusaku also stood up.
"I'm a hologram! SOL knew where I was so they took me! Right now the real Spectre has been uploaded to the network and is currently being used as a template for a new era for SOL!"
"What?!"
"Spectre has been uploaded just like Akira Zaizen. Akira is the new leader of SOL Security and is leading the charge to rebuild LINK VRAINS."
"And how does Spectre build that?"
"Since he has a connection to the Ignis, that connection can be used to create a new data material!"
"A new Ignis?" Yusaku replied.
"Oh no… Ignis with free will was the problem that Kogami made… this won't be evolving! It will be creating everything within the new LINK VRAINS! I am creating new matter!"
"And this matter would be purely under SOL's control and wouldn't run out like the Cyberse data material…. which gives SOL so much more room to make more profit." Yusaku affirmed.
"You both used LINK VRAINS before…. you said it yourself before, it was a fun place for people to duel!"
"Using material which didn't belong to you… and now we know you're using real people to make LINK VRAINS 3.0." Takeru said.
"It's nearly built… you were too late to save Spectre… and we're very much aware of all your identities now… just think what we could build with all of you… but don't worry, Spectre is more than enough! Once we uploaded him… he was so strong!"
"And what about the Ignis?" Yusaku said.
"We have no further interest in them… we're aware of the civil war the Ignis are having…. let them destroy each other!"
"Like that would happen!" Ai yelled as he jumped out of Yusaku's duel disk.
"Oh it will… and if not… SOL will be able to finish you off… whoever is left behind after the war! SOL will be too powerful to stop… you're irrelevant now." The fake Sprectre smirked as the hologram walked away.
"We need to talk to Aoi…. everyone." Yusaku said.
Aoi
Aoi was meeting Go Onizkuka outside of Aoi's school. The two had dueled in LINK VRAINS before in the Deep Web.
"That was quite the duel…. and to think you were here right in Den City!" Go said.
"I wish this was a rematch but I need you to try this… please."
"Of course! I always try to put on a show and for SOL to be using my arena to have experiments … unforgiveable! I have pull with the heads of SOL… they will have to listen."
"Thank you Go." Aoi said as her phone rang.
….
Everyone reunited at Café Nagi and everyone finally caught up on each revelation.
"This is even more interesting than I thought…." Kengo said.
"So now you're interested?"
"Very much so… there is more AI which needs destroying…"
"And about working with Windy?"
"As long as he departs at the end of this nightmare and the Ignis return to living in their own world away from ours… than fine." Kengo replied.
"We can't agree to that!" Ai yelled.
"It's a compromise, we'll work out the details once we deal with Lightning and SOL." Aoi said.
"SOL are getting more powerful in the background… we can't do anything about that as Lightning is our main aim… protecting the Ignis is vital." Yusaku said.
"Which is why we need to hurry up and defeat him, we will make him see sense." Aoi affirmed.
"Lightning has the Earth Ignis in hibernation." Windy said.
"We were able to use Jin to contact Lightning's world… it must be possible to find a way into it…." Aqua said.
"You said something about us being downloaded?" Aoi said to her Ignis.
"Yes, the network is the entire digital space, SOL servers are there like LINK VRAINS. Lightning had somehow hidden his outside of it." Aqua said.
"Plus Akira and Spectre have been uploaded fully to the network… to solve both these issues…we…"
"Revolver would know." Yusaku said.
"Yes… I hate to say this but… we need to find Miyu and Revo… Ryoken." Takeru said.
"They are off the grid; they fled after we beat them." Jin said.
"We need them to find us then." Yusaku said. "Revolver and Spectre were friends and knowing what happened to him will attract his interest."
"SOL will take down anything we put online though…."
"Thankfully we have some great hackers who can find the channels Revolver can only see." Jin replied.
