To Walk the Path of Freedom
"Sir! T-the two Pirates that were a-approaching by air have successfully d-destroyed the sentries we sent after them! W-What should we do!?" One of the technicians pleaded out to the figure who had still remained as calm as even though he had started to apply more pressure to the arm of his chair with his hand which had caused the chair to bend the smallest amount. "They won't find our location, confirm that Ryouku has subdued Portgas, he's the biggest threat to our operation." The figure spoke, focusing his attention back on the monitor with Naruto on it
With Naruto. . .
"Air Door Times 6!" The woman yelled out, shooting another arrow at Naruto, who had stood above her on one of the floating rocks. The arrow shot straight at him before it vanished through a white hole in the air. The Pirate watched as the projectile popped back into view prior to going back through another one of Ryouku's doors. This happened a few more times and Naruto began his counter. "Almighty Push!" He exclaimed with both of his hands extended in opposite directions, emitting a force that knocked the arrow away from him
As she looked up and watched the Void Pirate Captain block her attack she uttered some more words. "Door Door!" She said whilst laying her hand on the ground prior to falling through the door. She then appeared right beside Naruto and landed a kick on his abdomen, as she had an opening when she used her arrow as a distraction. For a woman her size, Ryouku packed a large punch as Naruto felt the wind get knocked out of him for a second. She swung her other leg around her body and hoped to connect her roundhouse kick to the side of Naruto's head, but he got his hand up in time and caught it. "Good luck running from my arrow now!" She yelled out triumphantly to him
The red-haired Pirate widened his eyes but then cracked a grin. "It won't be that easy!" He spoke as his body sunk into the rock, and disappeared completely. "W-What!?" Ryouku expressed in pure shock. She looked over the edge of the rock to inspect where he had gone and jumped back when his arms shot out at her and grabbed her from the under side of the rock they were both fighting atop. "Got ya!" Yelled out Naruto before he threw her towards the ground with as much force as he could muster.
Ryouku gritted her teeth as she fell to the ground prior to looking back at her opponent. Ryouku made a triangle with her hands before proclaiming her next attack. "Air Door Barrage!" Her words echoed as she fell. Before long, small doors all around Naruto began to open and one by one, fists shot out at his body. The first few he was able to dodge or predict but after that, the fists had started to make contact with his body. 'Dammit, I gotta think of something soon! These fists are really making this fight annoying!' Naruto cursed in his head. "Blink!" Exclaimed the Captain of the Void Pirates, teleporting right beside Ryouku. He watched for a split second, her throw another first through her air doors which managed to connect with his leg, knocking him off balance. "What the hell!? Those things are following me now!?" Questioned Naruto out loud before he landed on the ground and Ryouku herself, landing on a tree branch with her air doors still active
The lady chuckled, "I targeted you! My Air Doors won't stop following you until I dispel them! Now would be a wise time to give up and hand us over Watson!" She explained to him but Naruto was only surprised once she mentioned Watson's name. He glared at her. "What the hell do you want with him!?" The teen questioned his opponent who just shook her head. "And why should I tell you that? But if you really are dying to know, I bet that if you hand him over to us Captain Argus would have no problem making your crappy crew a part of his ranks!" She had voiced back to Naruto who clenched his fist so hard that they looked like they were about to draw blood. "I don't care about your stupid Captain! I'm not joining your crew! And I'm not selling out my friends!" Naruto spoke back to her with determination in his voice
"No matter then! Captain Argus will destroy the Drum Kingdom with or without you there to see it!" Ryouku hissed back to him and the begun her next attack. She drew another arrow and pointed it at the Pirate. She was about to proclaim her next attack but Naruto was quicker and yelled out his own attack first. "Spatial Expansion!" He screamed at the top of his lungs while an invisible force travelled towards Ryouku from a good distance away. Within a few seconds, the pain had hit the woman in her left forearm with her immediate reaction to be to hold onto it and scream. "AHHHHHHHH WHAT THE HELL!?" She questioned out loud while looking from her injury to Naruto with his outstretched palm
Ryouku gritted her teeth and screamed at Naruto once again. "You shredded all the muscles in my forearm you bastard!" She cursed at the young Pirate. The teen stood there silently for a few seconds before starting to pant. 'Damn, I can't keep using my fruit like this! It already takes too much concentration to pull off these attacks, I need to end this fight now!' The teen's thoughts blazed prior to him cracking a smile. "Damn! I really thought I'd gotten better at aiming that attack! I meant to hit you square in the chest but I guess your arm will have to do!" Came his words, not dropping his smile for a second
'Dammit! I'm in no position to fight right now! I need to get back to base or I'll lose! A-and then. . .oh god. . .if I-I lose C-Captain Argus will. . .he'll kill m-me!' Ryouku's thoughts blazed before she turned away from Naruto, left arm still wobbly at her side, and spoke, "Air Door!" And then came a door in the air that opened to reveal a dark room with various metal sheets lining the floor, walls and ceiling with a thick green line on each of the walls. The woman was about to jump in and escape Naruto, however, the young man was quick enough to see what she was trying to do. "You're not getting away that easy!" Exclaimed Naruto who ran full force at the woman, before tackling her through the door with both of them ending up in the metal hallway
The man took a quick glance around the hallway. "Where the hell are we?" He had asked to no one in particular as Ryouku struggled to get to her feet as he body was going into shock. "D-dammit! Y-y-you followed m-me in!" She cursed, trying to lift her arm to land a punch on Naruto who effortlessly blocked the blow and struck her in the gut with a counter. He watched as the woman got winded from his blow and he quickly followed up with a roundhouse to the side of her head which launched her down the hallway and onto the metal floor.
"Looks like she's done!" Expressed the teen with a smile and a laugh before he looked around once again. "I guess it's time to look around and explore! I wouldn't mind finding some food either!" Continued Naruto, walking passed Ryouku's unconscious body with both of his hands behind his head, without a care in the world
With Kiji and Watson. . .
"Uhhhh! How much further is he! I'm so tired!" The crew's newest member complained as he and the first mate of the Void Pirates continued to walk through the dense jungle of Tin Tan Island. Kiji's face crunched as he turned back to face the young teen. "Be quiet and stop complaining! We shall find the Captain in due time, now keep trekking ahead! Our search is not complete as of yet!" Came the fish-man's answer which startled Watson initially but after a few seconds he began to mope around once more
The Doctor's eyes wandered across the various leaves and trees that littered the island. 'This is so boring! Why did Naruto have to run head first onto the island! If he didn't we could already be on our way to Drum!' Thought the Doctor, with his eyes still wandering all over the jungle around him. "Hopefully we don't run into another bunker, I'd hate to have to save you again Kiji!" Watson laughed at the fish-man who did not seem to find his joke as funny as the young Doctor did. Kiji grumbled in response to the human's words. "Another word out of you and the next time something comes up I'll be using you as bait!" He snapped back which caused Watson to straighten his body in fear and slap both of his hands over his mouth
"Much better." Kiji voiced silently to himself as the pair continued to walk through the thick jungle, both of them still scanning their surroundings as not to get caught off guard again. The eldest of the two crew-mates kept his eyes peeled especially on the tree tops as something that he could not explain was ringing in the back of his head to look at them. He watched as the wind blew through the palm leaves which for most would create a soothing feeling but not for Kiji. His eyes widened when he noticed that a few palm leaves did not move in the same direction as the wind which immediately caused him to stack both of his fists and point them towards the area in which he saw this. "Fallout!" He exclaimed with a booming voice as the tree tops were blown to pieces by an invisible force and Watson panicked as he thought Kiji's actions would draw unwanted attention to themselves
The Doctor yelled out, "Kiji! What are you doing!? We just got away from a bunker full of machine guns and now you're trying to attract all of that danger back to us!?" In response, Kiji took a defensive stance and rose his fists. "There is someone or something following us! It's in the trees!" He explained and Watson scrambled to unsheathe his machete
"Huh I didn't know I would be detected that easily-ugu!" Came a voice from up above, just outside of the radius in which Kiji's attack had hit. The two Void Pirates locked in on the voice and saw a man with his upper body poking out the side of one of the jungle trees. Taking a closer look, it appeared to the both of them that the man in the trees was merged with the tree itself. Moreover, the man appeared to just wear some simple navy blue overalls that contrasted nicely with his darker skin tone along with a black hooded mask that had both eye holes cut out of it along with a mouth hole as well. "It's not hard to detect a big guy like you Ushi!" Watson spat back, seemingly already recognizing the giant sized man for who he was
The response from Ushi was a laugh as his body came out of the tree and fell towards the ground below. In the air he did a summer salt prior to landing on his feet a few metres away from the two Void Pirates. "I suppose it's not Watson! Say, I've been told by one of our friends at HQ that I get to have the honour of stringing your little neck before bringing you back to Captain Argus! Not to mention getting to kill the filthy fish-man-ugu!" The bigger man spoke with a devilish undertone that seemed to work on Watson but not on Kiji. The fish-man resumed a combat position with his hand being raised towards Ushi. "You're mistaken fool! As a member of the Void Pirates I will not allow anyone to harm my crew! Even your threats are treated as unforgivable in my books!" Replied Kiji glancing at Watson before looking back at Ushi
After Kiji's words a snicker came from Ushi. "You're really going to put your life on the line for this runt-ugu!? I bet he hasn't told you about what happened back in Drum then?" Finished Ushi, still holding a menacing grin on his face. Following the man's words, Watson's blood seemed to run cold with fear and he had begun to shake his machete violently in fear. "He's a fungus you know! A weakling! And you're better off without him-ugu!"
"Enough of your insults! What happened in Drum?" Kiji had asked the man, wanting his curiosity to be silenced. Ushi's grin could not get much wider as his eyes darted from Kiji to Watson over and over prior to him beginning to speak. "When my crew came to Drum-ugu, we came looking for a doctor for a reason that shall remain secret. Captain Argus did not hold back in his pursuit, killing island natives and some of the island's doctors when they were unable to, shall we say, do what we asked-ugu! Of course those idiots in Drum thought that they could force us out of their country and formed a rebellion. They called up every man, and woman who could fight in hopes of taking us on. This is where the brat comes in-ugu! His fellow friends, family and even his fellow doctors asked him to assist their efforts. . . and he just ran away. Too bad he couldn't see them all die at the hands of Captain Argus!" Ushi had finished his story and Kiji did not react in the slightest, staying calm. Though Watson had begun to shed tears as he thought of all those that died and remembered running from the fight rather than standing up for himself and his people.
Both of the Void Pirates were interrupted from their separate thoughts about the words they just heard by Ushi's laugh. "You see now fish-man! He's useless-ugu! Now hand him over to me and your crew can be on their merry way!" Promised the overall wearing man, outstretching his hand, and waiting for a sign of agreement on Kiji's part. The fish-man's eyes pierced the man. "No." He simply spoke and Ushi's eyes went wide for a moment, prior to regaining his composure. Kiji continued to speak. "The young Doctor may be seen as a coward and a waste of life by you, but that is not the case for the Void Pirates. We do not judge him on his prior actions and in fact, we stand by him as he returns to Drum to retake his homeland. So no! I or any other member of my crew will not bend to your wishes and hand over the young Doctor!" He declared with hints of passion in his voice which should how much the fish-man had begun to warm up to his crewmates.
"K-Kiji. . ." Watson had begun to voice, his words laced with happiness, until he was interrupted by Ushi. The enemy scoffed. "If you want to through your lives away that's fine-ugu! Bark Saber!" He exclaimed with a shout, lifting his right arm to the sky. Both Watson and Kiji watched on as bark had begun to erect from Ushi's outstretched palm until it formed a sword. "Anatomical Separation!" He then swung the sword at the two with as much force as he could muster, but Watson and the battle worn form of Kiji were able to dodge the strike in time.
The attack only stopped after it had hit a few trees behind the Void Pirates, with most of the trees falling over due to the damage sustained. Kiji had rolled on the ground and shot up with speed and began to charge Ushi. "One Hundred Brick Fist!" Came Kiji's attack, hitting Ushi square in the gut. To Kiji's surprise, cracks had begun to form all over Ushi's body, stemming from the area around his gut where Kiji had hit. One by one, chunks of the man's skin turned into bark and fell off his body to the ground until Ushi's original form had revealed itself from underneath the bark. "Quite the Devil-Fruit eh?" Spoke Ushi, grinning from avoiding a direct hit. "And just like that all the damage you thought you put into my body is gone-ugu!" He finished, still keeping up the same grin
The tall, hooded man took a step which knocked off the rest of the bark and gripped his sword again. "Anatomical Separation!" He yelled out again, swinging down on Kiji from above. Kiji uttered his own words. "Fish-man Karate Technique: Sword Catch!" Exclaimed Kiji, catching the sword in his palms and struggling with holding back Ushi. Just behind the clashing titans stood Watson who was shaking from the idea of not being able to damage Ushi. 'There's no way!' His thoughts screamed. 'Kiji put all that power into his punch only for that bastard to just shed his skin and act like nothing happened!? How can we hope to defeat him without a Devil-Fruit of our own!' Watson continued to speak to himself in his head. "C'mon Kiji! You can take him! But don't kill him we need him for more information!" Watson relayed to Kiji who struggled in his test of strength against Ushi. "No, this scum dies today! N-No way I'm letting-him live after his words!" Kiji responded, attempting to push the Devil-fruit user back
Ushi continued to struggle as he put all of his might into pushing his bark blade down on Kiji who still would not budge. "D-Damn! You fish-men deserve the reputation for your strength I'll give you that-ugu! But it's still not enough to defeat me! Bark Fusion!" Announced Ushi with a grin while he and Kiji continued their struggle. To the Void Pirates' surprise, the bark from the sword began to envelope Kiji's hands until cuffs formed around them. "What-" Kiji began but was cut off by his opponent. Ushi yelled out his next attack. "Bark Blitz!" Thundered Ushi, covering his hand in a thick bark before upper cutting the fish-man
The sudden jolt from the blow was enough for Kiji to inadvertently break his bonds prior to falling forward onto his knees and hands. "KIJI!" A shocked Watson yelled from to the side of the brawling behemoths. He then readied his machete over his head and ran towards the Devil-Fruit user as fast as he could. "So, the little bastard wants to fight too-ugu?" Spoke the man with a smile, turning his body towards the rushing teen
Watson kept his course even though he realized he no longer had the element of surprise, and that Ushi had begun to prepare for his attack. His body getting ever closing, Watson jumped in the air at the last possible second in hopes of getting some sort of height advantage on Ushi who just kept up his smile. Bark had formed in Ushi's hand while Watson flew threw the air. "Bark Saber!" He proclaimed, manifesting his attack in his hand, and keeping his gaze on the oncoming attack from Watson. His gaze did not break until a webbed hand grabbed his leg. "Y-you should never t-take your eye off of your opponent fool!" Kiji exclaimed whilst rubbing his chin with his other hand. "W-what the-" Ushi began but was interrupted by his leg getting taken out by Kiji, who knocked the Devil-Fruit user onto his back. Kiji then swung his body around and landed his opposite fist into the forearm of Ushi which caused the ladder to let go of his bark sober, leaving his one side defenceless. "Take this!" Yelled out Watson, bringing his machete down on the Devil-Fruit user which sunk itself into the outstretched palm of Ushi, who had used his palm as a way of blocking the attack
Blood dripped through the wound Watson had created onto Ushi's chest. "D-Dammit you bastard!" Ushi cursed, struggling to hold up Watson who was putting all his weight into pushing the blade further down. The fish-man saw the struggle out of the corner of his eye and, with quick thinking, punched the Devil-Fruit user again. His ribs were the target of Kiji this time, and Ushi howled in pain at the cracking of his ribs. Watson was then dropped and was able to sink his blade all the way through Ushi's hand and into is torso. "AHHUhh" Voiced the enemy of the Void Pirates while air seemed to be flushed out of his lungs. Not even a moment later, Ushi had begun to struggle before using as much energy as he could muster, "Get o-off of m-me!" He voiced, throwing Watson back onto the ground and kicking Kiji in the face which made him lose his grip.
Ushi stood once again while another layer of bark fell from his body. This time something was different, the stab wounds inflicted by Watson did not vanish, Ushi had still sustained the damage necessary to make this a losing fight for him. The man brought his injured hand over his wound on his chest and his opposite over that and let out a handful of thunderous coughs. Kiji stood from the ground and stared the man down whilst wiping some blood and grime off of the corner of his mouth where Ushi had kicked him. "You are in no position to continue Devil-Fruit user. Yield or be killed!" Kiji yelled out to Ushi who remained in the same spot and did his best to get back into a fighting stance
"You're in n-no position to k-kill me fish-man scum!" Spat Ushi as blood pooled around his wound and a stream of it started going out from his mouth. "One Hundred Brick Fist!" Attacked Kiji, connecting with Ushi's left shoulder, spinning the Devil-Fruit user in a violent motion and through a tree. "K-Kiji!? Don't tell me you-" Watson had begun to ask but was interrupted by Kiji's hand. "He's still alive, I just shattered his shoulder and knocked him out." He explained, to which Watson was about to thank him but Kiji was first to talk. "Listen Young Doctor, I may have spared this man today but truth be told we must not always be so forgiving to our enemies. The reason I'm saying this is because I saw the hesitation in your strikes. You must know that your enemy will not spare you if they have a chance to take you down. Everyone is to be treated as an enemy until they can be trusted, it is my ideology and it should be yours too" He finished, turning and walking back through the jungle while dragging the unconscious Ushi behind him
Watson remained silent before he sheathed his machete, pulled up his back pack and ran after Kiji to continue to look for Naruto.
With Lucy and Russ. . .
"Yeah yeah lucky timin' is all!" Russ complained prior to lifting his body off of the ground and looking around to discover the small fires that he and Lucy had started after fighting the robot sentries. "So much for keepin' 'er clean!" He continued to say to the Devil-Fruit user. "Yeah we defiantly didn't think about minimizing the collateral damage with this one." Lucy responded to him a few moments before the sentry that Lucy had taken out from above began to sink into the ground. It slowly fell into the dirt prior to dropping a few meters into a metal tunnel and hitting the floor with a thud.
Both Void Pirates drew their weapons and approached the hole in the ground with caution. "The hell is that?" Russ asked out loud, looking into the hole in the ground. Lucy didn't wait and decided to jump in and landed on the metallic floor. "Don't know, looks like an underground tunnel of sorts. Maybe this is where Naruto went?" Lucy questioned out loud as Russ jumped down too
"This place looks like it goes on for forever!" Russ spoke up, looking down what felt like the endless maze of metallic hallways that littered their views with odd bold red lines on the walls. Lucy looked to her left and then to her right. "Which way do you suppose we go?" She asked Russ who shrugged his shoulders. "Looks like we'll get lost in whichever direction we're thinkin' of goin' in." He answered her question to which Lucy sighed. "Fine let's just go to the right!" Responded Lucy with a hint of annoyance in her voice
The pair of Void Pirates took a few turns in the metallic corridors and found a hallway that had a different door frame than all of the other ones. This entrance was a lot taller than the other ones and had red painted all around the outside of it. Not to mention that the red lines on the walls did not go overtop of the door like it did everywhere else but instead merged to form the red ring that was around the door frame. "What do you think is inside?" Questioned Lucy to Russ who just pulled out one of his pistols. He responded to her words, "I don't know, but I'm not takin' any chances!"
Laying her hand on the door, Lucy pulled the sliding door open forcefully with her strength and Russ walked forward into the entrance with both guns ready to shoot anything that moved. Looking around the room all that could be seen was a lack of light, the only source of it coming from a lone bulb that was situated above a workbench that had various metal parts on it. Located in the rest of the room was boxes and boxes of files that stored countless pieces of information. Lucy walked over to inspect what was on the workbench while Russ opened one of the boxes to see if anything inside would provide a clue to where they were or who controlled the place they were in. "Huh, bunch of weird gadgets here, and look at this welding torch, it's still hot!" Lucy explained to Russ who had remained silent prior to throwing the folder he found on the ground in frustration.
Lucy turned her head sharply to the Marksman and asked, "What's wrong with you!?". Russ turned to answer. "It's this place, this damn place! I found out who controls it! It's a damn MADS lab!" He yelled out towards the end. Both members of the crew turned to face the entrance to the room that they had previously walked through because of the sound of footsteps. "Perfect, something or someone affiliated with that damn organization MADS that I getta shoot!" Russ smiled, pointing his pistol firmly towards the door, getting ready to shoot whatever walked through the door. Lucy interjected, "Russ wait! What if the thing that comes through that door knows where Naruto is or what's really going on here! We can't afford to shoot them!" She countered Russ who had still kept his pistols drawn
The two heard a code being inputted into the door to which Russ was quick to move his body so it was right up against the wall in which the door was located. The door opened and in stepped a woman, dressed in a dirty lab coat that went down to her mid thighs and dressed in cargo shorts and a tight-fitting sky blue top. She had goggles on her forehead that looked to be used for welding or something of the sort with bruises and small cuts around the goggles, along with brown eyes that were studying the papers she had in her hands. The most notable feature about the woman was her lime green hair that could be seen clearly in a crowd of people.
After she had entered the room, Russ drew his pistol and pressed it into the side of her head. "Don't ya dare move!" He warned her, pulling back the hammer of the gun. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! I'm going to get shot! And have my brains blown all over the wall! But if that happens I'll surely get in trouble for making a mess!" The lady had begun to panic while Lucy and Russ sweat dropped at her words. "If your brains got blown out you'd be dead, kinda seems foolish to be worried about making a mess don't you think?" Spoke Lucy, walking closer to the lady
"I suppose that checks out." She responded but was not allowed further speech because Russ interjected. "Enough of ur useless yapping'! Who are ya!? Where the hell are we!? Where are the leaders of MADS!?" The lady was barraged with questions from the crew's Marksman. The lady turned her head and gave Russ a puzzled look. "MADS? They haven't been here in years. This lab used to belong to them but now Argus uses it as an outpost for his operations. As for where you are, you're in the underground lab on this island. And as for your question about who I am, my name is Rose! Nice to meet you!" She answered Russ's questions and it looked to satisfy the Marksman because he brought down his pistol but continued to aim it at Rose from the hip
Lucy looked around to the file containers and gave a small sigh. "I suppose that accounts for all of the old records. But why did you attack us with those robots?" She asked her fellow woman while Rose stiffened with fear. She began to slightly panic prior to responding. "I uh well um I don't know why they attacked you. If I'm telling the truth I'm not really apart of their crew. I just make the technology that they use and they keep me here against my will." She finished which caused Lucy to give a sigh. "Why not leave then?" She asked another question to Rose who looked down to the metallic floor. "I'm not strong enough to last on my own, after I was taken away from my parent at a young age I was tossed around crew to crew, person to person, each one more cruel than the last. They all told me about the horrible things that would happen if I ever went off alone and now I'm even terrified at the thought of it." Rose answered with a sad tone of voice to which Lucy made a fist
"That's it! You're coming with us and we're getting out of here, together!" She spoke with confidence and Rose and Russ looked at her with two different reactions. "What really!? You're going to take m-me with you?" Asked Rose with a hopeful look on her face while Russ interjected. "What! Ain't no way she can come with us! It's not our job to decide who is and who ain't allowed on the ship! It's the Cap'n's!" He argued but it only fell on deaf ears. Lucy looked at him and argued her decision. "She'll come with us and we'll get away from this island. Then Naruto can decide if he wants her on the crew or not, if not than we can just find her parent and give Rose back to her family." She explained, with rose lighting up her face with happiness
With Naruto. . .
"Aaaaand behind this corner is!" He popped his body to look around the corner in the hallway. He then sighed deeply. "Another metal hallway. You'd think there would be something exciting down here!" He spoke as he walked down the new hallway in a carefree fashion. The Pirate then heard footsteps coming from behind him and he turned sharply to see 5 men dressed in grey combat armour, armed with swords. "Stop! Portgas D. Naruto we are here to take you down! Surrender and you won't need to die today!" The supposed leader of the group yelled out to the Captain of the Void Pirates but Naruto just laughed in response to his words. "No thanks I'm okay! And I'm not done looking around yet so come back when I want to leave!" He told the group of soldiers before turning back around and walking down the hallway once again
The leader of the group fumed. "I'll teach you to turn your back on me! Prepare to die!" He yelled out, charging the man with his sword drawn. Naruto snapped his body around and outstretched his arm. "Spatial Shift!" He exclaimed, creating a gravitational force around the guards that went into the metal wall. At the same time, all five of them tumbled into the wall and fell over which gave Naruto the opening he needed. He ran over to the downed forms of the guards and one by one, knocked each one of them out.
"Now that that's been dealt with, where to go now?" Naruto questioned out loud as he continued to walk down the hallway he was going before the squad of soldiers interrupted him. He did not walk long until he fund a door where the green lines on the walls seemed to merge around. "Huh, looks interesting enough to explore." He spoke to no one in particular prior to walking through the door and inside of the room. After walking inside, Naruto observed that the only light source in the room came from red lights that lined a pod that was attached to the back wall of the room that had a computer mounted on it. He took a step forward and without warning a part of the pod opened to reveal a tiny scanner that ran a red light over Naruto once going up his body and a second time going down.

DEPLOYING ANTI THREAT SENTRY
"What? Another one of those sentry things? Shouldn't be a problem!" Naruto stated, getting into a fighting stance but was surprised when the pod opened and out came a robot that was just over twice the size of him. "DEPLOYING ANTI DEVIL-FRUIT COUNTERMEASURES!" The giant robot buzzed as a shoulder mounted gun came out of its body and two blades switched out for its hands
Prior to moving, the sentry shot its shoulder mounted gun at Naruto which only partially missed because Naruto was able to jump out of the way. He was grazed by one of the bullets on the arm and in that split second of contact with the bullet he felt most of his strength leave him. "Seastone? Damn that's not good!" He yelled out, getting up and running back out into the hallway. The sentry followed him outside with the wheels it had for legs and managed to keep up with the Pirate. 'This isn't good! I'm still tired from that fight with the door lady from earlier! I gotta shake this guy!' His thoughts blazed as he dodged another round of bullets, courtesy of the sentry.
The young man then turned sharply to the wall and ran through it with his Devil-Fruit but watched as the sentry behind him charged through the wall breaking it in the process. "Damn this guy does not know when to quit! But let's see if you can keep up!" Naruto voiced as he ran through a second wall which the robot smashed through, just like the first
In the Control Centre. . .
"S-Sir! Project X-01 got activated and is chasing Portgas D. Naruto! A-And both Ushi and Ryouku are out of comission sir!" A scientist relayed to the shadowy figure sitting on the chair surrounded by a bunch of monitors. "Where are the current locations of the Void Pirates?" He asked the team of scientists and another spoke up to respond. "Sir both Watson and Kiji are still wandering the jungle looking for their Captain, Russ and Lucy have been spotted by the labs with Rose and Portgas is running through walls all over the base with X-01 smashing through the same walls!"
The figure stood up after hearing this report. "Rose has allied herself with the Void Pirates eh? Dispatch squads 11-13 to deal with the two on the surface. No Devil-Fruit user has ever survived X-01 so leave it with Portgas. As for Rose I will retrieve her myself and kill the other two in the process. Make sure that the Void Pirates are unable to unite, failure to do so will cost each one of you your lives! You have your orders!" The figure yelled out before he turned away from the monitors and walked out of the exit in the back
"Time to put an end to this pathetic crew, they must not be allowed to leave this island alive and make it to Captain Argus in Drum!" The figure stated, briskly walking out into the metallic hallways to track down Lucy, russ and Rose
With Lucy, Russ, and Rose. . .
"This whole island is one giant lab that spans kilometres in diameter. It's quite easy to get lost and if your friend is in here like you said then it's very likely that he had already been captured by some guards sent after him!" Rose explained to the Void Pirates as she, Russ, and Lucy jogged down one of the hallways in the base, looking for Naruto. "I doubt it, Naruto is one who isn't exactly easy to control! If I know him, he's probably running around making a mess of this place!" Lucy responded with a chuckle to which Rose responded to her words. "That's not good! The person in charge here is the right hand man of Argus, he's ruthless and will make sure that each one of your friends will not leave the island alive!" Rose told her fellow woman
Russ spat. "He could be a damn Admiral and I wouldn't care! That bastard has no idea what he's gonna be dealin' with if I find 'em!" The Marksman pridefully exclaimed. "But you must not underestimate him! Argus trusted him with an entire island to himself along with a lot of the crew's resources! For all we know he could've sent some experimental sentries after us or worse he could come after us himself!" Rose warned both Lucy and Russ who both stopped abruptly
"Wait! Do you hear that?" Questioned Lucy to the group. Russ picked his eye and then held his hand to it and listened. "Yeah, sounds like a rumblin' of sorts! Comin' from the other side of this wall!" He explained before drawing both of his pistols and getting ready for a fight. To the shock of both Lucy and Russ, Naruto ran out of the wall. "Hey Lucy! Hey Russ! Being chased got to got, bye!" He yelled out to his cremates, both of them still standing there in shock prior to being snapped out of it by the giant sentry crashing through the wall behind Naruto
Rose began to step back in fear, recognizing what was standing before them and Naruto walked back through the wall and stood with his friends. "That bastard has been chasing me for the last 10 minutes! He's a real pain in the ass!" He expressed while Russ, Rose and Lucy did not take their eyes off of the robot. "What even is that thing?" Lucy asked to Rose who answered her question with fear laced in her voice. "T-That is the n-new experimental sentry! The X-01!"
Hey everyone! It feels good to be able to update again! I'm sorry it took so long to get this chapter out it's just that school has been very demanding lately and that has always been my first priority! I hope you all enjoy this new chapter and Tin Tan Island shoufl come to an end next chapter unless I decide to make it a bit longer but that is unlikely. Also please let me know if for pairings you all would rather see a sort of harem or just like one designated person! That's all I got for now!
