Cersei turned as she heard someone approaching. Whoever she was, she reminded her of Rebekah somehow. Of course, Rebekah had said she had a sister. So maybe this was her.
She hadn't been looking for Tyene. In truth, she would rather avoid her at all costs. But Rebekah was insistent on keeping her close. Being queen had benefits. But after everything Rebekah had done for her, Cersei couldn't possibly send Tyene away. Besides that, she knew things she wasn't sure needed to become public knowledge.
Tyene hadn't been much more willing to engage in conversation with her. They had kept things light, but it was still strained. As much as Tyene didn't like or trust Cersei, the feelings were mutual. But she also noticed someone was coming toward them. She didn't know who it was, and she quickly realized Cersei didn't either.
Freya smiled, stopping near them and looking between the two for a moment before she spoke. "My name is Freya Mikaelson. I was hoping-"
Mikaelson? Cersei was almost certain that was Rebekah's house. If they had banners, she had never seen one. But now she knew they must be related. "You're Rebekah's sister. Aren't you?"
Freya nodded, giving her her full attention. "You know her?"
Cersei nodded, unable to hold back a smile. "Your sister has become one of my closest friends. And I know she misses you. Your brothers too."
Freya smiled sadly. "I miss them too. "I miss them too. Forgive me, but... are you the queen? I thought she might have met one of us, and... that's really why I'm here."
Cersei nodded. "Yes. I am Cersei. I must admit, I'm surprised you know me. Rebekah couldn't even guess when I found her."
Freya frowned slightly. "I traveled with someone for awhile. She told me a lot about Westeros." She didn't dare admit she had been with Arya. That could endanger both of them. "But in the end I came alone. My friend and I wanted different things."
Tyene bit her lip, sensing they needed to be alone. "I'll see if I can find Rebekah."
Cersei smiled. "Thank you Tyene."
Tyene nodded, walking away to find Rebekah. Freya frowned. "I get the feeling there's something I should know."
Cersei sighed. "Ever since I met your sister, things have been different."
Freya frowned. "Different how?"
Cersei sighed. "Tyene should be dying. But Rebekah said she saved her. And there are times i know I should be really upset with her. But it's like I can't get mad. Almost like she's making me like her."
Freya nodded slowly. "Have you told her any of this?"
Cersei nodded slowly. "She says she'll explain everything. But all she really does is make offers. She'll tell me if I do something for her. And it may not even need to be done."
Freya sighed. "Yes, that does sort of sound like her. I'm sorry to say it's kind of a family trait. But let me talk to her. And if I can't, maybe we'll talk later."
