I've come to make an announcement! Shadow the Hedgehog is a bitch-ass mother-fucker! He-
Okay… okay, I couldn't help myself, nor could I actually get further than the second sentence without starting to laugh out loud. If you got that reference, congratulations. If not, go on youtube and look up "Eggman's Announcement." You will be taken to the single most legendary ad-lib fan-dub of a videogame to ever be made.
Anyways… most people know November as No-Nut November, in which we all watch Vergil and Revengeance Status memes for a month to stay motivated and not reach an orgasm for a month, because this is apparently a challenge the internet came up with. Not participating myself, because quite frankly while I enjoy the memes I don't actually care, but November is also known as NaNoWriMo, aka National Novel Writing Month.
The challenge here is to write 50,000 words towards a novel of your choice. I probably participated without noticing when I was writing FAtD, but this time I am deliberately participating. That's right! I intend to write 50,000 words for Of Embers and Aura within the next 30 days. At the rate I write, that means I need to get roughly 5-7 chapters done by the end of the month. Which is actually a pretty tough challenge when I'm not on a writing spree. So ah, wish me luck I guess?
And uh, I guess while I have your attention, could I kindly ask my American readers to go vote on Election Day this year? I know it's only a congressional election, and that there's no presidential vote this time, but still, if you can, could you go vote? Preferably for Democratic candidates, but I'd honestly rather you participate in the political process of the nation at all than not. Too many people take the right to choose their representatives in government (nevermind the fact that they actually have a representative in government to begin with) for granted. Even if it's not someone I'd prefer you to vote for, I still think you should exercise your voting rights whenever you can.
That's it really. I just thought I'd tell you so that I have people to actually hold me accountable to doing this. Have a good November everyone!
