AN: just to answer a few 'concerns' ive seen amongst the reviews

starting low on the list someone mentioned making money by selling the dragon carcass. simply put such a thing doesn't exist in my world. just cuz harry killed it doesn't mean he suddenly owns the carcass. it still belongs to the preserve it came from thus they are in charge of disposing of the body

to the someone who is concerned about me going all "poor snape" no that will not be happening. hes a dick who i would gladly give a beatdown to. i just dont think theres anything wrong with saying he would like to properly teach potions to those who hold the same passion as he does for the subject.

To your concern about making Tora too op. simply put she's not. in my opinion over 90% of britians magical population is way under average in terms of magical prowess (yes including muggleborns and halfbloods) with a few outliers suchs as dumbledore, voldermort, harry and some others. I might not have explained it in the story yet but Tora is not from britain. She is a woman who deals in world trade. shes traveled, seen and fought all around the world and she knows from first hand experience how weak britain is. thus when she fights those from britain she seems op. also as to why she didn't kill voldemort then is simple too. he wasn't a mass murdering terrorist yet. he was merely a delusional arrogant prick still in his recruitment phase

to touch on the person who said that there were no consequences for harry telling off snape on front of the whole great hall. i wouldn't say there werent consequences but simply put even if there were they are irrelevant to write about. harry is past all caring about anything hogwarts related. you think he would really give a fuck about lost points or detentions had they been handed out. no he wouldnt which is why i didn't include it. it serves no purpose to say the Snape took 100 points and assigned a months detention if i have no point in making harry attend said detentions or care about said points

also about harry avoiding daphne in the library with no preconceived relationship. simply put there is no relationship between the two up to that point. harry wasn't avoiding daphne specifically in that scene he would've avoided anybody who came in besides the librarian herself, it just happened to be daphne.

also in regard to how 'fast' i pushed it to the first task. it is once again irrelevant and boring to write how harry avoided everyone in the castle and studied in abandoned classrooms by himself. writing about those things add zero substance to my story besides an inflated word count

lastly to the one who said he has to go back lest the world fall to voldemort. few things for you. 1. no he doesnt have to go back like literally ever. even if voldemort was taking over the only thing forcing him to go back would be his own conscious. otherwise he has zero obligation to go back. and before you start screaming 'prophecy, what about the prophecy. exactly what about it. look at the hall of prophecies in ootp how many of those you think come true or are real. point is it doesn't matter if its real or not because at the point of time in this story only three people know of it dumbldore, voldemort and snape. even if it was real harry doesn't give a fuck about it and he never will.

PS: just to fully end this author note. if you dont like my answers or reasoning to certain things i genuinely dont care. if you think this is too au or some other bullshit and you dont like it. i dont care. it called fanfic for a reason. what you like and dont like is your problem not mine. im writing this story for me and me alone and that extends to every fic i write, its for me and me alone. to the people who like it and the characters (Tora seems the best liked so far) i appreciate your words of positivity and encouragement. to those who only have negative opinions and reviews i truly dont care.

anywhoozie on to the story, ill try to make this a bit longer of a chapter to compensate for my ranting :P

Snape sat in one of the two chairs he kept in his office. They were mostly for show as any 'parent conference' was handled by Dumbledore himself. Snape was beyond nervous. What was this woman doing here. Well, he could take a guess but that didn't explain why she was here in his office.

"Come Severus, relax we both know had I any ill will towards yourself I definitely wouldn't cast suspicions upon myself by being the last person who saw you alive. Although I'm sure you are aware of the saying 'hiding in plain sight' thus by being the last person to see you all suspicion is cast directly away from me. Oh well thoughts for another day I suppose." Tora spoke as if genuinely giving the idea thought.

"With all due respect Mrs. Greengrass I do have essays to grade so if we could get down to business." Snape said about as polite as he would ever manage when not talking about potions.

"Ah yes very true time is indeed money. I knew you were a smart boy back then. Took my lessons to heart did you? Well right into it shall we. I need you to summon every student in Slytherin house from fourth year and up. Bring them all down to the lake. I have an offer of sorts."

Snape was slightly shocked by her request. he broke free of his stupor when Tora spoke again.

"Severus I meant now."

With that Severus shot up and was out of his office faster than Tora would've given him credit for. With a pleased smirk Tora stood up and made her way slowly towards the lake. She knew it would take some time to gather all the students.

Daphne was glad she chose to wait for lessons. She quietly laughed as she watched Harry fall of his board yet again. He had managed to stand twice for a combined total of three seconds. Goes to say he was horrible at whatever it was he was trying to do. At least that's what Daphne thought, she was rather content with her spot on the warm sand.

Nikki thought Harry wasn't half as bad as some people she had given lessons to. He had stood twice even if it wasn't more than a few seconds which was somewhat impressive given by the boy's own admission this was his first time at a beach. She figured if he practiced every day, he would be a decent surfer in a month or two.

Harry only a touch frustrated. Balancing on the surfboard felt way harder than balancing on his broom. As he thought about it, he figured it was because he was technically sitting on the broom. So he was really only balancing from the waist up. His problem was that he couldn't figure how to place his legs fast enough, so he always lost balance and fell. Preparing for the next wave coming he took a deep breath. Feeling the wave pick him up Harry slowly exhaled and closed his eyes. Quickly kicking his feet up onto the board, he felt it. Secure balance. A grin split his face as for the first time he was actually surfing. Eventually his excitement became his downfall as his foot slipped and Harry went crashing into the water. Harry surfaced with an enormous smile despite his crash. Flashing Nikki a thumbs up to say he was ok he grabbed his board and swam back to shore.

"Hey Daphne, did you see that. I fucking did it. I was surfing." Harry yelled at her excitedly

"Congratulations Potter. You've learned how to stand. I suppose for you it is a pretty big achievement." she replied dryly

"Hey that's mean. It's way harder than it looks. Plus I never said I was perfect and I doubt you could do better." Harry subtly offering the challenge with a smug grin.

Daphne narrowed her gaze at him. That smug grin of his irked her to no end. What she wouldn't give to wipe the floor with his face just to get rid of it. With less thought than recommended she accepted his challenge.

"Alright potter, starting tomorrow I'll be joining you in lessons."

"Great you can fill out your paperwork during lunch. If you have any questions, ask Harry he knows how it should look. Now speaking of lunch who wants pizza?" Nikki asked finally making back to shore herself.

"Pizza sounds awesome!" Harry said

"Great I'll go, anyone have any allergies? No? Great I'll be back in like 20 minutes." With that Nikki turned and left.

"What's pizza" Daphne asked quietly.

"Pizza is awesome. At its most simple pizza is bread that has sauce and cheese on top and then baked. you can also put all sorts of different meats and veggies on top as well. I think you'll like it." Harry supplied.

"Hm intriguing." Daphne said absentmindedly ponder all that was pizza. She was snapped out of her musing when potter poked her in the arm.

"Are you ok?"

"What do you mean potter. I'm fine." she said bemusedly

"No I mean are you ok? You left everything behind. Everything, your friends, your family, Hogwarts, your home. That couldn't have been easy." He clarified

Taking a moment to think on it she felt uneasy. Potter was right she had left everything behind and with such ease too. She understood that her choice was made after watching his uncensored memories, so it was very plausible her decision was affected by her emotions. Namely her rampant fear at learning what happened in the same school as her. Not wanting to think on it any longer for the moment she brush him off.

"I'll be fine potter. You should focus more on yourself and making sure you don't forget how to breathe properly." she said waspishly

Harry merely watched her silently for several moments as she stared out at the waves crashing upon the shore. Coming to a decision he spoke.

"Alright Daphne, but if you ever want to leave. To go back home to your friends. Your family. Just, just let me know and I promise I'll get you back faster than you can say supercalifragilisticexpialadocious." Harry offered with wan smile

No sooner than the two settling into a comfortable silence Nikki returned with two pizzas and Daphne's paperwork.

"Alright dudes I brought two different pizzas. I tried for a pretty generic spread of toppings. On this one we got pepperoni and sausage. A pretty basic meat lovers combo. On the other we have what is actually referred to as Hawaiian. It's got ham, bacon and pineapples. Funny enough Hawaiian pizza actually originated in Canada of all places so don't know exactly why it's called as such. Dig in." Nikki said grabbing herself a slice of each.

Daphne simply let potter take the lead as normal in such a situation. Harry understanding Daphne's hesitance offered her a slice of the Hawaiian while grabbing one for himself. Both shared a small glance before taking their first bites. Nikki found the reactions quite hilarious and odd at the same time. Daphne's reaction was one akin to taking a bite of heaven itself. Meanwhile Harry's reaction was more along the lines of disgust.

Quickly swallowing his bite, he felt his body shudder. Looking over he saw Daphne was practically in love with Hawaiian pizza. He and Nikki both watched in morbid fascination as Daphne wolfed down her third slice of Hawaiian. When Harry met Nikki's questioning gaze her gave the simple yet very truthful answer.

"She's never had pizza and I've never had Hawaiian. Though I doubt I'll ever have it again, rather bad taste."

Nikki nodded in understanding. Some foods you just could not stand, Nikki felt the exact same way about mushrooms and onions. Standing up she spoke to the pair before her.

"Alright unfortunately I do have a few errands to run so we'll have to cut our lesson short for today. But bring Daphne's paperwork tomorrow morning and we can get her set up to join you."

"For sure, thanks again Nikki you're amazing." Harry said

"Oh my, flattery will get you everywhere Harry." Nikki replied crossing her arms making her bikini clad bust a lot more pronounced. She flashed a saucy grin and wink before walking off. Harry was slightly embarrassed shown by the small blush creeping into his cheeks. Daphne felt a small surge of jealousy. But as quickly as it came, she ruthlessly squashed it down. There was absolutely no way she would be jealous that potter had lavished praise upon an, albeit reluctantly admitted, beautiful older foreign woman. And she definitely wasn't jealous that said woman had flirted in response and got a reaction out of potter. She was broken from her thoughts as Harry stood and spoke.

"Come on. We still need to fill out your paperwork and it's still early enough let's go find something else to do."
