Manny's sitting outside at Chuck's with a cup of coffee enjoying the sun, Chester comes outside and joins her
Chester (softly): Hey honey, are you ok?
Manny: I think I want to go home.
Chester: What about the press babe?
Manny: What about them, Chester? I'm a rising star, I'm on their radar now baby. It's just something I'm going to have to deal with.
Chester: (smiles): That's my girl
Manny: Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful and happy that Chuck and Tori opened their house to us, but I'd really just like to go home and be in our bed
Chester: I know baby.
Manny: Emma reminded me of something yesterday
Chester: What's that babe?
Manny: Not to let fear run my life
Chester: That's exactly right, honey
Manny looks to the side, watching the birds fly by as she takes a drink of Coffee
Manny: I love being a singer, for more reasons than one
Chester: But?
Manny: But I can't help but wonder when the next crazed obsessed fan or person will come up next
Chester: Manny, I know you're nervous, but don't give up on your dreams because you're afraid, honey.
Manny: I know.
Chester: And you know, I'm right here by your side, no matter what
Manny places her hand on Chester's leg
Manny: I know, and I'm so thankful for that babe.
Chester: Your happiness is what's most important to me
Manny: I know sweetheart.
Chester: You know what my dad used to tell me when I was afraid to continue something?
Manny: What's that?
Chester: He'd tell me " Son, never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game"
Manny (chuckles): Honey, I love you but I have no idea what that means
Chester (chuckles): It means don't let the fear get the best of you
Manny: Oh, ok. Now it makes sense
Chester: My point is, Manny, if you let fear get the best of you, you stop chasing your dreams. It's ok to be scared, but don't let that fear overpower your mind, babe
Manny smiles
Manny: You're right
Chester smiles at Manny
Chester: So, are you going to quit music?
Manny: No, I don't think so
Chester (smiles): That's my girl
Manny: This is something I need to do, not only for us, but for my career and my fans
Chester: I'm so proud of you, Manny.
Manny: I have a great support system, I couldn't be more grateful.
Manny's phone rings
Manny: Hello?
Danny: Hey Manny, How are you doing?
Manny: Oh, hey Danny. I'm doing as good as can be expected. How are you doing?
Danny: I'm hanging in there, I've been debating on calling you, but honestly, I figured you wouldn't want to talk.
Manny: Yea, I've been pretty shaken up since it happened, but I'm slowly starting to get better
Danny: Honestly, I'm just glad you're ok, Manny. I would've never forgiven myself if you would've gotten hurt or shot.
Manny: I really appreciate you checking in on me, Danny. And I know Chester appreciates it too.
Danny: Like I said, I'm just glad you're ok. Tommy called me earlier and mentioned he called you yesterday.
Manny: Yea, he talk to Chester. I was so shook up to talk to anyone
Danny: Understandable
Manny: I thought about quitting Music, honestly
Danny: Manny-
Manny: I'm not going to
Danny: Good, I'm glad
Manny: But when we were on our way home, the press was all over our house
Danny: I had a feeling that would happen, honestly. Are you guys, ok?
Manny: Yea, we're ok. We've been staying at my brother in law's since it happened
Danny: I'm glad you guys have somewhere safe to go. The press has been trying to get ahold of me about the incident too. I keep telling them no comment.
Manny: Yea, we're thinking about going back home soon, I know eventually, this will all blow over, but I just wish the press would go away and go bother someone else. I'm trying not to have to think about that day
Danny: I get it, it's something that none of us want to relive
Manny: Yea well, coming from someone whose already experienced something like this before, I'd rather not live through it a third time.
Danny: What do you mean?
Manny: There was a shooting at my school when I was in High School
Danny: Oh my gosh
Manny: Yea.
Danny: I'm so sorry, Manny.
Manny: It's not something I care to brag about.
Danny: I get it
Chester comes up behind Manny and begins rubbing her shoulders
Manny: I'll be back at the studio next week, though
Danny: Ok. I'll see you then, take it easy, Manny
Manny hangs up, then looks at Chester
Chester: You are the strongest woman I've ever met. Every day, you amaze me more and more with how strong you are babe.
Manny: I learned it from you, sweetheart
Manny said with a smile as she kisses Chester
Chester: Love you, baby.
Manny: I love you too sweetheart
Chester: Why don't we stay one more night at Chuck's just to be safe babe.
Manny: Ok, I can deal with that.
Chester: Then tomorrow, we'll go back home
Manny smiles
Manny: Home. Sounds amazing
Chester: Hey, listen. There's something I want to run by you
Manny: Ok, what is it?
Chester: I called Jayme, down at the record studio
Manny: Yea?
Chester: I got a job at the record studio
Manny: Really? That's great! But what about the record store and the radio station?
Chester: I took a leave of absence, after the shooting. Something just told me, to take some time off from there and try to get In at the Label
Manny: Awe, that makes me happy
Chester: I don't know exactly what I'll be doing yet, but I am hired I know that much, he's supposed to call me sometime this week to discuss what job I'll get
Manny wraps her arms around Chester's neck and smiles
Manny: I'm so happy about this sweetheart
Chester: I love you babe, things can only get better from here
Manny: I hope so, honey.
Chester: It will, I promise.
Manny: I can't wait to see what our future has in store, Chester
Chester: Me either Sweetheart, why don't we go out for lunch?
Manny: We can do that. Just hope the press don't find us
Chester: If they find us, so what?
Manny: Your right babe, come on, let's go get something to eat
They leave Chucks and go to the Dot. They sit down and enjoy a nice meal together
Chester: See babe, this isn't so bad
Manny (smiles): I guess you were right
Fan: Excuse me, I don't mean to bother you, but I was just wondering if I could get your autograph?
Manny: Sure, what's your name sweetie?
Fan: Melanie
Manny signs the autograph for the fan, smiles and hands it back
Manny: There you go, sweetie.
Fan: Thanks!
The fan walks away
Manny (smiles): That wasn't so bad
Chester (smiles): You just had your first real fan experience. How do you feel?
Manny smiles big
Manny: It felt really good
Chester: Good.
Manny: It's nice to be out and not be scared.
Chester: It's all about facing your fears honey
Manny: You're absolutely right babe.
Chester smiles
Manny: Have you heard from Jayme yet about the studio?
Chester: Not yet I'm hoping soon
Manny: Well, I know the label will be lucky to have such a handsome producer on their team
Chester: Oh? And just who might this handsome producer be?
Manny (chuckles): Uh, you of course
Chester laughs as his phone rings
Chester: Hello?
Chad: How's it going?
Chester: Hey what's up Chad?
Chad: How's Manny?
Chester: Things are getting better, thankfully. What's going on with you and Jamie?
Chad: Dude, we're solid. Things are great with us. I'm thinking about asking her to marry me
Chester: Dude that's great, I'm happy for you.
Chad: Where you guys at?
Chester: Down at the Dot
Chad: Oh, nice.
Chester: We're going back home tonight, if you and Jamie want to come by. We might have a fire tonight, grill some burgers, whatever.
Chad: Alright, yea, I'll talk to Jamie and see what she says.
Chester: Alright, send me a message later or give me a call
Chad: Alright, sounds good.
Chester: Love you little brother
Chad: Love you too, bro
Chad hangs up
Jamie: Who was that babe?
Chad: Chester. I called to see how Manny was.
Jamie: How's she doing?
Chad: Seems like she's doing better. They were out to eat at the Dot.
Jamie: I can't imagine how scared she was, breaks my heart for her just thinking about it
Chad: Yea, I know. They've been through so much together, it's like life keeps testing them on just how much more they can take before one of them snaps
Jamie: Exactly
Chad: I mean, Chester's finally found someone he's crazy in love with and life keeps testing them.
Jamie: Everything will work out for them. I know it.
Chad looks at Jamie
Chad: I love you; you know that?
Jamie (smiles): I love you too, honey
Chad softly kisses Jamie
Chad: We got invited to Chester and Manny's tonight for a cookout and fire.
Jamie: Awe, that's sweet of them.
Chad: Do you want to go?
Jamie: Of course
Chad: Ok, I'll call him and tell him
Chad calls Chester
Chester: What's up buddy?
Chad: What time do you want us to come over tonight?
Chester: We're at Chuck's now, so let me call you when we get home and situated
Chad: Alright, sounds good buddy
Chester hangs up
Chester (to Chuck): I really appreciate you letting us stay, I really do
Chuck: You guys, it's really no problem
Manny: I love you guys but I'm ready to go home to my own home
Chuck and Chester laugh
Chester: Come Summer, I'd like to get us 3 brothers and the girls together, maybe call Mom to come down too, have a cook out.
Chuck: I think that'd be a good idea
Manny's phone rings
Manny: Hello?
Reporter: Ms. Santos? This is Sam Norris from Channel 8 news-
Manny: How did you get this number?
Reporter: I was wondering if I-
Manny: How did you get my number? What do you want?
Chester looks at Manny
Manny (to Chester quietly): It's a reporter
Reporter: If I could just-
Manny: Leave me alone, I have no comment
Chester takes Manny's phone
Chester: If you want a comment, call Eve Davis at G- Major, she is handling all of the press comments
Chester hangs up
Chester: Are you ok, babe?
Manny: Yea, I'm ok.
Chuck: How did they get your cell number?
Manny: Probably the internet or something, I don't know. I need to call Eve and tell her
Manny calls Eve
Eve: Hey Manny, how are you?
Manny: Hey Eve, I just had a reporter call my cell phone asking for a comment about the shooting at the Label studio
Eve (sighs): What did you say?
Manny: I told him leave me alone and I had no comment
Eve: What was her name and station?
Manny: Uh, I think it was Sam Norris, from Channel 8 news
Chester places his hand on Manny's shoulder
Manny: Eve, hang on just a second
Manny puts the phone on mute and looks at Chester
Chester: Don't be mad but a reporter called me and left me a voicemail, I didn't tell you when it happened, it was the day after the shooting and I was trying to protect you from more trauma than you've already been through
Manny: And I'm just now finding out about this?
Manny unmutes the call
Manny (to Eve on the phone): Ok, sorry about that. I guess a reporter called my husband the day after the shooting as well
Eve: Did he answer the call?
Manny: No, we had our phones turned off.
Eve: Good. I will deal with this, are you doing ok?
Manny: Yea, I guess I'm as good as can be expected right now. My husband did tell the reporter that called me to contact you if he wanted any comments
Eve: Smart man. Alright, You guys take it easy. Thanks for the heads up, Manny.
Manny: No problem. Thanks Eve.
Eve: Have a good night
Manny: You too
Manny hangs up
Chester: Is she going to take care of it?
Manny: Yea, she's going to take care of the press. Chester, honey. Why didn't you tell me the press called you?
Chuck: It was my fault, Manny. I told him not to tell you
Manny: Chuck-
Chuck: It was the morning after the shooting, you were so shook up as it is, the slightest thing would scare you Manny, I told Chester to let it go. Last thing you needed was more added stress and scare
Manny: Chuck, really?
Chuck: Yes.
Chester: I wanted to tell you babe, but Chuck convinced me not to
Manny: As much as I love and appreciate you both looking out for me, you still should've told me, babe. I could've called Eve sooner for damage control
Chester places his hands on Manny's arms and looks at her
Chester: I love you, I'm sorry
Chester pulls Manny into his arms and holds her for a moment
Manny: I just want to go back to the way things used to be, is that so much to ask?
Chester: We will get through this Manny, I promise. Soon enough everything will go back to the way things use to be
Manny: I just want to go home, curl up in my bed and forget this whole thing ever happened
Manny turns around and looks at Chuck and Tori
Manny: Chuck, Tori, I really appreciate you letting us stay with you, more than you guys will ever know.
Tori gives Manny a hug
Tori: I love you, sister. We're always here for you and Chester, no matter what.
Chuck comes up next to Tori and places his arm around her
Chuck: Tori's right, it's what families do for each other. We're always happy to help
Chester: We love you guys, but we're ready to go home
Chuck: I get it, You guys have already been through enough and you guys have only been married a month
Chester: More than any other newlywed, but I wouldn't trade this journey for anything, Manny's my world, I'd do anything for her.
Chuck: I'll just say this, it's about damn time you finally found your happiness
Chester smiles as he looks over at Manny talking to Tori
Chester: Took me a while but I'm happy I found my princess
Chuck: Most importantly, do you think Bianca will get the hint now and leave you alone finally?
Chester: I hope so, I really do.
Chuck gives Chester a hug as Manny walks over to Chester and Chuck, as she wraps her arm around his back
Chester (to Manny): Are you ready to go home, babe?
Chester said with a smile as he wraps his arm around her waist
Manny (smiles): Yea
Chester and Manny say goodbye to Chuck and Tori as they leave and head back to their house
Chester: Let's go home, Princess
A short time later they arrive back at their house
Manny: It's good to be home.
Chester: I thought the same thing
Manny: Babe, listen. I want to thank you for being there, and being by my side through all of this, I know it hasn't been easy, but I really appreciate you taking care of me and being there for me. I'm sorry I put you through all of this.
Chester parks the car in the garage, and looks at Manny
Chester: Baby, you have nothing to be sorry about. I love you with all my heart, there's nothing I wouldn't do for you or to keep you safe. When you started your career, I knew what I was getting into babe. I wouldn't trade it for anything
Manny smiles
Manny: You always know what to say to make me smile
Chester: Well, I love seeing you smile
Manny said as she kisses Chester
Manny: I love you
Chester: I love you too. Come on let's go inside
They enter the house from the garage as Chester notices Manny smiling big.
Manny: I'm so happy to be home
Chester: Me too, I'm going to go fire up the grill, for when Chad and Jamie come over
Manny: What time did you tell them to come, babe?
Chester: I don't know, I told him I'd call him when we got home.
Manny: I'll call Jamie and tell them to come over in about an hour
Chester: Sounds good baby
Chester said as he kisses Manny then heads outside, Manny calls Jamie
Jamie: Hello?
Manny: Hey
Jamie: Hey! How are you doing?
Manny: I'm ok. We just got home about 10 minutes ago, If you guys still want to come over, come by in about an hour
Jamie: Ok, sounds good. I'll let Chad know. Hey Manny-
Manny: Yea?
Jamie: I'm so happy you're ok
Manny: Yea, me too. I'll see you guys in a bit
Jamie: Do you want us to bring anything?
Manny: Some wine if you want, other than that, no, I think we're good.
Jamie: Ok, sounds good. I'll see you in a bit
Manny hangs up, Chester comes inside a short time later and notices Manny looking out the window in the living room
Chester: What's wrong, babe?
Manny: Huh?
Chester sits next to Manny in the living room
Chester (softly): I said what's wrong babe? I came inside and noticed you staring out the window.
Manny: I'm ok, I'm just thinking is all.
Chester: About what?
Manny: How lucky I am
Chester (softly): Manny
She turns and looks at Chester
Manny: I have the best husband I could ask for, the best family, friends. I'm so incredibly grateful for everyone. Especially with what we've been going through. I don't know what I'd do without everyone, not to mention my fans too. All their love and support help keep me going
Chester: Honey, I am so incredibly proud of you, You're so incredibly brave, you're overcoming this fear you developed lately, you're insanely beautiful and talented, you should be proud of yourself baby
Manny smiles
Manny: I am. Thanks babe
Chester kisses Manny
Chester (softly): Anytime baby
Manny wraps herself in Chester's arms
Manny (softly): I love you.
Chester softly kisses Manny's forehead
Chester (softly): I love you too, Princess
Chester's phone rings
Chester: Hello?
Sean: Hey
Chester: Hey Sean, is everything ok?
Sean: Emma's in labor, for real this time
Chester hears Emma screaming in the background
Chester: Oh my gosh, that's amazing
Sean (to Emma): It's ok babe, just breathe
Sean (to Chester): Emma's mom is meeting us at the hospital
Chester: OK, We'll meet you guys there
Sean (to Emma): Breathe Em, just breathe, we're almost there
Chester hangs up
Chester (to Manny): Emma's in labor
Manny sits up and smiles big
Manny: I'll grab my sweater, I'll call Jamie from the car
They leave their house, short time later they arrive at the hospital, and head up to Labor and Delivery where they're met by Spike.
Manny: Hey mom, we got here as quick as we could
Manny said as she gives Spike a hug
Spike: Hey guys
Chester gives Spike a hug
Chester: Hey Spike
Manny: How's Emma? Did she have her yet?
Spike: I haven't seen Sean yet, so I don't think so. I just here maybe 5-10 minutes before you
Manny and Chester sit down next to Spike, an hour goes by and they see Sean come out
Spike: Well?
Sean begins to smile big
Sean: It's a baby girl, happy and healthy.
Spike gives Sean a hug as all 3 cheer
Spike: I'm so happy for you guys
Manny: How's Emma?
Sean: Her and Rose are doing good.
Chester places his hand on Manny's back as she smiles
Manny: Can we all go see her?
Sean: Yea, come on.
They all head to Emma's hospital room, as they walk in, they see Emma holding Rose
Spike (to Emma quietly): My baby had a baby!
Emma: Isn't she beautiful?
Spike: Sweetheart she's perfect
Manny (quietly): Oh my goodness, she's adorable
Emma said with a smile as Rose begins to start fussing
Emma (softly to Rose): Hey sweetpea, you have 3 very important people here ready to meet you
Emma said as she carefully places her in Spike's arms
Spike (softly): Hi honey, it's your nana, I've been waiting a long time to meet you.
Rose begins to fuss as spike begins to carefully bounce her in her arms
Spike (quietly to Emma): She looks just you when you were a baby, Em. Only difference is she has Sean's eyes
Emma: We're happy she's here.
Manny sits next to Emma on her bed
Manny: How are you feeling?
Emma: I'm happy she's not on my bladder anymore
They laugh
Spike: What did she weigh?
Emma: she was 7 pounds 3 ounces, 20 inches long. I was only in labor for 45 minutes
Spike: I'm so proud of you Emma.
Emma: Thanks mom
Emma said with a smile
Sean: I'll be right back.
Sean said as he kisses the top of Emma's head and kisses Rose's head
Sean: Daddy loves you princess
Sean said as he walked out the door
Spike: Manny, do you want to hold her?
Manny nods yes as Spike carefully places Rose in Manny's arms
Manny (softly chuckles): Hi babygirl, I'm your auntie Manny, I'm going to spoil you rotten
Manny said as she begins gently bouncing her in her arms as Chester stands next to Manny, placing his hand on the back of the baby's head
Manny: And this handsome guy here, that's your uncle Chester.
Chester Smiles
Manny: We're going to spoil you so much, princess
Rose begins fussing as Manny begins trying to soothe her she starting crying
Manny: Its ok baby girl, it's ok
Emma: She might be hungry
Manny hands the baby back to Emma as Emma gives Rose a bottle, a few minutes later, Sean walks back in the room
Emma (to Sean): Everything ok, babe?
She said as she burps the baby
Sean: Yea, I just wanted to call Mike at the shop and tell him I'm taking the rest of the week off to be with my girls, and I called Tracker
Emma smiles
Spike: Sweetheart, I'm going to go, I'll come see you once you get home.
Emma: Are you sure mom? You don't have to leave
Manny: Stay mom, Chester and I were going to leave soon anyway.
Spike (to Emma): I'm sure you're tired Em and you want to enjoy your time as a family now
Chester: Spike's right, Em.
Emma: You guys
Manny: Besides, we told Chad and Jamie to come over tonight
Emma hands the baby to Sean, as Emma gives Spike a hug
Emma: I love you, I'll call you tomorrow
Spike: I love you too honey, Congratulations
Spike softly kisses the baby's head
Spike (softly to the baby): Bye beautiful
Spike leaves
Manny (to Emma): She is absolutely beautiful Em, you guys did good.
Manny places her hand over Emma's
Emma (looking at Sean and Rose): She already has Sean wrapped around her little finger.
Manny abruptly gets up and runs to the bathroom
Emma (to Chester): Is she ok?
Chester: It's probably just from all the stress she's been under
Manny comes out of the bathroom a couple minutes later
Chester: Are you ok?
Manny: I've been nauseous on and off all day.
Emma: Manny, I've known you since forever, what's really going on?
Manny: Nothing, I think it's just stress.
Emma gives Sean a look, he nods as he places the baby in the crib next to Emma's bedside
Sean (to Chester): Hey why don't you and I head down to the café and get some grub, on me
Chester: Sounds good to me
Sean (to Emma): Call me if you need me babe.
The guys leave
Emma (to Manny): What's going on?
Manny: What are you talking about?
Manny gets a pained look on her face as she holds her stomach
Emma: Manny!
Manny: What, Em?
Emma: Is your period late?
Manny: Maybe, I – I don't know. I've been kind of dealing with a lot this week to really notice
Emma: When was the last time you guys had sex?
Manny: About 4 days ago
Emma: have you been cramping at all? Or extra Moody?
Manny: maybe a little but like I said I've been dealing with a lot.
Emma: You could also be Pregnant, Manny
Manny: No way
Emma: It might be early but you could very well be, Manny
Manny: If it'll make you feel any better I'll go get a test tomorrow
Emma (chuckles): Yes it will
Rose begins to fuss as Sean and Chester walk back in the room
Sean: I got her babe
Sean swoops Rose into his arms and begins to swaddle her
Sean (softly): What's the matter babygirl? Are you tired?
Manny: Well, I love you but Chester and I are gonna go.
Emma gives Manny a hug
Emma: Call me tomorrow
Manny: I will
Manny looks over at Rose and smiles
Chester (to Sean): Take care of our god daughter, bud
Chester and Manny leave to go home
Chester (to Manny): Do you want to call Jamie and Chad to come over still, or do you think it's too late?
Manny: We can call them and see if they want to come over for a fire
Manny calls Jamie
Jamie: Hey! How's little Rose? How's Emma feeling?
Manny: She's so beautiful, she looks just like Emma, with Sean's eyes
Jamie: Awe, I'm so happy
Manny: Emma's doing good. Hey, are you guys still wanting to come over tonight?
Jamie: Yea! If you guys want us to
Manny: Come over for drinks and a fire, we should be home in like 5 minutes
Jamie: Awesome! We'll be there soon. Do you need us to bring anything?
Manny (to Chester): Do you want them to bring anything?
Chester: No, we should be good
Manny (to Jamie): Chester says no we're good, but you can bring some wine for you and I if you want
Jamie: Sounds good, We'll see you soon
Manny: Ok, bye
They hang up as Chester pulls in their driveway, Chester looks over and sees Manny looking out the window
Chester (placing his hand on Manny's leg): Hey, I love you, you know that?
Manny: I love you too
Manny kisses Chester as they exit the car, she walks in the house, Chester walks in behind her as he wraps his arms around her
Chester: You know, we have a little bit of time before Chad and Jamie get here, we could-
Chester said as he kisses Manny's neck
Chester: We could try and make a baby
Manny turns around and places her hands on his chest
Manny: Not tonight
Manny turns and runs to the bathroom
Chester: Babe? Are you sure you're, ok?
Chester said as he hears Manny getting sick, a couple minutes later, he knocks on the bathroom door
Chester: Manny?
Manny opens the bathroom door
Manny: I'm ok, I think it's just stress, I'll be fine, Chester.
Manny hears a knock on the door, she goes to the front door and opens it to see Jamie and Chad
