PittBullBytes: Honestly I don't, actually know anything about the games. I never played them, watched all the animes but never played any games besides Digimon World Rumble 2.
Yea Akari is going a world where Digimon can partner with adults, or find a way around the system.
ZeroSpearow: Sadly Akari is being manipulated to not summon another Servant, so you won't see that for a while.
I was kind of nervous with Semiramis's stuff, I don't know her character super well but it seems I'm doing well. Yea Semiramis is going to be absolutely brutal to her experiment subjects, poor Future Wendy.
While yea I could go to Dragon Ball and raid Gero's lab, but that'd make Akari way to powerful too fast. This may be a Gamer fic but I'm trying not to go power fantasy mode, that's what my other gamer fic is for.
Getting a Leomon is basically asking for it to die. Sadly I haven't played any Digimon games besides Digimon World Rumble 2.
Bearticguy7: Yea I played it and got everything and… dear god the implications. Inklings and Octolings are scarily durable, like I'm not sure how powerful they actually are but they've defiantly risen up in my opinion.
myfunvideos: It was actually inspired by the fact I finally got to watch the Digimon Adventure Reboot, I kept meaning to but only got to watch it recently.
Honestly while I absolutely adore Wendy, experimenting on her is totally something Semiramis would do and the insane potential she has. Wendy transforming into an adult form? Huh first I've heard of it, but I haven't read the manga yet ether.
Digimon Frontiers is likely where Akari will go to, hell she can probably pretend to be a Digimon. Friendly Digimon is a great bonus as well. Only problem is the fact you can't really get a partner Digimon there, big sad.
I was ready to go to the Digital World, and it had been a tough choice.
Originally I planned to go to the Tamer's world, it was by far the easiest way to get a Digivice. However I had decided against this as it was a lot more combat focused their, and I don't want to risk dealing with the D-Reaper.
The original Adventure was tempting, however I'm fairly certain adults (I'm not sure if I can age, I think I'm around 15-17? So yea best not to risk it), cannot get a Digimon. I did want to search it however for the Digimental's.
And finally the world I had chosen to go to, Frontiers. Sure there were no Digimon partners here, but the power of the legendary spirits was worth it. Fairly certain I could also absorb the… Fractal Code? Yea it was Fractal Code, it made up the Digimon and Digital World of Frontiers. I remember Mercurymon using Seraphimon's Fractal Code to become ShadowSeraphimon.
Frontiers was simply the best option, I may be risking Lucemon and Royal Knights, but it had a far greater potential for power.
"You ready to go Quarts?". I asked, considering they were the one teleporting me it was just polite to ask.
[Yea, we're ready to go. I've set it up so you'll be able to telepathically communicate with Semiramis still. You made plenty of Homunculus Golems so Magnolia is pretty well guarded, and we've got a solid plan!... We do have a solid plan right?]
"Yes, yes we have a solid plan this time. Our main goal is trying to get as many Legendary Spirits and Fractal Codes as possible, if possible defeat Lucemon and get his Fractal Code. Avoid killing innocents if possible, but if I have to… it's for the greater good". I explained, my plan was simple and easily modifiable. I hoped to avoid the 'Greater Good' plans, but if I needed to, I needed more power.
[Alright! Beginning Kaleidoscope Transfer in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1!]
My vision was covered by the bright glowing colours of the Kaleidoscope, it was taking longer than last time I travelled the worlds, but I guessed that was just Quarts trying to locate the proper Digital World. At least, that's what I thought.
The first hint something was wrong was the fact the Kaleidoscope was starting to darken, its colours turning from bright shifting colours to grey, black and whites. The next was the golden lightning sparking about. Now I'm sure at this point, you've all realized I'm freaking out.
"QUARTS WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!". I had to fly away to avoid a strike of golden lighting, and created an ice barrier to stop another.
[I-I don't know! Something is hijacking the world travel process once we got close enough to the Digital Worlds! BRACE FOR IMPACT!]
The darkened Kaleidoscope ended and I found myself sinking into black waters. I could feel as it tried invading my body, it hurt! I struggled and thrashed about, I tried using my [Hydrokinesis} to control the water, but it didn't work at all.
GAMER'S MIND DAMAGED! GAMER'S BODY DAMAGED!
I could barely pay attention to the words appearing in front of me, my vision was turning black and I was running out of breath. I couldn't fly with my body trapped under so much water pressure, I had no water breathing abilities and my {Hydrokinesis} wasn't working. There had to be something!
I'm sure it was only my pure instinct to survive that saved me here, I felt a familiar chaotic and wild energy filling my body, it helped push back the pure darkness around me a little, but that wasn't the goal here.
"CHAOS CONTROL!". The words were forced out and immediately water entered my mouth, but I had managed it. Space-Time shifted around me, without a Chaos Emerald it was pathetically weak, but it got me on land.
Coughing out black water that felt more like tar, my head was fuzzy and my body hurt, but I'm sure if I passed out things would be far worst. So as much as I wanted to lay my head down, I didn't.
"Q-quarts, what just happened…". I managed to struggle out, my throat sore and aching. It took a few seconds for Quarts to respond.
[E-erorr, system error, rebooting… Owch! Owch owch owww! That hurt, how do you hurt a non-psychical entity like that!? uuughh, Akaarri? Something went, horribly wrong!]
"Yea, I can tell that from the… oh fuck, QUARTS WHY ARE WE IN THE DARK OCEAN!?". I stared around the world, empty and colourless. It was just so… dark, looking at myself my body had also lost its colour, besides my eyes still being a softly glowing cyan. I could feel the darkness in the air, attempting to invade my body.
[Okay okay we're… in a horrible situation frankly, {Gamer's Mind} and {Gamer's Body} have been damaged but it's not as bad as it sounds! They just may not be as effective as usual! So try and be more and DO NOT ENTER THE OCEAN! If you enter that ocean again, you won't come out the same. Also uhm… no its nothing, that won't be an issue]
"What about the Kaleidoscope? We need to get out of here fast!". Screw my desire for a Digimon, the Dark Ocean was one of the most mysterious and dangerous things in the entirety of Digimon. I did not want to be here for too long.
[Uhm, about that… uhm… It wasn't an issue before as we had time but uhm. Oh I'll just say it, I NEED TIME TO RECHARGE!]
I'll admit, my mind froze for a second. And then unholy rage came.
"YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU FUCKING DIDN'T TELL ME SUCH AN IMPORTANT DETAIL!? WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU NOT TELL ME WORLD TRAVELLING NEEDS A RECHARGE!". I shouted with unholy rage, normally this wouldn't happen but with how important it was, I had a right to be angry.
[I'm sorry! You were just, so excited with world travelling and usually it wouldn't take too long to recharge, so I just never mentioned it!]
"How, long!". I demanded.
[If it was just recharging the world jump it'd be easy, 5 minutes top. But I need to also fix [Gamer's Mind}, {Gamer's Body}, and some other things. It may take hours, or it may take just 10 minutes. I'm sorry]
"It's… alright, I just don't like you hiding things from me. I get hiding small things as jokes and stuff, but not important stuff like this okay?". The anger had faded quickly, Quarts was trying to fix things and I just had to deal with this.
[Sorry… I'm not able to talk while fixing your system, so you'll be on your own. Your skills and powers still work, but I'm not sure if any glitches will occur]
"Alright, you just… focus on fixing things, we need to get out of here fast as possible". I said, I could feel the… disconnect? Yea disconnect, of Quarts. I'm not sure what to do, but I may as well check the area I'm in, because it was not just a beach and forest besides a massive ocean.
Looking about, while I was currently on a beach, it at the edge of a massive city. While it may seem stupid to explore the clearly dangerous Dark Ocean, I know I can't stay by the water. What did I remember about the Dark Ocean?
It was pretty mysterious, and filled with dark entities. Shadowy monsters that pretended to be Digimon and was supposedly ruled by a Dragomon. I say supposedly because I both couldn't find any proof besides the silhouette of a Dragomon in the anime, along with the fact if the shadowy monsters weren't actually Digimon, than why would their leader be a Digimon?
There was also something I remember hearing from someone who had seen the Japanese version about how the shadow monsters didn't want to make Kari their queen, but instead breed with her to create a powerful enough entity to fight Dragomon. Considering Digimon weren't capable of breeding with humans, than yea that's another thing saying the shadows are not some type of Digimon… or they meant something different, let's just hope I'm dealing with the dubbed version of the Dark Ocean…
Dammit! I just wish some more info was known about the Dark Ocean, and I'm already regretting I can't ask Quarts for help now. I'm trapped in a world that was as mysterious as it was dangerous, some of my abilities were damaged, and now I'm just panicking all over again!
Taking a few deep breaths to calm down, god even if it was subtle {Gamer's Mind} really was helpful in keeping calm. Okay I needed to test my abilities, {Hydrokinesis} didn't work but I'm not sure if it just didn't work on the black ocean or if it was completely negated.
After a bit of testing with my magic, I discovered for most of them it just required a bit more energy than before. However when I had tested my {Lumokinesis}, it had cost me massive amounts of mana just to create a small flash.
Likely if I had some darkness based ability, it would be more powerful here. Something to look into in the… what? Staring at the new skill that appeared, I felt a shiver down my spine.

The power to manipulate and control Darkness/Shadows.
"Q-quarts?". I uttered quietly and hopefully, but not getting a reply in return I realized this was not natural. I resolved myself not to test this spell till Quarts was back and we're out of this place, I am not messing with the powers of darkness in a world called 'The World of Darkness'.
I needed to get away from the ocean, far away. I started running towards the city, unsure what I'd find but certain it'd be safer than being near the sea.
The city looked like a city, it had buildings, shops, and all the things a city would have. I even came across a small park filled with trees and a bond, filled with the same black water. It was unnerving, so realistic and yet empty.
What was this world? Its name, 'Dark Ocean' was fitting, even far away I could smell the sea and feel the darkness in the air. It didn't seem to be made of data like the Digital World ether, or maybe it was and I just couldn't tell.
What had dragged me here though? Quarts had said 'Something had dragged us here after we got close enough', so it wasn't powerful enough to drag me fully across dimensions but was still powerful enough once we got close enough to this world. I won't pretend to fully understand how world travel works, I left that to Quarts for a reason.
I guess I had no choice but to simply hope this situation didn't turn out to bad, or that Quarts could fix everything fast enough.
Oh dear, it seems Akari has gotten into some trouble. No Quarts, her abilities weakened, and trapped in the mysterious Dark Ocean. Do you know the best part about mysterious vague things in fiction? I can do whatever I want with them.
It's not the longest chapter, but I plan to make it up with some action next chapter. But what do you guys will think happen in the Dark Ocean? I'm curious what you guys believe.
