Chapter 4: The Intense Battle of Round 2? The Primal Magic of the Flaming Lioness vs The Advance Science of the Steel Demon! Part 1
Zoro was now in the med bay, his whole body was wrapped up heavily in bandages and he was hooked up to a machine that was not only refilling his blood but also injecting medicine to help him with the pain and speed up his recovery, his heart stopped beating for a moment so they had to restart it. He was currently sleeping, Hrist chose to stay by his side until he woke up. The rest of the Valkyries and Champions return to their rooms to watch the fight, only Brunhild and Geir return to the balcony to watch the next fight.
"I still can't believe that we won the last round, Zoro actually managed to beat Lord Joe." Geir told her sister.
"Don't get too comfortable, Geir. This is far from over so we can expect the Council to bring their A-game this time around." Brunhild told her.
"W-Who do you think they'll send out this time? Geir asked nervously.
"I don't know but whoever it is we can only have faith and be ready." Brunhild said seriously.
Meanwhile, with the Council of the Galactic Empire, all five members along with Prince Imukat were having a meeting to discuss the outcome of Round 1. To say that they were shocked and more so even infuriated by the fact they lost was an understatement.
"Greetings council members, you all wish to discuss the outcome of Round 1?" Prince Imukat asked in a neutral tone.
"Yes! Those filthy monkeys actually manage to win, do you know what that means for us?" King Androway said in a deadly serious tone.
"I personally blame our first loss being due to Joe being Fug." Mr. Bonglant told them
"I understand what you're saying, King Androway. And with all due respect Joe did his best and if he had gotten serious from the start he would have won." Prince Imukat stated firmly.
"But he didn't on both accounts and as Ryuya put it best, that human was likely stronger than him." Mr Bonglant countered which tick off the Prince.
"This is unexpectable, we can't let these filthy monkeys get ahead of themselves." King Androway said commandingly.
"Well, I can say this, I do not worry that we will lose this tournament, we have the unstoppable Griskium. Plus we can make more money by having the people place bets on the fights on both sides." Fukaic Varpide said plainly.
"Even so it will be a while before he fights we need to bring our A-game in the next round." Prince Imukat said seriously.
"Oh, How about Saluvia? He has powerful deadly chemical magic that humans can't handle with a slightly high dose of Lead, or Sulfuric acid." En Dwi suggested.
"That will work." Prince Imukat stated.
Back in the arena, it was fully restarted after the intense battle between Joe and Zoro. Everyone was wondering who would be fighting next and if it was possibly for them to win. Brunhild had a firm and determined look on her face while Geir had a concerned and worried look on her face.
"GREETING EVERYONE! AFTER THE INTENSE BATTLE OF ROUND 1 IT'S TIME FOR ROUND 2 TO BEGIN AND THE ONE FIGHTING IS A TRUE MONSTER!" Heimdall shouted. "FIGHTING FOR HUMANITY IS BREAST OF A HUMAN, HER POWER IS UNRIVALED EVEN BY HER OWN BROTHER! SHE WILL FLAMES HOTTER THAN ALMOST ANYTHING ELSE WITH FIERCE STRENGTH TO MATCH! HER PRIMAL MAGICAL POWER IS ON IT'S VERY ONE LEVEL EVEN FOR A MAGIC KNIGHT CAPTAIN, SHE USE TO BE THE CAPTAIN OF THE CRIMSON LION KING, SHE IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE STRONGEST FEMALE MAGIC KNIGHT CAPTAIN! SHE IS THE FLAMING LIONESS QUEEN OF THE CLOVER KINGDOM… IT'S MEREOLEONA VERMILLION!" Heimdall shouted pointing at the entrance but no one showed up. "Huh?" He said confused. It was quiet for a while when the sound of explosions were heard and a large figure was sent flying and slamming into the ground, it was revealed to be a large bulky three headed alien warrior with one eye, he was covered in burns and bruises all over his body. Mereoleona then came up with a crazed grin on her face, she was wearing the same gray cloak as Zoro did.
"Hahahahaha! Is that the best you got!? What a waste of good strength." Mereoleona said, laughing.
"NOW FACING THE DEADLY LIONESS IS THE MIGHTY SALUVI-" He was about to announce but got a notification in his earpiece and was told of a switch up. "Huh!? Seriously!? Alright, I'll let them know. APOLOGIZE IT'S SEEM WE HAVE A CHANGE OF FIGHTERS! NOW FIGHTING FOR THE GALACTIC EMPIRE IS A TRUE GENIUS EVEN FOR KIND! HE CREATES THE MOST ADVANCE AND HELPFUL MACHINES AND THE MOST DEADLIEST WEAPON THE GALAXY HAS SEEN! WEARING A POWERFUL SUIT THAT COULD SAVE OR DESTROY A PLANET AND MORE SO! BUT THE TRULY SCARY PART IS HIS MIND, A MIND THAT COULD HELP OR WIPE OUT THE MULTIVERSE! A REAL DEMON OF METAL, IT THE SMARTEST SCIENTIST AND INVENTOR OF THE GALAXY… METAKKYU!" Heimdall shouted, heavy footsteps could be heard as Metakkyu walked out the entrance in his warmachine robot suit, its eyes glowing blue.
Mereoleona chuckled and cracked her knuckles while Metakkyu looked down at her and was scanning her, both of them were ready to begin. This battle was going to be different, magical power against technical power, human vs. machine, however it played out it would be a flashy one.
"Hehehe, I was hoping I'd be next… I couldn't wait for my turn." Mereoleona said with an excited grin.
"Hmmm, you are quite a peculiar human. But your power level is huge even for a human of the magic variety but it's to be expected from a human that trains by Brunhild." Metakkyu said calmly.
"Hahaha, I'm the toughest around last thing you'll ever meet." Mereoleona said with a confident smirk.
"Well see about that, the time for talking is over let's get this over with.* Metakkyu said, his metal fist clenched.
He throws a hard and insanely fast punch right at Mereoleona but she counters with a punch of her own and stops the strike all together, it was a surprise for Metakkyu she cackles and throws another one right to the stomach area and knocks him back a bit. The strength behind the punch was more than Metakkyu thought and saw a dent was barely formed but it was there, Metakkyu power up his mecha suit and had it charge forward to throw a more powerful punch and the robotic fighter meant the punch with his own and it created a shockwave. Metakkyu and Mereoleona throw punch after punch and soon they in battle of barrages which created shockwaves, Mereoleona cackles and throws a savage and deadly punch to the head of the mecha suit and causes it to stagger back. Metakkyu's head is fine, just knocked back and unleashing a barrage of fast and hard punches, she counters with her own punches creating small shockwaves and the clash of blows ends with another punch to the chest and creates a deeper dent. Mereoleona looked at her knuckles and saw they were bruised up a bit and felt a little sore and she grinned and was done with the warm-up and activated her magic and unleashed blazing red flames from her fist.
"No more playing around, time to really heat things up." Mereoleona said, smirking.
"So you wield magic, such a primitive ability." Metakkyu said, scanning the Magic Knight Captain.
She attacks with Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium, a powerful fire punch aimed right to the face of the mecha suit and creates an explosion! And actually sent the Metakkyu skidding back and had a burnt fist shaped dent.
"Don't go underestimating the power of a Magic Knight!" Mereoleona said with a savage grin.
Mereoleona lunged forward and attacked with another Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium to the mech's face this time and followed up with more flaming punches without stopping and sent Metakkyu into the wall. Metakkyu's gut up and his movement were a bit glitchy, having taken heavy damage but was able to function and created a hydro cannon and fired a giant ball of water right at her but Mereoleona punched it with a flaming fist and caused it to evaporate.
"Next!" Mereoleona shouted with an excited smile.
Metakkyu made a few calculation and rocket thruster appeared on mecha's back, feet and legs, and elbows, he rush at her and attack with Heavy Impact, throwing a hard punch but Mereoleona dodge the skin of her cheek and hit him with Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium damaging the mecha's gut. Metakkyu attacked with Heavy Impact: Rocket Barrage, throwing powerful punches at rapid fashion, Mereoleona was able to dodge all of the punches and counter with her own fiery punches.
"Next!" Mereoleona shouted, egging Metakkyu.
Metakkyu back away and place a few bots onto the ground around Mereoleona, it was six in total and machine gun appeared and fired a black blob at her and engulfing her, the magic knight struggle for a few moment and in explosion of flames and she was laughing once more. Mereoleona lunges forward and smash each of the machine gun bots, reducing them to flaming nuts and bolts.
"Next!" Mereoleona shouted, the alien scientist was surprised.
She lunge forward and smash her flaming fist into the mecha's face and follow up with Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium to the gut and decided took take it up a notch and attack with Mana Zone; Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium Barrage which engulf the alien fighter in flames, assaulting him in multiple strikes from all directions! Mereoleona finishes with one final powerful fiery punch, leaving the mecha suit burnt and covered in deep dent all over.
"Hmph, I was expecting more from the so-called Steel Demon. You might want to change your name to the Tin Demon." Mereoleona said, barely breaking a sweat.
Metakkyu's heavily damaged mech suit picked itself up and was sparking and glitching. Many thought it wasn't going to fight like that but then more machine parts dropped from the sky and attached to the suit and after activating the self-repair funfiction it was good as new. Metakkyu was now bigger and bulkier with more armor upgrades, its new parts were golden and black on the arms, legs, chest and head.
"Metakkyu's Steel Demon Battle Suit 2.0 activated." Metakkyu said, his voice deeper.
"Hehehe, how interesting. I was hoping that this battle would last longer than it did." Mereoleona said, taking a fighting stance with her fist a blaze with fire.
Metakkyu attacked with a Rocket Punch, Mereoleona dodge it and lunged forward but Metakkyu used the rocket buster to close the distance and hit her with Heavy Impact, knocking her into the arena wall! The fist returned to Metakkyu and scanned for Mereoleona and it showed she did survive and the proof of that was a burst of fire and a bloody Mereoleona appeared, she had taken a nasty hit to the face but despite the damaging blow it seemed like she was barely affected. Mereoleona licked her lips and cracked her knuckles, the magic knight lunge forward and hit Metakkyu with Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium right to the face but the blow barely dealt damage and Metakkyu counter with a heavy blow to the stomach, making Mereoleona spat out blood but much to Metakkyu's surprise she was able to caught the fist and the attack with a blazing kick right to the face once more! Making it stumble back a bit, a more visible dent with a scorch mark was seen but it wasn't severe, Metakkyu activity his weapon system and two sent of turret guns appeared on his wrist and shoulders along with missiles launchers added to the shoulders as well, Metakkyu attack with Bombardment unleash rockets and laser blast at her but Mereoleona unleash a barrage of punches and use Mana Zone: Calidus Brachium Consecutive Attack but Metakkyu wasn't stopping and soon the laser and missiles hit her and dealt damage to her face, stomach, right shoulder, and left leg. She endured it and unleashed a blast of fire from her mouth to take out all the missiles and lasers and even hit Metakkyu, the mecha suit only had minor burns and was still functioning well. Metakkyu rush at the magic knight captain and attack with Heavy Metal Boxing, a barrage of heavy blow that Mereoleona meet with own punches adding fire into the mix, the exchange of blows created shockwaves and it look like it would create a standstill but Metakkyu dodge and smash his fist into her face and pummel her body and sent her flying into the wall. Mereoleona got up once more, badly bruised and dripping blood but she still had a smirk on her face, her fists and cut and bruised up. Metakkyu attack with Heavy Impact but Mereolena caught the fist and tighten her grip and gather a large amount of mana and Metakkyu's scanner pick up the gathering of energy and use Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium Purgatory creating a big blast of flames that engulfed Metakkyu and a bit of the arena, there was a was cloud of dust and when it started to clear both Metakkyu's mech suit was covered in more visible burns but was still functioning but Mereoleona was on one knee and spit up blood,
"Hehehe, I guess I don't have a choice. Those fancy eye techniques aren't enough." Mereoleona thought, licking blood off her lips.
A red aura came off Mereoleona's body and coated her body, then a set of orange rune arrays appeared, they wrap around her arms and hands, have three on her arms and two in her fingers. Metakkyu's scanner picked up an increase in power, Mereoleona's power had spiked a bit and this concerned the alien scientist especially with the predatory look in her eyes, they had an odd white glow to them.
"I see now, that's how she was able to dodge most of my strike and even survive." Metakkyu thought. "To think such a savage would be able to use Kinetic Eyes. Hm?" He picked up an increase in heat and it was continuing to rise.
Mereoleona's body tensed up and her injuries started to heal a bit, confusing Metakkyu. The magic knight captain chuckled and cracked her knuckles, she had to use a combo of Mana Skin and Mana Method plus something more.
"Come and get some." Mereoleona said with a challenging smirk..
"Time to be annihilated." Metakkyu said, and rushed at her.
He throws a powerful punch at full force aiming right for the head, Mereoleona smirks and moments later, a flaming strike hits him, knocking him back. He staggered back and was confused and Mereolona rushed forward and three more strikes hit him in the face which left more dents and burnt. Metakkyu attacked with Heavy Impact and Mereoleona counter with a move that was a combo of Kinetic Eyes and Instanct Reaction, Flame Magic: Flashfire Combo x5 hitting five more times! Metakkyu knocked back with five burnt fist shape dents but was still standing, he was shocked by the power behind the blows.
On the Balcony of Humanity
"Sister… Mereoleona is crazy strong! All that training really paid off for her huh?" Geir said in awe. "With the Kinetic Eyes is practically untouchable."
"She is indeed stronger than what she was before but let's not celebrate yet, the Kinetic Eyes has enhanced her vision greatly and allow her to see every possible detail but they leave a great strain on the ocular nerves and brain." Brunhild told her in a serious tone. "It's not something that can be used constantly."
"R-Right… even so, does she have a real shot of beating Lord Metakkyu?" Geir asked, pulling a more durable and advanced scanner to check their power levels.
"It's all up to her." Brunhild told her.
Back in the arena, Mereoleona chuckle and rush forward at Metakkyu and attack with a flaming punch right to the face but Metakkyu blocked with his right arm and throws a fast left punch right to the head but the Magic Knight Captain is able to dodge and counter with Flame Magic: Flashfire Combo x7 hitting the mecha suit seven more time powerful blazing hit! The powerful mecha stagger back and attack with Heavy Impact right to the head but Mereoleona dodge and counter with flaming uppercut to the abdomen of the battle suit, Metakkyu attacks with Heavy Metal Boxing but Mereoleona dodge even one of the punches and attack with Flame Magic: Flashfire Combo x9 unleashing nine more powerful strike to the body of the mecha battle suit. Metakkyu checked the state of the battle suit and it was still functional but the intense flames and heavy strike were starting to wear down the metal and that could pose a problem if not corrected, so the alien scientist activated a few of his weapons and gear.
From within space a bulky satellite from a few pods and then drop down onto Osoyk and into the arena surprising many people and aliens, they attached to the Metakkyu's body and it was some kind of weapon, a large tank on the back with a tube attached to a cannon on the right arm of the mecha and aim it at Mereoleona.
"Just so there is no confusion, I will give you a chance to surrender in order to spare your life. I am not like Joe or the others in wanting to kill you or your species." Metakkyu told the Magic Knight. "Honestly if I wanted to I would just walk away but I can't… so will you comply or face certain death?" He asked her.
"Hahahaha, who do you think you are? This is a battle to the death… I will fight you tooth and nail to the bitter end!" Mereoleona shouted, flames surrounding her body!
"Very well." Metakkyu said in a more solemn tone.
He attacked with Blasting Freezer, firing a stream of liquid ice at her, Mereoleona blocked with her arms and as the fluid hit a mist was created as she was engulfed, it lasted a minute before Metakkyu was sure she was completely covered. When the mist cleared up it was revealed that Mereoleona was frozen solid in ice, many were shocked by this and dreaded the worse believing the Magic Knight was done for.
"You should have surrounded then maybe you could have possibly lived and see your family again." Metakkyu told her.
Heimdall was about to call it but a crumble sound was here, a crack appeared on the frozen Mereoleona, more cracks appeared until a burst of steam was released! Mereoleona's cackling was here which shocked everyone especially Metakkyu, when the steam cleared up Mereoleona had a thick red orange glow around her body along with a more intense red flaming aura and had two more rune array on her arms and three on both of her legs, she exhaled and embers came out.
"That was pretty chilly but it will take more than ice to beat me." Mereoleona said, with a smile while cracking her neck. "If I didn't have this Aura stuff around my body I may not have been able to break out." She thought.
On the Balcony of Humanity
"Oh wow… Mereoleona was able to survive that, she's really scary." Geir said with a shiver.
"Indeed, it seems like she is really showing off the results of her training now." Brunhild stated.
Flashback
Mereoleona was sparring with Yang and Captain Marvel at the same time, she was bloody and bruised but she still had her smile as intense flames surrounded her body. The three continue to exchange blows until Mereoleone knocks Captain far enough to bump into Garou who was fighting with All Might at the time and that gains his attention and attacks her, which leaves Yang and Mereoleona fighting one-on-one. The fight lasted until Yang was unable to get up and that was a bit after her Aura ran out and they took a break, the two were sitting by a fire made by the Magic Knight and were eating some of the food that the Valkyrie brought.
"You're pretty tough for a kid." Mereoleona told her.
"I can say the same for you lady, you're crazy strong." Yang said, amazed by Mereoleona's strength and power.
"Hehehe, I spent a long time training both my power and mana." Mereoleona said with a chuckle. "But who would have thought there would be even more strong fighters out there, I'm pumped for this tournament just the thought is making my blood rush in excitement!"
"I see what you mean, it is kinda overwhelming a bit in all." Yang said, rubbing her neck.
"Indeed but if this training helps then it will all be worth it." Mereoleona told her. "What I find interesting is that Aura stuff you have, how does it work?" She asked.
"Aura is like an extension of the soul, it protects us from taking damage but if we take too much then we are vulnerable but it does give us access to our Semblance, that ability that comes from Aura and depending on the person the power is different." Yang explained.
"I see… is it possible for anyone to gain this Aura?" Mereoleona asked her.
"Yeah, there are two ways through training and the other is with the help of someone else with Aura." Yang told her.
"I see then awaken my then." Mereoleona told her, surprising Yang.
"You sure? I mean I'm just surprised and I'm not even sure if it will work with the two of us being from two worlds in all." Yang told her.
"It's worth a try, right?" Mereoleona told her. "And if this works I'll teach you some magic, I'm sure that will work with your Semblance and you might gain even more power, Little Dragon." She said with a smirk.
"Alright, here goes nothing." Yang said, a bit nervous.
Yang place her hands on Mereoleona shoulders and activated her Aura, she was having a little trouble at first but then she was able to do so and was shock by the amount Mereoleona could gain and when she awakening it a huge orange aura surrounded her body and cause her magic to react and release intense flames, they clash for a moment until Mereoleona was able to control her power and calm it down.
"Huh, so this is it? Pretty intense stuff." Mereoleona said with a smirk. "Alright then, let's get back to training!"
"Yeah, I would be lying if I didn't want to see the extent of this new power!" Yang said, taking a fighting stance.
The two rush each other and when their fist connects it creates a flash of orange and yellow light!
End of Flashback
Mereoleona cracked her knuckles and walked up to Metakkyu, the amount of heat she was releasing was melting then ground under her, her skin was sizzling and Metakkyu couldn't understand how this was possible but kept calm.
"Let's keep fighting, I hope you're able to handle this. It would be a shame for you to die so quickly." Mereoleona said with a savage smirk.
"Indeed, and I can assure you that I won't be the one dying." Metakkyu said firmly.
He attacks Blasting Freezer once more but Mereoleona releases a wave of heat from her body and cancels out the attack, she then lunges forward and attacks with Flame Magic: Scorching Blow! A single punch with a large amount of heat stood and released as an explosion, Metakkyu was knocked and the blow left a molting dent in the abdomen area and a bit melted. Mereoleona lunge forward and attack with Flame Magic: Flashfire Combo x11 unleashing multiple strikes all over the mecha suit and damage it more and finish with Flame Magic: Calidus Brachium aims right to the face and knocks him into the wall. Metakkyu's mecha suit was sparking and glitching out from the damage of being burnt and melted, Mereoleona was chuckling as she walk forward towards the down alien fighter, Metakkyu manage to get the macha suit up but it was heavily damaged so he had to abandoned it for a stronger version.
"Her power keeps rising along with the heat, I was hoping to end this as humanely as possible but if I want to survive and win this fight I'll have to get serious with this." Metakkyu thought to himself, he punched in a few keys then ejected.
At the same time, Mereoleona rushed forward and the mecha with a fiery punch and caused it to explode! She check the held but saw it was empty, she didn't believe this was over and was right when a large shadow was above her and something came crashing down, trying to crash her but she was able to dodge and saw the Metakkyu was once again in a mech suit only this one was larger and more high-tech, it colors match the first one but it was now wielding a plasma buster sword on his back and had a more intimidating aura but Mereoleona had vicious smile on her face and was getting really excited now.
"So it seems you have more toys stuffed away, good. I'll burn through as many as it takes to get to you. So bring you all into this fight!" Mereoleona shouted, releasing intense flames as she lunged forward!
"You should show more caution, human. It could save you." Metakkyu said seriously, holding out his hand and firing a laser blast!
Been a while since you've all seen this but rest assured that this is not done the same for God-Taisen just being dealing with a mix of writer's block and in the process of moving, I'm going to update both chapters so don't worry. Hope you ready for more action because things are only going to get more heated!
