Legoshi continued to stare at himself in thought for a few minutes in contemplating what to do now that he had no obligations now. His professional or at least courteous side eventually suggested to him to tell the Grand Priest this news so that it would be official and that he would not get into trouble for not working. Using the Supreme Kai ability of instantaneous movement that he learned from observing Gosha Legoshi teleports to the palace of Grand Zeno and informs the Grand Priest of his completed training. The Grand Priest congratulates Legoshi and informs him that while in reserves he has no obligations unless called upon by either him or the Omni King, but also says that since he is only in reserves that he could not exercise the power or authority of a Angel unless granted permission, which as of now is currently reserved from using. The Grand Priest iterates that is not a punishment but merely a precaution/rule to not upset the balance of power in the multiverse. Legoshi nods in acknowledgment before leaving the palace.
Legoshi ponders again as to where he wants or should go to next now that he was basically on vacation until further notice. Legoshi had been working as a deity for the vast majority of his existence and now it seems one of the most fundamental questions is stumping him the most. He reflects on his past experiences for a guide. The only personal conversation he ever had was with Loona about his mortal years and what being a deity is like. Legoshi remembered Loona talking about her adoptive father Blitz and while he was a pain in the ass, he was better than the biological parents that had abandoned her. That word kept ringing in Legoshi's ears when he thought about it.
"Parents...parents... What of...my parents?"
Legoshi did not have a strong emotional attachment to his parents due to their distance approach to him due to his absurd strength. And while that had a negative impact on his socializing his parents still provided for him and bought things for him so that had to mean something of caring.
"Maybe I should go see them... I hope Bill can help me find them."
Legoshi flew back to the afterlife train station and met up with Bill.
"Hey Bill... is there anyway you can help me locate my parents in the afterlife?"
"Sure, though I might need a blood sample to find them since their life information is already archived. Also, what's with the get up? Those aren't your usual robes."
"It's the only other pair of clothing I have since my authority and right to use my angelic power is currently being held in reveres since I'm not fully employed as an Angel yet... But I'm basically on vacation until further notice now."
"It's a good thing your a God or else that would suck balls my friend, but at least you still have the job. Anyways, can you make a sample of blood?"
"Sure."
Legoshi scratches the palm of his hand hard enough to draw blood. The wound immediately closes but a few drops of blood manage to find their way onto a dish that Bill has in his office. he runs the blood through a machine that takes about 20 minutes to find 2 matches. One is his father, who was currently working in train station they were at, and the other is his Mother, who was currently in heaven.
"Hmm... looks like your Father, Miyagi, is working as a conductor of the train going to the hell of World #708. Your Mother, Leano, is in Heaven in-between the insect and flowering section... odd choice. Now are you sure that you want to wear that? Not that I'm dissing you or anything but you will kind of stand out. I got some normal wear for you to have if you want."
"I would appreciate that, but I think I will stick with this for now."
Bill just shrugs and calls for someone to get a set of t-shirts, jeans, underwear, sneakers, socks, sweat pants, and hoodies that can fit a size 6 foot 2 wolfman. a Giraffe woman comes out, 15 minutes later, with 4 pairs of each set of clothing that she places in a large suit case that she rolls over to Legoshi. Legoshi Noticed the black suitcase also had 2 straps on the back of it to allow him to carry it on his back.
"Can you actually leave that with Bill? I'm going to go see my parents and will be back for them later."
the Giraffe woman nods and leaves the suit case next to a waiting couch in the room and walks away. Bill Hands Legoshi a data pad with a map of the two places he wants to go already on display.
"Thanks Bill... Make sure no one steals my gifted clothes while I'm away." Legoshi waves as he jugs away.
"Wouldn't dream of it! and No problem! stuff like that is a coin a dozen." Bill said as he waved Legoshi off.
Legoshi pulled his hood over his head enough to conceal his face as he made his way to where the train for World #708. It took Legoshi about 30 minutes to find the train among a universe's worth of other trains for all the worlds in it. He looked at the conductor of the train to make sure it was the man he remembers all those millennia ago. The man that he saw motioning the people to come aboard was like looking at a older looking version of himself with minor differences. Legoshi was not 100% confident but had a strong feeling that this was indeed his father.
Memories of his mortal years flooded the front of Legoshi's mind. His child years with his parents turning from close to distanced as they learned how strong he was. He remembered breaking his father's hand when his father tried to teach him how to shake hands with another person, especially another man. He remembered after that how overly cautious his Father became around him when it came to objects and toys. His father was still supportive of him and his mother with work and gifts, but he became further distanced away until his father was too afraid to even hug him. Legoshi could remember the look in his father's eyes as he tried to hug him as it was a mixture of fear and sadness as it looked like he was compelling himself against his fraternal wants and instincts. His last memory of him was him admitting the truth of his distanced relationship with him as a accumulation of precautions and fears over the years and his self conditioning to do what he could to stay sane in the messed up world they were in while still being a supporting father. His last words he remembered were before being drafted were:
"I wish things didn't have to be this way in this messed up world. While I can't tell you truthfully how I feel about you for I felt that was robbed from me based on our circumstances, but just know that I still want to be a father to you... even though it probably does not look that way to you... I love you son... for what little that is worth in this world."
Legoshi decided to test whether or not this was his father and what feels now for his son by entering the conductor's room and sat on the floor.
The conductor finished his usual inspections of the passengers before going to the front and starting the train.
"You know that I'm the only one allowed up here sir? You are going to have to go to the passenger carts."
"I know, but I thought you could use someone to talk to today. Having to go to any kind of Hell multiple times a day for years on end must be pretty exhausting and unnerving work."
Legoshi did not want to do this but he used his mind manipulation abilities to influence this man's thoughts to allow him up here.
"It did at first, but after so long it does not really affect me anymore... although the occasional screamers make me twitch sometimes. I'm not much of a conversationalist... at least not anymore so I don't see why you would want to talk to me. There is also nothing else up here but me and some buttons and leavers."
"I know all to well how it feels to be not much of a conversationalist. My world went down hill into oblivion a long time ago... I was probably there for its final breaths and didn't really get a lot of time to make friends or meaningful relationships."
Legoshi was using his power to also disguise his voice and make it look like there was a yellow halo over his head like the dead had.
"Sounds a lot like my world before I died... I left a lot behind.. both good and bad."
"Like what if I may ask?"
"Dreams of being a international famous actor for one, although I eventually used my acting career to escape reality like everyone else was probably trying to do. It helped with staying together, but probably also hurt in other areas of my life... facing reality being chief among them of course."
"We all do what we can to have our little bit of comfort and joy so I don't blame you for trying to live a better life for yourself... even if it was a fantasy."
"Yeah.. it's easy to say and look at now, but it was not a harmless crime. It also effected my already strained relationships at the time as well."
"Oohh? Like with family and friends?"
"Yes, though I lost friends overtime because of my escapism and the world going to sh$% in general. I did have a family, a wife and son... both I have not seen ever since my death."
"What was your relationship with your family like?"
"For someone on a train to Hell you ask a lot of personal questions."
"Just call it a man's last attempts at making friends before he goes."
the conductor shrugs at this.
"I guess I can't fault you there."
The conductor pulls a leaver that switches the train's path.
"As for my family? Everything started out like a normal family life: Falling in love , marrying, honeymoon, having my first born. I don't know why or how, but my first born turned out to have very unnatural strength to the point that it became a problem for the 3 of us. The little boy managed to crush my right hand when he was 5 when I was just trying to show him how to shake hands. I know he didn't mean it, but since learning just how strong he was and was becoming I kept my physical activities with him to a minimum and eventually phased them out completely. I remember playing catch with him when he was 7 and he crushed the ball in one hand when he tried diving for it, or the time he sent a dart straight through the house and into the neighbor's house when we were playing inside darts... the darts weren't even sharp. I put myself more and more into acting as to escape my thoughts and feelings of not being a closer father to him. I eventually became to concerned to even hug him... my own flesh and blood... but it was not just for the sake of my well being, but for him and his mother. What kind of life would a child have if he accidently killed his own father in a display of affection he would probably also loose a mother that day to... but this is probably the excuse of a coward of a father."
The conductor put what looked like tar in his mouth and chewed on it.
"Did you still love your son?"
"I acted like I did, but my feelings were eroded due to my escapism and fear so I still don't know if I really do...but I still wanted to be a dad... or at least still felt obligated to be. I still loved my wife, but I was using her like a crutch and not being one for he as I didn't have the answers she wanted besides being there... and that was all I could do... and sometimes I failed even that... It's probably I'm forever bound to work in this station as a kind of purgatory... neither good or evil... but just a coward."
he spat the tar like substance into a bottle he had next to him.
"What were their names?"
"Uh?... O... My wife's name was Leano, who was a grey wolf like me, and my son's name was Legoshi."
Legoshi could not help but turn his head directly at the man he now knew for sure is Miyagi, his father. Legoshi stood up and gave Miyagi his full attention.
"And what would you do if you could meet at least your son again?"
"I honestly don't know... I would probably tell him I'm sorry at least, but I would not know what to do after. Why do you ask?"
it was at this time that the train reached its destination and stopped. Miyagi turned around and saw that the stranger was now standing and facing him. He saw that the halo above the stranger's head was now gone.
Legoshi flipped his hood off his head and revealed his face.
"Because my name is Legoshi." He said in his real voice.
Miyagi had a thousand yard stare as he looked upon a face he had not seen in millions of years. Although he aged by a few years he could recognize the face of his son staring back at him. Memories of his living years with his son flooded his mind for a few moments.
"Is... that really you Legoshi?!..."
"Do you know of any other wolf by that name that looks like you?"
Miyagi goes up to Legoshi and sniffs around his neck for a few seconds.
"It is you... It's... it's been over 5 million years and yet I did not see you once! How can that be?"
"I can explain that and why I don't have a halo over my head."
Miyagi looks up and finally notices that there is indeed no halo over Legoshi's head.
"You're not dead?!"
"Nope, never have and probably never will... at least from age."
Legoshi goes on to explain to Miyagi what had happened to him during and since the war. Legoshi told him about becoming a God of Destruction and examples of his former duties. He told him of the tournament of divinity and how he ascended to angel. He then explained the work he did in searching for his replacement and the human that qualified and took the job and the little events that finally led him to where he is right now.
"So that is basically my life for the past 5 million years."
Legoshi then produced a ball of Hakai in his right hand.
"And finally, this ball of energy is a representation of why I was so strong as a child and adolescence. It turned out that I had a ember of divinity all along and my near death experience ignited it into a full flame."
This was a lot for Miyagi to process. He was amazed and dumbfounded at his son's achievements and actions. There was also relief and a little joy at seeing his boy again. And he could not help feeling a little pride in his son. He closely looked at the orb in Legoshi's hand and was about to touch it when Legoshi blocked his hand with his left.
"I would not touch it if I were you. This is a ball of Hakai. A form of Ki capable of destroying anything, including souls."
Legoshi dissipated the ball and looked back to his father. Legoshi then opened his arms wide.
"Do you trust your son enough now?"
Miyagi stared for a moment in contemplation before opening his arms and hugged his son. Legoshi hugged him back and they held each other for a few minutes and whispered to each other.
"I'm so sorry son... and Thank You for seeing your old man after all this time. You gave me some color in this bleak white place."
"I know... I know. And I hope that we can become a family again. While it was not what many would call... a close relationship, but you still supported me and mom so I will still call you Dad... although you were not the only father figure in my life."
"I know... and I should probably thank Gouhin for taking care of you somehow... Just not sure I have the right or ability to leave for that world."
"You can ask Bill to tell you when Saitama comes in. I'm sure he would be willing to take you there."
"I'll do that maybe next week when I have off. Speaking of which, you have lots of time off now. Want to go grab a bite to eat with me? It's about my lunch time now."
"Sure Dad." He said with a smile.
during their lunch Legoshi asked Miyagi about his life after he died. Miyagi told his son about his judgement to be placed in purgatory for pretty much forever. He talked about the positions he held and advanced to as he worked in the station as a means to pass time and occupy himself. His story was a bit shorter than what Legoshi was expecting besides the occasional small story of "unique" passenger situations he has had to deal with. Legoshi went over the different kinds of foods he could cook as they ate and even offered to help the chef but was denied.
After lunch Legoshi hugged his father again and promised to visit again and discuss with him a schedule for chances to visit. Legoshi told Miyagi that he was going to go visit his mother now and waved him goodbye. Miyagi waved goodbye back as he wiped away a tear from his left eye.
It took Legoshi another 30 minutes to find the wolf woman who looked like her mother. She was looking at insects and holding some in her hand and gently caressing them before putting them back on the floors and trees they were previously on. Legoshi put his hood back up and walked up next to the woman and looked at the bugs with her.
"Rather large for a rosy maple moth. Did you raise this one yourself?"
The woman flinched a little at the sudden appearance of company but quickly composed herself and put on a genuine smile.
"Yes I did, but not all the insects here are from my nurturing. Did you want to look at some with me? I'm just doing my daily rounds now."
"Sure."
Legoshi and the woman went from flower fields to clearings with a few trees in the bright morning. they spent a few hours going over each habitat. Legoshi correctly named each insect species and picked some up and gently rubbed his finger on them without hurting them before placing them back.
"What got you into liking insects if I may ask mam?"
"You can call me Leano. I guess that I got into insects for several reasons. I lived on a broken world a long time ago and not much of its natural beauty was left except some of the insects that held on and I guess I found inspiration in that. Another reason is that I had a son that was so strong that he could break things easily without trying and it became a strain on the family even though I still loved him. I didn't want to lose a sense of empathy for my son and his circumstance so I looked to insects they were also living things that well small and looked fragile and yet held on for inspiration as to how my son was feeling and ways I could still directly interact with him. After years of doing this I guess it just became a hobby and distraction from the world as it burned around me."
"I got into insects for similar reasons. I just find their variety and resilience fascinating and I could watch them for hours on end just living their lives."
Legoshi picked up a goliath beetle from a tree and played with it by touching its horns.
"What is your son's name?"
"His name is Legoshi."
Legoshi removes his hood.
"That's funny... because my name is also Legoshi and my mother's name is Leano."
Leano turned towards the man she spent hours talking with and her mouth was agape for several seconds. She started to lean into his neck and sniffed a few times before reaching her hand out to his left face cheek. Legoshi turned towards her and let the beetle fly away.
"Is it really you Legoshi?!"
"Yes it is mom."
Legoshi pulled his mother in his embrace and rested his head on her left shoulder. Both of them softly began to cry on each other's shoulders. They both were so happy that they could finally hug without the fear of someone getting seriously hurt and that they could start really being mother and son in terms of closure.
"It's kind of funny mom. I'm stronger than ever and yet now I can hug you without hurting you. I guess all I needed was some training in self control."
Legoshi lightly chuckles at this while fighting back some tears.
"It's been so very long Legoshi. I thought I was the only one sent here and would never see you again. Where have you been all this time?... And why don't you have a halo?"
"That's a bit of a long story, but I can give you the highlights of it."
Legoshi showed his mother a ball of Hakai and explained it like he did with his father and shortly then dissipated it. He told her what happened during and after the battle he was drafted to. He spoke of his training as a God of destruction and the things he did on that job. He explained how he ascended to the position of angel and of searching for his replacement. He ended his story with finding out where she was sent to and speaking with his dad first before visiting her.
"So tell me about your afterlife mom."
They sat on a bench on a dirt road as Leano explained her afterlife. Like his father, Leano didn't really have a eventful afterlife, but this one was a bit more peaceful than his father's as she didn't really have any obligations except the ones she imposed on herself. After a half hour of just talking, Legoshi asked Leano what would be good times to visit her and to maybe set up a schedule. Legoshi and Leano decided on a visit from him every couple of months if Legoshi wanted to since he didn't have any obligations. Legoshi gave his mother one last hug before leaving.
Legoshi returned to Bill's office and picked up his things and decided to get changed. Bill pointed out the nearest empty room for him to get changed in. Legoshi came back out in a white t-shirt and red sweat pants (basically the same outfit he has in the anime).
"It would be impossible to tell that you're a god with that outfit on, unless they are also gods that can sense your Ki of course. So what are you going to do now? You have huge ass amounts of free time even by immortal standards... or unless your bosses call you in early."
"Those being The Grand Priest and the Omni King, but as for your question... I... don't know."
Bill could see the confusion and longing in his face and could tell his old friend could use help with suggestions.
"Do you have any hobbies?"
"Yes, I cook and study insects... and I guess exercise and train, but that is more of a habit than hobby."
"Not gonna lie to you, but that sounds depressing. I would have imagined that after 5 million years you would pick up at least a dozen hobbies. At least the cooking will help you get laid finally HAHAHAHAHA!" Bill teased.
"I know you're trying to cheer me up but that isn't helping."
"Yeah I guess... My bad, but my point still stands that you could probably get into some more hobbies with all your free time."
"Maybe, but what would I even begin with?"
"Well your lucky that you can travel anywhere in the universe so just looking around would be a starter at least."
"Yeah, but I have already explored a lot of it in my millennia as a Destroyer."
"Some part of me thinks you just want to be sad or lost since you keep bringing up negatives. Well in that case why not find closure with other parts of your past like you did with your parents?"
"Well the only part of my past left that isn't them and you is our home world which is probably still lifeless."
"Actually that changed about 20,000 years ago. A revitalization project from a space fairing collection of species restored the world to one that is a lot more hospitable to life... although half of it is just a massive city now."
Legoshi felt shocked and a little dumbfounded at this information. He though it would have been a lot longer before his home world would no longer be just a massive graveyard.
"I guess I could start there...Thanks Bill... You can be insufferable at times but I'm glad to have you as a friend." He said with a smile.
"I know I can be and I only half heartedly apologize for that... but I'm glad to call you friend to Legoshi... In your own... "weird" way you are someone people can look up to."
Legoshi waved goodbye to Bill with a smile on his face and flew off towards his home world. Legoshi's thoughts pondered on what to do when he got there as memories of his mortal years came to mind. He was reminded of the thoughts he had when he was with Loona about what he missed in his mortal life that he is still missing. This line of thought led him to the suggestion that maybe he should live life like a mortal would for a while to gain perspective and some life experience he missed out on.
Legoshi arrived to his home world 15 minutes later and true to Bill's description half the planet looked like a massive city while the other half looked like a typical garden world. Legoshi was reminded of Coruscant as he looked at the planet. There were also large space stations orbiting the planet that ranged from town to multi-city sized. Legoshi decided to landed just outside the massive city and just walk in and try to blend in.
The species he saw in this city looked exactly like the ones that used to live on this planet as a vast majority of them were anthro animals with the occasional non-humanoid race. The buildings nearly touched the skies while also descending down into what looked like an abyss of flying cars, walk ways, and metal streets. Legoshi wandered aimlessly through different streets trying to figure out how to start out this "mortal" life. He saw holograms showing news stories and articles about stocks, sports, politics, and crimes. What caught Legoshi's interest was the criminal stories as he saw a report on something called a predation incident which depicted a blood splattering and use of terms like devouring and focuses on nomenclature like herbivore and carnivore and the societal relationships between the two.
"There was never this problem when I was originally here. I guess their society or genetics led them to have problems with eating people... were/are there no unintelligent life options for them?" He thought to himself.
Legoshi shrugs to himself and moves on.
"I should probably get a place to stay, some money since that seems to be a common theme among mortals, and a way to make that money." He thought to himself.
Legoshi asked a open shop keep, who is a lizard man, how to make money and received a look that said "Are You stupid?" and was told to just get a job. Legoshi asked what types of jobs there were and was told to "Figure it out yourself or piss off. I don't do handouts."
Legoshi just walked away and looked around for any hiring or help wanted signs or other forms of job advertisement. Legoshi knew that while the skills he had were at literal god level, but they were very few and would have to do a basic manual labor or cooking job to start. Legoshi decided against any form of military job since that would place him above the normal starting point of people due to his power... that and he didn't have pleasant memories of being in the military.
As Legoshi was searching around streets, stores, and hologram projectors, he witnessed a male brown bear humanoid chasing down a female capibara humanoid. Legoshi could tell this was one of those predatory incidents in the making based on the bear having blood in his mouth and the Capibara having a wound on her leg. As the bear passed him Legoshi used telekinesis to force the bear to fall of the side of the street they were on and into the abyss of streets and cars. He then used telekinesis again to throw the bear into the side of a building with enough force to bust through the metal wall and knock the bear out. Legoshi did this without using any gestures or other movements so that he would be less suspected of what happened.
The capibara woman turned around to see that the bear was no longer chasing her and the crowd that moved out of the way coming back onto the street and in the commotion she did not see her savior turn around a corner and leave the scene.
"Guess the predation problem is pretty bad if it's being done in daylight on the streets." Legoshi thought to himself as he crossed a street.
Legoshi saw a 3 man group of people standing in front of a row of shops that walked towards him when they spotted him. one was a black jaguar man with a bottle in his hand. Another was a Hippo with a large backpack on his back. The last of the group was a gorilla with what looked like two blasters holstered and half concealed behind a large coat.
The jaguar stepped in front of Legoshi and held out the bottle.
"Want a hit?"
"Why would I want to be hit?"
The jaguar looked confused before figuring this guy to either be a jokester or an idiot.
"good one, but I mean to you want to try some of the energy drink? It's specially made for carnivores." He said as he opened the bottle.
Legoshi took the bottle and sniffed it a few times before handing it back to him.
"Sorry but I don't have any money and I think you need to tell your supplier to do a better job at mixing his drinks because it smells terrible. what is even in that?"
"Just some blood and bone from the black market."
"And what is in this black market?"
"Meat for carnivores of course! where the hell have you been? everyone knows of it but it helps keep the peace."
"Maybe but I do believe you just lied to me... This is fresh ingredients are they not?"
"How could you tell?!" The hippo asked.
"I have been a cook for long enough to tell from fresh, spoiled, or preserved ingredients and that means who you work for probably killed people recently and tore them apart for ingredients. While I have nothing against eating meat, I do have problems with pointless murder... can't you guys travel out of the system and get less intelligent beings for ingredients?"
"We are just starting out our gig and it takes a lot of money to buy a ship from this planet so we just go with the flow here, but since you know that part about our business I'm afraid we're gonna have to kill you."
Legoshi could help but laugh a bit at that statement. He placed his right hand behind his back and his left palm facing up with fingers out.
"you can give it a try, but try not to hurt yourself." He said with a genuine smile.
The panther pulls a black energy blade in the shape of a knife and charges at Legoshi.
"I cut that smirk off your face you damn wolf!"
The panther went in for a jab but was catapulted a few feet away from Legoshi stepped to the left and flipped him using the force of the panther's own movement and strike.
"You should try hiding your attacks until your closer or else you will be easy to counter, specifically with close ranged combat."
Legoshi wanted to train them while they fought so that they might get stronger and therefor less reliant on such a shady organization.
Legoshi turned around to face the panther as he got up and charged again. The Hippo decided to charge while Legoshi's back was turned and tried using his weight to his advantage and went in for a belly flop onto Legoshi.
Without turning back around, Legoshi caught the Hippo and flung him down onto his partner mid swing by using the Hippo's own momentum as the force to throw him over and onto the panther.
"You need to communicate better with your teammates about what your doing or else your enemy can take advantage like what I just did."
"Shut up you cocky bastard!" Yells the gorilla.
The gorilla pulls out two blaster pistols and fires at Legoshi. Legoshi effortlessly dodges and lets some of the bolts hit the hippo and panther in the leg and shoulder. The hippo and panther yelled in pain as Legoshi closed the distance, but at a speed that the gorilla could see on purpose, grabbed the pistols and raised his knee to just touch the chin of the gorilla.
"Pistols are good at ranged but you need to change your tactics when your enemy closes the distance... *motions with his head to behind him* you all need to pay attention to where you're shooting if your not alone."
"Why the f#$% are you giving us combat advice when we are trying to kill you!? The gorilla yelled in confusion and frustration.
Legoshi pushes the gorilla back a bit with his foot while letting go of the pistols. The gorilla stumbles back a bit but manages to keep his footing.
"Because I'm new to the world and rather not ruin someone's day or life on my first day here... besides you guys look like you need help and while I can't pay you I can teach you."
"And how is criticizing us while kicking our asses gonna help us?!" The panther weekly added.
"Because I don't really have anything of value on me except combat experience. Sorry but that's all I got. Now I don't have a grudge against you guys even after attempted assault, but if you keep attacking I might be obligated to alert the authorities if I am questioned by bystanders." He says while thumbing over to a gathering crowd across the street looking at them.
The gorilla peers closely at the crowd and notices that some in the crowd have recording devices out.
"Sh$%! we gotta cheese it!" he yelled while getting his comrades up off the ground.
The trio ran off as fast as they could down a ally way close to the street they were on. Legoshi believed they had enough and decided to erase the memory of this incident from the minds of the on lookers while also destroying their devices with Ki.
"I should probably go to the afterlife at some point and thank the Jedi for indirectly teaching me this kind of ability." He thought to himself.
Legoshi continued to walk down the streets of this massive city looking for work. 5 minutes later he heard an explosion in the far distance and saw smoke rising from one of the taller of the buildings.
"Might as well start off with good deeds for a resume." He thought to himself.
Legoshi vanished and reappeared in front of a building with half of it supports destroyed and the building was crumbling apart and moments away from total foundation failure. Legoshi entered the building and caught the 150 stories above him with his left hand and used telekinesis to prevent it from breaking apart. a few dozen people rushed passed him with some thanking him before bolting for the opening in the front of the structure since all the walls on this floor were blown out. Legoshi also waited for the people in the floors above him to evacuate. Some of the people that saw him were still in shock that they were not dead or dying that they casually asked him if he needed anything before regain their senses and leaving.
After about 20 minutes all but one of the people in the building were evacuated. Legoshi sensed one Ki signature on this floor in front of him on a ceiling tile. He used telekinesis to move the ruble, broken office desks and chairs, and ceiling tiles to reveal a grey wolf woman with brown fur wearing dark blue business attire unconscious. Legoshi walked up to the woman while casually holding up the 150 stories and crotched down in front of her.
"Guess I was not fast enough to stop all the damage but she will live at least... hmmm...maybe she could help me figure some things out... like *looks up* who owns this building."
Legoshi placed his right hand over the woman's head and poured his Ki into her using a healing technique. A white blanket of Ki covered the woman for a few moments before gently fading away. The woman slowly opened her eyes moments later and saw Legoshi staring at her.
"You okay? No psychological damage from this experience? I healed you physical wounds so you should be good on that front."
The woman looked like she was regaining her focus and slowly got off the ground. Legoshi followed her rising and got up as well so she wouldn't hit her head on the ceiling.
"What happened? Last thing I remember is a loud bang and the ceiling falling on me."
The woman looked around and quickly got the idea of what happened and finally noticed that the wolf man in front of her was holding up the ceiling like it was a paper weight. The woman could not help but get dreamy eyed as she looked at this man that saved her and her collogues as his t-shirt did little to hide his chiseled figure.
"Ye...YEAH.. I'm fine... What about you? Isn't that heavy for you?!"
"Not really. Speaking of which, do you know who owns this building?"
"Owns it? Well it's apart of the private organization Horns Conglomerate."
"And who owns that?"
"?... It really isn't a owned thing since different parts are run by different people, but if you mean who is considered in charge then that would be it's president Louis."
"And where can I find them?"
"Down that road behind you to the right for about 5 kilometers before taking a left for another 6 and it should be the first building on your right...Why do you ask?
"Because I want to give this to him and see what he wants to do with it." He says while pointing up.
"...The building?" She said with a clear what written in her face.
"Yes. This was probably a huge investment for him and I wanted to see if there is anything in it he wanted... I'm trying to make good first impressions since I'm new to the world and need a job." He said while scratching the back of his head in an embarrassed manner.
The woman blushed a bit at how cute Legoshi looked being embarrassed. It was at this point emergency services made it to the building and were swarming around both Legoshi and the woman.
"I guess I should get going before too many people get in the way." He said as he turned around.
"WAIT! What's your name?!"
"Legoshi. And yours?"
"My name is Juno and thanks you so much for saving me!"
She was about to hug Legoshi from behind but was intercepted by paramedics who rushed her out. Legoshi began to walk away with paramedics telling him to stop.
The Song Chicken Bone From Cowboy Bebop plays.
"Wait sir that's dangerous! Please stop and construction workers will be here to save you!" Paramedics and police shouted at Legoshi.
"I'm fine, but could you please move? I don't want you getting hurt."
all the paramedics and police stared at Legoshi with their mouths agape as he casually walked away from them like what he was doing was not insane and awe inspiring. While such feats are not unprecedented to the inhabitants to this world, it is certainly a very rare sight to behold as only political and gang leaders are thought to casually have this kind of strength. It only took a couple of minutes for a crowd of people to form across the street and record Legoshi. A Kangaroo woman in a business suit with a tag labeled Press on her chest started recording Legoshi with her droid assistant, a flying disk shaped droid, that powered on a blue light at Legoshi. The reporter woman asked him:
"Excuse me sir, but what are your intentions with carrying that large section of building away?"
"I'm returning this to the president of Horns Conglomerate and see if he wants anything that he invested in it back." He answered without turning toward the woman or droid.
In the organization building Legoshi was heading towards.
Louis, a deer man, spat out his expensive coffee after almost chocking on it when he saw the news showing a wolf man carrying their nearest office building and saying that he was bringing it to him. Louis could not help the twitching and "wtf" expression from creeping onto his face as this was both amazing and so very stupid at the same time.
Back with Legoshi.
Legoshi saw holograms of himself popping up on the streets he was on as he was still being recorded by the reporter. Some of the questions that was asked of him were:
"Was there any casualties?"
"Was there any injuries?"
"Are you in pain carrying that right now?"
"What exercise regimens do you use to get this strong?"
Legoshi answered each of these questions with a no, no, no, and regimens that would probably kill most people. since Legoshi was walking it took him around two and a half hours to walk to the head offices where Louis was.
Song ends
Legoshi waited at the front automatic doors with the building a arms length away from the intact building. It did not take long for a confused and irritated deer man in a green business suit to walk out the front doors and confront Legoshi.
"You know your drawing way to much attention to yourself and causing some to panic with a walking building going around a couple of city blocks!? What the hell do you think is worth the effort to bring 150 stories of one of our offices directly to me?!" The deer shouted.
"I thought that your organization put a lot of money into this much of a build and I thought that you would want to salvage what you could from it so it would not be a complete loss... You are Louis right?"
"Yes I am and the most expensive part of that investment is the building itself, but everything in there is replaceable and all information has already been backed up so it might actually cost more to recover everything in there than to just dispose of it." He said while twitching a few times before calming down.
"So you want me to dispose of it?"
"If you can you would save me some time, but do it somewhere else to you don't cause any damage."
Legoshi nodded, leaned back a little and threw the building so hard that it left the orbit of the planet and flew past the surrounding stations. Louis rubbed his eyes and sighed a little.
"Of course you would do that and give half the crowd behind you heart attacks or enough OOOs and AAAs to wake the dead." He thought to himself.
"So... Since I saved your organization some money from this accident can I be recommended or given a job at it?"
you could almost see a question mark appear of Louis head at that.
"You carried 150 stories of a building 11 miles on foot, then flung it into space from surface level in seconds... just so you can ask me and the Horns Conglomerate for a job?!"
"umm...yes? I don't have any more or a place to live so I thought that if I helped and made a good impression on a company they would hire me... even though I have few skills." He said while looking confused and embarrassed.
Louis and the crowd behind just stared at Legoshi for a few seconds trying to process his response.
"Okay then. At least you're honest."
Louis composed himself into a more formal manner as he straightened his back.
"Well you certainly made your first impression. So would you like to be interviewed here and now or later?"
"um... Interview? Like ask me questions right?"
"Yes that is basically what a interview it though it involves seeing if a potential employee is a good fit for a job in a company."
"Then I would like to take the interview now since I don't have anything else to do or anywhere else to go."
"Good."
Louis talks into a device strapped to his left wrist and orders security to vacate the nearby streets of the large crowd of people. about 5 minutes later, 20 security guards walked out of the building and started to break up the crowd.
"Follow me." Louis motioned to Legoshi.
Legoshi was escorted through several offices until they were in a large meeting room with a long table and a dozen comfy office chairs. Louis took one seat and motioned Legoshi to take the seat across from him.
"As you already know My name is Louis and I am the current president of the Horns Conglomerate. We have our hands in a lot of different industries across multiple worlds, ranging from agriculture, entertainment, construction, along with many others. Let's start off with your name."
"Legoshi."
"age?"
Legoshi started to sweat a bit on that because the honest answer would be the most unbelievable so Legoshi just went with the age he looked like and hoped Louis bought it.
"22."
"You did say that you are currently with out a place to stay so I will put down not applicable here. Now what is your previous work experience if any?"
Legoshi also found this question a bit uncomfortable but managed to hide is discomfort.
"First military, though I was drafted on a different planet. My only other jobs are janitor and job recruiter."
"I can see why you were drafted. how long had you worked those jobs?"
"I was in the military for one tour before being able to leave since I did not want that as a life choice. I spent 3 years as a janitor after that and 1 year as a recruiter... I think that job can also be called a job hunter."
"I see. What would you say are your strengths?"
"In what? What I can do or my personality?"
"It can be both, just tell me what you are good at and what your best trait is."
"I would say I'm best at martial arts, cooking, and entomology. I would saw my best traits are my cooperation, learning, and determination."
"Entomology? I can understand martial arts and maybe cooking if you had to live by yourself but that seems a little unusual for someone like you based on my impressions of you, but I won't judge you on that. Now what would you say is your greatest weakness or struggle the most with?"
Legoshi had to think for a while on this.
"I would say my skill set since I have not many skills. I would also say a lack of understanding on certain social norms like when talking with others would be appreciated or how to engage in conversation with a group I have little to no relations with."
"So basically you don't have a broad skill set and your socially awkward and maybe shy. Those are understandable weaknesses and are not deal breakers of course. Based on my impression of you I can say there are a few jobs that are available around here that would fit you. First there is factory line worker and a construction worker since you clearly have strength and stamina on your side. We also have a few chef openings that you could fill in for, but they are all non-meat items if you are okay with that."
"I wouldn't mind the construction worker job since it also allows me to get my daily exercise in."
"Great! You can start tomorrow morning at this address. The chief construction officer can fill you in once you get there. Ill let him know your on the way."
Louis took a picture of Legoshi from a small device that he entered some info on before handing it over to Legoshi.
"This will serve as your ID. Show the chief construction officer that when you meet him."
"Thank you Louis. This saves me a lot of job hunting and stress."
Legoshi gave a polite bow before shaking Louis' hand and leaving. Legoshi spends the night sleeping on the roof of a tall building.
The next morning and next couple of months that followed were Legoshi reporting to a brown bear named Riz. Legoshi mostly worked with moving materials and helping place supports, walls, and flooring. Legoshi has helped in preventing accidents by catching falling parts and machinery. He developed a friendship with a Labrador man named Jack. Legoshi liked Jack's brimming positivity and friendliness.
Legoshi managed to get a small apartment room with basic amenities and public use appliances like washer and dryer. On one of his days off he heard that Jack got really sick and was in the hospital in a non-critical condition. Legoshi heard from coworkers of their plans for Jack like getting him small gifts and get well soon cards. Legoshi asked what counts as a small gift and where he could get them. Legoshi was suggested a flowery shop about 10 minutes away by transport. Legoshi declined a offer to join one of his coworkers to go gift shopping since he wanted to do it himself because he wanted his small gift to be from him with no help so it would feel more from him.
Legoshi entered the suggested shop. The pungent smell of the flowers came in waves from pleasant to overwhelming but managed to keep his composure.
"At least it is a lot less unpleasant than death sticks."
The flowers looked to be organized by alphabet and color. The sections were placed to make it into a easy maze with some vine decorations on the doors and dangling from the ceiling. There were cards on a stand next to the single register.
"Good day sir! how can I help you today?"
Legoshi looked towards the source of the voice and saw a white rabbit in a light green dress behind the counter that has the register.
"Just looking for a gift."
"Do you have something in mind?"
"I don't know yet so I will look around."
"Let me know if you need any thing!"
"She seems nice." Legoshi thought to himself as he browsed the flowers.
While Legoshi is knowledgeable on entomology, he had very little understanding in botany. Concerns about what to get Jack came flooding into his mind like what he would like, are any of these bad for him in terms of health concerns, are there any that would help his condition and other similar questions. While he and Jack were both canines they were millions of years apart in age that could make determining what would be good for Jack difficult since what is pleasant and healthy to him could be unpleasant and poisonous to Jack. After 10 minutes of searching and thinking, Legoshi's ears flopped down as he approached the counter and saw that the rabbit was not their. Legoshi sensed the rabbit's Ki in the back room of the store. Legoshi walked into the back room that appeared to contain supplies like fertilizer, pots, natural insecticides, compost, water pots and sprinklers, spades and other gardening tools. The room was rather spacious for what was basically a simple storage room. Legoshi stood behind the rabbit and quietly waited for her to turn around.
She was on a step ladder when she turned around to get off and nearly fell off when she saw Legoshi in front of her. Legoshi steadied the ladder for her.
"sss Sorry. I should have spoke up a bit but I didn't want to interrupt you."
"No problem.. but customers are not meant to come back here. Was there something you needed or is there an emergency?"
Legoshi got lost in thought again as to how to ask the rabbit for help. Legoshi grabbed his ears as he tried to focus on what to ask as he didn't want to waste this woman's time with multiple attempts to get him what he was looking for.
The rabbit interpreted this look on Legoshi as a sign that he was going to ask something intimate of her.
"O... So that's what you're after." She says as she slowly starts to strip to her underwear.
Legoshi finally figured out what he was going to say just in time to see this nearly naked rabbit closing the short distance between them.
"I've never been with a carnivore before... You can be rough. It's okay I can handle it."
Legoshi's ears shot straight up as his confusion hit new heights. She pulled up his shirt and saw how ripped he was.
"You certainly know how to take care of yourself."
She rubs his chest underneath his shirt.
"And your fur is soft and well kept to."
Legoshi began sweating a lot as he didn't know what she was doing.
"What is she doing? Is this some sort of greeting or tradition? Does she think I need a bath?... no wait, she said that my fur is well kept so that isn't it."
"Let's see what kind of equipment I'm working with."
The rabbit woman reach down his gym pants and touched his privates directly. Legoshi yelped in surprise from how his body began reacting to this act towards his privates.
"No That's not what I'm looking for mam!" He yelled as he pulled her hand out of his pants.
Legoshi pulled out his wallet and gave her all the money he had in it.
"You can keep the change, I'm just going to buy some yellow roses and a get well soon card." He said while having trouble controlling the volume of his voice.
"Wait... that was not what you wanted?"
"I don't know what that was mam but that is certainly not what I was looking for."
Legoshi put the woman's cloths into her hands and walked out of the backrooms and picked the the flowers and card before walking at a irregular pace. Legoshi walked into the next store over and ran into the bathroom and into a stall.
"What the Hell was that? Why is my heart beating so fast? Why am I twitching down there." He thinks as he looks down at himself.
Author's Note: I'm sorry that I didn't do a Saitama chapter this time. I was already starting on this chapter when you reviewed and told me that you would like a Saitama side story, but the next chapter will be that. Hope you enjoyed this chapter and let me know what you think in the reviews.
