Survivors Book I: Final Destination

Warnings: With this chapter it covers Alex's assault from both his own and Weine's point of view as a result of one close call and two more charges. But frm here the movie is concluding the role reversal as it takes a line off of running. In The Outsiders, as Carter does what the narrator and his friend did in the book.

As from here, it's going to take them 6 weeks to find him, as his fear of his being next starts taking over and they put Carter in house arrest. At Clear's cabin once they find him, leading into Alex and Clear's turn. As the next back to back is directly after this chapter as Alex is in recovery from the attack now.

And with Carter in Alex's place of being under suspicion for the near murder of everyone on the plane. As the attacks are always when Carter is in range of them each time, as the attacks start turning dangerous from here now. As the new characters are introduced one by one in the story for the next movie...

Chapter 37: Attempted Arson, Arrests And Hiatus

"Then these idiots better get the memo, let it go." Caine said sternly and Lewton nodded sternly in agreement to his thoughts. "Well that trail was leading out of the kitchen and towards the computer, so this created the fuse. Just to start the fire, right back to where it started from, but the evidence is replicated down the limit here right now."

"So unplug the computer, before a spark goes flying and sets the trail on fire." he called out as he got to work in cleaning up the evidence as he sighed in relief. That he just saved her. "Carter, I'm warning you now, stay away, but we're giving you a chance to let it go, so go home and they let it go, come here, and you been sentenced, now."

"And to a life of exclusion by us and with you, your friends, so fair warning, let this go or you're going to be arrested for attacking me and trying to set the house on fire." he said sternly as he put the cap back on the bottle and started clearing the evidence away. At the same time, the subject to his remark was walking around the blocks thinking.

After coming to a decision after his latest arrest, Carter decided to return to her house, as a car pulled up beside him and they nodded. "I just got picked up, before I could even see the girls." he said and they nodded. "Tonight maybe our one chance, to get them off our cases here." Parker said and Carter nodded in agreement as he got into his car then.

As Alex grabbed the bottle and he put the screw back on the bottle and back into the freezer then, before unplugging the oven and turning off the gas then. As he got the matches and threw them in the garbage then, just he finished that. Putting out the fires in the kitchen, Alex heard a crash and turned to see Carter, as he said it sharply.

"Carter get out, you realize that arson is a federal offense." he snapped as he grabbed his wrist and he lunged at him and he dodged the swing. Before he suddenly got hit in the back and he fell to the floor as he looked up as a glass bottle came down. And hit him in the head, before he got kicked in the stomach and then something stab him then.

And in the stomach. "There is no chance of you getting out of this now, Browning." Carter said and he blacked out at that as he heard a crash then, before feeling something burn his throat going down then. 'Straight alcohol, I got to tell them, Val, guys help.' he thought as he collapsed trying to get to the door then. 'Guys get in here, I been jumped, help, help.' he thought weakly, before he heard a shout.

"Alex, Alex, oh my god, guys get in here, he's been attacked here!" he heard the voice of his sister shout out...

Calling the Paramedics-Nobody's POV:

Leaving the group alone for 15 minutes, they suddenly heard a crash, followed by an explosion. "Oh god, I thought he cleaned up in there?!" Terri said and Lewton nodded as she went to check. "Alex, Alex, oh my god!" she shouted as she checked him over. 'Baby, come on wake up, come on.' she thought as she saw the mess and checked out back.

"Guys get in here, he's been attacked here!" she shouted and Caine, Hanson and Murnau came running in and saw him on the floor. "This was no normal attack, unless..., guys, bait and switch, oh my god, Carter, he set a trap for Carter and his gang. Larry give me a hand here." Caine said and Murnau nodded as they got him on the couch then quickly.

"George, Billy, Todd put out those fires in the kitchen." he said and they nodded as they undid his shirt and checked him over carefully. "Stab wound, and looks like they kicked him in the side several times." he said and George walked back in. "The bottle that he threw into the garbage is in pieces all over the floor, it's also covered in blood, Coach."

"Looks like Alex caught Carter's gang in the act, and to prevent him from calling out to you guys, they knocked him half conscious." he said and the quartet nodded in anger. "Well there's Dave's remark: what idiot attacks a student when you got four teachers in the house after said idiot gives a threat?" Hanson asked with a stern growl at that news.

"Wait a damn minute, there was a second bottle in here, Coach, it's empty, and there's nothing on the floor." Todd called out and his eyes narrowed as he thought it over, thinking fast then, he grabbed a device to check and his eyes narrowed in fury. "You are so dead when this gets back to Jake and Lyn young man, and I mean that right now." he said with a stern growl and they nodded slowly at the remark then.

And Murnau said it with a growl at this. "You don't think?" he started to say and he nodded as they waited for them to show up. "I do, but to know that for sure, I think they poured the entire bottle down his throat at the moment. But this is straight alcohol and more then one unit can kill someone if they take in more then three shots of this shit." he said and they nodded in shock then to the news at that remark.

"If this was to make it look like he was drunk and tried to light the bottle on fire, we're not buying it, but we got to get his stomach pumped. Because this level could kill someone right now." Caine said with a low growl and they nodded in disgusted shock to that news then. "And this was a trap for those fools, we knew this, and despite the single chance of letting it go, they do this, that's attempted murder/suicide attempt part 2."

"And to answer your other question, it's one that never took the possibility that this could be a bait and switch and said target. Said is the one that was the one who suggested it to the agents running this investigation right now. Call the duo and the cops get them here right now, this went past frame jobs here. And right to attempted murder right now." he said and Lewton grabbed the phone then quickly.

"This is Valerie Lewton, I need the fire department and the paramedics straight to my house immediately, my student was attacked. And someone tried to set my house on fire..., Alex Browning, no, he's unconscious..., stab wound to the stomach now. Blow to the head with a glass bottle, yeah, and several contusions directly to the side now."

"Yeah, whoever did it tried to make it look like the bottle that exploded stunned him, yeah alright, see you soon." she said and hung it up. "The dispatcher said they'll be here in 10 minutes, just apply pressure right now." she said and they nodded as she grabbed the first aid kit and they carefully pressed the gauze to hid side then waiting then.

Before both groups arrived, as the doctor carefully checked and nodded in anger. "The evidence matches the accident and the car, so that's it right now, Alex gave them a chance to let this go. And they still come here, well there is no going back, they're being arrested for attempted murder here right now." Caine said with a stern growl at this.

And the chief and his doctor both nodded sternly at that remark. "Yeah these kids lost their minds finally, trying to turn it around as Alex was in the kitchen. And for 15 minutes at the moment in cleaning up and trying to making it sound. Now, like Alex was preparing to destroy the tank, but Alex is a junior agent, he would never cross the line."

"So not him, he never set the trail on fire let alone the stove, cleaning up the mess and I don't drink this crap either." Lewton said sharply as she pointed out the broken botle and the saw the black and white wording and nodded sternly. "Jack Daniels, yeah once again same bottle used, they got into a fight with him and beat the crap out of him here."

"But bait and switch, there is no going back right now, they did this to themselves so they did the crime and they can do the time starting now." The chief said with a stern growl at this, just as Weine and Shreck arrived, as Weine quickly moved to them. Pushing Murnau out of the way as Lewton explained it to them quickly at his response then.

"After hearing a struggle in the kitchen, I went to check and found him looking like Macchio did in the description in the book. And called the paramedics and the fire department." Lewton told them and they nodded angrily as Weine looked him over then, as he felt his anger growing by the minute as he said with a firm paternal growl at this.

"Some little bastard beat the shit out of him, did these damn brats on Carter's side of the team not realize we pulled a bait and switch. And Alex was in on it right now, he thinks like I do, but does the little bastard not realize what I am to Alex now, huh?" he said as he kept his voice gentle as he tried to wake him up as he said it softly to him then.

"Combining his exhaustion with this, he's going to be in bed for close to two weeks right now recovering." the doctor said as he was working as he stabilized him then. "Going by the looks of this, he's been working over time, but with whoever's turn it is now. He's on stand down for a month from this." Shreck said firmly as he tried to control his anger.

"And I don't care why they did it this time, it doesn't matter whatsoever now, because this catch in set ups crossed the damn line right now. First his shoulder and drugging him and now this, do these brats expect us to take this right now. Damn it, we gave them a chance to let it go and they come here and beat the shit out of him right now."

"Damn brats, we gave you a chance to let it go and you do this, well that's it, you're being committed for three months. And spending 5 years in juvenile hall, before we send all of you little brats straight to military school for this right now." Weine said with a firm growl as he tried to calm down, feeling the fear that they nearly killed his student grow.

Explanations And Pattern Details-Alex's POV:

Hearing the conversation was enough to bring him out of it. 'What, god what they hell did they do this time, alright not the kitchen, I'm either on the sofa. Or the paramedics have me on a stretcher to take me to the hospital.' he thought, as he heard his mentor's voice. "Son, son, you hear me?" he heard as a hand ran itself through his hair and that did it.

As he opened his eyes. "How bad is it?" he said weakly and the doctor said it with a growl. "Stab wound that missed the vital organs, the bottle that hit you in the head caused a laceration the size of a silver dollar on your forehead near your temple. And several severe contusions to the stomach." he said and Alex nodded weakly to him.

"Son, who did this exactly?" Shreck asked gently and he quickly said it. "Carter, he came back." he told them and they nodded sternly to that. "What happened exactly after we came to get him then now?" he asked and Alex explained that as the medics got him prepped for getting into ambulance then as they starting getting him stabilized.

"I managed to prevent them from shooting the cop, but attempted gang shooting, as well as attempted gang rape, he saw Terri's jacket in my car and with her. That the girls were also here and lost it finally, that's twice in 10 days they skipped out in seeing them. Just to hang out with Todd, Billy and me right now, but I was turning off the gas in there."

"But I got her behind the couch just as the monitor exploded and we put the fires out, before it got into the kitchen. It was after I came in there to put out the trail that would have destroyed the stove and throw out the stuff. Now that would have caused another impact explosion now, when I heard something break the kitchen window, turned."

"And saw that Carter and his gang showed up at the moment right now, I tossed her version of the stuff that would cause a repeater and saw few backpacks on them. As I warned Carter to get out or the house we got into a fight and I got hit from behind. But they were trying to light the gas tank on fire in a trail from the stove to the tank."

"But they did this, while I was in the kitchen, I never got hit by the blast, I was jumped by these guys, same as before. I never did anything, they just attacked me and without provocation, one of them had a switchblade. I only saw Carter, but not the others with him, but it was definitely the entire sextet, guys, I caught them red headed here."

"In trying to burn the kitchen down, they were trying a third time to frame me here." he told them and they nodded angrily as he passed them another canteen and he saw the name M. Reynolds. "Michael Reynolds, Carter Horton, you see anyone else right now with the duo?" the chief asked softly and he nodded as he explained it to him gently at that.

"Yeah the quartet were with them, but they lost their damn minds finally here, but half trying to frame me for the last two attempts and 2) It was they were all pissed. Reason being that their girlfriends bailed on them to hang around with the guys and me now." he said and they nodded sternly as they and Caine, as well as the doctor exchanged looks.

"Looks like they never realized this was another bait and switch, we gave him a chance to let it go, but he goes home and the suspicion ends there. He returns here and does what they just did to you and it's game over as we got enough evidence now. To put them behind bars for 5 years now." Weine said with a low growl at his theory being proven.

"Like you would say, or be thinking here, they, or I, was giving you the run around all week, but now you finally have them cornered, you have enough evidence to put them behind bars." Alex said and he nodded gently to him. "Yeah and we know you're innocent, but that kid has been pushing me and pushing me, and now pushed me too far, it's over." he said gently to him then.

'My little boy, alright you little bastard you finally ticked me off right now, you want a war and you're going to get one, you better start running, I will never stop. Till I find you and put you in that jail cell myself young man, start running.' he thought sternly as he looked at him. "How stupid can you be, not to realize the men having you under suspicion set a trap right now."

"We set the trap and they fell for it, but if they expected you not to know this could be the possibility, that we both knew they were never going to let it go. Then they definitely lost their damn minds, but assault and battery, bordering on attempted murder. Attempted arson, they're toast here." Alex said to him and he nodded gently to him then.

"Jake said he and Lyn are going to be gone until October right now, which means, now we got four months till they get back. But the little brats don't realize that the boy they just attacked is not only my student, but my son now. Alex is my first priority until we finish this, but he just pushed me one too far." he said with a dangerous paternal growl.

"We gave him a chance to let it go and he comes here and then beats the shit out of you, there is no going back, assault and battery. And with it near attempted murder, arson, there is no taking it back, he's a murderer now, as are they. There is only going to be one sentence for this and one only." Weine said sharply and the duo nodded in agreement.

"Wes, you go with him, I'll check this out, but he's under your guardianship, but the sextet, they just crossed the line now finally, it's over now." Shreck told him and he nodded sternly, as he saw a look of paternal fury then. 'Aw crap now you pissed them off, Weine's gone father bear, you just set him on you now guys, so get ready now here.'

'He's furious at you guys right now, so get ready the movie just took a dangerous turn now at the moment here right now.' he thought as he looked at Weine as he said it to the chief. "Arrest his friends and we give it 24 hours." he said and the chief nodded to him, before he heard one of the detectives shout out to them then as they came in then.

"Hey guys, I just found a wallet here and these guys set the kitchen on fire and Alex caught them red handed." the detective shouted and they nodded. "Who is it exactly right now?" Shreck asked and he crossed his arms. "It's Randolph, and Parker." he told him and the trio nodded as they exchanged looks then sternly as the chief said it then.

"That makes 4, but Reynolds, Carter, Randolph and Parker, we go after the quintet and give Carter a headstart right now. But he better get enough food to last him, because once the entire state is locked down, he won't get a second chance to get any food. And not unless he disguises himself now." Shreck said and he nodded sternly to that remark.

"The path matches up to the car and the plane, they did it again, Alex caught them red handed and they beat the shit out of him, before a near murder this time. This was payback for getting them arrested, two tries to frame him blown here. But third times the charm and Alex has named 4 of the 6." Hawkins said and they nodded sternly to him.

"Carter is the primary target here now, we arrest the quintet and they get tried first for this as we have all the evidence needed. As for Carter, we give him 24 hours in a headstart, if he's not thinking straight he doesn't realize. Now, his fear is going to expose him to us, as he has enough to last." Weine told him and the chief nodded sternly then.

"Check that, we give him 48 hours, as he knows that we think we don't know he did this yet." he said, before Alex grabbed his arm. "He's next anyway, Val's off the hook, but it just jumped her and hit him now, keep that secret until we set the trap. As he exposes himself out of his fear of both this and getting caught." he told them and they nodded.

"He's next, so until you deal with him again, it won't jump targets to who was next?!" Caine said sternly and he nodded. "The bastard knows until he gets near me he can't take another life, but Carter out of fear and praying I never identify him for you. You never sat down and the others are in the clear, we were the first to get of the plane."

"But the others are safe, we're the only targets right now starting now." he told him, just as he finished saying it they heard a report come over the radio. "Mount Abraham P.D., we had a stab wound of a student on teacher, said teacher Jacob Braddock. Repeat student on teacher murder, stab wound." they heard and they nodded then.

"There's my case and I'm moving here now, I take it Horton lost his mind finally, son?" they heard and the trio turned to find Eugene Dix and they nodded. "Yeah and they beat the crap out of him, but he was staying with me for the rest of the summer." Weine told him and he nodded with a stern look at the news as Alex answered him gently.

"Did she sell the house to you?" Alex asked and he nodded. "Yeah and the few scorch marks in the living room I can handle, but them destroying my house to frame you. That no and they're in serious trouble at the moment, but her or me. Then this 'shoot the cop metaphor', has their asses in hot water right now." he told him sternly and he nodded.

"I'm just glad I found you this soon, but Val just got jumped, Carter's next and the timer is ticking in his case. As we let his fear of my knowing he could be next be his self destruct switch, Sir." he told him and Eugene nodded in agreement to that. "Yeah I agree with that right now, but whoever replaces the cop is the next question at the moment."

"If the deputy involved in my case gets involved in whoever comes next after Carter, that better not be the next injury or they're in big trouble right now. If they just barely missed killing you right now and this is illegal to attack a federal agent. And if said is real or in training right now." Eugene said sternly as he laid a hand on his arm then gently at that.

"Guys could you give us some privacy." the chief said and the sextet nodded and left as the trio sat down. "The sequence was matched by our positioning on the plane, like I said but my theory was pretty conclusive, save the target and it moves to the next. But four down and we're on the home stretch right now, we only got four left and it's over."

"He's next." Alex told them and they nodded as he checked the notes and gave a nod. "How long do we have exactly, between her and his situation exactly?" he asked and he sighed. "Stays clear a few weeks, but gets in range of us and when I still recovering, less then 3 weeks right now, I'm last of the group." He told him and they nodded gently.

"One of the bottles was empty and still in one piece." he said and they nodded. "So where is this shit?" the paramedic asked and Weine straightened. "Oh my god, you don't drink or take drugs, how much?" he asked and Caine said it with a stern growl. "It's the entire bottle, but we need to double check, get Hawthorne." he said and Weine nodded with a furious look at that news as Alex said it to him. "Not again, just do it and get it over with." he said and he nodded gently.

'Going to be okay buddy, right here, I'm right here, not leaving you baby.' he thought, running his hand through his hair gently. "I just wrote up the path of the explosion, before we came to help Val pack tonight, here's the list, but first him, then Billy, Clear and me. His fear at this is going to be the trigger as he goes on a suicidal drive around town as he has you on his head." he said and Weine checked it as they saw an X marking each of them and put it in his pocket.

"We got enough evidence now, to have him held and incarcerated for 20 years to life." Weine said sternly and Shreck nodded. "Just imagine you never realized you got it reverse, till you realized the explosion matches the crash and the realize I don't screw with that crap. To you guys, he's a dead man walking after you get the news he took off." Alex said and they nodded. "Yes, that and then we realize you're missing as well as injured, that we got a missing persons."

"Getting started, leaving that brat to the state police as we try to find you, but no need, because after this one and you on light duty. But then you're my student, you're my responsibility with your parents out of town, but you did warn him. But we're not leaving you and Clear alone for long, after this one is followed by another back to back in one night. But that little shit is testing my patience, but I finally lost all patience with this kid and this case, at the current moment."

"But he's going down and his gang with him right now." Weine said gently to him then and his partner nodded sternly at that remark in agreement then to this. "On all of them, Wes, but I'm dealing with his friends, you take Alex to the hospital. But how his parents take this is anyone's guess, but enough of the games now. They're being arrested for attempted murder and arson, but that's enough of this shit now." Shreck said to him and he nodded sternly to his opinion.

"With him trying to break cover, he does, you better have Claire, Eric and Jim staying with us, while you go deal with him." Alex said and he nodded. "The brat is just making his situation worse, but if he's trying to get shot to keep us busy. Then it's because he knows we would never, in truth, shoot an unarmed teenager right now. But the little brat doesn't realize we know how long it takes to get from Clear's cabin back to her house, to try that again, but no go."

"The shit clearly doesn't realize we know our way around the woods surrounding her cabin, or that I been taking you up there repeatedly to get the house prepped. As we did repeated stealth exercises, and doesn't take me more then fifteen minutes to find you. But what 60 days results in doesn't it right now, that you, young man, try to run, you're never escaping us this time. As we know the area so well, you're only going to hurt yourself here by trying it at night here."

"But you're only pushing us to sedate you, before I get back to my son's house." he said and Alex hid a smile at his title for him then. "Depending on how long Hawthorne gives us in his case at the moment is the time period, so between now and then. We take things extra slow right now, with him recovering from this injury as I'm not having a second back to back. And it putting him back in the hospital this soon after he recovers from this injury at the moment."

"The kid doesn't have the list of the path to explosion only we know and with us is Hawthorne now, but we have to give it two days for Alex to recover now. As he's my first priority now, Max, you guys take charge here, Alex needs time here. We give it a month, but every measure necessary to take to slow this down and we go to stage 2 of this."

"The story comes out in two days, once he's passed critical, but these brats crossed a line that I intend to make sure they pay for now. We give him a head start to get plenty of food, because once the search for him starts now. As every border is closed, every fast food restaurant and store is being watched and every phone line is tapped now."

"He's not getting out of this country or this state, aiding and abetting is a felony everyone knows that right now. But we're leaving the marshals out of this, in keeping to upper portions of New York. But he's got a choice, between solitaire or house arrest at Clear's cabin right now." he said and they ended the conversation at that remark then.

As they loaded him into the ambulance and Weine got in with him as he left his hand on his shoulder, as after three attacks he felt his exhaustion take over. Before one of them wrapped an arm across him. 'My being last and injured, they're heading it off, what if one of these guys tries to escape to finish me off, got nothing left, not yet, normal rest.'

'But..' he thought, trying to stay awake as he saw the gentle look in the paramedics eyes then. 'That's it, I know, but you need a break, just rest, shh, easy son, easy.' the second medic thought as the first injected it into the IV line. 'Shh, it's okay, it's okay.' he saw in his eyes to that as he couldn't hold his eyes open then as he dozed off finally.

'Shh, just rest, I'm right here.' he heard Weine think to him, running his hand through his hair. 'Dad used to do that if I was sick or injured to keep me calm, still a cub, need my papa bear.' he thought softly as the gentle strokes lulled him to sleep. As he heard a gentle conversation, he knew whatever exploded hit his shoulder a second time...

The Fire At Lewton's House-Weine's POV:

Arriving in the living room, Weine took one look and shoved Murnau out of the way as he said it softly as he crouched next to him. "After hearing a struggle in the kitchen, I went to check and found him looking like Macchio did in the description in the book. And called the paramedics and the fire department." Lewton told them and they nodded angrily.

"How bad is it?" he said weakly to them then and the doctor said it with a furious growl then to this.

"What happened exactly after we came to get him then?" he asked and Alex explained that as the medics got him prepped for getting into the ambulance as they starting getting him stabilized then.

You catch them in the act and before you can call out to the duo, they hit you with something and attack you?" Shreck said to clarify and he nodded to him and they nodded as that did it for the trio then finally.

"Wes, you go with him, I'll check this out, but he's under your guardianship, but the sextet, they just crossed the line now finally, it's over now." Shreck told him and he nodded sternly, feeling his paternal anger growing. "Depending on how long Hawthorne gives us in his case at the moment is the time period, so between now and then. We take things extra slow right now, with him recovering from this injury as I'm not having a second back to back. And it putting him back in the hospital this soon after he recovers from this injury at the moment."

"The kid doesn't have the list of the path to the explosion only we know and with us is Hawthorne now, but we have to give it two days for Alex to recover now. As he's my first priority now, Max, you guys take charge here, Alex needs time here. We give it a month, but every measure necessary to take to slow this down and we go to stage 2 of this."

As they loaded him into the ambulance and Weine got in with him as he left his hand on his shoulder, as they putting the stretcher into a reclining position then. Looking him over he saw an exhausted look to his student and knew time was up then. 'Four attacks and he's exhausted right now, alright, with Carter out of the way for a while right now.'

'He can sleep this off for a bit, but his body needs a chance to heal, so one option, as his body heals from this. MIC for however long it takes to recover, before we bring him out of it and I'm putting a guard on his hospital room.' he thought softly as he shot a look at the doctor and he nodded as he got what he was trying to say to him then firmly.

'Medical induced coma, just to give his body a chance to heal.' he thought as he looked at the paramedic who nodded as he got a dose of valium set up. As the second medic wrapped one arm across him, in case he tried to fight at that. As they saw he was too exhausted to even resist and they hid a nod as the trio exchanged looks then, softly.

In knowing the young man was too worn out. 'If this was the movie, we would be having a pretty good fight here until we had the mask on right now. But he's got nothing left after what happened today, not his turn, but still a little spooked by it now. And at having these guys assault him, again, for no damn reason.' the doctor thought gently at that.

'That's it, I know, but you need a break, just rest, shh, easy son, easy.' the second medic thought as the first injected it into the IV line. 'Shh, it's okay, it's okay.' The second paramedic said to him with his eyes at that, watching him trying to stay awake. And as he couldn't hold his eyes open then, as he dozed off finally as Weine hid a nod gently.

'Shh, just rest, I'm right here.' Weine thought softly, running his hand through his hair as he watched him fall asleep as his head turned to the side. The slightly elevated beeping slowly coming back down and he nodded. 'These idiots just scared the hell out of him, we got to block out the dreams so he can sleep this off.' he thought as he stroked his hair.

As he realized that helped in calming him and kept it up and the paramedic nodded gently. "Yeah that's what I was afraid of right now, these kids just scared him enough that he's afraid to sleep now." the doctor said to that response. "With what he told us, that gives us time and who knows how long between attacks we have here, right now."

"With what he told us regarding that situation in movie metaphors, but that look in his eyes after he just attacked him. He scared of one these guys escaping the hospital just to finish this off now." Weine said and the doctor nodded. "After the close call in Curtis's case in the second Halloween movie she was too spooked as well right now."

"But knowing the path to the explosion is too much right now, Val never made the connection until now that the problem was always Carter and not Alex. But he's feeling that himself, I just hope that dose doesn't wear off too soon right now. Or we're likely going to have a real panic attack in a few hours at the moment later on now."

"Not that I blame him, he never did a thing to these guys, for them to attack him like this, but these brats now. We all reached our limits, it's ending right now as we take over from here and give him a much needed break starting now. But these kids crossed a line and I can definitely see that alcohol is what did it." Warner said and the doctor nodded.

"They all lost their minds, we're having them committed for this, but first them and then we go after Carter, but 6 to 7 weeks means plenty of time to get his house arrest set. As we check that cabin and remove any and all dangers that Alex would have overlooked. But the range is up to 2 miles around the cabin and only that now, leave that now."

"And he's being arrested and joining his gang in juvenile hall." the doctor said and Weine nodded sternly in agreement to that remark. "Yeah with what Alex described to us regarding this, it leaves a few options guaranteed here. But I don't want 'him' anywhere near my students, once on the home stretch." he said, before the second EMT said it.

"Not just his stomach, they stabbed him again in the shoulder." the second paramedic said sternly. "So concussion, stab wound to the stomach, another to the shoulder and several contusions to the side, if they hit his appendix and I'm really going to be pissed." Weine said as they got to the hospital as his wife arrived there ten minutes later then.

As they waited as he looked at a picture of them and Clear together and he sighed. 'And I thought just being a mentor was hard, if this is what it's like being a parent. Having a teenager is easier then dealing with having my cub growing up from a toddler. And to being a teenager to save me a heart attack.' he thought as the Doctor came out then.

"It missed the vein right now, but he's going to be fine, Wes, two weeks to 18 days in the hospital, and three more weeks taking it easy once I release him." Dr. James Hawthorne said and Weine nodded in relief then. "Got it, his parents left me in charge for a few months right now until they get back." he told him as he passed him the insurance card.

Just as he was answering the other doctor came out with a furious look. "Just got worse, we found lethal dose of straight alcohol in his system." he said and Weine nodded in shocked fury. "My student doesn't drink or take drugs." he said and they nodded sternly. "Get him prepped to have his stomach pumped, I want the little bastards arrested and brought here, now!" the head of the department said sternly and he nodded in agreement.

"Hawthorne?" he asked and the doctor nodded sternly. "I am, and I'm their doctor, but the quintet crossed me finally, this is so passed the line, I had it right now, they're being convicted for medical rehab, indefinitely right now." he said and he nodded to the remark. "So twice trying to frame him for taking drugs or drinking and this time it crossed the line, I'll handle this, Jim." he said and the doctor nodded sternly as they ended it at that.

As they had him set up in the emergency room, as he slept then, Weine and his wife relaxed as they waited for the confirmation...

The Arrest Of The Quintet-Shreck's POV:

"Max, you read me?" he heard and grabbed his radio. "Yeah go ahead, Wes." he said and Weine explained it to him. "These guys missed the vital organs, he's going to be in the hospital for 18 days, and on light duty for another month. Went with the original idea, Alex is alive, but we got him in an MIC for a couple weeks."

"To give his body a chance to heal, but we're guarding his room starting now while we're searching for Carter at the moment. But tell them the truth when you arrest these guys, that this was a bait and switch to us and Dave." he told him and Shreck nodded to the news as he answered him then quickly at that remark.

"Got it, if Carter hasn't realized we busted them now, he's not going to give his parents a truthful reason and say he's headed for the Cheneys cabin or his uncle's next. And be taking along a few weeks worth of food and clothes along right now." he told him and heard a sigh then. "Yeah, just round them up." he said and Shreck nodded to that.

"Scramble all phone lines, so they can't alert each other to the fact Alex turned them in this fast right now for what they just did here now." he said and they nodded as they drove to the first house as he knocked on the door and a man appeared. "Mr. Randolph, is your son home?" he asked and he nodded, before the boy in question walked in then.

"What..., what are you doing here?!" he said in shock and Shreck crossed his arms. "Val Lewton contacted me on the fact that Alex Browning was just attacked in an attempt. And to frame him for attempted arson of her kitchen and house, after he woke up, he identified you and 5 more members of your gang." he said and the boy backed up then.

"You broke curfew?!" his mother said in shock and Perkins nodded. "Not only did they break curfew, they just committed another felony." he said and Randolph said it with his arms crossed. "What else as I saw my bar had been ransacked, even though their parents, his mother and I all said the same thing?" he asked and Shreck said it sternly.

"It's the crash evidence all over again, Alex prevented the fire from getting out of the kitchen, but attempted arson and close call murder, and this time by a stab wound. Glass blow directly to the head and another stab wound directly to the shoulder." he said and the Randolphs both looked at their son in disgusted shock at the news as he said it.

"What are we looking at if they had the exchange in the book?" the boy's mother asked and crossed her arms. "Alex turned it into a bait and switch, follow through with that threat this afternoon and their fate is sealed now. But Alex caught them in the act of trying to burn the house down and they beat the crap out of him at the moment."

"But in Dave's words, a person that attacks when there are 4 teachers in the house, one is former spec ops. And the target is a junior agent in training and secondly said is the student of the team in charge of this investigation. And one of them is the target's legal guardian, I would say your boys a have serious screw loose right now mam, as such."

"We: your precinct, the Air Force medical department and we, the FBI, gave you a single chance to let this go, but you didn't and now you guys sealed your fates." Shreck said sternly as he looked at him then. "The psychiatric evaluation is done, you guys crossed a line and you're paying for it now." he said and he saw the boy pale at that as he said it.

"He could be lying to you!" the boy said quickly and Hawkins said it with a stern smile as he answered him. "How can he lie, when you and your friends keep leaving the evidence lying at the scene of the crime, Peter. You're under arrest for attempted murder and arson, young man." he said as they grabbed him and the boy's father crossed his arms.

"Dad?!" he said quickly and Randolph said it firmly. "I don't want to hear it right now, young man, you did this to yourself, so you did the crime. And you can do the time, because after this you're going to military school, get him out of here, guys. Because his mother and I need to deal with this on our own terms." he said and they nodded sternly.

As they got him in the car, as one by one, they arrested the quintet. "I guess you guys never considered in your drunken stupor that what we, as the FBI, did. That was really a bait and switch right now?" Johnson asked and they paled at that remark. "You and Browning set us up?!" Randolph said in shock and he nodded sternly as said it then.

"It was Alex's idea, we gave you a chance to let it go, you think we didn't know, but your friend is now a murderer, you are the accomplices. As such, so first you and then we go after him, but Alex is going to be in the hospital for 18 days. And in light duty for another month, so how long do you think it will take?" the chief said sternly and he swallowed.

"That's right, we gave you a chance to let this go, and instead you try to set him up by making it look like he was attacked in his attempt to destroy the house. Well cross and double cross and we double crossed you at the moment, Alex was in on this. But our star pupil, you expected to get away with this, guess again, but you just pissed us off now."

"You guys are being confined to the psychiatric department of your hospital, until this comes to an end." Shreck said and they swallowed hard at that. "But our parents!" Reynolds started to say and the chief said it sternly. "Your parents had it with this and your treatment of our students right now, you self destructed and here's the result."

"So you did the crime and you can do the time." he said and they swallowed. "Wh..., where's your partner, exactly?!" Parker asked, shaking, and Shreck crossed his arms. "With Alex, he's going to be in the hospital for 18 days and on light duty for another 3 weeks. With Carter being your ring leader, we're making sure you can't reach him or vice versa now."

"But Alex told us that your leader is next, so we're just going to let his fear of that and being arrested for this be his self destruct switch now. But this is the end of the road for you gentlemen, your precinct and we had it with you guys right now. So better get yourself a good lawyer, you're going to need them." Johnson said to them sternly at this.

"Does the word probable cause mean anything to you, you fell for our bait and switch, but let me tell you, that near attack at the cafe. And in front of 90 witnesses and most of us were agents, cops and airmen, you gave us a good motive for attempted murder. And crazed jealousy is that motive." Shreck said sternly and they paled at that remark.

"These constant fights between your gang and his, that crossed a line so far down that arson, attempted manslaughter finished off the psychological reports. So the ones getting tried and convicted are going to be the five of you now. Terri could have made the things a lot simpler for the fight not to happen in the first place, but the one in the hospital."

"The one in the hospital is Alex, but you asked for this and now you're going to get it, but we found the culprit of the 5 of you that destroyed the plane. And that culprit was you, young man, Alex's vision saved everyone on the plane and you, Parker destroyed it." he said sternly and the boy paled at that remark as he realized he destroyed his own life.

"Yeah that's right, you destroyed your lives by yourselves, we gave you a chance to let this go and you do this. There is no taking it back and you're all being committed to a house arrest arrangement that we and the cops had at the moment. And it's being executed after we find your ring leader, so a choice between this and solitary confinement." Shreck told them and they swallowed hard at that.

"Just to get you guys out of the way for a while you're staying here till further notice now, and we're giving your leader a two day head start." the chief told them and they swallowed hard at the news as the orderlies grabbed the quintet and lead them to the psychiatric department. "Well that's five, we just got to find Carter right now." Shreck said as he nodded as Shreck left the room and headed for the ICU then.

Going into the room he saw Weine sitting next to him as he saw anger showing clearly in his body language then firmly. "How's he doing?" he asked and Weine crossed his arms. "We got the added tests back, they tried to do what the brat on the movie did with the narrator, but when I told them he doesn't drink or take drugs that did it, they know this was a set up right now." he said and Shreck nodded to the news sternly at that.

"What they do exactly?" he asked and he said it with a growl. "Dumped the entire bottle down his throat." he said and he nodded in shock. "They dumped 7.9 units down his throat, that could kill him?!" he snapped and Weine nodded sternly. "I know and we're getting his stomach pumped, but this was why he was trying to stay awake, he falls asleep it could put him in the E.R. on top of what they did." he said and Shreck nodded sternly.

"Well they crossed us finally, he's going to be in recovery for close to a month, before it starts twice, but this is too much, try to kill him because of this. If they think we're taking our attention off them they better think again, but I had it with this shit right now." he said to him and Block nodded in sternly. "Me too and I lost my patience with this entire case, Alex never did a thing for them to attack him like this." he said and they nodded sternly in agreement to that remark.

"That makes two of us this kid crossed a line there is no going back right now and no taking it back now, his own fears are about to cross the line here. But we're getting that cabin prepped and rigged to prevent any type of injury when we find him, but it's a choice between exile or prison starting now. I don't care, but until this line is done, we can't relax." Shreck said and Weine nodded in stern agreement to that as he answered him then firmly at that remark.

"These games are over, and now the real hunt begins we got the quintet, all we got to do is find him, now, but it's Carter's turn, so we let his fear take hold. And then let him expose himself right to us starting now, but 2 days head-start right now, because we're locking the state down, all lines are tapped. All ways out of the state are locked out, and we're watching the airports starting now." Weine said to him and he nodded as they looked at their star pupil gently.

"Yeah there is no going anywhere, but how the hell is he supposed to get passed us here is the next question, this brat has been pushing us and pushing us. But now he's pushed us too far and he's going to pay the price here now." Block said sternly at that, as he grabbed a notepad and then wrote up the improvements on Clear's cabin they were planning on making. "We're giving him 4 days head-start, but there is no escape." Weine told him and he nodded.

The next morning, they went to check the cabin and then saw what needed to be taken care,. "Yes any loose nails or anything sharp enough to cause damage is being removed." she said as she looked over her house then carefully, as she moved to the closet and then nodded. "Fishing equipment's rusted." she said and he nodded. "So there's 1: tetanus, child-proofing the house here, is what I consider this right now." he said and he nodded firmly at that remark then.
