Saiyan Anti-Hero
~September 7th~
"Hand me the crescent wrench." Superboy said, working on his bike.
"What size?" Kali asked, munching on a breakfast sandwich.
"2-3/4"." He said, before Kali handed him the tool. "You've been eating a lot more then usual lately. I don't even think Goku's eaten as much as you have in a single meal."
"I know. I can't figure out why though." Kali said.
"When our memories were wiped by Simon, you didn't do anything promiscuous, did you?" Superboy asked.
"If you're asking if I screwed anyone bareback while missing half my memories, get your head out of the gutters." Kali stated, flicking him in the forehead. "I'm not pregnant, and I'm still a virgin."
"Alright, alright. Just wanting to know if I were gonna be an uncle soon or not." Superboy said, before a giant sphere of sentient technology came rolling up to them.
"I think someone's a little jealous." Kali smiled, petting Sphere, the living alien tech they got as a souvenir/pet from their last mission.
"I think so too." Superboy smiled, petting the techno-sphere as well. "It was nice of you to let Wally back on the team officially during the last mission."
"I figured he suffered enough from all he went through on Earth Omega." Kali said.
"Ready for school?"
Superboy and Kali looked up to see Megan coming into the docking bay with Aqualad, Red Tornado, and Manhunter.
"I made our lunches." Megan said, landing on the platform.
"Unless you have enough to feed an army in one of those bags, there's no way that'll be enough for Kali." Superboy said, before Kali smacked him upside the head.
"That's enough you."
"Hmm… I'm not sensing another presence within her, so we can rule out pregnancy." Megan said.
"Why does everyone think I'll get pregnant if they turn their backs on me for two minutes?" Kali questioned.
"The first day of a scholastic season carries great cultural residence, we want to wish you both well." Manhunter said.
"Guess it's not a Kryptonian thing." Superboy said, wiping grease from his hands.
"I still don't see how going to school will help me with getting ready for the Cell Games come new years." Kali said.
"We believe you will succeed in defeating this threat, and thus we believe you should get a proper education as well for when this threat is vanquished." Red Tornado stated.
"You may wish to change, before you depart." Aqualad said.
"Ah, I spent hours choosing this outfit. What do you think?" Megan asked. "Can M'gann M'orzz pass as an earth girl now?"
"Well…"
"Just kidding." Megan said, before twirling and changing her skin tone to Caucasian. "Meet Megan Morse. What are your new names?"
"Our what?" Superboy asked.
"She means our civilian names." Kali said. "I'm going for Kali Kent. As an homage to the late Kent Nelson."
"An' you're going to school dressed like that?" Manhunter asked.
"What's wrong with my clothes?"
For civilian life, Kali was dressed in a pair of black tights under a pair of skinny jean shorts, along with a black muscle shirt with the Superman emblem on the chest, and a crop top jean jacket over her arms, with her hair tied in a pony tail, along with a pair of rectangle framed glasses, and a pair of white soled slipper like runners.
"Aren't those gonna ruin your eyes?" Megan asked.
"The lenses are made of regular glass. So I'm basically looking through a couple of small windows." Kali said pushing her glasses up. "What about you Superboy?"
"Well… I'm not sure."
"I took the name, John Jones for myself, and suggested John Smith for Red Tornado." Manhunter said, taking on his civilian persona. "You could be a John too."
"Pass." Superboy said.
"Yeah, you don't really seem like the John type." Kali smiled.
"Connor's always been, my favorite name." Megan said, to which the newly named Connor, shrugged to indicate it was acceptable.
"Ooh, Connor huh?" Kali asked teasingly. "Though you also need another name, a family name, to go along with it."
"A last name would definitely be required." Aqualad said.
"Perhaps… Kent?" Manhunter suggested.
"Oh in memory of Dr. Fate, the late Kent Nelson, just like Kali." Megan said. "That way you could identify as siblings in your civilian lives as well."
"Of… course." Manhunter said hesitantly, returning to his usual appearance.
"Okay sure. I guess it would be an, honor or something." Connor said.
"Well, Connor Kent, time to change your shirt. You don't wanna reveal your identity." Megan said.
"At least try getting into his pants in privacy." Kali said.
"That is not what I was doing." Megan said, her face blushing at that statement, before she blushed harder when Connor was shirtless, revealing his muscular form as he turned his shirt inside out.
"Will this do?" Connor asked.
"That should work. We'll get you some actual blank shirts on the way home after school lets out for the day." Kali said.
"Wait, shouldn't I be Connor Nelson?" He asked, putting the inside out shirt on as he and Megan went towards the exit.
"They grow up so fast." Manhunter said, Sphere coming up next to them, wanting some positive attention.
"When you suggested Connor's last name, you were going for Superman's sir-name, weren't you?" Kali asked, petting Sphere.
"You could tell?"
"I've known about Superman's identity as Clark Kent, since day one of being team leader." Kali said as she made her way to the exit. "But I'm happy to see you're thinking of getting their family together, just like I am."
~Happy Harbor High School~
"The Campus seems a lot bigger during the day, doesn't it?" Kali asked looking around the campus, as she walked through it with Connor and Megan.
"Watch out."
Kali looked to see someone nearly ramming right into her, but was stopped as Connor grabbed him by the back of the jacket, allowing for Kali to stop the skateboard with her foot.
"Watch where you're going next time, okay?" Connor questioned.
"What's your problem?"
Kali, Connor, and Megan turned to see a big strapping man wearing a Superman shirt, with a cheerleader at his side, and several other jocks and cheerleaders in the group.
"Put my man Marvin, down." The first jock said, getting ready for a fight.
"There's no problem here." Kali said getting between them. "My brother just stopped him from hitting me while on his skateboard."
Hitting the end with her foot, Kali flipped the board over her arm, around her neck and into her other hand.
"Though I would have been fine without his intervention." She smiled, seeing how the others were impressed with the trick she pulled with the skateboard.
"Whoa, that was so cool." The skater teen said as Connor put him down. "Sorry."
"It's okay, but like my brother said. Watch where you're going on this thing." Kali said, handing the board back to him. "I'm Kali Kent, this is my brother Connor, and this is our friend Megan. It's our first day here."
"Okay, time to get to homeroom gang." One of the teachers said, snapping their fingers to get their attentions. "Mr. Kent, Ms. Kent, Ms. Morse, you three can pick up your class schedules at the registration office."
"Yes sir, right away." Kali said, before leading the way with Connor and Megan following.
"Wait up." One of the cheerleaders said, catching up with them. "Hey there, I'm Wendy. I was new here last year, so I know how hard it is to fit in. But you two look like instant Bumblebee material to me."
"You mean, cheerleading material?" Kali asked.
"Yeah, you'd both be great."
"Sorry I can't. I have an after school job, and I can't spare any time, because the hours are pretty tight as is." Kali said.
"It's fine. What about you?" Wendy asked, turning to Megan. "The tryouts are after school."
"Thanks, I'll be there." Megan smiled, leading the way with Wendy.
"Hey, facing down Mal Duncan. That was pretty hard core." Marvin said, talking to Kali and Connor. "Not too smart, but hard core."
"I wouldn't worry about it. Something tells me he isn't the type to go after girls in a negative way." Kali smiled, before her phone went off.
~Class~
"If Lex Luthor's unknown strategy for peace fails, the two Rhelasia's are looking at all out war, before morning." Cat Grant said on the news feed, before the television was shut off.
"Who can tell me more about Rhelasia?" The teacher asked, before a ringtone began going off. "Ms. Kent, phones off during class."
"I'm sorry Mr. Carr, it's an emergency. I have to take this." Kali said, coming to the front and showing the number to him.
After looking at the number for a second, Mr. Carr took up his clipboard and looked to a note on it.
"Ah yes. I was informed it was important if that number ever came up. You're dismissed, just notify me if you need to leave for the day and I'll mark you down as absent do to a personal emergency." Mr. Carr said.
"Thank you Mr. Carr." Kali said, leaving the classroom and putting an ear piece in. "Yes?"
"Kali, it's Aqualad."
"What's the situation?"
"Red Arrow called in for assistance, and I am inclined to help due to him being an old friend of mine. But I know that without Team Leader's permission I could not assist him." Aqualad said.
"What's he asking for?"
"I was hoping you would not ask the details of the situation."
"Too bad. I can't sign off on this mission of yours unless I know the details." Kali stated.
There was a tense moment of silence before Aqualad let off a sigh and spoke up once again.
"The League of Shadows are targeting the Rhelasia Peace Summit's Impartial Third Party." Aqualad stated. "An' he's found himself in over his head on the mission he's currently on."
"So the mission is to be Luthor's bodyguard." Kali said.
"I was not aware you knew who the third party was."
"Of course I know, my teacher just got done with showing us the news feed about his plans for resolving their issues peacefully." Kali said. "Look, I'm not gonna sign off on this solo mission of yours. If Luthor's involved, I'm joining in."
"I do not think Red Arrow would appreciate that."
"It doesn't matter what he thinks. I'm Team Leader and what I say goes when it comes to the safety to my team." Kali said. "I'll meet you at Mount Justice in ten. Be ready to leave once I get there."
Without waiting for Aqualad to respond, Kali hung up and removed the ear piece, before returning to the class.
"Mr. Carr, I'm sorry but I do have to leave." Kali said.
"No need. Go, I'm sure this is important." Carr stated. "Just be sure to sign out first."
"Thank you." Kali said, before rushing out of there.
~Peace Summit Building~
"The League of Shadows wants you dead." Red Arrow stated, addressing Lex in his office.
"Doesn't every League?" Lex questioned sarcastically.
"It's not just Cheshire. It's Sports Master and Ra's al Ghul himself." Red Arrow stated.
"I can't say I'm surprised." Lex said, pushing his arms forward to comfortably adjust his jacket. "Ra's is something of a… competitor of mine."
"Then maybe I should stand aside and watch you take each other out." Red Arrow said.
"Your stab at pragmatism is, well adorable."
"But the summit and the peace are at steak." Kali said, pushing the doors open, and making herself known, still dressed in her school clothes, minus her glasses. "So we don't have a choice but to work to keep him safe."
"Didn't realize you were in Luthor's pocket." Red stated, glaring at Kali. "An' why are you wearing civilian clothes?"
"I'm not in Luthor's pocket. I'm Aqualad's TL, and he needed my sign off to come here on this little side mission of yours, and I wouldn't give it unless I came along." Kali stated. "An' would you relax about my wardrobe choices? I'm wearing my solar suit under the civil clothing, so it's fine."
"I see you've been made aware about your genetic makeup." Luthor said, seeing the shield on the chest of her suit.
"What are you talking about? I'm a Saiyan, nothing more, nothing less." Kali stated.
"I see, my apologies, I was mistaken." Luthor stated. "Red Arrow, if the Shadows think you're dead, then maybe we can surprise them."
"I've got a better surprise. One with a twist I wasn't expecting." Red Arrow stated.
~Summit~
"The unification is unthinkable."
"Our peoples no longer have anything in common."
"Gentlemen, this is mere rhetoric." Luthor said, Red Arrow standing behind him as his body guard. "Despite your differences, you still share an appreciation for many things, such as the exquisite art of the Rhelasian Tea Ceremony."
After saying this, a hand maiden in Rhelasian garb came wheeling a cart forward, stopping when Kali and Aqualad turned around to face her.
"That is far enough, Cheshire." Aqualad stated alerting the summit to Cheshire's presence.
"This is just sad." Kali sighed, as Red Arrow loaded his bow. "Did you forget about my ability to sense your Ki?"
Cheshire just glared, before she spotted Red Arrow and smiled. Pressing a button on the cart she was pushing, Cheshire thrust it forward and sent it rolling at the Summit Meeting.
"EVERYONE GET DOWN." Kali cried out.
Throwing her arms out, Kali thrust them down, and encased the cart in a sphere of Ki, as Aqualad created a wall of water behind Kali, trapping the explosive as it went off. The force of the blast shattered the sphere, but left everyone there relatively unharmed thanks to their combined efforts, with minor damage to the structure.
"Kali, are you okay?" Aqualad questioned.
"Yeah." Kali groaned, picking herself up, and throwing off what remained of her jacket. "That was my favorite jacket too."
"Your fault for wearing it to a mission." Red Arrow said.
"I'll be invoicing you for it. An' it wasn't cheap." Kali stated. "Right now we have to deal with Cheshire."
The villain in question laid across the platform from Kali, but she wasn't down for long as she picked herself up, with a bit of pain evident by her wincing.
"It's over Cheshire." Red Arrow said, drawing back on his bow string and aiming his arrow at the villain.
"You would think so." She said, getting to her feet, just as a helicopter flew up to be level with the shattered window.
Inside the chopper, were Sports Master and several of his goons.
"Sports Master." Kali growled.
"Hey there. Glad to see you're still kicking. Thought for sure you'd kicked the bucket with that over aged Venom, Bane injected you with." Sports Master said. "But I'm glad you're here. Because now I get to see the Light's new weapon in action, against you."
"What?" Kali questioned, before Sports Master pressed a button on his forearm bracer.
"What, you didn't think Neo Cell was the only android we had Dr. Ivo build from Dr. Gero's research, did you?" Sports Master questioned, obviously smiling under his mask, as the building's structure began to rumble. "Say hello, to Irro."
Kali looked right down as the ground in front of her cracked, and out came a steel hand, before it gripped the ground as Kali jumped back, to avoid being pulled through.
"You see, unlike Cell, these androids are comprised of two to four sets of DNA, giving them biological and artificial bodies." Sports Master stated, as his goons spread out from the chopper. "Irro, is made from the DNA of Demon King Piccolo, Martian Manhunter, Frieza, and a Saiyan."
The floor continued to crack open, and from out of it came a well built man, with green skin and purple stripes down his cheeks. He looked mostly like a Kryptonian, rather then a Saiyan, with Frost Demon features, such as a tail and a gem like feature in the chest, while he had a head of black hair grown out in a warrior's wolf tail, dressed in a solar suit similar to hers with armored shinguards, and bracers. But the thing she noticed about him, was he was built like a brick house, like a bodybuilder.
"Irro, you have your target. Now kill." Sports Master ordered.
Irro was instantly in Kali's face, forcing the Saiyan to cross her arms and brace herself as she blocked a punch that would have broken her ribs, as the impact forced her back.
"Not good." Kali groaned, her arms shaking. "He fractured my arms."
"Kali." Aqualad called out, before he was forced to focus by Sports Master.
"Eyes on me Aqua Brat." Sports Master stated.
(Cue Music… Phoenix: Fallout Boy)
Regaining her footing, Kali took a step forward and lunged at Irro, hitting him with a knee to the temple, but he'd blocked it with his forearm, surprising Kali. Grabbing the Saiyan by her leg, Irro spun Kali around before throwing her out the destroyed window. Despite the sudden onset of dizziness, Kali managed to regain her footing, before Irro was on top of her, and slammed his clenched fists into her stomach, sending her to the ground bellow.
Correcting her trajectory, Kali managed to stay in the air, and flew along the ground before making impact. Looking back, Kali saw Irro was on her tail, and his arms shifted from their normal forms, to looking like green scaled snakes.
"Just great. Why'd it have to be snakes?"
Flipping around in the middle of the air, Kali spun to face Irro, and quickly grabbed the snakes that comprised his arms, before hitting him with a double kick to the chest.
With the force of the kick pushing him back, Irro was forced to come straight back to Kali like a rubber band, with the tight grip she held on his wrists. With the biological android coming straight for her, Kali flipped upwards, and wrapped her legs around his neck, before spinning downward like a saw blade, and sending Irro into the air with the centrifugal force.
Following closely behind him, Kali managed to wrap her arms around him, but had to keep her eyes shielded away. It was a full moon, and she didn't have the luxury of turning into an Oozaru while in the middle of a city.
"Come on big guy, let's take this battle someplace a bit more private." Kali said, spinning around and throwing Irro into the atmosphere.
Managing to regain his balance, Irro straightened himself out, before his eyes widened as Kali was instantly in his face and hit him with a downward strike from her fists clenched together.
"You're strong, good. I was worried this would be boring." Irro smirked, after regaining his bearings.
"I'd hate to disappoint." Kali stated, slamming her elbow into him, only for him to catch it in his hand.
Swinging her leg up into a kick, Kali slammed her shin into Irro's head, causing him to go spinning before he corrected his trajectory, and flew right at her, with an open palm and a charged Ki attack.
Bringing her arms up to block the strike, Kali glared at Irro as the smoke cleared, before quickly grabbing his arm, and spun around herself, twisting his arm like a wet rag. Seemingly unphased by this sudden disfigurement Irro just pulled his arm back, with the twisting causing a spinning motion that looked unnatural, before he lunged at Kali once more, a double strike ready to hit her, before the Saiyan girl went Super and hit him with an axe kick, sending him down and landing on the roof of the building the Rhelasian Summit was being held in.
(End Song…)
"You're a strong fighter Irro, a biological android with the powers of those your body is comprised of. So why do I get the feeling, this fight was more of a lesson, then a life or death situation?" Kali asked, landing on the roof as the android picked himself up.
"Guess you caught me." Irro laughed. "I was built for the sole purpose of testing your mettle, and seeing how far you've progressed. The Light, is just as concerned about the Neo Cell Games as the Justice League is. You're on the right track, but you're still nowhere near strong enough to fight him, as you are now. Which is why this fight was intended to not only test you, but give you a Zenkai boost as well."
"I know I'm not strong enough to fight Neo Cell. Hell I didn't even get a punch in on him when we met." Kali stated, undoing her Super Saiyan transformation. "I have to get stronger, but I don't know how."
"There are several ways, I'd recommend going to Shazam for one of them." Irro said with a grunt. "Listen, now that you've figured out what I was created for, The Light, no longer has need for me, and has activated my self destruct. I'll be turning to dust in a moment. But let me leave you with a word of warning."
"Which is?"
"Your team has a mole." Irro stated, making Kali's eyes widen. "The Light didn't think I knew, but these Namekian ears are capable of hearing over great distances. Unfortunately I don't know who it is, all I know for certain, is it isn't you nor is it Superboy. Be weary of those, who you are close with. You never know, who is truly friend of foe." The android said, before his body turned to dust.
"Kali can you read me?" Aqualad's voice came in through her ear piece. "We have a situation."
"If you're about to tell me we have a mole on the team, then don't bother. Irro told me before he turned to dust." Kali said.
"What will we do?" Aqualad asked.
Kali was silent for a moment, before she came up with a hard decision.
"We keep quiet about it. If we're able to find out who it is, before anything bad can happen, then we'll let them team know once we have the mole apprehended." Kali sighed. "An' to be honest, I don't know if this information is valid or not, considering the sources it came from. How'd you find out about the mole?"
"Sports Master was my source. Red Arrow thinks he may have an idea of who the mole is, but isn't willing to share." Aqualad stated.
"He's assuming it's Artemis. Mainly because he's suspicious of her roots." Kali sighed. "But I know it's not her, and I know it's not you. But trying to figure out which is the mole, is gonna be tricky."
"Indeed. I can only guess what kind of strain this is having on you right now." Aqualad said.
"It's at times like these, where I wish I had actually rejected the position of team leader." Kali groaned. "This is gonna be a major pain in my ass."

Yes I skipped Episode 9. I don't care.
