This is one of the first chapters where two characters who can't fight will fights. However, this fight has two different outcomes, as there are fans of both versions, so this chapter will be split into two different parts, showcasing the two different outcomes it will have.
The two warriors stared at each other. Their power flared with each breath they took. They knew that this wasn't going to be an easy battle, after all, their opponent was them in a way.
On one side stood Gogeta, the fusion of Goku and Vegeta by the way of Metamol, a technique Goku learned when he was in the Otherworld. His yellow hair signified that he was in his Super Saiyan state, a legendary state that amplified one's power by fifty. He wore this form with all seriousness, knowing that this battle wasn't to be taken lightly.
On the other side of the field stood Vegito, wearing a gi of purple and orange. He was the fusion of Goku and Vegeta, this time via the Potara Earrings, an ornament worn by the Kais. He, at the moment, had black hair along with a cocky expression. He had all the reason to be that cocky, his power was virtually unmatched, or so it seemed.
Gogeta frowned, "Why aren't you in your Super Saiyan form?" He asked him. It wouldn't be a fair fight if one of them held back.
"Nah, I don't need it," Vegito replied as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes. "I don't even need my feet."
Gogeta humphed. If he wasn't going to give it his all, then the Metamol fusion was going to take advantage of that. "Alright, here goes." He said as he blasted off towards Vegito, shooting off some invisible attacks that launched ahead.
Vegito, since he had his eyes closed, used his ki-sensing abilities to evade the invisible attacks, however, he wasn't able to predict what Gogeta was doing next.
"Got you!" Gogeta said as he appeared behind Vegito, punching him several times in the gut, sending him flying back Gogeta used Instant Transmission to appear behind him once more, kicking him in the back. He didn't relent in his attacks as he launched several ki blasts volley towards Vegito, most of which connected. Using the momentum, Gogeta rushed in, launching an uppercut to the Potara Fusion, sending him flying upwards.
"KAMEHAME-" Gogeta charged the legendary move.
"HA!" He shouted as he launched the attack.
As soon as the beam made contact with Vegito, who used his Spirit Sword to cancel the blast. "Man, I hadn't expected that." He rushed forward to Gogeta, intent on attacking, but Gogeta easily evaded them all due to his superior speed. With a kick to the gut, Vegito was sent flying away.
"If you aren't going to get serious, I recommend just giving up." Gogeta sternly told Vegito. "If you aren't, then I am going to take full advantage of it!"
Vegito looked down at the ground. This wasn't something he had expected. He had such power, even in his base form, yet he was being thrashed around like trash. "Alright then." He spoke, "If you want a serious Vegito, then you're going to get a super VEGITO!" As he shouted his name, he turned Super Saiyan, his hair turning to a brilliant yellow-gold colour that matched in intensity to Gogeta's. "It's your downfall." He stated as the two rushed towards each other.
As the two fists clashed, a huge shock wave formed. Punches and kicks were launched at each other as the attacks were traded. Ducking beneath a punch, Vegito smiled as he saw the opening, "The fun starts here!" He said as he launched a Complete Shot to Gogeta's abdomen and continued it by grabbing both of his wrists and falling back.
The momentum caused Gogeta to be launched forward above Vegito, who used his feet to launch Gogeta upwards with a powerful kick. Blasting to reach his enemy, Vegito launched several punches to his face and then grabbed his foot to throw him to the ground, the Atomic Buster. "Time to end this," Vegito said as he began to charge up the Kamehameha.
"KA, ME, HA, ME-" He charged up, putting most of his power into this one blast, "HAAAAAA!" He shouted as the beam lunged towards the downed warrior, who safely teleported away from it just in time.
"Huh," Vegito said as Gogeta appeared behind him, launching a kick to his head and sending him flying down.
"It's my turn." The Metamol fusion said as he moved along, appearing in front of Vegito, attacking him with a Rising Vortex, a hard uppercut with a hard elbow and a downward spinning kick.
He then closed his eyes as he charged up his energy and rushed forward. Charging at Vegito, he delivered a kick into his stomach and then bicycle kicked him into the air. "HERE GOES!" He yelled as he rushed to the warrior born from Potara, delivering a barrage of punches and kicks at a very rapid pace. Using his immense speed once again, he appeared behind Vegito. "IT'S OVER!" He yelled. As Vegito tried to attack, Gogeta countered with an elbow and spin-kicked him away. Teleporting above Vegito, he hook kicked him to the ground.
Descending onto the fallen warrior, Gogeta crossed his arms, "It's time you gave up." Vegito's eyes snapped open at that. He began to charge his ki, even more, intending on getting the upper hand once more.
This sudden burst in power knocked Gogeta slightly back as the aura around Vegito got wilder. As it subsided, Vegito stood proudly, "Take a good long look." He said as he rushed forward, "THIS IS THE POWER OF SUPER VEGITO 2!' He yelled as he launched a punch to Gogeta's face, sending him flying back. He followed that up by appearing below the still flying Gogeta, kicking him up and using Instant Transmission he appeared above him.
Covering his fist with a yellow aura, he punched Gogeta to the ground with great intensity, the Savage Strike. He then teleported to the ground and rushed at Gogeta once more, who grabbed his arm and threw him to the ground. The two clashed for a while, with Vegito keeping the upper hand during it. "Come on, make me break a sweat." He taunted the Metamol fusion.
Gogeta frowned once more as he instantly raised his ki, transforming to match Vegito. "Want to get serious? Meet Super Saiyan 2." He stated.
The two clashed, with Gogeta getting the momentary upper hand as he used Punisher Drive to attack Vegito with invisible ki blasts, which hit him this time. He then performed two bicycle kicks that launched him back.
"This is getting exciting," Vegito said as he clapped back with his volley of ki blasts.
The two collided with each other once more, generating shock waves that were felt all around the planet on which they were fighting.
Evading some of Vegito's punches, Gogeta grabbed his legs and spun him around and then threw him. "Let's get going!" He said as he charged up, causing a shock wave as he blasted off to catch up to Vegito. Punching him three times, Gogeta kicked Vegito into the air, infusing some of his ki into the warrior. He then raised his arms and then crossed them. Smirking, he detonated the ki within Vegito's body causing an explosion to surface. He then sent some ki blast within the smoke, knowing that the attack wouldn't have damaged him in any way whatsoever.
Vegito rushed through the smoke, the top of his gi destroyed, as he delivered another Complete Shot. He continued that with a haymaker and a kick that launched Gogeta away. "Take this!" He said as he threw several Banshee Blasts, all of which connected with the Fused Warrior.
Getting his bearings right, Gogeta and Vegito launched at each other, their fists drawn back intent on winning this encounter.
The two fists collided with each other causing a huge explosion of energy to shoot out, destroying most of the natural terrain that was present. Vegito smirked at his enemy, "This is perhaps the best fight I have ever gotten." He stated.
"Good for you then," Gogeta replied. He wasn't interested in small talk. He just wanted this fight to be over with.
Grabbing his hand, Vegito pulled Gogeta in for a sucker punch. Not letting go of the hand, the Potara Fusion delivered a flurry of kicks, all of them connecting and dealing damage to the Metamol Fusion.
Grabbing the offending leg, Gogeta smirked as he suddenly flew upwards with Vegito in tow. The sudden change in momentum had caused Vegito to let go of Gogeta's hand as he was now sent careening towards the ground once more. Crashing down, the momentum caused him to bounce a little, something Gogeta used as he kneed Vegito back down as he burst upwards.
"HAAAAA!" Gogeta shouted as several ki balls, yellow, rained onto Vegito, the Stardust Fall. "NOT ENOUGH!" Gogeta shouted as he brought up even more energy from within, which caused his vest to tear off with the power as he launched more and more Stardust Fall at Vegito.
As the attack ended, he knew what was coming so he descended to the ground, a couple of meters away. As the dust settled Vegito was standing there. "Time to settle this," Gogeta said as Vegito nodded.
The Potara Fusion raised his arms to the sides as he began to charge up energy, quite similar to the Final Flash Vegeta used, but not quite similar as he then brought it to his sides in the familiar pose to that of Goku's Kamehameha. Gogeta, on the other hand, had begun charging the attack with both of his palms in front of his body. The ki ball was forming a few inches ahead. The manner of forming it was quite similar to Vegeta's Big Bang Attack which he had used against Android 19.
"FINAL-" Vegito muttered as he charged the attack.
"BIG BANG-" Gogeta said as the orb became even brighter.
"KAMEHAMEHAAAA!" The two yelled together as they launched their attacks at each other. The two collided and a huge battle for dominance started.
From here, time branches out into two main separate branches.
(Timeline 1)
Vegito could feel the impulse. He knew that if he had to win, he would have to find more energy deep down. He had to win, he just had to. It wasn't even fair. He was the better fusion of the two. He was easier to form and took way less effort to form. "HAAAAAAAAAAAH!" He shouted as he raised his ki even more than before, however, Gogeta replied with the same.
The two of them were at a standstill, with no one getting the upper hand against the other. Vegito thought back to his inception. He was made to combat Buu, the deadliest Majin ever. And he even won. So why wasn't he able to beat the inferior fusion?
Pulling all that rage into him, Vegito yelled once more, his aura flaring even brighter. Once it subsided, he had long hair, and no eyebrows, and could feel his power explode. He smirked. "Gogeta, meet Super Vegito….." He paused for dramatic effect, "THREEEE!" He shouted as he put more of his power into the beam clash, overpowering it and engulfing Gogeta. As the Metamol Fighter lay defeated on the ground, Vegito smirked as he detransforms back to his base.
"Never doubt the power of Vegito." He said as he pointed to himself and gave a thumbs-up.
(Timeline 2)
Gogeta remained calm throughout the clash. It wasn't anything serious for him. He had assessed the whole situation beforehand. Planning things out wasn't an issue for him, seeing that it was how he always fought. The moment he heard Vegito say that he wasn't going to use Super Saiyan initially made him realize that his opponent never took things seriously. If he had to bet, then he knew that Vegito wasn't giving his all during the clash.
And that was something he could and would use to his advantage. During the clash, he used one of the techniques he had seen from Tien, the Clone technique. He knew that if he used more power, then he was at risk of defusing, meaning he had to plan this right.
Forming a clone, he motioned him to go and distract Vegito, which it did so by sending a volley of ki. It did not hurt him that much as the Clone Gogeta was just in base form, however, it was all the distraction Gogeta needed.
Turning Super Saiyan 3, Gogeta put more of his energy into the Big Bang Kamehameha, making the hue go from blue to dark yellow. This burst in power had caused Gogeta's attack to overtake the whole clash, engulfing Vegito in its wake.
As the Potara warrior lay there, unconscious, Gogeta just stood there, reverting to his base, a frown on his face as he looked over his downed enemy. He wanted a serious fight, and all Vegito did was disregard everything except for his ego. He sighed as he sat down, waiting for the person who brought them here to take them to their respective timelines.
Chapter 4 is done, and we are heading into some fun stuff. There are very few stories that are limited to one chapter, since they are small fights that can't occur in the main timeline, apart from DBH/SDBH.
