The next day, things were different. I was about to grab some fruit, when Papaya made some noises. She was trying to tell me something. She then pointed as if there's something behind me. I froze and said to her, "There's something right behind me is that what you're trying to say?" Papaya nodded her head yes. I slowly turned around and yelped. It was a wild man. I got my father's dagger and pointed it at him. He then introduced me as Tarzan. I repeated, "Tarzan."
He grunted like a real gorilla and I said, "Oh, I get it now." Then Terk came with some gorillas from yesterday and an elephant. One of the gorillas said, "Hey it's the girl, we saw from yesterday." I guess they recognized me. Terk introduced me to the gorillas and elephant. She then said, "Darla needs some help." I then said, "Yeah, I stumbled into this jungle from my own world and…" I didn't finish because Luna told them that I came from out of nowhere.
I then realized something. The stories that my parents said are true! I can't believe it. I then said, "The stories are true. You are friends with that wild man." Terk said, "You're right Darla."
I can't believe that the stories my parents told me are really true and I didn't believe them. I then noticed that Tarzan is gone. I think he went back to the camp from yesterday. I should check on him in secret. Papaya and Luna agreed with me.
We followed him. We saw him with the woman from before. She's dressed differently. From what I can tell with the old man, he became very excited to see him. I went away before I got discovered. Later on I got to know Terk's friends and the elephant named Tantor. I learned that the leopard that killed Papaya's parents and Luna's parents is named Sabor.
That leopard sounds like bad news to me and Terk said, "Of course Sabor is bad news. Well you don't have to worry about that leopard anymore, Sabor is dead." That's good news to Luna and Papaya. I don't know if I want to get to know the woman and the old man. I think the old man is her father.
There is so much I have to find out on my own sooner or later. I'm gonna have to. Terk, her friends and Tantor liked my eyes. They said that my eyes are really different. I then took notice of the silver back gorilla looking at me and Papaya and Luna. I learned that the silver back gorilla is called Kerchak. Oh so that's it's name.
I got to know Tarzan a bit. Later on, I met the woman and the old man and I learned their names are Jane and Professor Porter. It was a short amount of time before I left to the far side of the jungle. I learned that Jane and her father came to study gorillas.
That's something. I hope that I can find my way home.
