Hey everyone I'm back from the dead! Again….
So before I actually get to this chapter I understand you have a few questions…
First and foremost, the boss battle. Don't get me wrong people I did actually enjoy this boss fight in the game (Can't say the same about later bosses) however what I didn't really like was the fact that every single boss was a Possessor- Yes they used a different form, but you still fought the same ghost five f**king times. I would have been okay with it if the Possessor was just the Gloomy Manor Boss, but instead it's the boss of all five mansions- And one of those mansions just makes the boss an enemy rush.
So I decided to rectify one of my major issues with Dark Moon, the lack of outstanding ghosts as one of my favorite things about Luigi's Mansion and Luigi's Mansion 3 was the fact the Portrait Ghosts and Floor bosses were unique and had some personality to them- So I'm bringing a bit of that into this story. But I will say this- One Possessor will return because I do admit, I liked the concept behind it, but it was overused.
Second is Blake being brought in. Well to be honest I initially had intended for Blake to have been a descendant of a family of 'Necromancers' that once lived in Evershade Valley, a sort of play on the idea that in some japanese folklore Nekomata are capable of resurrecting the dead- Don't really hear that one often do ya?- But I've honestly decided against this because then I'd feel like I'm hamfisting a relation to ghosts into all of Team RWBY and that I would need to figure out some distant ancestor to Weiss from Evershade. Instead I'll go with the reason I explain in this story as well as a few others we'll get into eventually…
That being said, sorry guys, I'm not bringing Nicholas Schnee's ghost into Evershade Valley- I already got plans for him.
Nor will team JNPR be in this one guys. I would've liked to, but I don't have enough mansions… Or a big enough one.
Third, was something a guest brought up, but sadly does not have an account so I can respond to him directly, seriously people if you have legitimate questions about this story make an account so I can answer them in a timely manner.
To summarize, one of his questions was 'Why was Widow not a Possessor if Clairvoya said that ghosts lose their name, form and gender if they existed too long.' I'll state it here really- To simplify, Widlow remembers who she is because of her Fixation- Her spiders, whom constantly remind her of who she is. These Fixations are why some ghosts still have their original forms, she's been dead for a couple hundred years AT MOST. Meanwhile the random Greenie taking a shower, whom has no fixation, is a couple THOUSAND years dead AT LEAST.
Understand? I hope so, if not please get an account and ask me again (Unless a lot people question this)
Now I just filled an entire Google Doc's page answering these questions so let's start the story, sorry if this one is short however.

Blake had an immediate dislike of the Pixelator, the transportation did not play nice with her enhanced senses, and appearing in midair didn't help.
Blake landed on her feet next to Ruby, who landed on her butt once again.
"Welcome back Ruby, hello again Blake." E. Gadd said with a smile, "That was a remarkable fight you put up Ruby, I'm sure your family would be proud of you if they could've seen you."
Ruby blushed, "Thanks professor." Ruby said as she pulled out the Dark Moon Shard, "Is-"
A claw quickly grabbed the Dark Moon shard from Ruby and encased it within an iron capsule "Don't worry." E. Gadd said as the claw retreated from the room, "Madame Clairvoya was quick to leave the room when I warned her." The Professor leaned toward the door of the room "It's safe!" he shouted.
Madame Clairvoya floated back into the room, Zwei following right behind her, "Welcome back Ruby, hello Blake- I wish we could have met again in better circumstances." Clairvoya said.
"Hello." Blake said as a slot opened up for Ruby to deposit her ghosts, "And… I wish we could have met again in a better situation too." Blake scratched her head, "After the Mansion Trap incident I… Gained an interest in ghosts actually, and I was hoping-"
"YEEEAAAAAH!" Ruby cried out as she leaped away from the slot she was depositing the ghost's from.
Where a pair of ghostly hands were sticking out and Widow was extracting her form from the device.
"Professor what do I do!?" Ruby cried out as she backed away and pulled out her flashlight.
"I- I don't know." E. Gadd admitted in a slight panic as he pulled out his own flashlight, "This is an entirely new situation to me. This ghost might be more powerful than we thought."
Finally Widow extracted her entire body from the device and landed face first on the ground.
Blake stepped back, looking around the room for anything she could use, the problem was she couldn't tell what was loose and made of iron, so she grabbed a pipe wrench and hoped it was iron.
"I… I…" Widow started as she raised herself up, then looked directly at Ruby, the pupils in her eyes locking onto the young girl.
"I'M SO SORRY MISS MURAMASA!" Widow cried out, throwing herself at Ruby's feet and hugging her legs, crying as she did so, taking everyone off guard, "I didn't mean anything that I said back there! Please forgive me!"
"Um…" Ruby said looking down at her, "I… Forgive you?" Ruby said, though she herself was fairly uncertain.
"Oh thank you Miss Muramasa!" Widow cried out.
"It's Rose actually." Ruby said, "I'm Ruby Rose."
Widow raised an eyebrow, "Rose? Well it's been a couple centuries, families mix and names change I suppose." Widow muttered before raising herself up and brushing herself off, "Well, I suppose proper introductions are necessary. I am Widow Arachne Noire the third, and last member of the Noire family of Evershade Valley, it's a pleasure to meet the descendant of Ivory and Shinku Muramasa, and it's nice to know little Granfloria had children." Widow said with a bow.
Ruby filed the name 'Ivory Muramasa' away as she looked at Widow, "Oh um… It's a pleasure to meet you as well." Ruby said.
Widow looked over to E. Gadd, "Ah, you're the professor my dear little ones told me had set up a research lab in my Manor." Widow said with a smile, "After all this is straightened up I'd be delighted to assist you if you would like."
E. Gadd smiled, "Thank you Lady Noire, I'm Professor Elvin Gadd, but please, call me E. Gadd." The professor said, as Ruby began to yawn.
Widow snickered, "You parent's couldn't help themselves could they." Widow said before noticing Clairvoya, "Claire! It's been so long!" Widow cried out as she gave the fortune teller a hug.
"It has been a while, Lady Noire." Clairvoya said, patting Widow on the back.
Widow then released Clairvoya from her hug then looked at Blake and smiled, "And it is lovely to see a fellow Faunus here in Evershade again." Widow said with a smile, "It's so difficult to convey Faunus sensitive problems to humans."
Blake smiled, "I know what you mean." Blake said, "Blake Belladonna." Blake said, holding out her hand.
"A pleasure." Widow said, shaking it, when a beep from E. Gadd's computer alerted them all.
"Ah, the Dark moon shard has been cleansed and some more fog has lifted." E. Gadd said, "And I've regained remote access to my camera's in the Haunted Towers."
"The Haunted Towers?" Blake asked as Ruby gulped, "A bit on the nose there don't you think?"
"A little bit." Widow said, "The Haunted Towers is actually one of the two unique structures in Evershade Valley because of Gaia's Tree."
"Gaia's-" Ruby yawned once more, the adrenaline fading from her system, getting a worried glance from everyone but Widow, "Tree?"
"Yes!" Widow said happily, "The Haunted Towers was built around the largest tree in Evershade Valley, the amount of ghost's that moved into the towers then began to generate enough Paranormal energy to not only cause the tree to grow even larger, it also created an entirely new ghost, the spirit of the tree given spectral form, Sister Gaia as she calls herself."
It was then everyone heard a thump, causing everyone to quickly look to the source, Ruby Rose had fallen flat on her face.
"Ruby!" Blake cried out as she flipped Ruby onto her back, thankful her nose was protected by her Aura.
Ruby then let out a long, rather loud snore, which caused everyone to sigh in relief.
"She's just asleep." E. Gadd said in relief, "She must not have been sleeping well lately."
Blake felt a pang in her heart, she could feel that part of it was her fault, leaving Yang after what had happened with Adam.
"Is there a bed somewhere we can lay her?" Widow asked as she gently picked up Ruby, sliding the Poltergust off her as she did.
"There's a hammock in the next room." E. Gadd said, pointing toward a door, "But I'm not sure if we can afford to stop looking for-"
"I'll take over then." Blake said immediately as she reached down to grab the Poltergust, catching E. Gadd and Clairvoya by surprise, "Ruby being so tired is probably my fault in part at the very least. This is probably the least I can do for her, so let Ruby rest, I'll go through the Haunted Towers."
Clairvoya smiled as Blake lifted the Poltergust, jerking forward a little as she did so.
"This is heavier than it looks." Blake muttered as Clairvoya floated over and helped Blake lift the Poltergust onto her back.
"Did Ruby give you an idea of how things work?" E. Gadd asked.
Blake nodded, "Blind the ghosts with the Strobulb, start the vacuum, push the button on occasion." Blake said.
E. Gadd nodded, "That'll work." E. Gadd said before turning to his computer, "Are you ready Blake? I'm sending you to the Haunted Towers… Now."
And with that, Blake was turned into pixels and sucked into the camera.
Madame Clairvoya looked over at E. Gadd as he pulled up documents showing the details of the Poltergust, "Are you looking to make another Poltergust?" Clairvoya asked, then chuckled, "Do you have so little faith in the young faunus?"
"No… Just making a few more in case Blake, and possibly the others, want to help Ruby when she wakes up." E. Gadd said as he pressed a few more keys on his computer.
It was then a loud 'gong' rung throughout the valley, causing E. Gadd to pause and a look of confusion to appear on Madame Clairvoya's face.
"Old Clockwork's bell?" Clairvoya asked herself, "That's… That bell hasn't rung in centuries… Why did she fix it?"
E. Gadd looked at Clairvoya in confusion, "I wasn't aware the Old Clockworks had a bell, who are you talking about?"
Clairvoya looked at E. Gadd in worry, "The Time Witch, and we can only pray she avoided the Dark Moon shard." Clairvoya said.
At that moment, the a door on the other side of the lab burst open with Luigi running out, pure terror in his eyes.
"AAAAAHAHAHAHA!" Luigi cried out as he ran out through the room.
E. Gadd and Madame Clairvoya stared at Luigi as he ran before turning back to the door… And seeing a line of spiders marching into and through the lab single file.
Clairvoya sighed, "He's seen ghosts, but spiders still scare him." Clairvyoa sighed, "Although he is still scared of most ghosts.
E. Gadd sighed, "Hopefully he doesn't wake up Ruby." E. Gadd muttered.

Professor E. Gadd's Ghost Dossiers.
Subject: Bogmire
First and foremost, Bogmire is NOT a standard Ghost, rather it is an ectoplasmic manifestation of emotions, Fear and Despair to be specific.
Bogmire was first discovered (And Captured) by Ruby Rose within a Haunted Mansion on the island of Patch. The amount of paranormal energy was abnormally high due to the sheer number of above average and powerful ghosts residing in the mansion for the amount of time they were in the mansion, and due to a human being imprisoned in the mansion for almost the entirety of its existence, Bogmire was born from fear and despair of said prisoner (Whom has asked to remain anonymous) that was absorbed by the mansions energies.
During Ruby's battle with Bogmire its has shown to be able to create rudimentary replications of itself using its shadow, the size of these replications being equivalent to the how far the shadow stretched, furthermore it appears Bogmire can control the size and direction of it's shadow at will.
These Replications thankfully lack Bogmires notable, if limited, intelligence and other abilities.
Bogmire also seems to be able to call down a lightning strike at will, these lightning strikes can also manifest Replications of varying sizes, though it is unknown if Bogmire has a limit to how often he can call down these lightning strikes at a given time.
Lastly, Bogmire is powerful enough to manifest a pocket dimension, trapping its potential victims inside until the spirit is defeated.
Threat Level: Extreme. Edit: Almost non-existent*
Addendum to Threat Level: Bogmire had proven to be an extreme threat during Ruby's battle with the entity, however thanks to observations by friendly ghosts, this must be corrected.
After the Mansion was leveled and all traces of paranormal energy scrubbed from what was salvaged, Bogmire's behavior was noted to have changed in his portrait according to several Portrait Ghost's that were glad to monitor it.
At the moment Bogmire is in a near catatonic state, when released from its portrait it moved slowly, aimlessly wandering the gallery, it appears to willingly involve itself in matters when approached for whatever reason, though it lacks the ability to communicate.
Note: When it caught sight of a picture of Ruby Rose, who captured it, and the Prisoner of the mansion it changed behavior. The entirety of its focus was locked onto the picture and continued to do so until the picture was removed from the area. Before it returned its usual behavior it uttered a single word 'Rose'
Attachment for the Rose-Xiao Long Family: Ruby, Summer, I'd like to ask you two to at least inform me ahead of time if you two wish to visit the gallery, based off of Bogmires actions when it saw just a picture of you two, I'm worried of what it might do if it spots either of you. If you so wish, we can conduct a test during a visit- But again, I insist that you let me know you plan to visit ahead of time.
