Sooo we changed our name to Kirakiwiwrites on tumblr and Instagram. It seems more succinct and now it's pretty much that same everywhere. Sorry for any confusion!

We are just going to stop apologizing for long chapters. At this point you know we have all the words. We aren't sorry.

Reviews:

MarciaChapter2: Thank you! You know Burt has to be impartial but he *might* be meeting them later… We love the dynamic between Blaine, Sam, and Tina. Their friendship on the show was pretty cute, so we wanted to explore that a bit. A lot is going to happen this chapter hehe.

Iris7124: Whaaat two reviews?? Thank you! We absolutely love it lol. But thank you we love Burt so much, especially the Burt/Kurt relationship. But yes, Blaine is trying so hard bless him. The birthday party will be the next chapter and this one is the gala!

Onyx115: He definitely is!

The next week-Saturday-May

Kurt glanced at himself in the bathroom mirror, primping a little. His hair was perfect though, as was his magnificent outfit he had made.

Soft black velvet that shifted to a dark teal in the light comprised most of the jacket. Along the shoulders and collar draped sparkling crystals mixed with gold embroidery that Kurt had bled for. Literally. He had poked himself so many times with his needle. He had forgone the tails since it just didn't look right, but added lovely vintage gold buttons he had found at an estate sale once. He had been looking for just the right thing to put them on. The trousers that matched were much more plain, Kurt not wanting to overshadow his extravagant jacket, but they were expertly fitted to him. He finished the look with a red satin silk shirt, the slight shine just the right touch with his jacket. His shoes were also patent red and as he studied himself in the event space's mirror, he knew he looked good. But that was never really the issue.

Even the organizing and execution of the gala had gone splendidly. With Brittany and Adam's help, everything had been perfect. The space looked gorgeous, the entertainment was amazing, and the food smelled delicious. It was ready. He was ready. Sort of.

"Hey Kurt!" Brittany poked her head into the bathroom, Her makeup was done a little heavier and her hair was pulled back in a slick pony tail. She was wearing a beautiful black long-sleeved dress with a swishy soft tule skirt belted with velvet that tied into a bow in the back. She had told him she wanted to sort of match with him, even going so far as to wear red lipstick and red shoes. "Adam has arrived along with several of the entertainers." She made a face. "I thought you would want to be there…" She looked around and noted no one else was in the bathroom. "Blaine and Adam are both here," she whispered loudly. "At the same time." She raised her eyebrows meaningfully.

Kurt clicked his tongue and flicked his wrist in a shooing motion. "Thank you, Brittany. I'll be out in a second."

Her sparkly crystal earrings flashed as she nodded and disappeared, the door swinging shut behind her. She suddenly ducked back in. "You look gorgeous by the way. Like a sparkly unicorn."

He understood Brittany enough at this point to know that was high praise. "Thank you. You look beautiful too."

She winked and left once again, skirt swishing.

He gave himself one last look in the mirror and nodded. "You can do this."

The previous week had been a busy one getting last minute things together for the gala and trying to spend as much time with Kit as possible. Adam had gotten over himself a few days after their terrible date and apologized to Kurt which ended with them making out in his office a little. It was nice, but it wasn't the same as when Blaine kissed him. Ever since then, Adam had been busy with the gala and their regular work too so he hadn't tried to ask Kurt out again. Kurt was just as busy so it didn't really bother him.

Blaine had understood as well, needing time to prepare a set list and to get something suitable to wear anyway. Things were odd with him the few days after their date, but Kurt honestly didn't have time to dissect it. He had texted Blaine a few times, thanking him for the date and just because he wanted to. A few days ago, he had seen some birds on the sidewalk pecking at someone's spilled French fries as he was grabbing lunch one day. He impulsively texted Blaine saying the birds were following him like the day in the park. Blaine texted him back almost immediately, on his own lunch break and said they must think he was cute. Then he asked if they could have lunch together since they were in the same area.

That led to Blaine pushing him into the leaned back seat of his car and giving him one of the best blow jobs of his entire life. The way he sucked him had his eyes rolling back until he was coming down Blaine's throat. After kissing frantically, Kurt yanked him up and traded places with him so he could return the favor. If the sounds Blaine was making and the way he clawed at the window was any indication, he wasn't too bad himself. They parted ways with one more kiss, slower and sweeter. That was the last time he had seen Blaine for a few days although they had shared a few texts and calls.

Now he was about to go face both of them. This next week he wouldn't have any excuses and he would have to make a choice sooner rather than later. It wasn't fair to keep stringing both of them along. As he left the bathroom, he bumped into a tall, lithe man wearing a plain black tux.

"Excuse me," Kurt mumbled and locked eyes with him.

"No, excuse me—"

At first, he only apologized, but then seemed to recognize Kurt and suddenly gave him the dirtiest look. Kurt gulped and ran away, not really sure what he did to upset the man, but not sticking around to find out. If anyone caused trouble, he would just have security handle it.

Kurt made his way to the back entrance where the caterers and entertainers were coming in to begin their jobs and came across Blaine. He froze at the sight of him.

He was in all black, a diamond and zigzag patterned suit over a black shirt and black bow tie. His hair had been carefully styled and the stubble he was growing trimmed. Kurt's knees nearly gave way and his heart stuttered as he drank him in. He looked like the star Kurt saw him as and he found himself floating towards him. Blaine caught sight of him and smiled brilliantly, eyeing his own suit with barely contained hunger. Kurt preened at the way he was drooling over him, slipping his hands into his pockets as he approached.

"You look a little lost." Kurt smiled back at him and tried to control the blush he was sure was flooding his neck, ears, and face.

"I am," Blaine replied breathlessly. "I've been looking for you forever. Kurt, you look… I can't believe you made that! I mean, of course you did because you're so talented. Mike took me to his uncle's shop and I thought I looked nice, but you…" He swallowed hard, his hazel eyes lighting up. "You're gorgeous."

Kurt was definitely blushing now. He was an adult, damnit, and constantly flushing like a young boy. It drove him crazy. He scuffed the floor a bit, needing a break from the earnest way Blaine's eyes were boring into his. "Thank you. You are too. You look very nice. I like the suit."

"Thank you." Blaine started to lean forward like he was going to kiss Kurt, but at the last second he stopped and glanced around clearing his throat. "Sorry." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Kind of forgot we were at your work."

Work… Work! Kurt snapped back into work mode and straightened his jacket. "Right. Yes, of course. You brought your guitar?"

Blaine nodded, a smile he was trying to smother playing at his lips. "Uh, yes." He indicated the giant case at his feet that Kurt must have been blind to have missed. "Before I do get set up though…" Blaine pulled a red pocket square from his pocket the exact color of Kurt's shirt and tucked it into the front pocket of his jacket where it showed just a little. "I wanted to get one the same color as your eyes, but I was instructed to do this."

Kurt swallowed against his dry throat and lifted his eyes to Blaine's. "Instructed? By who?"

"Kurt!" Brittany came swishing over followed by Adam, who was obviously flustered. "Look who I found lost in the garden." She smiled brightly at Adam. "Silly goose!"

Adam scowled at her. "I was following the map you sent me! This place is enormous." He rolled his eyes and turned to Kurt, kissing his cheek. "Hello, Pet. Sorry I'm late."

Kurt noted how Blaine glared at Adam and how the glare was returned when the blond noticed Blaine. He wanted to roll his eyes at their posturing. Kurt put his hands on his hips.

"Well? Are we going to be civil or act like high schoolers? Greet each other."

"Anderson," muttered Adam.

"Crawfish." Blaine nodded sharply.

"It's Crawford, you nit."

"Ah. Real shame. You would be so much cooler with the name Adam Crawfish." The mischievous glint in Blaine's eyes let Kurt know he did not think it would be cool and he was trying to annoy Adam.

"Blaine…" Kurt warned.

Adam narrowed his eyes at Blaine and huffed, just about to let the man have it when manicured fingers wrapped around Kurt's shoulder.

"And what do we have here?" Santana glided up to the group, her long sleeved light pink and gold lace dress wrapped around her curves. She smirked at the group until her eyes fell on Brittany and she froze, nails digging into Kurt's shoulder.

Mercedes followed, gorgeous in a black and silver glitter dress with bell sleeves and her hair is waves. She wrapped an arm around Kurt's waist on his other side. "Show us to the stage!"

"So these are my dear friends from high school, Mercedes and Santana. They are singing tonight. Ladies, this is Blaine Anderson, also singing. And Adam Crawford, my coworker who helped set all this up. And then this is my assistant Brittany—"

"As he said," Santana shoved past the others to get to Brittany and take her hand delicately in her own. "I'm Santana. Brittany is a beautiful name." She kissed the back of Brittany's hand gently, the blonde's cheeks tinting a little pink.

"Oh! It's so nice to meet you! I thought you were movie stars! I saw Kurt's pictures of you two on the wall and figured you had to be models or something because you are both so gorgeous!"

Santana's predatory grin widened and her dark eyes burned with lust. "How sweet. You're quite beautiful yourself."

Brittany giggled and the others just traded awkward looks as the two women flirted with each other.

Mercedes coughed and got a good look at Kurt's jacket. She whistled. "Oh that's pretty. You did a great job Kurt!"

Kurt chuckled. "Thanks."

Adam paid more attention to Kurt now and his eyes widened as he took in the ensemble. "You made that?"

It stung a little that Adam hadn't really paid attention because he could have sworn he had showed the designs to him. Kurt didn't let his disappointment show though. "Uh, yes." He stuck his nose in the air. "I am a designer."

"He's only been working on it for weeks," Blaine snapped as he crossed his arms. Adam honed in on the red pocket square. "It's made his hands super sore. He hasn't even been able to give hand jo—"

"Okaaaaaay," Kurt interjected before Blaine could involve everyone in his business. He clapped his hands together. "Let's get to the stage for mic check!"

"I don't even see why we need him," Adam said sullenly. "Why would you even invite him?"

"Oh, I did." Brittany grinned as Santana dropped the piece of her hair she had been complementing. "I saw a hole to fill and thought, who would Kurt pick to fill a hole… Naturally, I gave Blaine an invite."

Adam seethed.

Kurt slapped a hand to his face.

Blaine grinned smugly.

Mercedes sucked her lips in.

Amusement lit up Santana's face.

"I just think it's a terrible idea to have someone like him—"

"You know I have you to thank," Brittany said, eyelashes fluttering. "You were complain— I mean talking about him to your friend on the phone the other day and I thought, 'Oh! He would be a great choice!' You're so full of great ideas, Mr. Crawford."

Blaine snorted.

Adam was an unhealthy shade of red now and he stormed off, grumbling something about checking the caterers.

Santana tucked the strand of Brittany's hair behind her ear. "You're a diabolical genius. I love everything about this."

Brittany just beamed at her and motioned to Mercedes. "I'll show you all where to get set up. Are you coming Blaine?"

"In a sec."

She nodded and led Mercedes and Santana away, the latter who seemed to float behind Brittany with hearts in her eyes.

Blaine licked his lips, turning to Kurt. "I hope I'm not making things more difficult for you. If it's too much trouble, I can leave?" He stepped a little closer.

Kurt wanted him to wrap his arms around him, but he also wanted him to back away and leave him alone. He gave Blaine a mild grin and shook his head. "Of course you can stay. Let's just all try to get along please?"

"I'll try." Blaine took his hand, lifting his fingers to his mouth. "Every song I sing will be for you tonight. Even if you're dancing with him."

Kurt couldn't resist the shiver that ran through his body at the soft lips touching his hand or the searing look Blaine gave him as he did it. Before he could figure out a suitable response, Blaine had hurried off in the direction the women had gone.

Gaining control of his body, Kurt headed off to check on things when he caught sight of that man from the bathroom again. He was glaring at him again. Kurt decided to say something, but as he marched towards the man, he slinked off into the bustle of servers and delivery people.

"Who is that guy?" he muttered as he changed directions to go see if the seating was being executed properly.

Things went off well after that. Kurt made certain all the employees knew where to go and what to do before passing things off to the event coordinator. Then Adam found him and started laying it on thick, an arm around his waist or a quick kiss to his cheek. Kurt wasn't trying to be rude, but he was trying to work the room and Adam was clinging to him no matter where he went, calling him dear or pet. It started to frustrate him a little when he was supposed to be networking and Adam kept pushing things, making it about them as a couple.

There had been a string quartet that played for the first half hour of the event while everyone arrived and began eating. Kurt went up to say a few words, Adam on his heels. He stepped away when the man tried to put an arm around his shoulders, not really caring if it hurt his feelings at this point. After he finished welcoming everyone and they applauded him, the guests began their meals, Kurt included. Kurt's jaw was hurting from gritting his teeth so hard when Blaine was welcomed to the stage amid polite clapping. He introduced himself, clearly on his best behavior and Kurt felt pride warm his heart as he watched Blaine begin to warm up the crowd for the ladies later. He started with a charming cover of Sinatra's I've Got You Under My Skin that had several couples heading to the dance floor. Blaine didn't look his way for the first half of the song, but then their eyes met over the crowd. The way Blaine eyed him and smiled at him sent his heart racing. It was just like he said; he was singing for Kurt.

I would sacrifice anything, come what might

For the sake of having you near

In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night

And repeats, how it yells in my ear

Don't you know, little fool

You never can win?

Why not use your mentality?

Step up, wake up to reality

But each time I do

Just the thought of you

Makes me stop just before I begin

'Cause I've got you under my skin

Yes, I've got you under my skin

Kurt sighed before he could stop himself and jumped a little when Adam spoke next to his ear.

"Not my favorite version." Adam wrinkled his nose at Blaine as he twirled his guitar, much to the delight of the crowd. "He's a bit pitchy."

Kurt didn't look away from Blaine as he replied. "I think he's marvelous."

Fingers on his chin forced his head towards Adam. The man looked sad and angry all at once. "Can I have your attention for a few minutes? Please?"

Kurt nodded, feeling a bit bad for ignoring Adam, but pulled his chin out of the man's grasp. He allowed him to lead him to the dance floor and tried not to look at Blaine as he began another song. Kurt didn't recognize it right at first as he felt Adam's hands at his waist and he rested his on Adam's shoulders. However, when he did, he cut his eyes towards Blaine who was watching them keenly.

Suddenly you're here, suddenly it starts

Can two anxious hearts beat as one?

Yesterday I was alone, today you walk

beside me

Something still unclear, something not yet

here has begun

Suddenly the world seems a different place

Somehow full of grace, full of light

How was I to know that so much hope was

held inside me?

What has passed is gone, now we journey on

Through the night

He couldn't hold the grin back. During a phone call when they were discussing plays and musicals after the incredibly sad one they saw on their last date, Blaine had asked him what his favorites were. He had listed them and Blaine confessed he hadn't seen Les Mis because it seemed boring. Kurt staunchly defended it and had told him this song in particular was a favorite. He sang it to Kit sometimes. The fact that he had learned it so quickly and put it in his playlist… Kurt couldn't wait to tease him about it later. He kind of forgot he was dancing with Adam until the man pulled back and noticed the smile on his face. Guilt gnawed at his gut. This was a very pretty song to dance to. Suddenly Adam was closing his eyes and leaning in. Kurt didn't think, just acted as he jerked away. Hurt scudded across his face as he opened his mouth to question Kurt when Brittany appeared at their side.

"Mr. Crawford! The caterer needs you! There's a problem!"

He looked to her and tried to bury his annoyance at being interrupted. "What problem?"

Kurt gave her a concerned frown. "What's wrong?"

She turned to Kurt and winked covertly before clutching Adam's arm. "No time to explain within earshot of the guests! Come!" She firmly led him away, leaving Kurt on the floor alone. Blaine was singing the beginning lyrics of Sam Cooke's Bring it On Home To Me when Kurt slipped through the crowd and hurried to the bathroom.

He could hear the faint music outside as he locked himself in a stall and leaned against the wall, letting his head fall back with a thunk. He stood there, breathing deeply for long enough that someone entered the room, used it, and left.

Why was he freaking out? It was just a kiss. He had made out with Adam before.

But not in front of Blaine…

Kurt shook away the thought as someone else came in. He tuned them out, along with the applause Blaine was getting as he ended his set. What was the matter with him? Sure, Adam was being a bit clingy, but that was probably Kurt's own fault since he hadn't been giving Adam much attention. Kurt sighed. Deciding to face his trouble he had caused himself, he unlocked the stall door and headed for the sink. A man standing across from his door startled him and he chuckled.

"Oh! You scared me…"

The chuckle died in his throat when he came face to face with him. The one who had been glaring at him all night.

Kurt raised himself to his full height and scowled at him. "Who the hell are you? What do you want?"

The man just smirked, his eyes glinting like knives in the soft light. He stepped towards Kurt.

"Oh, you don't know me yet, but that's all about to change. As for what I want…" his smile dropped and shattered like a glass dropped to the floor. "Break up with Adam."

Hey girl, hey girl

We can make it easy if we lift each other

Hey girl, hey girl

We don't need to keep on one-in' up

another

Hey girl, hey girl

Hey girl, hey girl

If you lose your way

Just know that I got you

Just know that I got you

Mercedes and Santana worked the stage, obviously knowing what they were doing. Their voices blended seamlessly. They had practiced and it showed. Blaine should have been packing up so he could go find Kurt, but he was having too much fun enjoying their stellar performance. He was just off stage, guitar next to him as he bobbed his head. Maybe he didn't even want to find Kurt. Okay, that was a lie. He did. It just irked him to watch him slow dancing with that asshole from the stage when he could do nothing about it because this gig had to go smoothly, for his sake and Kurt's.

"What the hell are you still doing here?" Adam snarled as he marched up to Blaine. "I thought the caterers already disposed of the rubbish."

Arms crossed, Blaine laughed, but his eyes were hard. "Ohhh, that was a good one! Bet you've got a whole list of those just saved in a note, don't you? That's fan behavior, sweetie. If you want an autograph, all you have to do is ask." He winked and turned back to the women on stage, intending to ignore Adam.

"As if. You ruined several perfectly good songs. If it wasn't for that daft secretary, you wouldn't even be here! You don't belong." Adam stood next to him, arms also crossed.

"Well, seems like everyone else disagrees with you. Nice try though."

"Please. They were just being nice. You don't belong on this stage or on any stage and I will make sure that dream is never realized."

Blaine turned to him then, a cold smile still fixed. "You know you look like a chihuahua when you get angry? Sound like one too. If only you were as cute." He shrugged and turned back to the stage.

"Funny. You look like someone that even his own parents would throw away."

Shock dropped Blaine's arms to his sides and he slowly turned back to Adam. The man had a cruel smile on his face.

"I looked into you when I knew you would be buzzing around like a gnat. Your parents gave you up willingly before you even turned eighteen?" He whistled. "You must have been some pain in the ass, and a delinquent, what's more."

Blaine wet his dry lips. "You don't know anything."

Adam could obviously see the effect his words had and dug in further. "I know enough to know you should be nowhere near a child. You are nothing. Kurt is better off without you."

Maybe if he had been told this right after he met Kurt, Blaine might have believed them. But now? After he had seen how happy Kurt seemed? Blaine smiled weakly.

"I might not be worth much to you or even myself some days, but thankfully others don't see it that way. Kurt can make his own choices. I think you're just scared it won't be you."

Rage darkened Adam's eyes and he bunched his fists at his sides. "Well, we will just see what choices he makes. He and I have been talking and we have plans. I'm sure he hasn't said anything to you, but why would he? Time to give up, mate."

Blaine tried to keep his face blank and unbothered, but the way he insinuated things about his relationship with Kurt had Blaine a little queasy. He bent and picked up his guitar case and slung it over his shoulder. Wordlessly, he brushed past Adam who was wearing a triumphant grin. He didn't even care about besting him anymore. He just needed to see Kurt.

"I'm sorry." Kurt pinched the bridge of his nose. "Did you say, 'Break up with Adam?'"

The man's smile jerked up a little. "Exactly. Good to know things are clear. Now, if you'll excuse me…"

"Wait! Hang on!" Kurt rested his hands on his hips. "Who are you?"

The man shook his head. "Not important. Just break up with Adam. Thanks, you're a doll."

"Okay, first of all, Adam and I aren't together—"

The man clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes. "Fine! End things. Whatever. Just tell him you are done with him."

Kurt could not believe what he was saying. "Why? Who are you?"

With a frustrated growl, the man started pacing in front of the sinks. "You are in my way and I want you out of the way. Simple enough? You are causing Adam nothing but misery! It's all I hear, day after day. 'Why won't Kurt pick me?' 'What does he see in that tattooed freak?'" He mimicked crying and then wheeled back around to a dumbstruck Kurt. "So do him a favor and let him go."

"He's miserable?" Kurt mumbled. His eyes narrowed. "Are you… Are you Sebastian?"

He didn't give anything away, but the little flinch in his shoulders told Kurt he was right. Adam had spoken of his best friend and even mentioned he might come with him tonight, but Kurt had never laid eyes on the man. They hadn't really discussed Sebastian other than to say he was excited to meet someone who was so important to Adam. One thing was apparent to Kurt, however.

"Are you in love with him?"

Sebastian's mocking smile turned wry. He was quick, moving until they were nose to nose. "Break up with him," Sebastian spat before pushing past him and shoving open the door.

Stunned, Kurt took a few moments to collect himself and left the room. There was a lot to process here and he really just wanted to focus on the evening instead of his complicated love life. He trudged slowly down the hallway towards the main area, smiling when he heard his friends singing.

Before he could even react, hands grabbed him roughly and pulled into into a dark room. He sputtered and struggled against the hands until he came face to face with warm hazel eyes and a devastatingly beautiful grin.

"Blaine?"

Wordlessly, Blaine attacked his mouth, immediately forcing his tongue inside Kurt's. Kurt moaned into it and Blaine pinned his wrists on either side of his head against the wall. Kurt kissed him back hungrily, wanting to do this ever since he saw him earlier. Blaine sucked on his bottom lip and Kurt tried to move his hands to Blaine's hair, but the singer pushed them harder against the wall when he felt Kurt try to wriggle free. Blaine's hair was coming loose a bit and a curl had fallen onto his forehead. He shook his head slowly, a feral smile causing Kurt to swallow hard.

"I think I like you right here, Kurt. I think you should let me have control this time." He pushed both Kurt's hands up over his head and held them with one hand while the other trailed slowly down his neck, tickling the skin. Kurt shivered at the way Blaine stared, eyes dark and blown with lust, lips red from their kissing. The finger traveled down his chest and to his stomach. "You're so fucking hot in this… I wish you had shown me earlier."

Kurt laughed, a breathy thing as he raised up his chin. He had stopped fighting Blaine's hold, something about giving him control was going straight to his dick. He knew he could get free if he really wanted to, but he didn't want to. "Maybe I wanted you to be helplessly turned on all night with nothing you could do about it," he teased.

The heat of Blaine's stare could melt him as he claimed Kurt's lips in another bruising kiss. His other hand drifted down to his belt, skimming the front of his trousers. Kurt moaned again as Blaine's lips traveled under his jaw and down his neck. "I want you so bad," Blaine mumbled into the soft skin right next to his throat. His tongue slipped under the collar of Kurt's shirt.

Kurt writhed at the attention, trying to push his hips into Blaine's hand, but he pulled it away with a wicked smile. "Admit you want me too."

Kurt raised an eyebrow haughtily, breathing heavy. "I won't." He was going to make Blaine work for this.

The challenge made Blaine's eyes light up from within. "You better." He kissed his neck a little more and Kurt let his head fall back. Blaine nipped at his earlobe and Kurt gasped.

"What are you going to do about it?" Kurt turned till they were eye to eye.

Something snapped in Blaine and he pushed Kurt harder against the wall somehow before ravishing his mouth again. Kurt groaned when Blaine's hips ground into his, giving him wonderful friction, but made a sound of disappointment when Blaine pulled them away.

"Tell me, Kurt." Blaine's lips drug up Kurt's throat and he nibbled on Kurt's chin, then his lips. "Tell me how much you want me." He rocked against Kurt, catching his cry in another kiss. "I can feel it." He emphasized the words with another hard thrust. "So just admit you want my mouth on you right now." He ground into him again, one hand still firmly holding Kurt's wrists while the other gripped onto his hips which he used to rut against.

Kurt's knees were about to give way, sweat was pebbling at his hair line, and he was arching against the wall trying to work his hips into Blaine's. He couldn't handle the teasing much longer and soon people would start looking for him. Kurt leveled a smoldering look of his own at Blaine. "On your knees and I'll show you how much I want you."

Blaine growled before catching Kurt's mouth on another searing kiss before letting go of his hands to hit his knees. He grinned up at Kurt, slowly unbuckling his belt and unzipping his pants.

Kurt was breathing heavily, about to come just by the look on Blaine's face as he pushed his underwear down and licked his bobbing erection like it was an ice cream cone. Kurt was torn between wanting to watch every second of Blaine blowing him and closing his eyes to feel everything. Kurt's wrists had fallen to his sides and he clutched at the wall, opting for watching Blaine. The man chuckled as he sunk down, causing vibrations on his dick that had him gasping in ecstasy.

"It's so good… Ah yes… Just like that… Blaine…"

He sucked him hard then slowly, his eyes glittering with excitement. He pulled off with another lick and laughed at Kurt's hiss of disapproval. "Tell me. Tell me how much you want me to suck you, Kurt."

Kurt whimpered as he started barely lapping at the head and bit his lip. "I want you. I want you so bad all the time. I think about you when I'm at my desk, when I'm all alone in bed at night, when I'm doing chores for god's sake. When I'm getting myself off, I replay every time we fuck and it makes me feel so good. So open your pretty mouth up and let me fuck it like it was made to do."

With that, Blaine lost control and started sucking Kurt so hard he saw stars. He grabbed Kurt's hips and used them to fuck his own mouth, letting the tip hit the back of his throat. Kurt had to bite his own knuckle so he didn't scream, the pleasure was so intense. What Blaine couldn't fit in his mouth, he grasped in his hand and then massaged Kurt's balls.

Kurt cried out again as he felt is orgasm build. Blaine must had felt his thighs shaking because he used the hand that was wrapped around Kurt and hastily undid his own pants before stroking himself in time with Kurt's thrusts. The wet heat of Blaine's mouth and the way he stroked himself had Kurt coming down his throat in seconds. He had to muffle his own cries with his fist as Blaine came with a grunt, his dick still sheathed in the man's mouth as he swallowed everything down.

Blaine smiled around it and then pulled off as Kurt twitched with over-sensitivity. He tucked Kurt back into his pants before sitting back on his own legs to catch his breath. Kurt finished buckling his pants and then pulled Blaine up by his lapels into a slow, passionate kiss. They broke apart and Kurt realized one of Blaine's hands was still covered in his own come. He chuckled and pulled out a small pack of baby wipes.

"I keep these on me for Kit, but I think you could use a few."

Blaine laughed and took the offered wipes before cleaning himself up and buttoning his pants.

Kurt watched him, noting something was a little off. Blaine was normally pretty chatty and smug after they did things, but he just looked at his hands as he cleaned them.

"Everything okay?"

Blaine looked up and nodded. The walls were back up. It saddened Kurt that he wasn't talking to him, but he wouldn't push. Blaine could tell him if he wanted to. Instead, he took Blaine's hand and tugged him towards the door.

"Dance with me?"

He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes as he shrugged. "I was thinking of heading home…"

Kurt pulled a little harder. "Please? I've wanted to dance with you all night. Just one?"

Apparently Blaine could resist Kurt's puppy dog eyes as well as he could resist Blaine's because he relented quickly. They gathered themselves together and made it out just as Mercedes was finishing Melt My Heart To Stone by Adele amid lots of applause. Kurt led Blaine to the dance floor, looking a bit nervous. But Kurt was determined that they were going to have fun. Santana stepped up to the mic and began her song, her smooth voice soaring beautifully.

Excuse me for this

l just want a kiss

I just wanna know what it feels like to touch

Something so pure

Something I'm so sure of

What it feels like to stand outside your door

I'm unworthy

I can see you're above me

But I can be lovely given the chance

Don't move

I wanna remember you just like this

Don't move

It's only a breath or two between our lips

They swayed together on the dance floor and it was just as magical as when they danced with the street musicians. Blaine buried his head in Kurt's neck and Kurt relaxed into it. He briefly caught the sad eyes of Adam who was dancing with Sebastian. The man still glared daggers at Kurt, but seemed elated to be in Adam's arms.

Kurt tightened his hold on Blaine and just let himself have this moment.

The song ended too quickly and everyone clapped for Santana who bowed slightly. Blaine and Kurt parted, both unwilling to let each other go. They came face to face, so close that all Kurt would have to do is tilt his head slightly to kiss him. But Blaine backed away with an effort, eyes still fixed on Kurt's lips.

He made a little noise in the back of his throat. "Uh, sorry. I know you don't like this kind of stuff at work… like kissing and stuff…" He smiled almost shyly which was in complete contrast to how brazen he was earlier. Kurt was about to kiss him anyway when someone cleared their throat loudly to get his attention.

Sebastian stood, smiling and friendly, but there was a sharpness in his eyes that made Kurt's defenses go up. Adam was beside him, eyes downcast and a little pout on his lips. Blaine looked immediately uncomfortable and it made Kurt want to hold his hand so he could share his strength. Sebastian nudged Adam with his elbow and the man finally looked up.

"Kurt. This is my best friend Sebastian. I brought him as my date." He looked up at Blaine oddly, almost like he was embarrassed or something. Blaine's eyes went hard. Kurt was going to scream if they came to blows like hormonal teenagers. Adam looked at his shoes again. "Ander— Uh, Blaine. Can I speak with you privately?"

Blaine raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Why? You already said enough earlier."

Kurt whipped his head back to Adam who winced. What did that mean?

"Please? I want to talk to you." His face was the picture of contrition.

It was enough to make Blaine begrudgingly nod towards the hallway and Adam follow him.

Kurt watched them go, really wanting to follow. But he hadn't been invited and he supposed it wasn't really his business. Maybe the two of them would calm down.

"Dance?"

Kurt turned back to a bored Sebastian who had his hands tucked casually in his pockets. Now that he was a little more calm, he noted Sebastian's clothes were expensive and perfect for his skin tone and coloring. This observation coupled with the knowledge he had of the man let Kurt know he liked expensive things, he knew what looked good on him and how to make himself desirable, and was bold enough to pull it off. He was also ruthless at getting what he wanted, but that he knew from the way he spoke.

Kurt smiled warily at him. "That depends. Are you just going to try to convince me to break up with Adam and try to lock me in a closet?"

Sebastian smiled and it was like needles. "Oh, I doubt you've seen the inside of a closet for quite some time."

Kurt huffed.

Sebastian held up his palms. "Last one, I swear." He grabbed Kurt's hand and pulled him back to the floor.

Blaine stopped when they got out the doors to the event space and turned on his heel to Adam. If the Asshole had any more nasty names for him, he was ready. He crossed his arms.

"Well?"

Adam folded his hands in front of him. "I… I may have stepped over the line earlier… and I apologize."

Blaine blinked in confusion. Whatever he had been expecting, it hadn't been that. "What?"

The blond huffed and began to pace a little in front of Blaine. "When I made the comment about… you… and your parents…" He scowled at the man. "I really can't stand you and honestly I think you are all wrong for him, but…" he pulled at his own hair like he had to force himself to say the next words. "I was a nasty prick and I apologize."

Blaine's eyebrows went up in surprise, but then furrowed as he narrowed his eyes. "What's the catch here? Why are you suddenly being nice? You gonna threaten me again?"

"My best friend out there... Sebastian. I was angry after we… talked and I told him what I said and he gave me what for. He's a bloody asshole sometimes, but at least he has class. He shamed me and told me I had to apologize."

Was he dreaming? Had he fainted from dancing with Kurt and was laying out there on the floor? This was so weird. He didn't know how to deal with people being nice to him that weren't his friends or Cooper or Kurt. He didn't know quite what to do. "Um…"

But Adam wasn't quite finished. He resumed his pacing. "I know I can have a temper and a tad of a nasty streak, but ever since I started dating Kurt, I feel like this has brought out the worst in me. I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm losing my mind!"

"I know the feeling," Blaine mumbled to himself.

"Well, I suppose that's all." Adam stopped in front of him and settled his hands on his hips. "I am sorry about what I said. But I won't take back thinking you aren't right for Kurt."

Blaine laughed and rubbed his forehead. "I can handle that. Thank you, I guess."

Adam nodded, relief that conversation was over evident in the set of his shoulders. "I'm still fighting for Kurt."

"So am I."

"I would expect nothing less."

They both nodded in agreement, both determined.

"I've changed my mind. Let's be friends."

Kurt frowned at Sebastian skeptically as they spun to another duet by Mercedes and Santana, Rihanna's Love On The Brain this time. They were flawless once again and Kurt was so proud of his friends.

"Yeah. Nice try." Kurt attempted to lead, but Sebastian wrenched it away from him gracefully as he twirled Kurt in a well-executed spin.

"I'm completely serious. I kind of wanted to intimidate you before, but after seeing you with sex-on-a-stick-and-sings-like-a-dream, I realized this would be way easier than I thought."

Kurt firmly, but seamlessly stepped forward, forcing Sebastian to take a step back. It caught him off guard momentarily, but seemed to amuse him. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Sebastian's lips twisted in a smirk and his nose wrinkled up. "Yeah, sure. Look, you obviously love attention." He gave a pointed look to his very sparkly jacket. "But Adam is my best friend—"

"That you're in love with," Kurt interjected.

He ignored that. "And I won't have some guy screw with him because you enjoy two men fighting over you."

"It's not about that," Kurt said through gritted teeth. "It just happened this way and I am trying to decide. I've been completely honest with both of them—"

"Oh, have you now?" Sebastian said mockingly. "Because I think you aren't being honest with yourself."

They both tried to push the other one back and ended up nose to nose and scowling at each other. Kurt felt he had met his match with this man.

"Speaking of being honest with yourself, have you told Adam?"

Sebastian's eyes burned with fury, but his smile remained fixed as he tried to lead the dance again.

"Told me what?"

They two startled and turned to see Blaine and Adam reluctantly standing next to each other and eyeing them with curiosity. Kurt noticed Sebastian's arms went slack and his teeth worried his bottom lip. Kurt did feel kind of bad for him because it was so obvious he liked Adam, but apparently the man only had eyes for him.

"That we are both dying of thirst," Kurt said quickly. "Would you grab us something to drink?" He knew it was a thin excuse and probably wouldn't be believed, but the way Sebastian seemed to relax at that made Kurt feel a little better.

"I'll get it," both Blaine and Adam said at the same time. They frowned at each other and went off into separate directions to get drinks.

Sebastian turned to Kurt, his arms folded close to his chest. "Wow, you have them trained so well. Ever consider a threesome? Or a foursome?" He eyed Kurt up and down in an appraising way and grinned. "Yeah. I could do that."

Kurt's mouth dropped open, scandalized. "I certainly will not!"

Sebastian laughed then, a dry pleasant sort of laugh. "Fine. Don't say I didn't offer to share." He grew more serious then. "Thanks, by the way. For not saying anything to Adam."

Kurt bounced his shoulders once. "It's not my business. I might be ruthless in my professional life, but I'm not going to be cruel when it comes to your feelings. Even if you are in love with the man I'm seeing."

"Don't be like that because I'm going to start liking you and I've already committed to wishing you suffering." Sebastian grinned again while shaking his head.

Kurt was saved answering by Blaine and Adam running back to them, both holding two glasses of champagne that sloshed over the rim as they tried to be the first to return. It was Blaine's bad luck that he stumbled over a woman's dress train and spilled most of his. Adam handed Kurt one of his glasses with a triumphant smile and Sebastian snatched the other one, draining it immediately. Blaine glowered at him and tossed back the rest of his half full glass like it was a shot.

A server brought Adam another two glasses which he took and held up. "I had them bring us some more so that you would have another—"

"No you don't." Blaine snatched it out of his hand and drained it, locking eyes with an unhappy Adam.

"It's fine. I've a spare—"

Blaine drained that one too and it was all Kurt could do to keep the laughter at bay at the way Adam looked like he wanted to wring Blaine's neck.

"You better stop before you get drunk," Kurt warned as Blaine started on the fourth glass in his hand.

He gave Kurt that look where he knew he was about to say something crass. "You know from experience I can take a lot, sweetheart." Then he winked and Kurt wanted to drown himself in his glass.

"You should come with Sebastian and me after this," Adam said, not to be outdone. "We are going to dinner and maybe a club. It would be fun?"

Blaine glared at Adam while Sebastian glared at Kurt. Kurt just wanted to get away from all the glaring.

"Afraid I can't," Kurt told him. "I'll have to let my nanny go home. Sorry." The thought of having to mentally spar with Sebastian all night made him immediately exhausted. The tension would be excruciating.

Adam seemed disappointed.

Sebastian tried to conceal his excitement behind his glass.

Blaine looked pleased.

"A date then? Tomorrow?" Adam's eyes begged him and he didn't want to hurt him further.

"You're going to that wedding with me, bestie," Sebastian cut in, irritation dripping from every word. Kurt suspected he used the biting tone to cover up some hurt feelings. "Don't tell me you forgot already."

Adam frowned.

"We will have dinner after work this week," Kurt said, hoping to cheer him up. It worked if the happy smile was any indication. Sebastian rolled his eyes and stalked off to find some more alcohol while Blaine stretched an arm around Kurt's shoulders.

"So this means you're free tomorrow?" He purred in Kurt's ear. The alcohol must have smoothed out his restraint at touching him.

It was Adam's turn to roll his eyes. Kurt didn't dare look at Blaine or he would probably lose himself. Images of things they did earlier already threatened to get him excited on a room full of people. Instead he sipped from his mostly full glass.

"What did you have in mind?"

"A birthday party. My roommate Tina's boyfriend. Bring Kit." He kissed Kurt's cheek and whispered in his ear. "And your dick."

"Wow. Smooth." Kurt felt his face grow hot.

Adam mumbled something about going to find Sebastian and stormed away. He watched him go and then looked at Blaine who had drained another glass of champagne and was blinking slowly. Kurt shook his head.

Blaine rolled his head to Kurt, leaving heavily upon the man. "This is the best party ever."

"You're getting drunk. You need to stop."

"I'm not drunk. Can I kiss you?"

Kurt kissed him chastely and led him towards the door. "Let's get you into a cab."

"'Kay. Wait! My guitar!"

"I'll go get it. You stay here." Kurt pointed at an ornate chair he plopped Blaine into and went to go get the instrument, but Blaine caught his hands. "Blaine, I need to go get it—"

"Are you and Kit coming tomorrow?" His eyes went big and turned to liquid golden-brown. "Please?"

Helpless to resist that face, Kurt smiled. "Yeah, we will come. I have no idea what to get him though so you better answer when I call you tomorrow."

"Always." Blaine kissed his hands. "Thank you." He started kissing his wrists and up his arms and Kurt had to pull away.

"Stay here."

Blaine grinned in buzzed delight as he slumped into his chair. "'Kay."

Kurt sighed as he oversaw the cleanup. His arms were crossed as he watched Santana flirt with Brittany out of the corner of his eye. Mercedes was talking to a few of Kurt's coworkers who were still hanging around. They would leave together in a few minutes, but he had something to do first. Something he really didn't want to.

"Right, I've given the caterer his check and they are finishing the cleanup— What's wrong?"

Nausea churned in Kurt's stomach as he looked up at the man. He wished he could make his heart obey. It would make things so much easier.

"Can we talk really quick?"

Adam nodded and followed him out to the garden in the back. It was beautiful, flowers capping sculpted hedges that framed the cobbled path. It was a perfect place to tell someone you wanted to be their boyfriend.

Kurt looked Adam in the eye. "Listen, I wanted to apologize first. Although I've been honest with you from the beginning, I never wanted to hurt your feelings."

"I know." Adam took his hand. "I appreciate that. And I want you to know I will never hurt you."

Kurt pulled his hands out of Adam's and shook his head slowly. "I think you're a great guy and I wish I could just make myself have feelings for you, but I—"

"Wow." Adam blinked rapidly and stepped away from Kurt. "So that's it?"

He was hurt. Kurt felt like absolute shit. This was part of why he was avoiding this conversation; he didn't want to hurt anyone. But no matter who he chose, someone would get hurt.

"I'm sorry. You are so nice and good with Kit, but I just don't feel that spark."

Adam laughed hollowly. "But you do with Blaine." It wasn't a question.

"This isn't about Blaine—"

"Isn't it?"

"This is about you and me," Kurt replied. He wrapped his arms around himself. "It's about us not being right for each other."

"It was never going to be me, was it?" He was staring off at the rose bushes like they could give him answers, hands on his hips.

Kurt took a deep breath that shook a little when he exhaled. "I really thought it could be. This is why I didn't want to be exclusive until I was sure. I'm really sorry."

"Me too." Adam looked up at him sadly. He tucked his hands into his pockets and looked back down to his feet. "I figured this was coming when I saw the way you looked at him tonight. I just hoped it wouldn't."

"I'm sorry," Kurt said again. He really didn't know what else to say. He felt just awful.

"I know." Adam turned and headed back towards the entrance. He stopped and turned around. "I'm going to need some space."

"I know."

Kurt waited until he had gone back inside, staring at the flowers swaying in the wind. He sighed. That was one of the hardest things he had to do in a long time.
