Zoe pottered about her room absentmindedly, going through her belongings and ingredients, making sure she had plenty of stock, in case she would need more. She needed to be prepared not only as a senior witch but as a teacher to the students. If she was ill prepared it would reflect badly on her but the other witches. She had responsibility now and she couldn't fall behind.

Kyle sat on the bed, watching her with fondness while minding his own business, she had grown so much from the wallflower she was when they met. She had finally blossomed into the girl he always saw her as. But he still had burning questions he sought from her, wishing to understand her more "Hey Zoe, have witches ever married normal people?" he asked. Growing up they had always been from storybooks, mythical beings that never truly existed and were supposed to be wicked. But here he was in love with one and dating one. He was still so new to the world of witches, but he needed to do better. He knew that Zoe's curse skipped generations, such as the fact she had inherited it while her mother hadn't, but her grandmother had. It was a recessive gift that rarely appeared in the girls of their family. He could understand why they would hide and remain private, why they wished to remain hidden if they were hunted down like animals. Did witches marry into other magical families through arranged marriages? Did they marry other magical beings? I mean he'd never met a witch before her, so how did they keep their bloodlines?

Zoe blinked, she knew Kyle still had issue with understanding how her world worked, but had happily accepted it, but there was still so much he didn't understand. Witches were still human, but they were blessed with innate magical properties, some more than others. The potency and gifts varied from girl to girl, but the supreme was strongest of all. Her grandmother had been a witch like her, though it skipped a generation following her, allowing the girls of her family to have normal lives. So her grandfather had been a normal man, he had impregnated her grandmother somehow. She'd never really thought too hard on her background much before, she had just been forced to accept it as her identity. People had just respected her privacy, but they all shared a common bond of trust and understanding. She laughed nervously, she had never been asked this so casually before "Uh, sure. I mean my grandma had to get pregnant with my mum somehow" she babbled. She hadn't really questioned her mother on family history before, truth be told her mother had never mentioned it until she nearly killed her boyfriend. She'd never considered anyone in their family would be a witch. But slowly it became something she was proud of. She couldn't have sex with normal people, she doubted Kyle could get her pregnant after what happened to him, she had nearly killed her boyfriend Charlie with her gift. She had previously accepted she would be isolated like Misty for the rest of her life, living in solitude and letting her lineage die with her. Maybe she would never have children, but then she was fine with that, motherhood didn't define her.

Kyle smiled shyly, he had no magical abilities whatsoever, he was still a normal guy aside from the enhanced powers he gained from resurrection. "Soooo if we had kids, metaphorically speaking. They might be a witch or a warlock?" he questioned. He may not have had any magic, but Zoe was the most powerful person he knew. Their kids would be blessed with powers like hers. Kyle loved Zoe immensely, he couldn't imagine a life without her in it, his future had changed so much. He'd previously been a hopeful daydreamer with his whole life ahead of him, but things had changed and so had he. He would love a family with her, he wasn't immortal so he couldn't spend his entire life with her. They promised to never leave one another and she had died once before, but he would live longer than average humans, he was more durable. Zoe blinked, she had never even questioned if she was capable of that kind of future, after her gift she had accepted she would never have a normal life. All the previous daydreams of teenage adolescence had been destroyed before they even began, she had changed her views and what would become of her life. Relationships, marriage and other things normal couples had she wouldn't be able to manage. She was a teacher now, nurturing young witches minds and guiding them through life, she was fulfilled in other ways.

Kyle shifted, he knew this was a lot to take in and he didn't want to pressure her. He was just happy by her side, so long as they were together. "I mean whatever Fiona did to me she fixed me up, I don't know if my ability to get people pregnant works but we can try" he mumbled. He had become a freak of nature, he wasn't supposed to be alive but here he was, walking and breathing. Being dead his anatomy had obviously changed, they hadn't had kids until now either, but it was something they may want.

Zoe blushed, she never knew Kyle even considered this stuff, he was often so secretive about the darker and more traumatic parts of his life which she respected. There were things she never spoke to him about too, being too unpleasant to reflect upon. She and Kyle had been in a relationship for two years now, she was nineteen now and they met when she was seventeen. They had a healthy relationship and were actively sexual. But they had been careful, she wasn't going to be a teenager anymore, her life was changing, she was older and wiser. It wasn't a bad thing to consider her own life outside of the coven, even Cordelia had wanted to be a mother once. Kyle was communicating with her in a healthy way, expressing his honest feelings and what he wanted for their future. She reached out to squeeze his hand reassuringly"You... you would want a family with me? Marriage, all that stuff?" she babbled.

He squeezed her hand back reassuringly, he knew Zoe had questioned what she was capable of outside of being a witch. Honestly he didn't blame her "I want everything with you Zoe, all of it" he smiled. He had never felt as happy or alive as he had with her, he didn't care when it happened, they could figure all of that out together. They had faced worse, they could take on anything with one another. He would never look at another woman, want another woman, love another woman like he did Zoe. She was the light of his life, his sunshine, she made him feel warm and fuzzy inside. Zoe smiled, he had once hated being a witch with every fibre of her being, believing her powers to be a curse. She had isolated herself from other witches, hated socialising as people who flirted with her expected sex which she couldn't do. She had assumed she would enter celibacy by force on account of her black widow curse. But somehow unexpectedly she had found a relationship that worked. Kyle had helped her find the love she craved, finding a home amongst her fellow witches. She wrapped her arms around Kyle, kissing his head as she held him close. This is where she belonged.
